More painful thank c-section, normal birth, or any other experience I have had, ever. That said, just the lines and the tightness and the fullness of my breasts are very exciting!! I can wait until I'm in less pain and can stand up and see the work that he did.
One last thing, the staff @ capital plastic surgery (McLean, va) were FANTASTIC. My nurse, Ashley, dr. Munasifi, and even my anesthesiologist were attentive, patient, funny, and just lovely people. I could not have ASKED for better caretakers through this experience!!

I have been toying with the idea of getting a...
2 years ago, at age 39, I made up my mind to do it - and had consultations with 4 well-reviewed doctors. One in Arlington, VA, one in Reston, VA and one in DC. All were "Doctor-selected Plastic Surgeons" that had higher prices and quality care..
The estimate for each was between $16K and $20K. I decided to save up, but had a hard time justifying the cost with one of the kids starting college.
Turning 40 last year, and putting on weight so that my (normally size 4-6 and some smaller 8's) were getting tight - as I was between 125-130 for the first 35 years of my life... Then soared to 208 during my twin pregnancy, and haven't gotten into anything but my size 8 clothes since then.
I started to not want to look in the mirror - and rarely exercised (wear does it fit with working full time AND being a mom of hyper boys!!) but when realized that I had I stopped wearing pants all together because my backside had developed its own "gravitational pull" (because it has achieved planet-sized status) I decided that I could put it off no longer.
In June, I pulled out my three "wish binder" consultation notes and estimates, and selected the doctor that seemed the most kindly, had the best before/after pics, had a super sweet staff AND happens to be just a few miles from my house. (Yay!)
Making arrangements to help with getting kids to and from summer camp for the first few days has been quite a chore, but otherwise it's been pretty exciting! I thought I would be a stress monkey, however reading all the stories here and looking at the awesome results has been incredibly motivating.
After having my daughter 18 years ago (at 23) and breastfeeding for just over a year - I was so certain that if I stopped worrying about it my body would "bounce back" like it did before. Hasn't happened... And my desire to NOT look at the sagging remains of my breasts (that had gotten to size FF or equally ridiculous while feeding the twins) hanging down to my knees every time I took off my bra. ("Grandma? Is that you in the mirror?!?")
So now my procedure is in 3 days. Will get my measurements and post some current/pre-op (and pregnancy!) pictures below:

You're right, pregnancy can really take a toll on a women's body, especially when having had twins!! So glad you can do this for yourself despite your busy schedule. So are you just getting implants or are you getting a lift too....and/or a tummy tuck? Just checking as we have a community called Mommy Makeover that consists of breast implants and tummy work at the same time. Let me know so I can further guide you on RealSelf!

No apologies needed! You're not necessarily posting in the wrong place. I'll move your review to the Mommy Makeover community so your review is more easily found by members like yourself!
