Chin and neck snatched- i had a double chin and didnt like my appearance profile look from the side. Dr. Heron took time to explain in detail the produce, and answer all questions or concerns. The staff was friendly and made you feel comfortable. I had my surgery today not in much pain. Im just nauseas and hard to eat with no appetite. Updated on 29 Feb 2020: Im wearing the garment. Im doing heat treatment under the chin with a warm rag. My skin is discolored a little- its been a week so im still bruise. Im swollen and take the pain pills to help with pain. Updated on 29 Feb 2020: Hello i have added more pictures of the smart lipo. I am bruised under the chin and have some discoloration. Im also have dry skin in the area so i m using vitamins e cream. Overall it looks better for sure. I have a line on neck- i thought it was the marker but it looks like it is permanent line guessing from the laser- Updated on 25 Apr 2020: I have been working out since covid 19 and sliming down helps your neck and chin look thinner when you lose weight. I am seeing better results when you slim down as well. I am wearing my garment still and its been two months since the procedure.
I had smart lipo 3 days ago and I honestly don't know what to expect. I can see a difference in my stomach and my arms but I was expecting to see more. My doctor (who is awesome) told me that I won't see major results for 5-6 months and to be patient and follow the instructions.. I'm kind of sore, but the meds help with that. I'll keep you guys posted on my progress- I go in for my follow up this coming Tuesday and I'm hoping he will tell me I can start wearing my garment.. Updated on 7 Sep 2017: I went in for my one week post op yesterday and I was happy that I was told that I could start wearing my garment. I am going to wear it morning, noon and night for the best results because right now I'm feeling like I may have wasted $7200, but my doctor said to give it some time... I hear that most people don't really see results for at least 60 days after! We'll see .. Updated on 2 Jun 2019: I had smart lipo there almost 2 years ago. To be honest i was expecting to see better results but it is what it is. I don’t necessarily have an issue with the Dr. or the staff, I just wish he would have told me to not expect a much flatter stomach. In my opinion if you have a big stomach, Especially from having kids and c-sections it’s best to just have a tummy tuck. I can see a slight difference but i paid $7800 to have lasor lipo and if i had to do it again i would not!! I would have just had a tummy tuck which I’m thinking about having done real soon.
I had Lipo there; I should never have done it at this clinic. I’ve spent thousands trying to fix my uneven, dimpled, dented legs and knees. I read a few RealSelf reviews afterwards, and realized I should have steered clear of the doctor and clinic. If only I’d known before; I could have saved myself the heartache and multiple attempts to fix the issues that resulted.
My results look terrible from the very beginning but I was told it was swelling so I believed dr.heron. After about 7 months I still looked the same as far as the pockets of fat still left on my stomach (upper and lower), once I finally was able to be seen I requested to have my stomach done over and he demanded that I pay him again or he was not going to do it. Even though I had fat pockets left on my stomach, my sides were completely uneven, and my arms also were noticeabley uneven. Once that appointment was over I voiced my opinion on yelp and the doctor went on to lie and say that I became uneven because I lost weight and did not follow instructions in attempt to clear his name but the one thing he forgot is I was that I have multiple pictures from day one after my surgery up until 6 months. It was truly a horrible experience so I am hopeful that one day I will find a doctor that can fix Dr. Heron’s mistakes.
Hello World! I am 25 years old. I have had three pregnancies, one of which I carried twins and all were delivered by c-section. I had smart-lipo done on Dec. 18, 2015, and did not achieve the results I wanted. I have noticed a significant difference but just not the vision/agreement that was discussed at my pre-op appointment. The procedure was only able to remove 2 1/2 inches of the 5 inches of fat around my abdominal area. The advertisement that I saw that initially brought me into the office has to be exaggerated or multiple sessions. The young lady who referred me was a lot bigger than me and now her mid-section has completely vanished; according to her claims after one session. I did not get a chance to be seen for a 30 day post-op due to poor weather nor have any of the staff attempted to contact me in reference to rescheduling. I am also a little angry because I voiced my concern about my keloid-prone skin and have noticed one of my scars have begin to form as a keloid scar. So in the end I will end up spending more money than I intended to. My advice would be to do extensive research prior to getting any procedure done. Make sure there is a clear understanding of what can and cant be done and the agreed upon result. I wouldn't have wasted $3500 for only two inches of fat. Updated on 13 Feb 2016: The previous pictures do appear to make me look thin but please keep in mind I am fully clothed with a compression garment on as well. These are my up to date pictures without the garment. Updated on 18 Feb 2016: So I now am experiencing constant hardness in three areas that have not resolved with compression or massaging. I have still not been seen by my doctor for my follow up post op appointment but I will be calling today to demand to be seen. I have been doing some research and it appears it can be a tissue build up which is common after smart lipo or seromas which is also common after any liposuction or TT procedure. I will let you guys know the outcome soon. Updated on 15 Mar 2016: Since the last time I checked in I have been searching around and researching other doctors. Knowing what I know now I should have went to a Certified Plastic Surgeon and got multiple opinions before committing to a procedure/doctor. I went to Chevy Chase Plastic Surgery Center and had a consultation with Dr. Samir Rao and his recommendation was that