Dr.Wright is a very great surgeon. He’s compassionate and very concerning about his patients. Always answering your questions and asks if you any concerns.. Office visits was nice and clean secretaries was very nice and pleasant Highly recommend D Green
The wait for this surgery has been a long one!i had my surgery for a TT and lipo yesterday morning. Arrived 6:15 am to a local surgical center. Everyone was very kind. Doctor Wright came in and explained more and answered my last minute questions. I never felt rushed with him. His bedside manor has always been wonderful. He took before pics and did some art work to my belly and flanks. I was told everything went well. I was surprised at how good i felt too! All the drugs for sure... and my excitement! I was home by 1:00 ish. Most of the day was in a recliner that i borrowed . A recliner is a must! I learned this from others on this site that went before me. I took the chance and climbed two flights of stairs to get to my bed. That was a challenge but with my partners help i was able to get into bed!! Did a lot of waking up but i was happy to be comfy in bed. During the night i started to feel very itchy.. not sure why. This morning when i was getting out of bed (with help) i felt like my insides would fall out. Pain level was higher today . My Doc checked in with me which was comforting. Important to take nice deep breaths!! Updated on 14 Jan 2019: The pictures are after a shower two days after surgery. Honestly, it has not sunk in yet that i get to have this new tummy!!! It feels like I’m looking at someone else. So far i think it’s amazing ! I’m writing this Day 3 PO and feel good! I stopped the pain meds and just take Tylenol when needed. The challenge now is only being able to lay on my back ... my ass is so sore!! I got in and out of bed myself today! slightly bent over when i walk. I had a BM yesterday and gas has started. So that system is running???? I generally have issues with constipation so i have been eating prunes and taking magnesium which help a lot . I’m having coffee today to see if the non stop headache is due to caffeine withdrawal. I think when i eat today i will open the compression bandage to help digest... because I’m going through this operation/recovery in my 50’s there are some things to keep in mind , like the sensitivities to foods, time of night you eat, foods that cause lots of gas , ease of digestion. Drains are still filling... as others have said they are a pain to deal with, and they are but i went into this with the mindset that these are to keep me safe... so I’m okay with them hanging around for awhile. Updated on 11 Feb 2019: At 4 weeks I am 90 percent myself! I feel really good and my incision is healing nicely. Though I read many posts related to taking care of the incision PO, at this point I have done nothing as far as cremes, lotions or ointments and it looks good. I did not have a lot of bruising nor a lot of swelling. The middle of my abdomen still feels 'odd', due to nerves regenerating. I am not exercising yet but will see PS in a week. I am still wearing the compression bandage but have taken it off periodically. The cost financially as well as physically has all been worth it!!
My body carried and nursed 3 children. I have 2 adult children and one in elementary. This year I treated myself to the gift of my pre-pregnancy body. Like others I started out wanting to go all in with a Mommy Makeover. The cost, healing time, risk, and commitment was overwhelming so I worked out and lost 40 lbs. This made me happy for a year or two but eventually I started to feel uncomfortable with my body. when it was time to take them off I was back to feeling unhappy with my body. As some many of you may be able to relate, my breast interfered with my sleep and I began feeling like they were not a part of my body. I believe I was disconnecting myself from my very own breast because they didn’t represent the way I felt on the inside. It was my second consultation with Dr. Wright and my motivation was no longer about how I looked. It was 100% about how I felt. Years earlier I had a consultation with Dr. Wright for the Mommy Makeover and was scheduled for surgery but had to cancel due to a death in the family and financial obligations. Three years later, I came back to relieve my discomfort by way of a breast lift. I plan to get a tummy tuck later and I’m glad that I held off on the MM. Healing from both a lift and tuck and the same time would be too much for me to bare. It is already difficult healing from the lift because I can’t use my chest muscles much so I rely a lot on my abdominal muscles. I didn’t realize how much I used my chest muscles throughout a day until this surgery. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not knocking the MM. Plenty of women have them and make it through recovery without a problem and their bodies look amazing. I am 9 days post op and feel great! I’ve ceased the need of pain meds and rely on ice compressions every now and then. As you can see in the pics, my stitches are neatly intact and all the surgical tape is still in place. As of today I have 100% feeling in my nipples. I’ve seen some of the work on breast lifts on this site and others. I must say my 9 day post op results exceeded my expectations. Dr. Wright did an exceptional job. My post op appointment is next week. I’ll post update of my status then. Toodles!!! Updated on 11 Nov 2018: The left is healing faster then he right. Still have a ways to go with swelling on the right to go down but the scarring is minimal. Using Neosporin to minimize scarring and eliminate dry skin. Feeling great!
