I had my second surgery with dr. Mitts in March. He is amazing! Everyone in his office is nice and caring. He is a very nice man. I have always felt comfortable with him. I had gastric bypass 2 years ago and I have never felt judged or embarrassed by the surgeries that he performed on me. He did an amazing job on removing the excess skin I had on my back and tummy. He is just simply amazing. I would not see another plastic surgeon.
Dr. Mitts is the best Plastic/Cosmetic Surgeon you could hope for. His staff is knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. I had breast augmentation surgery in 2000. Have had no problems and they still look as good today as they did 17 yrs ago. I recommended Dr. Mitts to my sister-in-law when she needed to get a tummy tuck and breast reconstruction/augmentation following a gastric bypass in which she lost a lot of weight. The surgery went well and her results were phenomenal!
I am 1 week out of tummy tuck and breast lift with implant. I feel great and I love the results so far! He is an amazing doctor and is a very nice man too! He made me feel comfortable during this process.
I consulted w five surgeons. Two of which suggested I do nothing because I look younger than my age. However I felt it was time for an update. Ultimately I decided on a neck lift, face lift w SMAS, lipo to inner, outer thighs and flanks. It was an all inclusive experience. The lab, surgery room and PS were in the same building; very convenient. The surgery folks were also very professional and took great care of me. I was happy from beginning to end with everyone involved.
I have been getting Botox for 10 years. I had it done between brows and across forehead, 50 units, twice a year. I love the results, it lasts a long time and I have a nice smooth forehead, no frown lines. It is important to go to a plastic surgeon or dermatologist. I pay $9 per unit. No bruising or discomfort after procedure. I am very happy with results after 3 days. Updated on 9 Aug 2014: Updated on 9 Aug 2014: This shows my forehead better
Hello all! I have been researching lip lifts for about 2 years now. By far real self has been the best resource, so I figured I should share my experience. I probably researched to a fault.. Reading anything and everything I could find online. More like an obsession! ;) I had virtual consults, email consults, in person consults, and phone consults. Let me just say that prices vary from$ 1500 to 5000. My choice was made less on price and more on trust and location. I wanted to stay close to home for a more comfortable recovery and the dr who has done my breast augmentations. That being said, I had my pre-op in May to set my June 17 appt. pics were taken procedure was described as well as recovery. All in all it seemed fairly easy as I had researched so much I felt I was well informed. I made the choice to only tell a few close friends and my husband. Not everyone is pro plastic surgery and it's definitely a personal choice. That being said, I plan to not leave the house for several days. :) Surgery day: I arrived at my appt and was put in a room in office and prepped for surgery. Face was cleaned and sterile blue towels all around my head. Dr. M reviewed the procedure and measured and marked my face. I was not given any type of med to relax, but that was my choice as I wanted to drive myself home and have a fairly high pain tolerance. Next up were the numbing shots... Yes they hurt but seriously it's just for a second. Quick ouch and it's done. A few of those and we were ready to go. Process took about 30 - 40 mins and other than the sensation of light tugging and pulling you feel nothing. The noises kinda sound funny but they are so close to your ears that you can hear it all. If that bothers you headphones could fix that issue. Before I knew it I was being cleaned up and sent out the door. After driving home I propped myself up in my bed and to my surprise the pain set in! I would say at about a 7-8. It was dull aching and sharp all at the same time. Miserable! I was told to take Advil by my doc, no pain meds were prescribed. Problem was he told me to stay on a liquid diet for 48 hours. I drank chicken broth and finally took 800mg of ibuprofen and that did the trick!! Thank goodness!! I am currently 28 hours post and zero pain. I'm assuming the pain was the numbing meds wearing off! When I first looked in the mirror I looked like a distorted bunny!! Today, I feel like I have a nice cuspids bow and a shorter lip. I've hard enough cosmetic surgery to know healing takes time and it's way too early to panic or judge. I need to rest and heal and follow drs orders. I will keep you updated. Thank you for reading and especially to all of the others that have posted here. Your posts helped me and hopefully mine can help too!! Updated on 19 Jun 2014: I forgot to add I'm 42 years old and had rhinoplasty and septoplasty 5 years ago. June 2009. After that my lip seemed so much longer. I loved my bump free nose, but hated my long lip! In pictures I looked toothless and had to manipulate my face