Dr Austin has been amazing. I have had a breast lift with fat graft, tummy tuck with lipo, body tite with lipo and cool tone. First of all my scars look amazing. My results have been nothing less than amazing. I love Dr Austin's straight no chaser personality. His staff is amazing and they take great care of me. They are very responsive to calls and very professional. They are kind and make you feel like you matter. These procedures have increased my confidence and have truly been life changing for me.
I am 2 days into a Mastopexy, and the experience so far has been better than I expected. There was initial pain the first hour after surgery, but pain medication and rest took care of that. Staying ahead of the pain helps immensely, and I would recommend following the Dr orders to a T. If you have been prescribed pain meds have them with you to take directly after the procedure if needed. After my follow up visit today I was advised that I can remove the bindings tomorrow and shower. I am apprehensive and excited to see the results, but the true purpose was to relieve back pain...will do a follow up review with pictures. May leave the black magic marker for Halloween :)
I am recovering from Smart Lipo on my upper arms an inner thighs. I have been nothing but impressed from the get-go. Dr. Austin is great, and my favorite person on his staff is Tiffany, she really helped calm my nerves before and during the procedure. Assuming my recovery goes well and I’m not too afraid, lol, I will definitely have Dr. Austin do other things in the future.
My motivation just to be more comfortable and pleasing to the eye as well. Most of all wear bathing suits and outfits I couldn't! I am on day seven and my post op appt is i. 2.5 hrs. I am looking forward to it! The past three days have been nothing but uncomfortable from the stitches all of them poking me to death! Like an itch u can't scratch or a mosquito bite u cant scratch that just keeps biting you!It also has changed a-lot over one week with swelling going down and bruising starting to lighten. I had only labiaplasty no hood rejuvenation. I also had the wedge procedure as well as another small amount removed on each side at the bottom as well. I'm excited for this next week and to see if the stitches finally absorb bc thats literally the worst part. Pictures from before, day of, and day five. I will keep updating.
I am a patient of MD Austin for tummy tuck, muscle repair, lipo to: flanks, abd, chin/neck. Words cannot express how elated I am with my results. Austin has restored my self confidence and took 10 yrs of stress off my face. I had consults with the top 2 plastic surgeons in Augusta ga I choose Austin b/c not only is he good but he is knowledgeable of the anatomy behind it, he explained the vascular structure of the stomach, all possible complications (the good bad and ugly) I received a true "informed consent" that wasn't rushed, he didn't seem distracted, he was in his zone and his confidence shined. He is a man who loves his line of work and wants you to love your results. I didn't not receive that with my other local consultations. I could go on and on about my experience from the ladies at the front desk, to his nurses everyone was very WELCOMING and I am in awe with my results. I have attached my 1 day post opt photos and will be doing follow up reviews on realself.com ;) ; as their instagram states "Your body isnt the sexiest thing about you, the self confidence you have in it is" #sea plastic surgery Updated on 5 May 2021: Attached updated photo, my swelling continues to go down every day.. looking forward to the weeks that lie ahead. My contouring is showing, my night go has more swelling than my left but patiently waiting to see what happens, i will post more updates in the future Updated on 28 Aug 2021: 4mts post opt, still in love with my results !!!!!! I breastfed my son and pumped for 14 months, and after weaning him I was disappointed that my breasts not only shrunk to be smaller than they were when I was pregnant and breastfeeding, but were even smaller than before I became pregnant and were sagging. I decided to look into breast augmentation and saw good reviews for doctor Austin. originally I wanted to get fat transfer, but I’m too thin so I opted for implants. I was very unsettled on getting silicone implants because I plan to breastfeed again in the future, and I worried about rupture and not knowing if silicone was leaking into my body. I decided to try saline implants instead but was encouraged against it by Dr Austin’s surgery coordinator, who said they don’t look or feel natural like silicone implants. So after months of going back and forth and rescheduling my surgery I put a $500 down payment on and extensive research and thought, I decided I would only get structured saline implants, which are called ideal implants. I called Dr Austin’s office to cancel my surgery and was thrilled when they told me they offer ideal implants. The staff at 7 seas was so flexible and informative and everything from my pre op to surgery day to post op to recovery went so smoothly. They have you come in for multiple follow up appointments and really are available to answer any of your questions over the phone, whether it was before or after surgery. I wanted my breasts to look like they did when I was nursing, and I wanted a natural look and was worried about looking fake Orlando didn’t want them to be too big. I showed Dr Austin my wish pics and now looking back I look even better than my pictures! They are very proportionate to my body and because I had already had my dream boobs I knew exactly what I wanted to look and feel like and Dr Austin made my dreams come true again..I’m 8 weeks post op now and I am loving how I look! I definitely recommend Dr Austin and his practice!