I'm and ready to live again. My husband passed over 3 years ago. The kids are all grown and I've decided it's now time to get started on my bucket list. I've wanted to have a TT for some time. But other things always were more important. I've gotten to the point where I hate to look in the mirror. Updated on 24 Jan 2014: I had my TT/ lipo yesterday. All went well. When I arrived I had all kind of thoughts: was it a bad decision, was the pain going to much, what if I didn't come out of it ? Well we can all see I made it. The hardest part was watching tears swell in my daughter's eyes. I knew I had to be strong for her. Surgery was scheduled for 12 p.m. I don't remember anything after 12:15. My Dr and the staff were great. The surgery took close to 3 hours and I was home by 5. The pain is bearable so far. My daughter woke me throughout the night giving me meds every 4 hours. I also am taking antibiotics. The suggestions I've received from the site have been very helpful. The recliner has been a blessing. Learning from others on the site let me know what to expect; even though everyone is different. Just the support you receive from others is AWESOME. I'm getting tired so off to see the Sandman. Updated on 29 Jan 2014: Today I was finally discharged from the hospital. Apparently I had a reaction to thr pain medicine. The Dr says I can take Tylenol for pain if needed. Just getting dressed and the car ride home has me very tired. I'll be staying on the first floor for awhile. Still haven't looked at my stomach. All in the hospital said it looks great. Friday my PS said one of my drains out. YIPEE !!!! Updated on 31 Jan 2014: Today is a great day. I had my visit with PS. My left drain was removed today. I felt a little discomfort but manageable. Dr says everything looks great. I took my first sneak peak at my new tummy. I'm swollen but OMG I look amazing. Updated on 6 Feb 2014: I FEEL GREAT. I still have one drain in. I visit my PS tomorrow to hopefully have it removed. In the last 5 days I've only had to take one Tylenol. I'm tired of sleeping on my back but if that's the biggest problem I have I'm blessed. I looked at my tummy today and it looks great. I'm still wearing sweat pants everyday. I'm still in the cg twenty four/seven. I'll ask the PS how long must I wear it. This is the first thing I've done for myself in ages. I wouldn't hesitate doing it again. Even during my darkest days I knew it would get better. Because of the support I received here I felt like I was part of a team and everyone was cheering me on. Thank you Ladies. Updated on 9 Feb 2014: I had my last drain removed. I feel great. PO said that I can go for short walks. I'm glad because I am starting to get cabin fever. I'm returning the rental lift chair tomorrow. I've begun to sleep in my bed. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. I'm still spending most of my time resting. Each day is better and better. I'm scheduled to see my PO in a month. The only discomfort I feel is the swelling and itching stomach. Hopefully I will continue to heal. Updated on 12 Feb 2014: I can't believe it has been 3 weeks. Today I drove for the first time today. It was nice finally getting out of the house. We're expecting a big snowstorm in my area. It went okay but I was a little tired when I returned home. The highlight of my day was when my son stopped by to bring in the groceries. You don't understand. My son doesn't notice anything. He looked at me and said 'mom I can see it". I didn't know what he was talking about. He said 'you're stomach, its gone". HIGH FIVE FOR TEAM MOM Updated on 19 Feb 2014: Time has gone by so fast. I'm still sweeling on the lower part of my stomach. Sometimes I feel as though I'm going to burst. I plan on returning to the gym next week, treadmill only. My belly button looks great. Updated on 7 Mar 2014: Today I had my 2 month post surgery visit with my PS. Great news I don't have to return for 6 months. I've lost 17 lbs. I'm still swollen but it will go down with time. I did ask him about the lumps I was feeling beneath my scar. He said it was scar tissue from where the drains were. Use some type of oil and to message it. With time it will disappear. I'll begin slowly walking again. I will go to the next item on my bucket list (learn how to swim). I no longer hate the image in the mirror. This experience was full of highs and lows. The highs made it worthwhile. I have never regretted this decision. The support from the group is tremendous. Days I didn't think I would make it I would read your post and everything seemed so much better. God bless you all.
