Had a MMO Sept 8, 2021 and was left with dog ears. Dr Stan removed them and sucked me dry! Awesome bedside manner and even gave me a personal contact! He exceeded my expectations and is worth every penny!
I’m currently 1 week post op and my experience has been great so far. It initially started off with my Doctor (Dr. Ogu) being very understanding and perceptive to exactly what I wanted. He called me after my surgery and has been super easy to get in touch with no matter how silly the question or concern is. The staff have also been great and have made me feel extremely comfortable throughout the entire process. Looking forward to updating my review with how my body is looking 1 month post op! :)
It's been a year and I love my breast reduction results but after a year my tummy is uneven the right side has a pooch . I've been working with my surgeon for 5 months to see if it was fluid or if I needed more compression but neither worked. The fix will be surgical and I am excited!!!! It's not a huge pooch but definitely noticeable in a form fitting dress or a bathing suit. 2/15 is my date . I'll be posting updated before pics Updated on 26 Feb 2021: Everything looking amazing so far. Post op day 3 and I feel better than my initial surgery. I’m more mobile and able to sleep in bed. Pain is tolerable and easily managed. Looking forward o the process of getting to my final results, I expect that it will Be similar to my first round with final results in a year.
45 yr old mom of 2 c-section babies. My weight loss journey began in 2013 and now in 2019 I've reached the point where I can't accomplish much more without surgery. I began at 260lbs and naturally loss 105lbs with the exception of 13 weeks of HCG to begin a journey that has completely changed my life. Step one was figuring out what I wanted and then narrowing it down to what was actually possible. What is realistic and necessary for me to externally reflect how I feel on the inside is a breast lift NO implants, Tummy Tuck with muscle repair, liposuction, and a Mini thigh lift. So here are my stats 5'2" , 155 lbs, 28% BMI my goal weight was 145 lbs however after 3 surgery consultations I was told that my weight loss was sufficient for my post surgery goals and that I should focus on maintaining my current weight. Updated on 25 Aug 2019: This event in my life is becoming real AF, it's like I've been pregnant anticipating my own birth. I know the moment I decided to change and Why. I can divide this journey up into sections similar to trimesters just much longer. At the moment I conceived the thought of weight loss it was that simple- to no longer be fat. Vanity was not apart of the thought process, my health was poor and I simply wanted to live. Then as I started to see the changes I became intrigued with how I looked. My skin changed... I handed glowed in years . The dark patches on my face and neck began clearing up. Heck who knew I had a neck!!! I gained something I didn't know that I didn't have and that was confidence , I become self aware and self assured that I was strong, and smart and powerful enough to control my habits. That's the biggest gift this journey has provided me. This surgery is surely a luxury and for me it is the ending of a period in time where I abused myself for so long. My deposit will be placed next week!!! I will discuss the financial aspect later to help others plan . There are really good options out there. Peace Love and Joy Updated on 29 Aug 2019: Ok it’s officially in the books, my surgery part 1 is January 6, 2020. I will have a breast lift , tummy tuck with lipo of back/bra rolls. 4-5 weeks after the first procedure I will be having a thigh lift. What I appreciate about Dr.Ogu is his attention to safety. Other surgeons agreed to do all 3 procedures knowing that my anesthesia time would be around 9 hours which is very risky. I have scheduled off 10 weeks for my total recovery and I’m thankful that my job could accommodate my request. I’ve been saving vacation time and money. I will also utilize my STD which pays me @ 60%. In the past with child birth x2 and my hysterectomy i always stay off as long as possible. We don’t miss the 40% income we actually seem to save and manage better off a tighter budget. So I told you I would speak briefly about options to pay for surgery. 