7 weeks post
New party trick
Now 7 weeks post-op. Left is dropping a bit faster than right, but both are settling nicely. I am still waiting for them to round out at the bottom, but my doctor reassured me that they are still in fairly early healing. I have returned to exercising and notice that I can move my implants when I do pectoral exercises, which I find pretty entertaining.
Dr. Liu is Fabulous. I Love my New Boobs!
I have been considering breast augmentation for about ten years and I finally decided to take the plunge. I had three consultations but immediately knew Dr. Liu was the surgeon for me; he is so warm and caring but also honest, straight-forward, and professional. The day of surgery I was so confident in Dr. Liu’s abilities that I wasn’t really nervous, just thirsty as I couldn’t drink water that day. The nurse who prepped me for surgery could not stop raving about Dr. Liu and said I could not be in better hands. She also said that all the girls in the office would only go to Dr. Liu because he was so meticulous and fantastic. I woke up after surgery feeling groggy but in no pain. I stood up pretty soon after waking up and could feel some pressure and weight in my chest, but I was pretty out of it. When I got home I went straight to sleep and slept for the better part of 24 hours, only waking up to take medicine and drink water. I only took half an OxyContin the afternoon of surgery and then switched to Tylenol; I didn’t feel the need for the muscle relaxers either. When I woke up the next morning I could barely see, my vision was so blurry! It turns out I must have touched the anti-nausea patch the nurse put behind my ear before surgery and rubbed my eyes while sleeping—be careful NOT to do that because I freaked out! By day 2 my vision was back to normal and there wasn’t much pain, but I kept having the fear that the implants were going to just fall out from the incisions under my breasts—obviously I that didn’t happen but the weight was so foreign. I went back to work after about a week, but I could have probably done my desk job after 3 or so days as I wasn’t in pain and wasn’t taking medication. Over the first three weeks the muscles loosened up and the pressure subsided. Initially I had random, sharp nerve pains that lasted less than 3 seconds daily, but now they happen maybe once every 3 days. I am now exactly one month post-op and my boobs are looking fantastic! They’re still healing and aren't as low/soft as they will be in the end, but I love them. I’m so glad I had my surgery in the winter; when summer comes around they’ll be healed enough to swim, be active outside, wear new clothes, etc. plus the compression bras are pretty warm and I would NOT want to wear it in 100+ degree weather. I can’t wait to see how they continue to heal, but I already know I made the right choice. I feel so confident in my body.