to have teeth show. My approach to cosmetic surgery is more about being subtle and enhancing who you already are. I want my lip to be subtle but make my smile better. I've tried lip injections over the years which only made my lip look worse almost longer if that's possible. After all of my research I did not get the exact measurements of my lip and exact amount removed. I will get these on my follow up. I have known my dr for 15 years and he knew what I wanted. We marked and measured at my pre op and then again the day of surgery and I didn't write it down, however he did so I will update after my follow up tomorrow. Thanks for reading! Updated on 19 Jun 2014: Not much is new. Dr told me to stck toa soft/liquid diet. So that part is slightly bothersome, but weight loss is not a bad thing for me! Lol! Lips feel okay, stitches are irritating but they come out tomorrow 3 days. Seems quick but I'm not the dr. I will update once stitches are out and I can wear make up again! :) Updated on 20 Jun 2014: Got the stitches out today. Very easy just the same funny sensation of being so close to your ears that you hear the snip of the scissors... No fun! Of course it's not without a little watery eyes, but hey it's what I wanted right?? Everything looks good and I got the clearance to wear makeup. I was reminded to cover with sunscreen and no makeup is best for healing. Follow up in 2 weeks! I measured at 20mm and 4.5mm removed. My smile still feels funny but so far so good! Like I said before it was surgery and healing takes time! Updated on 22 Jun 2014: Not much new! Still healing with awkward stiff lips. Seems worse in the morning. Lol ;) my scar is a bit raised on the right side.. Not sure why??? I will ask questions at my follow up. Updated on 23 Jun 2014: Scar gets better each day. Still can't smile :) today I tried to rub my lips together after gloss was applied that didn't work out so well. Lips are just so stiff still and not really moveable. Updated on 28 Jun 2014: I'm 11 days post op! I've attached a pic with makeup and lipstick. Obviously I'm still healing, but I am good to go out and about and nobody really seems to notice. My lips still feel a bit stiff and weird. Honestly though a little better every single day. I'm very happy! So far so good!!! :) Updated on 23 Jun 2015: I'm still happy! Just on a side note the price I listed was not accurate for new patients. Sorry for the confusion, but I am a frequent patient as I listed in my initial story and I chose this dr based on trust and location (20 miles from home). You can call his office for a consult and current price. All movement has returned, no one ever asked me if I had surgery. Just the typical, did you cant your hair, lose weight, you look happy stuff! :) A part of me wants to remove a little more skin, but I think we all look at pics and get lip envy! I'm going in for a year check up in a few weeks, so I will update you! Thanks for reading!
I went from not even an A cup to a 34 DD using saline implants with 550 cc's, under the muscle. I already had two children, so my breasts were ready. I chose Dr. Mitts after reviewing much of his before and after photos of ALL his cosmetic surgery procedures. He has been doing cosmetic surgery for over 30 years. I visitied his office for a FREE consult, bringing my pictures of ideal breasts with me and his awesome nurse whos name I forget but has been with him forever, spent a good amount of time advising me & answering questions. He originally advised me to use a smaller implant with the same amount of cc's to avoid any overhang, since I have such a broad breast bone, but petite chest. I would have been closer to a full 34 C, 34 D. My fiance at the time really loved large breasts and suggested that I go larger, that it would look great, so I asked for the larger implants. Doctor used the larger implant but same amount of saline, so I ended up with a very full look, but not as much projection. My procedure was SO easy and I recovered in less than a week. I didn't have any of the "heavy" pressure on chest feeling that I read so much about and not much pain, either. I was prescribed some antibiotics and something for pain, but I don't remember having to use the pain meds much. I did end up with some overhang after my by implants settled & they have dropped considerably since I had the procedure done 10 years ago. It is a little difficult to find bras and I don't wear shirts in my normal size since my breasts are large for my frame. The still look great, but if you really look close, you can tell they are implants. That is my only regret, having gone with a larger size than what was suitiable for my small frame. It was fun when I was 23 & got some attention from the guys, but now it's just a pain in the rear finding bathing suit tops and the PTA moms can be a little judgmental. I am ready to have them redone, but have been advised that I should wait till I'm done having any kids. I just got remarried and figure I will have 2 more so I'm waiting. When I do have them redone, I will go with the smaller implant.