1st saving over a period of time as much as possible is the best option which I have done but I’m currently 16k short of my $$ goal. Therefore I’ve researched and #1: I have the option of care credit interest free for 24 months. Which is awesome. #2 :I could open a new trade line credit card and use that interest free for 18 months and gain points on the card for travel . #3: borrow against my 401k , penalty free , income tax free and pay myself back over 5 years. No prepayment penalty . ( Downside Is if leave employment all funds must be repaid in 30 days) however I my job and do not plan to leave. #4 utilize my principal balance in my Roth account. Again no penalties or taxes on the principal balance if I needed the portion that was dividends and interest that portion is taxable. However my principal is good enough. Sooooo my plan for now is to keep squirreling away coins and make a decision in November. I will probably do a combination to keep debt low. Payment in full due December 11. Preop December 18 Updated on 21 Nov 2019: This journey towards my goal has been a masterclass is doing things that you did not know was possible. Never thought I could lose the weight!! Never thought I could maintain the loss!! Never thought surgery was an option! Never thought surgery in the states was possible!! All of those things happened ..... didn’t know how I could pay for it and i have all the funds and now my biggest hurdle! I was informed by my employer that I will not qualify for short term disability because my insurance does not pay for this procedure. It is their position that unless it’s medically necessary it’s not a covered claim. However being medically necessary with my insurance is irrelevant because it’s not a benefit that exists within the policy. Has anyone else encountered this issue??? Can you offer any advice. Updated on 8 Jan 2020: Today everything was finalized :) lab work is awesome Hgb 13.4 , Chest X-ray ,mammogram, PCP clearance complete. Jan 6 : breast reduction/lift and diastasis rectus repair ( BR/ MR/TT) Feb 25 mini thigh lift. Once the official before pictures are sent I will share. Enjoy your holidays Updated on 8 Jan 2020: Well guys tonight is January 7 and phase 1 of my surgical journey is complete. Breast lift, liposuction, and tummy tuck and let me tell you my immediate take away is that this is a procedure best done with support. These 2 days have been rough because I have to track my medications and my pain level felt like a 10 for 23 hours. Now I'm at an 8 the breast hurt the most because no exparel. My belly isn't to bad if I'm at rest. My right hip is always irritated as well. I am using a walker and it is helping Updated on 10 Jan 2020: Day 4 recovery has been challenging but for complete clarity it gets better everyday. What I wish I did and what I action did will hopefully be good tips for anyone embarking this tummy tuck and breast lift journey . My only regret is that I did not get a recliner. Big mistake!!!!! It has been uncomfortable sleeping in a chair with ottoman or on my chaise . I’m working my way to the bed but I haven’t figured out how to get comfortable yet. Now with the victories: I absolutely know I made the best decision. Dr Stanley Ogu MD gave me what I asked for and I think even with the swelling I look amazing. Second best decision was I decided to trust his process and do lymphatic massages. They are painful but I feel so much better after and when she finishes I can stand straight up , I drain well , and the hard parts are softening. I have bought so many faja’s trying to find the right one but that will be a different post. Let me know if you are interested in any recommendations. Lastly I would recommend having help for at least 1 week if you are without small kids. 2 weeks if you have school age children and I don’t know how you do this with toddlers and babies. Best of luck on your journey and thanks for all the kind words. Updated on 11 Jan 2020: Lymphatic Massage and Compression have been very important to my healing process. To ensure that I had the best experience possible I sought an experienced person who provided an in home service. I receive massages on a regular basis in general, however lymphatic massages are a different skill and definitely for me required a light touch when I normally dislike. The person I found on recommendation from another post surgical patient is Kim Taylor and I will post her information. She has been very critical with my healing , she’s knowledgeable and easy to talk to . Updated on 14 Jan 2020: 7th day post surgery visit: everything is looking good however in my faja I need to consistently wear the lipo foam to smooth my skin and to prevent pinching by the garment Updated on 15 Jan 2020: Sleep is better , pain is better, continuing lymphatic massages, clean eating . Constant discomfort persists however my mind is shifting to accept the discomfort instead of fighting the feelings. I now ride the wave and stay relaxed. Not much to say about my body . Dr. Ogu sculpted me some lovely curves I'm enjoying watching my body evolve. After sustaining and continuing a successful weight loss and health journey for 6 years this feels so timely. I hope that I can encourage you to fulfill your body goals in healthy way. I have no regrets and I know it only gets better from here Updated on 23 Jan 2020: Left hip drain OUT , 1 more drain to go. My progress is slow and flat. I still can’t sleep more than 4 hours at night and I’m exhausted. I find that I get quality sleep from 8-10 am once the kids are of to school. I need to tweak my diet and seriously eliminate salt because my feet have become swollen. The anchor suture under my breast was removed today. Normally that doesn’t happen until 30 days but my breast are healing extremely well. Sensation is brisk in both nipples no tenderness or redness. I go back as soon as the Right hip drain is done. Hopefully I can get that accomplished by next week. I have 1 month to my mini thigh lift and want to strong when that time comes!!! Updated on 28 Jan 2020: Drain #2 came out today and being drain free is amazing!! Also today was my second day driving but my first time being solo. It felt great having some independence. The nurse practitioner told me to stop being so hard on myself, I feel that my progress in recovery has been slow. However she reassured me that everything is healing well and that I shouldn't rush for results. I wear my compression garment around the clock but now that the drains are gone I want to try a girdle and abdominal binder just for bedtime to increase comfort. I'll update on how that works in a few days. I had 16 Lymphatic Massages over 20 days and I feel that it has helped with my swelling from Lipo. My breast are amazing I love how they are settling, areola seems to be healing well, and the nips are reactive :) !! However my TT incision and Mons area is very swollen and firm. This is now my focus to massage more to loosen it up. One complication however is my swollen left leg, slight calf discomfort. Going to my PCP tomorrow to rule out DVT. I honestly feel like my calf pain is related to using my left leg Roland and push of with more than the right. Better safe then sorry so to the Dr I will go. Updated on 6 Feb 2020: Four weeks have passed since my amazing transformation. Dr.Ogu is pleased with my progress sans the DVT. He is so concerned about the DVT and basically it was unavoidable. In order to have post surgical anticoagulation like Lovenox you have to meet certain criteria. I had zero risk factors.... I don’t have hypertension, diabetes, I don’t smoke, my BMI was good. As you all may know I was scheduled to have my mini thigh lift 2/25/20 and that has been cancelled due to my existing DVT and treatment. His recommendations is to completely finish this process which is about 6 months per my PCP. Then he wants me to allow my body to rest about 3 more months . So in my head I will revisit the idea of a thigh lift at the top of 2021. I’m ok with that timeline my thighs are not awful and if I had to live with them as they currently are I could. I will be working them out with heavier weights as soon as I can and see if I can sculpt them on my own . The good news is my scar therapy has begun. Dr. Ogu says I scar well and I agree. I stay in my compression garments 24/7, I now get lymphatic massages 3x week vs. 6x week, and once this lipo pain and swelling resolves I am sure that I can exit this recovery tunnel. I see the light. But I am definitely in the recovery tunnel. Updated on 12 Feb 2020: There have been mountain top moments and Valley situations and I wouldn't change a thing thus far. I was looking over my progress and today I had a moment of such gratefulness for being able to get here in life. I have been heavy all my life and most of my life I never factored my health, or physical appearance into my self perception. I am so aware now of how I feel regarding my existence and how important it is to be aligned. When I look in the mirror I now recognize the woman looking back at me, there is no longer a disconnect. Updated on 12 Feb 2020: Sitting home on the internet is dangerous! But I found a few cute things and it happened to arrive on an afternoon of girl chat. So she whipped out her phone and let me have a mini photo shoot. I gotta say this made me feel so good . I’m looking forward to overhauling my wardrobe in due time. Full Disclosure: The outfit is nothing like I’ve ever worn before , not sure if I’ll ever have the scones to wear it outside my door. But HONEY I definitely feel secure enough to wear it at my dinner table . Updated on 3 Mar 2020: It's week 8 and I am overjoyed with my physical transformation. I feel better than I ever have regarding my reflection, thoughts, and ability to create experiences that add value to my life. No words can express my happiness with Dr. Stanley Ogu and his amazing team. His artistic gift truly delivered beyond my expectations. Over the last week I have been trying on lingerie and clothes and I am beyond pleased. In the nude I have a confidence that I could not have imagined before. I go back to work on Monday and it's on to my 2020 goals!!!! Focusing on my spiritual & Career work, my children, travel, continue to eat clean ,work out regularly, and be open to new opportunities. In regards to my DVT I will be on blood thinners for 2-5 months more and I haven't had any additional complications. I will update as I remember it has meant so much to share this journey with all of you. The encouragement sustained me when I felt down or scared. Watching others reinforced that the hardships are short lived and normal. Oh lastly my faja size was xl in week 1 . Week 8 I'm in a small!!!! I still use lipo foam and wear my compression daily. Happy Healing my loves! Updated on 10 Mar 2020: First day back to work was absolutely brutal. My 12 hour day became 15!!!!! 