I am 2 days into a Mastopexy, and the experience so far has been better than I expected. There was initial pain the first hour after surgery, but pain medication and rest took care of that. Staying ahead of the pain helps immensely, and I would recommend following the Dr orders to a T. If you have been prescribed pain meds have them with you to take directly after the procedure if needed. After my follow up visit today I was advised that I can remove the bindings tomorrow and shower. I am apprehensive and excited to see the results, but the true purpose was to relieve back pain...will do a follow up review with pictures. May leave the black magic marker for Halloween :)

One week today, lots of itching (due to healing) but have learned to lightly massage my breast to relieve that sensation. Have showered every day since I was told I could, still using the antibacterial soap that I purchased as a precautionary measure. One breast has more redness than the other, nipple seems to be healing slower but overall nothing to be concerned about. I have a follow up progress appt tomorrow, may post pictures then of the results so far.

Four weeks into recovery. No pain, stitches are still apparent, dissolving slowly. My only concern is the bra situation, very difficult to find a bra that supports and does not roll up against the incisions. Not certain about the remainder of fatty tissue causing a square shape to the bottom of the breast. Could be swelling, watching change weekly though. Will update later.

Went to have bra fitted, and since i am still swollen she put me in a 40 D for comfort? Wait, I was in a C cup before the surgery, there needs to be significant swelling involved here, considering that I went in for a major reduction.

Thanks for the updates. I will be very interested to hear your final thoughts and see photos. My surgery is in 3 weeks and I just asked surgeon about square shaped “after” photos (bc I see it a lot). He was like, “Oh, I don’t do that” and then went right on talking. I don’t imagine anyone “intends” to do that and yet we see it in many of the photos. How’s your sensitivity? I hope only the best for your outcomes.
