My weight has always fluctuated. In October I reached my highest weight ever 220lbs. I decided I had to loose weight. I started a diet the week before Thanksgiving. I have lost a total of 40 lbs. I noticed even though I'd lost weigh my left inner thigh had a bulge of fat that was not going away. I started doing research and came across vaser. It sounded wonderful, quick, not to painful and little down time. I went to a consult at coastal dermatology. I was told I may have some loose skin, but I was a good candidate. So I booked my inner thighs and lower abs. Updated on 18 May 2015: I had my inner thighs done on Thursday 5/14. I was surprised of how painless the procedure was. I had my lower abs done the following day. I had draining for two days. I was numb until Saturday evening. When the numbness wore off I was sore. Just like I was told, an extreme workout sore. I went to work today. I'm a massage therapist so I'm active at work. I took Tylenol and was fine. I decided to go with Dr. Goyal after my initial consultation. I felt that he could give me the results that I am hoping to achieve under local anesthesia. I had a tummy tuck in 2013 by a plastic surgeon and I am 80% satisfied with the results after going under general anesthesia. I am looking for great results and hoping to finally achieve the look I been hoping for a long time. I am 5'3" and 157 pounds. I work out usually twice a week. I pray that this will be my last time doing body contouring procedures and am praying that I can eliminate these ugly stubborn bulges that exercising hasn't helped once and for all. Updated on 9 May 2015: So I had my laser lipo yesterday. I got there at 1pm. My appointment was at 130 pm. I believe they started around 230 pm after they finished another small appt. The office was closed to incoming traffic for the day so I had their undivided attention once he got started which was great. I was given a Valium and two Tylenol 3 with codeine. It made me very comfortable. I was awake but drowsy through the whole procedure. Dr. Goyal and his staff made me feel very comfortable. He is about safety first. The room was sterile. I know because I am an registered traveling nurse and work in various hospitals. I was very pleased with his decisions and care. The procedure lasted 2 hours maybe. Afterwards, they cleaned me up, applied my bandage, gift bag with pads, bandages and etc and also helped me put on that super small garment. Not to mention, the sleeve shirt. garment as well ( lol). They toom 500 cc of fat off. Okay so I was drowsy all night until around 12 midnight from the meds. I have no drainage and haven't changed any pads. My garment is tight as heck but clean. It definitely will take some getting use to since he told me 6 weeks for best rezults. I am swollen and a little sore. He recommended extra tylenol. I am hoping for amazing results. I am going try to pull up my garment to give you guys a small view. If you are looking to do it local anesthesia to me is safe. Updated on 9 May 2015: Vaser lipo tomorrow may 8th. My before pics. Praying for a least a 95 % difference Updated on 10 May 2015: I can see a difference today. I took my garment off for about 15 minutes to wash up and change my bandaids. I have 4 small incisions. There was a very small dot of drainage on my bandaids. I applied antibiotic ointment then the bandaids. As far as pain, there is none. I am a little sore. I am on vacation so we did a lot of walking and sight seeing today but I must say I felt wonderful and I to only took tylenol this morning once. I also went to Walmart and bought a seamless came and a waist nipper in a small size because the full body garment that snaps between the legs was bruising my inner thighs. I made sure the ones I bought from walmart fits snug just like the one they gave. I will be wearing my garment 24/7 as instructed. So far I am happy with the small results I see. I am still very swollen. I will post pics again in about three days in order to give u guys a better view.
I am day 2 post op from vaser lipo of my upper and Lower abs. I am 30 years old 5'6 and 130. Alway have been super thin except a pooch. I've also had one kid. The doc was amazed he got off 850cc fat! My first day I looked like I had a water bed in my belly. The garmet is just about full body and super uncomfortable. The zipper is in the front which hurts so I wear it backwards bc it left marks on me....and will look into getting one without the legs bc it's 80 degrees in florida. I drained a lot on night one but never leaked out of my bandage. I change mine in the am and at night. My first night my vaginally area was so swollen it looked ridiculous couldn't help but laugh. By the next day it was so much better and only swollen where my two incisions are in my pelvic area. First night I couldn't sleep. Soooo uncomfortable :/ it's hard to get up and sit down bc it hurts. I still was able to be at my kids baseball game 2 hours after the procedure. So this pain is doable. By day 3 hardly any leakage so I put two band aids there and will change midday. My stomach still has swelling but it looks pretty good. Hard to tell results bc I was small when I started so my results will be more noticable I think at the end of the week. I have small bruise around one incision and that's it. So far so good. I just want to scream in my garmet....I hate wearing this itchy thing...but I will adhere to the doctors order! Ill write back in2 days! Ps I'm taking Tylenol Q6hours for pain....if helps!!! This pic is on day 2 morning after procedure. I had my procedure the following day at 2pm. Took till 4pm to be done. Updated on 15 Apr 2013: Day 4 was a lot of pain....so uncomfortable. But I was able to have just a bandaid over each 2 incisions. Day 5 I feel much better. Easier to move around today. Swelling down but worse before bed especially if I'm active.
Went to Dr. Goyal's office for a vaser liposuction of upper and lower abdomen. First consult was with Bina who was not very informative. I then asked for a second consult with the Doctor himself as I refused to agree to operation without seeing him first. A few weeks later I went in to meet Dr. Goyal who was very nice & described procedure in detail. He mentioned since he would be removing a lot of fat , skin will sag possibly worse then before. I agreed as he mentioned office would order a customized garment that would tighten skin as long as I wore it faithfully for 12 weeks. The same day of consult I asked the front desk to charge my card in full for the entire procedure and garment. $1500.00 later I assumed I was ready to go for my appt the following month. The following month I came to the office only to find out they hadn't charged me in full and I still owed $1200 , despite staff already stating I was paid in full during my previous visit. Desperate to get my procedure done I paid it. Going into the procedure Dr. Goyal made sure I was completely comfortable and talked me through everything. Any second of discomfort he was quick to ease the pain. However, once procedure was done I noticed very little fat removed in the container where suction drained. I felt like the procedure was rushed as they had an "office meeting". After procedure , assistant Ana stated my customized garment was not in . In order to get proper results I needed this garment, hence the reason I paid $260.00 for it to be ordered. Instead, they gave me a garment that was so tight it bruised my under thighs and a binder to use until my garment came in. Two weeks later garment came in , BUT it was not the customized! I told Bina and Ana to just forget it, that I would get my own garment and asked for a refund. They agreed they would refund amount to my card and a week later never did. After a few back and forth calls I was rudely informed that it was my fault that garment did not come in on time and that I was not owed refund . They claimed the binder & poor fitting garment would be an out of pocket expense for me, one which they GAVE me knowing they had not ordered my garment on time. Long story short after back and forth arguing with the office manager Bina she finally refunded ONLY 50 % of the customized garment price. Unfortunately, I feel like my results are extremely poor and not as successful as they could be had the staff done their job and had gotten me my garment the first time. Dr. Goyal is great & I am sure he has done great work prior, unfortunately due to the circumstances with his staff I cannot say I was a happy patient.
I did so much research and was very excited about having this procedure done but I am so disappointed. My stomach is actually worse (lumpy) than it was before...wish I would have never had it done. When I look at my before and after, there is no change. Only thing I'm left with are the six scars they made! Not happy!!!
