She is amazing. I saw her for acne scarring and she was the only physician I saw who not only performed subcision but explained why the multiple laser treatments I had done previously didn’t reduce the scarring. She performed subcision with bellafill initially. 6-8 months later she performed two sessions of clear and brilliant. While my scarring isn’t all gone it is the first time I have seen a definite improvement of at least 50%. I highly recommend anyone suffering from acne scarring go see her. I am in my late 30s and have spent thousands on my scarring. I wish I had seen her in my early twenties.
She is amazing. I am seeing her for acne scarring that is worsening with age. She used Voluma as the first step and it has made a huge difference. The result is beyond what I expected. I have had filler before, but nothing has come close to the results I have gotten in my first visit with her.
I got subcision + Bellafill with Dr. Suji Park-Idler for my acne scars back in January. I went into my consultation having reservations about Bellafill due to misinformation online, but she expertly addressed all my concerns and by the end I was 100% confident in my decision. I have full faith that Dr. Suji has her clients' best interests at heart and that I got the best possible results in her hands (she uses a different, more artistic technique that she's developed from her 10+ years of Bellafill experience). She is so experienced that I went home with zero bruising! She is very up front about the limitations and risks that come along with different procedures and I truly believe that she wants you to get whatever treatment will be the most effective for you, not the most expensive one. Very happy with my results 7 months out and would definitely go back to her again. Updated on 5 Jul 2018: Posted the wrong before pic earlier...I'd forgotten how bad it was D:
Hey all! I got subcision with Bellafill done yesterday with Dr. Suji Park-Idler in Raleigh, NC, and I am going to document my story and my experience of my scar-battling journey here! My first procedure is subcision with Bellafill for my depressed scars. If you haven't read my first post, feel free to check it out for a more detailed description of my condition, and what my treatment plan looks like. I am writing this post about 24hrs post procedure, and I am feeling pretty ecstatic about my looks right now. I am going to start from my state of mind and the state of my scars pre-procedure and record my everyday feelings and pictures chronologically. Day of: I woke up both excited and anxious about going in for my first ever scar remedy treatment. I reached Dr. Idler's office right on time, and Becky, Dr. Idler's wonderful assistant, and Dr. Idler were both ready for me. It was nice to see the punctuality and friendliness, and it eased some of my nervousness immediately. Becky gave me some paperwork to fill out, and even offered my some mocha, and my day was made, even before the actual procedure began. Anyone who knows me, knows my insatiable love for Starbucks mocha. Haha! After that, Dr. Suji Park-Idler took me to the procedure room, and explained all the ins and outs of my procedure. I have to say, it is always so great when a doctor takes the time and care to discuss the minutiae of things with her patient. I think it instills immediate trust and bonding between the doctor and the patient, and needless to say, all of my worries just floated away after that. The procedure itself went pretty smoothly, and I didn't experience much pain or discomfort at all, especially not anything unbearable. The only slightly painful or rather uncomfortable part was the numbing inject itself. Other than that, everything was painless albeit weird. Weird because you know what is happening but you don't really feel it at all. Also, instead of working on my dissertation, I spent the last 2 weeks since my initial appointment looking at videos of subcision on YouTube, and so I fully knew what Dr. Idler was doing. The total procedure took about an hour or so, and before I knew it, it was done. Dr. Idler had given me a hand held mirror, so I could check my progress in between the procedure. I could immediately see a vast difference, and Dr. Idler told me that she was very hopeful that I would see over 60% improvement, because of the way my scars reacted to the subcision. I was so excited that I wanted to plan the rest of my treatment immediately, but she said we should wait and see how this first round of subcision + 5 syringes of Bellafill performed on my scars. She massaged my face both during and after the procedure to ensure I didn't get any odd bumps and lumps. She also showed me how to massage my own cheeks at home, and then applied a think layer of make up on my treated areas to cover the mild redness and bruising that had ensued due to the procedure. Sweet, right?!!!! I know! I am never going to anyone else for my skin again!! In fact, I am planning on bringing my mom to Dr. Suji Park-Idler, who, by the way, has always had flawless skin, to get some filler for her wrinkles. She is 63 and almost perfect. After this, I paid and chatted some more with Becky, who also kinda told me what to expect in 2-3 weeks, and drove back home. I did ice my face a couple of times yesterday, the day of the procedure, and took some ibuprofen for pain. The pain was very mild, but I had a bad headache, and once I took the meds, I felt totally fine. My cheeks felt heavy and I had some bruising and some bleeding from the injection site, but nothing that uncomfortable. Day 1: I woke up this morning, and my cheeks were slightly sore, and so I took some more ibuprofen, but I don't think my swelling has gone up much. Plus, my scars look really good today! I know it's because of swelling, but I don't remember my cheeks looking this smooth since I was 16. I am posting before and after pics for reference, and I hope to update this blog as much as possible! Thank you for this amazing community, y'all!!! Updated on 10 Feb 2018: Its been almost 48 hours since my procedure, and I think my swelling and bruising has gone down by at least 20%. My cheeks are still tender to touch, but the pain is also pretty minor. I am posting a couple of new pictures from this morning. Cheers! Updated on 10 Feb 2018: Updated on 21 Feb 2018:
Dr Suji Park-Idler is an excellent professional and "artist". She has an eye for what is appropriate for each individual and facial structure. She doesn't overdo with filler but encourages a gradual process for the most natural look. She actually listens to what your goals are and advises accordingly. On top of that- she is a really nice person too!