THE BEST PLASTIC SURGEON & $ PRICING for your surgery! 2013 # 1 CHOICE. - Dr. Sean Wright Media, Pa. 19063 * Skillful * Talented * Caring * Fair & Reasonable Pricing * Professional I'm a woman 52 years old living in Philadelphia. July 2013 I had a BREAST LIFT & IMPLANT REMOVAL procedure done. I researched & reviewed online (20) accredited plastic surgeons specializing in BREASTS & practicing within the greater Phila area. Goal: To find the BEST surgeon for the BEST price Area: Philadelphia, BenSalem, Bala Cynwyd, Media, Newtown Square, Doylestown After review, I narrowed the list of (20) down to (11). I eliminated surgeons who did not have a website and or a before & after photo gallery of their works. Next step was to scour the web for any published pricing I could find, which was minuscule & difficult to find. Following, after verifying surgeons certifications, review of related websites & written reviews, I selected (7) surgeons for consultation. FROM (20) down to (7) to NO. 1 - Dr. Sean Wright. Media, Pa For me all surgeons are GOOD if they are board certified & properly licensed to practice. I had a concern about pricing! After consulting with (5) different surgeons I found EVERY surgeon excellent, brilliant, professional. None appearing to be more skilled than the other. However, there were MAJOR differences in pricing quotes for the identical procedure. As high as almost $4000 differences. The plastic surgery fees are (3) part, to include, Surgeon fee, Operating room fee, Anesthesia fee. Depending on the surgeon these fees can be drastically different. QUOTES: For MASTOPEXY with IMPLANT REMOVAL Dr. Sean Wright Media, Pa. $5812 Dr. Craig Mezrow. Bala Cynwyd, Pa $7000 Dr. Adrian Lo. Philadelphia, Pa. $7200 Dr. Emily Pollard. Bala Cynwyd, Pa. $8580 Dr. Paul Glat. Bala Cynwyd, Pa. $9500 I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Sean Wright! I am 1000% satisfied with my Mastopexy/ Breast Lift & Implant removal. The operation was, smooth, professional & affordable! Masterfully done! I look great! I feel great! Thank you Dr Wright. Updated on 11 Dec 2013: DETAILS of BREAST LIFT & IMPLANT REMOVAL Procedure: (w/ Dr. Sean Wright) In my experience I found the desire to have breast implants removed is not typical. There was nothing WRONG with the implants, however the whole look & feel just did not suite me anymore at 52 yrs of age. Every surgeon I consulted with explaining my unhappiness with implants looked at me like I had 5 heads with the EXCEPTION of Dr. Sean Wright. My desires for implant removal & a lift were addressed & NOT judged by Dr. Wright. This I appreciated. One physician I consulted with actually asked me if my husband knew about it. I am one of those woman who knows what she wants so I was really surprised at the comments made by many of these surgeons. Dr. Wright was the 5th consultation. They fit me in right away for the consultation. I was received beautifully & professionally by the receptionist and did not have to wait for the consultation. Dr. Wright's mannerisms were calm, very very kind & thorough. He provided & described all of my options, like the "lolly pop lift, which I liked. The Lolly pop lift procedure does not entail a vertical cut & scaring (which was a concern). After my consultation, I immediately scheduled the procedure within 2 weeks with Dr. Wright & cancelled all other consultations previously scheduled . I was that thrilled with this surgeon. The first step was to drain the saline out of the implants before removal. This proved to be absolutely painless & a piece of cake. Dr. Wright requested a minimum of two weeks down time prior to surgery for the stretched skin to settle. This would allow the Doc to accurately gage the lift for best results. Dr. Wright performs his surgeries at the Surgery Center at Brinton Lake in Glen Mills, Pa, not far from his office in Media, Pa. This is an amazing "clinic" without the outrageous costs of a "hospital". This keeps the overall cost of the desired procedure down without compromising. Also Dr. Wright's surgeon fees are reasonable as well. He was worth every dollar! When it was time for