Dr. Austin performed a scar revision procedure on me . The scar was wide and raised and unsightly from a previous stitch job from another surgeon. Dr. Austin made the scar so much better . I’m only a month post op and the scar is flat and much thinner. I acanthus wait to see the final results.
I had upper and lower bleph. pearl laser, and some fillers. This man will not [RS Bleep] you for your money. He will tell you what it is, and what it is not. First thing he said to me was "you don't need a face lift. He told me what to do I had it done. You will not leave with a trout pout, or looking like you went through a wind tunnel. Staff is wonderful. I would recommend him to everyone. I'm moving out of state, when I do my visits back will include appointments with him. That is how much I appreciate him, his staff, the work they do!
Amazing! I had a breast augmentation and liposuction a few weeks ago the entire experience was amazing! He made me feel super comfortable joked around but made sure I understood the process and what to expect. The entire staff is great no matter how many times I call or come in about silly questions they never get aggravated and always have patience. I am so pleased with my results didn’t have much bruising and my incisions were barely even noticeable a few days after surgery and the recovery has been super smooth and easy.
I went to a few plastic surgeons in Augusta for consultations. Dr Troy Austin had the most courteous staff and a great facility. I chose Dr Austin because of his great personality and the way he answered all my questions. I had two friends that had multiple procedures with Dr Austin and their outcomes were sensational. They also recommended him to me but I felt I should consult with more than one plastic surgeon. By visiting others, I was even more convinced Dr Austin was the ONLY choice! Updated on 7 Oct 2019: I am 51 and will be 52 in December. I have two children and breastfed. My youngest is now 12 yrs old. I I weighed about 168 pounds on the day of surgery. I scheduled my surgery for two weeks after my consultation. I thought I needed a breast lift and a tummy tuck but Dr Austin said I only needed volume in my upper breast and a mini tummy tuck. I opted for a full tummy tuck so that I could get a very flat tummy and waist and not just the extra skin removed. Dr. Austin decided on the size implant I needed to get the results I desired on my breasts. They are perfect!!! I am ecstatic at how little pain there is from the Mommy makeover procedure but the drains are a total nuisance!!! Please ask any questions and I will be happy to answer them to the best of my ability.
This is an excellent question and a very common issue after breast augmentation. Placement of implants beneath the breasts will lead to stretching of the nerves that supply sensation to the overlying skin and even the nipples. Hypersensitivity, and even sometimes hyposensitivity, is quite common. Sometimes, wearing a proper post-surgical bra will help reduce the hypersensitivity by providing some support and reducing further stretch on the nerves. I instruct my patients in sensory re-education techniques--much like a physical therapist would do after an injury. Simply put, stimulating these nerves more will teach them to calm down. Try rubbing the skin gently with different textures several times a day. Use your fingernails, finger tip pads, even cotton balls, to rub from areas with normal sensation to areas that are abnormal. This helps with both increased and decreased sensation of the breasts after augmentation. Ibuprofen may help in extreme cases. Time is the best answer, regardless of other modalities!
Excellent question, and one that I hear quite often in my practice--once the post-operative discomfort fades, patients tend to do more than they really should and can cause small problems. In your situation, it is likely that the scar tissue in the fold under the breast that is not quite completely formed has been torn to some degree. This is usually very temporary and fixes itself without any intervention. If you continue to have discomfort, or if the fold under the breast is not as well-defined as the other side, a support strap under the breast may help this healing process and protect the fold while it heals. This would typically be worn for 3 to 6 weeks, depending on your response. Your surgeon definitely needs to see you and evaluate you for any potential intervention--none of which would be surgical at this point. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. Though it is difficult to have a clear picture of your second question regarding avoiding a lift via augmentation alone without photos or an examination, your first question regarding use of underwire bras early after augmentation is very surgeon-specific. If your incision is under the breast, most surgeons would want you to avoid underwire until the incision is healed (my protocol is 6 weeks). For peri-areolar or transaxillary incisions, it probably does not really matter. Some surgeons even recommend not wearing a bra at all, though most believe in early and late post-operative support (myself included). If your breasts appear loose along the lower poles, it may be that your implants have not yet dropped into their final position. Time, and sometimes massage or occasionally a support strap placed over the implants, will probably help.Always maintain close follow-up with your board-certified plastic surgeon, as minor problems are usually easy to fix early on with conservative measures and can usually avoid costly revision surgery in the future!
