Everyday I thank god dr been did not do my surgery. I had surgery with Dr Howard Gross last week and he is fabulous. He did everything but where Bern was going to open me from around my sides to lipo Dr Gross made 4 tiny holes. We can't figure out why BERN PRESCRIBED 8 tubes of silvedine cream for burns. I just thank God Dr Bern got cold feet and cancelled the day before surgery. It was the hand of God . I would run from Dr Bern

Do not use this doctor

18 hours pre surgery with everything ready he called and said they didn't have an okay from my EKG they called two days prior in a panic as they didnt have my Mammo. I would say he is very nasty when his office is so disorganised he never apologized for their mistakes and told me I would not be happy with him My best advice would be to say run don't walk. His staff are rude and they are totally disorganised.

Today I went over everything with the doc. He answered all my questions and I always have a million. I guess the biggest part is the lift. I thought about waiting for the lift after explant but I thought one anesthesia is better than two. They took my pictures, gave me 5 prescriptions I paid all but the facility and I got a slip to go for an ekg. I'm scheduled for December 10th. I'm nervous but don't feel it's sunk in yet.

I had my silicone implants 25 years and ex planted on 11/4/2015. I am 53 years old.

I had lost a lot of weight in my 20's and decided to have a tummy tuck since I had an 'apron' of skin that was only fixable by surgery. I have never regretted the tummy tuck.

My breasts were saggy but the plastic surgeon said that implants would fix the sag without a lift. They were about 300 cc under muscle.

I argued that I didn't think that I wanted implants and definitely not silicone but I was talked into it. She would not even consider saline at the time.

The implants did not fix the sag though they did look better initially by a little bit ... But not much. I regretted having the implants almost immediately. They felt like what they were - foreign objects in my body.

Fast forward 25 years and I was now overweight again and my breasts looked so much worse with severe sagging.

I wanted the implants out. I was tired of looking even bigger with them in ... Button front shirts gapping .... And an overall matronly look.

I was scared of the surgery and debated whether to do the quicker easier surgery with only an ex plant or to do the lift at the same time and a capsulectomy with the explant.

I decided to do bigger surgery. I'm used to popping back pretty quickly with any surgery. I have to say this was a bigger Surgery than I originally anticipated.

Though I am still glad I did both. My breasts and nipples are at a height and fullness that I've never seen before. I am fascinated over how much lift I have :)

The doctor also did a very long incision around my side to get the bra fat on the sides.

I know he said that he was going to do it but I guess I did not anticipate the incision around half my body.

But my sides look so much better!!! I feel like I got a bonus surgery! I'm glad that I did not know in advance because I would have been even more worried but all is good :)

I was off work for 1 1/2 weeks and was not very comfortable when I went back ... A big part of that was still having drains ... I had drains for 2 weeks ... My surgeon would not take out until daily out was in the 20's for two consecutive days.

Every day is better. But I think that it will be 8 weeks post surgery until I start doing Pilates again. I would have said pre surgery that I would be back on 6 weeks !"but I don't think so now.

I think looking at the lift pictures on this website helped sealed the deal for me ... I could look past the scars easily when looking at the fullness and perkiness of breasts after a lift.

I wish though that there were some photos of the bra fat side incisions and the outcome post surgery.