the surgery, I was received again very promptly & with extreme care & courtesy. The operation was performed by Dr. Wright without a hitch & it was over before I knew it! There was hardly any discomfort or pain which lasted only for about 3 days. The follow up by Dr. Wright & his office was exceptional. This doctor really cares! His concern for you shines through. You are an individual & not a slab of meat. The operation proved to be successful without ANY scaring. I am THRILLED with the entire experience. I went from a heavy & cumbersome large "C"' borderline "D" down to my natural "A" cup with a LIFT. Now I am soft, supple & natural again. Beautiful work! A TRUE ARTIST!! THANK YOU DR WRIGHT! You changed my life!
Absolutely mismanaged practice. They failed to follow up with me as he said he would. He answered my questions by telling me to read his website. His exam lasted about 12 seconds. There is no way he could have an understanding of what I wanted.
In a word my consultation with Dr. Wright was exceptional! I'm at the interviewing stage of the Mommy Makeover process and have been on four different consultations to date. Above all Dr. Wright stood out because of his knowledge, expertise and collaborative consultative approach. Instead of saying something was unrealistic or devaluing my Mommy Makeover goals, he provided insight and explanations to help me adjust my expectations. I found him to be non-judgmental, professional, genuine, and knowledgeable. I was so impressed with his consultation that I was ready to cancel my other consultations for the week and schedule the surgery with him immediately. However, I recognized that interviewing doctors is all a part of the process so I continued and met with the remaining doctors which further confirmed that Dr. Wright would be the right choice. I contacted the office to schedule my appointment. More to follow. Updated on 9 Oct 2015: Tomorrow is my birthday and I was hoping to have my surgery scheduled. I didn't want surgery on my birthday just to have a known date by my birthday as a gift to myself. I have all the other peices lined up to be executed; payment, time off of work, extra help around the house, and recovery resources. All this in place and no date scheduled. I'm not complaining as it took me two years just to get to this point. I'm hoping to have a date secured by Monday. Has anyone else experienced a waiting period for scheduling surgery? Updated on 9 Oct 2015: No matter how many leg crunches, planks or leg lifts I do my stomach continues to sag and lack form. I've conditioned myself to suck it in.
The cost of a tummy tuck and breast lift depends on what needs to be done to get you looking your best. If you are a petite person with just some extra skin, then the cost could be close to $5000 or $6000. If you are someone who has lost a lot of weight and you are broad framed, then it can get up to the $10,000 range.
A 'mommy makeover' can consists of any combination of procedures from smart lipo to a tummy tuck, to breast lift to breast augmentation to facial procedures. We customize the mommy makeover to the unique individual who comes in for a consultation. Some mommies carry their children high in the womb so that creates special needs whereas other carry them low. Some want bigger breasts and some just want a lift. Smart Lipo starts at around $2000 per area and a tummy tuck would be around $7000. When you combine procedures you save money.
After cosmetic procedures the body takes time to heal. With laser liposuction the skin will tighten over 3 or so months as the dermis thickens. It's also not unusual to have some lumps for a few months.
It is really important to follow your doctor's instructions as he or she knows what they encountered in the operating room, but in general the longer you compress, the better the outcome.
While healing from a tummy tuck you can certainly do some work. At one week you might still be taking pain medicine at night, but during the day you should be able to work on a computer and make phone calls. You will get tired earlier as your body will still be healing from the surgery.