I get a TT with lipo in some areas. He suggested a TT because of the stretch marks on my abdomen as well as the possibility of sagging skin. I'm not so worried about sagging skin since I am young and I have great skin elasticity nor do the stretch marks bother me (I'm a proud momma). My overall goal is to look better in my clothing. After 3 pregnancies, one of which was multiples, I just do not like to be constantly asked when are you due or what are you having??? Ughhhh. That [RS bleep] is so inconsiderate and people don't know what a person has been through before just shouting comments like that. But back to my consultation. Dr. Rao did say that there is a great chance that traditional lipo could yield my desired results. However, he was not willing to operate on me until June. So in the mean time I started browsing. I now will be seeing Dr. Ortega in Miami, Fl which is easily $3,000 cheaper than having the procedure done in my home city of Washington, DC. There are so many misleading advertisements and I'm sad to say I fell victim and gave someone $3500 for nothing. I have nothing against Dr. Heron, however, I feel that the young lady that represents his company misrepresented what he could do and he wasn't honest with me about what he could do for me. Not to mention he left my stomach with hideous black scars that have began to form keloids after I told him prior to surgery that my skin is prone to keloid and may needed to be treated to prevent this. I am now being threatened to be sued for harassment and defaming a doctor and business but to me it looks like they are harassing me, they created an RS account just to respond to my review, then opened up the line of communication by emailing me but you be the judge.... Hey guys, so after posting my last review I apparently ruffled a few feathers. I started receiving comments from one the staff members from the office I had my smart-lipo procedure as well as emails a week later. I am now being threatened to be sued because apparently I am defaming the doctor and his company which i do not see that anywhere on my review. Please let me know if you see something directly derogatory or defaming about the doctor and his business!!!! I have read and re-read my review and I think even in the comments I am constantly saying he is a nice doctor HOWEVER he did not deliver the results I was looking for. I talked about him not being a PS which is public information. I also talked about the false advertisement which is what she seems to be most upset about. The young lady who advertises for him posted another advertisement about butt lifts and fat transfers, and I questioned the staff about it because as I said before he isn't a PS and if he is doing these procedures it's illegal and I would contact the proper authorities. But anyway, this is my real life experience: I am saddened by the financial lose I have taken as a result of this, I am upset and even more self-conscious about my abdomen because of the keloids, the indents in each hole he poked in my stomach (which was 7 by the way) and black marks I have now developed but lesson learned. I have to put my big girl draws on and move on, God will handle everything I need him too. He has never forsaken and I trust that he won't now. I am just thankful to be alive because I have read some horror reviews about botched surgeries and articles about fatalities. Okay so I am 13 days away from my procedure. Yes I am nervous but more excited then anything. I can't wait!!!!!! Not in a million years did I think I would ever be able to ge this done. I've been chubby mostly all my life. Once in college I lost about 60lbs and I was looking and feeling good and then BAM I got pregnant. So of course you know what happen after....yup I BLEW UP. But moving for after one year of having my child I am glad to say that I will be having affectio for after one year of having my child I am glad to say that I will be having Liposuction. I will be getting my surgery done from Dr. heron in Alexandria, Virginia on May 18 . I'm getting upper and lower of Abdomen and upper shelf but upper shelf buttocks done. I will be posting pictures later on today when I get off work of my body now before procedure. Unfortunately I wanted to get a butt lift, but at this time he is not offering that but in a month he should be back to doing it, so hopefully he will still be doing that. but if not I'm definitely going to look for someone in the DMV area to perform that. Updated on 6 May 2016: I'm so embarrassed about my stomach hopefully this procedure helps!! Updated on 16 May 2016: So like I said before, I know my stomach isn't going to be completely flat but I still want to see a major difference. More than likely I will have to go for a second round. But I have seen some ladies with big bellies who have had a major difference in the abdomen area. So for me is this unrealistic. The smart Lipo was cool I was hurting a few times, and DR. Heron gave me some more nummess medicine and I was good to go. Dr. Heron was very nice and sweet and so was his assistant they were very patient. They took out a lot of fat so I'm hoping I will like the results. he kept saying he didn't think I would get this much fat out and said I will love it. Lol so we'll see. Updated on 17 Jul 2016: Hey you guys it's been two months since my surgery, and I'm so fat I'm okay with my results. I knew that I wasn't going to have a flat stomach and I kind of messed up. Instead if getting a top shelf for the buttocks (lipo your lower back to make your butt look bigger) I should of got my love handles Lipo instead. That would have made a major difference in the appearance of my stomach. But overall I'm satisfied, I'm going on a diet to improve my results but I think I will be going back for round 2.
Hello everyone! I have been researching information about smart lipo night and day.I will love to get my upper, lower, flanks, and bra areas done. However, due to work schedule, finances, and family obligations I am unable to do so. But anyways, I am scheduled for smart lipo prodecure on my upper abs at the end of may 2014!!!!!! I am very excited. I am having my procedure done by Dr. Heron in Alexandria, VA. I was very comfortable with the doctor and his staff. I will post pictures soon.
