I Love my New Breasts! -La Jolla, CA

I am a CrossFit addict and U.S. Marine. I do weightlifting workouts twice a day, 6 days a week, which left me with very small breasts. Prior to CrossFit I was a 34B, but went down to a 34A. Paired with muscular shoulders and legs, I looked very disproportioned. My ex-husband said I lost my femininity and looked masculine. This made me feel very self conscious. Since I'm not willing to give up my love of Crossfit, I decided to balance my figure with breast implants. I really could have it all! Muscles and feminine breasts!
Dr. Kincaid was my first and only consultation. After meeting with him and his staff, I felt extremely comfortable and felt no need to look elsewhere.
Not only was I impressed with Dr. Kincaid's extensive list of education and experience, but his office happened to have some incredible discounts when I went in. I got a discount for paying cash, one for booking before a certain date and I believe I got 5% off for being active duty military! My procedure for silicone gel under the muscle was $5,600 with all of the discounts!!!!
Now, onto the surgery and results. I'm not going to whine and complain about the pain, because it is surgery...it's going to be painful. But I can honestly say that once I saw my amazing new breasts, it was worth all of the pain. I went with 520 cc, which brought me from a 34A to a 34D-34DD! I look amazing now! For the first time in my life I am comfortable with my body. I would do this procedure a hundred times over. My scars are very clean and obviously the work of a skilled surgeon. I have seen hundreds of before & after photos and I think my breasts look better than all of the ones I saw. I'm amazed with my results. They feel great! They're amazing!!!!!!
GO TO DR. KINCAID!

Have you gone back to the gym yet? Do you plan to modify any of your workouts( specifically chest) because of your implants? I'm a few months out but pretty much stay away from chest specific weight lifting exercises and even pushups. I just don't think I can get used to the feeling of my muscle squeezing the implant, also it looks soooo weird.. Eeekkk! I do plenty of yoga and am fine with planks and chatturanga, thank goodness. I was afraid I wouldn't get used to thatt feeling but its non existent now:-)

I started CrossFit again at 6 weeks post op when my surgeon told me I was clear to resume ALL activities. Prior to BA I was lifting very heavy. My first CrossFit workout I used 45 lbs (Olympic barbell) for power cleans & front squats. My 2nd CrossFit workout I was doing 50 burpees (much slower & more carefully), 50 push press @ 45 lbs, 50 box jumps, 50 wall balls, 50 kettlebell swings at 12kg, double unders, and a few other exercises. Things I can't do anymore...YET: -Handstands -Handstand push-ups -Pull ups (must use assistance band) -Hanging from the pull up bar -Push ups feel strange, so I do hand release push ups. Everything else is fine, just slower and lighter. I don't want to mess up my investment

Congratulations! I agree with you, you look amazing! That's awesome you're addicted to CrossFit...good for you. Just make sure to follow your doctor's orders on getting back to chest exercises. The gym will always be there waiting for you...but give your chest muscles some time to heal. (That was my motherly advice for the day.)  :)  Glad you've had a great experience. Thank you for sharing your story on RealSelf!

I waited until I was given the "Resume ALL activities" from my doc. I am taking it slower & lighter. As much as it pains me not to finish first, I am protecting my investment

Yeah! Good to hear! I love your competitive edge, but now it's in your looks!

You look great! Did you start doing any cardio or anything before your 6 weeks?

At 2 weeks post-op I hiked the trails on Camp Pendleton and did the elliptical and stair master. At 3 weeks I took my first post-op spin class. It was a bit awkward and I couldn't really use the handlebars well. I continued cardio machines, hiking and spin class until 4 weeks. At 4 weeks I started doing circuits with walking lunges, weighted back squats (with a squat rack), step ups, air squats and abs. At 1 month I jog/walked the really hilly trails of camp Pendleton and made it 4.5 miles in 50 minutes. After that successful run I continued running 4-5 miles every other day. I just have to make sure I wear a really good sports bra. So yeah, cardio and leg exercises is what got me through until the "All clear".

I'm 3 weeks PO and ran the first time today. Only did 1.5 miles but it felt great! Thanks for your timeline for exercising!

That was my main stressor. I thought I would go crazy not working out. The first 2 weeks I could barely move though, let alone workout. But at 2-3 weeks you can start breaking a sweet and getting little decent workouts in.

Victoria's Secret Bra Fitting!!

Lindsey Oceanside
So, I posted that I went from a 34A to a 34D. CORRECTION! I was measured today at a 32DDD. I can also wear a 34DD, but on the last hook, so if it stretches it would be too big. Wowzers! I wasn't expecting to measure in that large. I'm pretty excited! Would it be excessive to buy the "Add 2 cup sizes bra"?

You give me hope. I am slim and muscular--stringy. I don't want to give up lifting but have little body fat AND nursed 3 kids, hence no boobs now. I hope I go through with it!