Dr. M does beautiful work! He did my tummy tuck and breast lift in 2009. I'm now scheduling a face-lift with him and know he will do an amazing job.
I went in for frown lines and very light marionette lines I had beautiful skin ,high cheeks no eye bags or sags and great lips. I was going to cancel my apt because I had a very bad sinus infection and had been given an injected antibiotic two days before but his assistant Debbie said it would be fine I now have severely collapsed cheeks and eyes(ptosis)which made the small amount of sagging on the side of my mouth worse and my ocular muscles and facial muscles are completely deteriorated also was way overfilled with juvaderm ultra plus which was way to aggressive for the small lines i had. 2 doctors have advised me that the antibiotics can massively increase botox which caused the muscle atrophy. Also I was laid flat which is not recommended. I have lost my beautiful face contour skin texture due to massive overdosing. I have facial pain and neck pain from the collpaed muscles and my visiopn which was perfect is now blurry all the time it has been 12 months and I look 10 years older than I did a year ago still no cheeks and eyes still sagging
Hello, I just turned 45. I'm married and have two children. I'm a small 36B, I'm 5'7, and weigh 138 lbs. I'm working on that weight. I have always loved my body. But have always wished for a little more. I have made an appt with a DR in Jan. I would love to be a full C. Not sure on size, shape, or type. Many questions. Updated on 27 Nov 2012: Ok, I have a question. If you go to a sauna, do your implants also warm up? I was stretching out this morning in the sauna at the gym and thought about the implants. Boobies are always on my mind. :) Updated on 6 Jan 2013: My consultation is this Friday! I'm super excited and a little nervous. I've done lots of research and not sure if I should do saline or silicone. I like saline because if it ruptures then I will know. However, I like the fact that you don't get so many ripples with silicone. Also, your percentage in getting cc is reduced. My hubby wants me to get saline. Not sure what I will do. Help! Updated on 26 Jan 2013: I went to my 2nd appt at Dr. Mitts office. Decided to increase cc's from 450 to 533. Also, changed from saline to silicone. Due to breast size and thin skin, thought it would be best to try and minimize rippling. I don't think I could handle a lot of rippling. I think I will be a small D. Not sure, I will have to call on Monday to check. My surgery is scheduled for Feburary the 6th. The surgery center will call two days before with surgery time. I'm offically off all meds, including birth control. I have bought three sports bra's, a body pillow, neck pillow, constipation pills, antibacterial soap, and slippers. On Monday I will do blood test and get meds filled. Paid off my surgery bill! Can't forget to mention that. I'm super excited and scared! Ok, I'm going to try and post pictures now. Hope I do it right. :) Updated on 28 Jan 2013: Well, I dropped off my prescription at SaveMart today and bought to bags of frozen peas for the swelling. A few hours later I got a call from the pharmacy saying the doctor forgot to date my prescription. Because the prescription included pain meds, they can't fill it without the doctor writing the date on it. No fax allowed. Well, now I have to wait till Thursday because that's when he has office hours in my town. So, I figured I would make another appointment to see if I can go BIGGER! Crazy huh! Surgery is on Feb the 6th and still no meds. Go figure. :) Updated on 29 Jan 2013: Well, I have decided to not increase my cc's. Even though I was feeling a little peer pressure. I will stay with 533 cc's. I should end up a very full C, small D depending on bra. I want boobs, I just don't want them to walk into a room before I do. I love wearing summer dresses and bikini tops. It's important for me to continue to look as natural as possible. :) Updated on 3 Feb 2013: 4 more days! I think I have everything I need. I will be using our sofa sleeper in tv room to recover. I know I will feel like an elephant is on my chest hopefully it will be more like a baby elephant than a mama elephant. Hahaha....I can't wait. I will have my hair washed and straighten the day before. I won't wash it again for a week. I don't want any additional pain. I know, yucky....but it's really a small price for boobies. I hope I don't end up with some serious frankenboobs! My doctor doesn't believe in massaging and my follow up appointment is one week later. :) Updated on 4 Feb 2013: 2 more