My abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) was performed by Dr. Sam Bern. He is a wonderful doctor, very kind and compassionate. He is also a skilled plastic surgeon, with an artist's soul. His care after the surgery was perfect and I couldn't have asked for better care. I will definitely go to Dr. Bern again for other procedures.

I have my date to explant but have asked about a lift. I thought I wanted two surgeries. One remove implants then wait and decide on a lift. If I do it that way its $9500 if I explant and lift in one day its $6500. I'm so confused. I wonder if I will care about saggy boobs at my age..... I think I will but then I think ohhhhh the scars. Help any thoughts will be appreciated

I have an appointment with the doctor for October 30th. So ready to get this done but worried that after implants were put in I seem to have gained so much weight especially around the middle. I exercise and eat well I just can't seem to shake it

I like the doctor but ohhhh the office staff make me want to cancel. Trying to remember they are not the surgeon. So we talked lift and he answered all my questions. Dr Bern is very direct which is fine as I am also.
He explained I would have scars and they would be long as it's best to take the fat that hangs over the bra. He didn't seem to love me the idea that I didn't live in Ventura and would want to go home soon. I asked about an internal lift and he screwed up his face and said no. He seems a little old fashioned but I want someone older who has done lots. He says I should be a c cup so after$20000 and two surgeries I'm back to where I started but lots of scars. Only thing he said that put me off was that if I got loose skin he could go back and fix with same scars hmmm. No I want it done once thank you.

December 10th is the day. I'm scheduled for explant, open capsulectomy and mastoplexy. Friends have lots of different views on what I"m doing but I think I just want the foreign things out.

scheduled for explant and lift Dec10. Two friends have said they can't imagine why I'm doing it because I am the perfect size for my body and I'm not too big. I'm triple d or double d and I have foreign objects am I doing the right thing????!

Today I went over everything with the doc. He answered all my questions and I always have a million. I guess the biggest part is the lift. I thought about waiting for the lift after explant but I thought one anesthesia is better than two. They took my pictures, gave me 5 prescriptions I paid all but the facility and I got a slip to go for an ekg. I'm scheduled for December 10th. I'm nervous but don't feel it's sunk in yet.

18 hours pre surgery with everything ready he called and said they didn't have an okay from my EKG they called two days prior in a panic as they didnt have my Mammo. I would say he is very nasty when his office is so disorganised he never apologized for their mistakes and told me I would not be happy with him My best advice would be to say run don't walk. His staff are rude and they are totally disorganised.

Everyday I thank god dr been did not do my surgery. I had surgery with Dr Howard Gross last week and he is fabulous. He did everything but where Bern was going to open me from around my sides to lipo Dr Gross made 4 tiny holes. We can't figure out why BERN PRESCRIBED 8 tubes of silvedine cream for burns. I just thank God Dr Bern got cold feet and cancelled the day before surgery. It was the hand of God . I would run from Dr Bern