I just got subcision followed with Bellafill about 3 weeks ago. I know it takes a few months to achieve noticeable result, but my skin definitely looks better than before now. Dr. Suji was very helpful and thoughtful. She knows what is the best for you.
I'm a busy professional and travel 80% of the time. I try as often as I can to exercise and stick to jogging and basics like sit-ups and push-ups. I consider myself fit. However, I'm 45 yrs old and have a little fat I can't get rid of around my midsection. I went to the Spa at Lafayette in Raleigh because they are one of the few practices in NC offering UltraShape Power for fat destruction and body sculpting. I've never been into the CoolSculpting craze and read about UltraShape being used in europe at higher power settings with amazing effect and it is totally non-invasive. I don't have time for downtime or bloating because I wear suits daily. When I went to the Spa for a message and saw they were offering the new Power version of UltraShape, I signed up. So far I've had two of my three treatments and I am fitting into my 32 pants for the first time in 10 years. I see a noticeable difference and my abdominal section is tighter without any change to my diet or increased exercise. It just works!
Last year I learned that an extra chin had attached its self to my neck. This made me look older then I felt & really troubled me. At the urging of my daughter and friend, I met with Dr. Suji Parks-Idler & found her to be both personable and professional. She answered all of my questions in a straight forward understandable way. I immediately felt very comfortable with her. The day of my procedure arrived and I was immediately taken to the treatment room. Dr. Parks-Idler numbed my neck & jaw area. The procedure was quickly and carefully done. All of my anxiety left as I came to realize there was no pain! After the procedure Dr. Parks-Idler's nurse took me to the Pod where I was eased into a pre warmed bed. There I was pampered, petted and treated like a queen for as long as I chose to stay. I drove myself home and slept comfortably that night. One year later, I am still pleased with the results.
At 72, I still liked my long neck. But, not the wrinkles, and not the skin under my chin. I met with 3 different plastic surgeons, but really wanted a less invasive solution. I then met with Dr. Park-Idler, learned about ThemiTight and decided to go ahead. I LOVE IT. Minimally invasive, QUICK RECOVERY, and friends think I've lost weight…or changed my hair…or makeup…I know I look better!!!
I feel that I have a youthful appearance but was unhappy about how my neck appeared after losing weight. It was crapy, which had me moisturizing all the time... That was very frustrating. I decided to have the procedure and was happy with the outcome... Also my neck line is much more defined, which was an added bonus! Unfortunately, there are no head-to-head clinical studies for laser vs radiofrequency therapy. Both techniques in the clinical trials have good response rates and results overall. Of note, there are more posted satisfaction ratings with ThermiVa than any other device. You might want to look at the risk benefit ratio of laser vs radiofrequency therapy for your mild stress incontinence. There is no downtime with radiofrequency whereas laser has 1-3day vaginal discharge and/or bleeding. Laser also requires numbing wheres RF does not and is quite comfortable. I have been treated with ThermiVa for my own stress incontinence (mid-40's, 3 children) and with complete resolution. Like most patient's, I needed a maintenance treatment at about 14 months. With any treatment like these, it will require maintenance and with ThermiaVa its usually 12-14 months. At my own practice, I perform all the treatments as a physican. I prefer to sit down with the patient and have a thorough gynecological history and physical to rule out other causes such as infection, prolapsed bladder, bladder spasms. So I would encourage you to at least for the first treatment seek attention from a physician. ThermiVa requires a treatment every 1 month for a full 3. I hope this helps!