16.5 hrs including my commute, I wore compression and foams and was sooo swollen by the end of the day completely miserable. I know this is a marathon and I’m pacing myself as best I can, very thankful or the time I had off but it’s grind time. I work in healthcare and going back with Covid-19 surging is an additional stressor , but I’m prayerful that it will resolve soon. Stay encouraged, happy healing, joy, love and peace . New pics coming week 10 !! :)
My experience at first was great until I started to say I would like to speak with the doctor about my results. I got nothing but the run around . I went in for a bbl and a butt is suppose to be round . I look the same as if I didn’t have surgery . Waste of money
I opted to get 360 Lipo and a BBL with Dr Ugo in Sugarland,TX. My surgery date is set for 5/28. I am excited because I have literally stalked this mans Ig page of his work to be sure it’s what I wanted for 3yrs! He does amazing with previous patients and so far even tho I have not had my procedure so far he gets 5 stars for professionalism, communication, ext. his staff has been great with Assisting me as well. I’m willing to show my results and why I spent $10000 to look good and make myself a happier me. Hope this helps some of you ladies. I will share pics. I have 10 massage sessions set up and I will share the post op progress pics as well. For now here are some before pics posted Updated on 30 May 2021: 2 days post op and I said Out loud,”WHT THE HELL DID I DO THIS TO MY BODY!?” However, that is definitely the pain talking. I started getting massages the next day. As you can see I have A LOT of FLUID and reviewing the pics it even looks painful. To help rub yourself lightly at least 1hr or 30 mins before your massage. This will help you drain more. And will make it easier on you when the therapist is working her magic. It wnt let me post those pics. But after my 2nd massage which was today I do feel a difference the 1st week will be the worst. I don’t have the urge to eat but my family is def help me keep going. If it helps eat in increments. Take all your meds as prescribed and stay tuned for nexts weeks review. Updated on 8 Jun 2021: I feel Good My body is starting to heal really well. I will be posting pic updates. Arnica Tea and cream and gel have become my best friend in helping me heal. I stopped draining from my drains on day 4/5. I have a lot of muscle soreness and tightness. However as long as I get my lymphatic massages it really helps. I did have a little bit of a Serroma (fluid) on the right side of my stomach which is a pocket of fluid that’s really painful, and the Post Op Nurse had me drained in less than 30 mins. I’m not sure but these images are not loading well. I will post my Ig on my next update which will be 14 days post op on Friday May 11 Updated on 20 Jun 2021: Today I am 23 days post Op With Dr Ugo … my 2nd week I had a little fluid drained off my side. About 116 of fluid I believe, I felt the sensation which is wildly stinging as the massage therapist Performed my lymphatic drainage massage. My first round of massages was the first 10 days after surgery I paid for a second package with a more private massage therapist who does the red light cavitation. The red light therapy helps with the hard spots from bruising and swelling. About 17 days post op I had a second fluid pull. Seems like it’s all completely gone at this point. However I have retained fluid or just more swelling in my legs from not being able to sit on my butt rather kneel all over lol. I suggest you keep plenty of Arnica gel Arnica cream and the Arnica salve Because during this time you’re going to need it another thing I found very useful is if you take witch hazel and rub it all over your body your bruising goes away quicker. I don’t like the fact that I can’t sit down yeah it’s becoming very very annoying at this point but my butt is starting to look fantastic. Overall I am able to bend not completely touch my toes but bend over like an L. I have lost 6 pounds. My eating habits have changed significantly I am not as hungry as I used to be. Overall I’ve gotten a lot of great compliments so far