days! Can't wait for my boobies. Still unsure if I should sleep on the sofa sleeper or love seat. I was stressed last night, hard to sleep. Tonight might be the same. :) Updated on 5 Feb 2013: I'm super stressed out! I will eat breakfast, since I can't tomorrow. I think I have everything. I hope I do. Please let me only have light pain and no frankenboobs. I have to drink water! Gosh! Maybe I can eat a special brownie to calm my nerves! :) Updated on 5 Feb 2013: I ate my last meal! For tonight......hehehe...I'm drinking tons of water. Downstairs room is all ready for recovery. Very nervous. Hope my new boobies are big enough. They felt big enough when I tried the sizers. Gosh! Please let me be the one with a fast recovery! Yikes! Updated on 6 Feb 2013: I'm leaving for the surgery center in 20 min. I'm nervous but calm. I'm also starving. Waiting for my BFF. I love you all. Thanks for your support. Will update when I can. See you on the other side. :) Updated on 7 Feb 2013: Hello everyone! I have boobs! My appointment was at 10:15, surgery was set at 11:00. Unfortunately the dr was running late. It was foggy and I believe that slowed the first person down. I didn't get in until 11:45 ish, surgery started at about 12:20. Had to answer questions with nurse, anastiliologist, and finally doctor drew on my chest. Also, had to pee in a cup. Then was walked into the surgery room. The bed was scary looking, jumped on it and got strapped down. They put monitors all over me and also some pressure socks. They put an IV in me and I was out. Didn't even see dr walk in. Then I woke up crying because my arms were killing. I have tendinitis n both arms. They gave me more pain meds and oxygen. I just keep saying my arms hurt. It was pretty sad. I was in recovery for about an hour. Longer than expected. Then the boobs started hurting. Man did they hurt. Not so much pressure but pain. Especially on sides. It was very hard to lay down without my boobs hurting. I have been rubbing arnica on them. Gosh they really hurt yesterday, today is better. I set my alarm for every 3 hours to take meds. It was a very long night. I'm exhausted! I haven't really looked at them. Thank god I found RealSelf, I really felt completely informed. I hope I end p a full D. I will post pictures as soon as my t-Rex arms allow me. Thanks for all your support. Love all of you. :) Updated on 7 Feb 2013: New pictures. Updated on 8 Feb 2013: Well, my boobs are getting a little softer. It's been hard getting out of bed. I'm taking my meds and spreading Arnica on them. I don't like morning boob, that's no fun. That god for my mommy's helper. She does everything and helps me out. Finally went poop, tmi, sorry. Can't wait for them to drop and fluff. Be patience! I know. :) Updated on 9 Feb 2013: Well, today I'm three days post op. My boobies are not as hard, they seem to be dropping a little. I got 533 silicone under the muscle and boy did I feel every cc after surgery. Sleeping sucks. Can't move to either side and scooting up is difficult. Every time I sit up or stand up I stretch out my arms. They do get stiff because of surgery. I'm glad I did abs workout before surgery. Makes it easier to move with out using my hands. I posted some pictures. Any thoughts. :)Updated on 11 Feb 2013:I'm 4 days post op. I'm moving very slowly, have to remember to stand up straight. I have pain here and there around the boobs. It's hard to be positive when you just want to lay down! How many more days do I have before I get my energy back? I'm feeling bummed out!Updated on 19 Feb 2013:I have a question. Hope it's not a dumb one. Can anyone else feel their implants dropping? I feel like they are, it really aches underneath boobs. Maybe the weight of them. Help!Updated on 19 Mar 2013:Hi booby buddies, tomorrow I will be 6 weeks! Can't believe it. Still have some tightness and tenderness at bottom of both boobs. Nipples aren't so sensitive. Thank goodness. They have dropped, not sure if they have more to drop. Sleeping only on my back and sides. No more morning boobs! That a big Yay! Still adjusting to how they feel. I will post an updated photo of my girls. :)Updated on 15 Apr 2013:Updated photo. I am 10 weeks. My right Boobie is still a little higher than left one. Called dr's office and they don't seem to care to much. I ordered a breast strap to see if I can get it a little lower. I've been doing massages on my own. Again no help from dr. Please check out photo and tell me if I'm just being paranoid. They look like this even when I wear a sports bra. My right has upper fullness and a crease. None on left. Thanks.
