Dr Carpenter and his staff are beyond amazing. His staff is professional, personable, and kind. Dr. Carpenter is not only honest, professional and talented, but genuinely cares about his patients. I have been seeing him for years for Botox, and recently placed my trust in him for a lower face and neck lift with local anesthesia. To say I’m pleased is an understatement. He thoroughly prepared me for what to expect during and after the procedure, as well as realistic expectations regarding my results. At is point, I’m one week post-op and thrilled with the result, I feel as if I look 10 years younger. I highly recommend Dr. Carpenter and his staff.
I had a botched breast augmentation in 2015. I had Sientra textured round implants placed under the muscle. My right was 440cc HP. Left was 565 HP. 6 months after the surgery my implants didn't feel comfortable. When I would lay on my left side I could feel a burning sensation and pulling. I decided to have my implants taken out and replaced. I went to 6 consultations in 3 states. When I had my consultation with Dr Carpenter I knew he would be the one to do the surgery. On 11-8-18 he exchanged my implants and did a bilateral lift. I now have Allergan Natrelle Inspira cohesive gel implants. 445cc on left and right sides. Both placed over the muscle. I could not be any happier with my results!! I knew not to expect perfection but his skills made it very close. I have no more pain, no implant movement distortion, or double bubble. I'm 3 months post op in the before and after photo. For anyone living botched, there is hope out there! Be very selective on your surgeon.
Dr. Carpenter was amazing. His staff is friendly and welcoming. From my consult to my surgery, they were helpful with questions, making me feel comfortable and confident, and helping me achieve what I wanted! Highest of recommendations to anyone looking for a talented, down-to-earth surgeon! Thank you, doc! I couldn't be happier!
Dr. Carpenter is a talented surgeon with excellent bedside manner. His staff is friendly and I had an amazing result from my reduction surgery. I went from a 36G to a 36D. I was really nervous before surgery and his staff calmed my fears and treated me with kindness and respect. I highly recommend him.
Hello everyone, Let me start by saying that I'm thrilled to have found this website. I've read a few reviews and the support here is amazing! I have been debating on a BA foe over 10 yrs now ans finally decided to take thr very first step last yr when I went for my first consult. I was only a 34 AA and wanted to feel more feminine in my own body. (Make sense?) I didn't want that " Wow, she got her boobs done " look so after talking with my Dr, he recommended Allergen 234 mod smooth and round. It took me almost a yr to call back to get my pre op consult. During that time I was doing research and looking over thousands of different pictures trying to compare body types to breast implat sizes. All the while thinking that 234 was going to be more than what I wanted. I decided that I was comfortable going anywhere from 210cc to 225cc. With that huge decision made, I called the Dr office only to find out that he moved to California but I could see his partner Dr Carpenter..... I had to ask myself ....ok is this a bad sign? I made the appt and met with the new Dr. Had to go through the entire process again since it was his first time meeting me. I had my mind made up that I wasn't going to go 234cc and had to chuckle when my new Dr recommend that I go 265cc, bigger than what I told originally. Needless to say with much hesitation, I choose to go with the 234 and my surgical date was set to May 1st. Another month of looking at pictures, others experiences and completely freaking myself out, my day finally arrives. So many yrs of questioning if I should ir not and I was there taking that big step. Surgery done and in recovery, the nurse comes in to check in me. I look dow to see the work and niticed that my left breast is much larger than the right side. This is not good. I looked at the nurse and asked her if it was possible that I had bleeding so she went to talk to the Dr. I was right and they had to take me back in to the OR to remove the implant, flush out the blood and find the bleeder. (All while I was conscious!) Hurt a lot but the staff was amazing as was the Dr. He said that I was the first bleeder in 20 yrs. (Anither sign?) Everything done and over I was once again moved to recovery. By the time I got home, I was feeling pretty good. I even made dinner for my family. Over the next few days I had mild pain but every now and again I had shooting pain around the insicion on my right side. The pain got better everyday but I started to notice that my right side was considerably larger, tighter and sorer than the left side. I would have thought the left would have been the one to give me problems do to the bleeder but it wasnt. I had my sutures removed 3 days ago and a lot of the tightness in the incisions is now gone. I still have a difference in size which concerns me but the Dr said that I need to wait and give my body time to adjust. What worrries me is that I have what ppl would call a bird chest. Its pronounced and one side is slightly higher than the other. With that said I'm thinking maybe he should have gone a little smaller on the right to even out? My next appt is towards the end of June. I will have to wait and see what happens between now and then. I know its really soon after surgery, I just never thought that there would such a big difference in size. Most of it is the fullness so its kinda hard to see I the pictures. I will keep you posted. Updated on 29 May 2014: Ok so I have hit the 4 wk post op stage. My new additions are still hyper sensitive esp on the right side but I have less pain. I do still get some discomfort both In the morning, (I have heard it called morning boob) and in the evening when i have worn a bra all day. I have posted some updated pics. I have a noticable difference in them at this time that I'm not happy about. Seems to get worse over time when its supose to be getting better. The right side is fuller and perkier than the left. Simply put, its bigger. Very noticible with clothes on. So much so, I have to pad the left side to make them look even. I have waited so many years to have this done and one of worst fears seems to be happening. I'm going to wait until my 8 wk follow up appt and talk to my Dr then but as of right now, I'm thinking I'm going to need revisional surgery to place a larger impant in the right side. I know most women have some asymetry but I don't think that was taken into consideration during my consult. Oh to be able to do it over again......
I have decided to get Vaser Lipo on my Upper and Lower Abs, Love Handles and Sacrum (area above the butt). I found a great, board certified plastic surgeon. At my consultation said my procedure would be considered large volume liposuction, I would be under general anesthesia and the procedure would take approx 3 hours. He estimated he would remove 4 to 5 liters of fat. I am not really scared for the procedure to be done because I am going to be asleep. I already had my pre-op appointment and he gave me all of my precriptions. He said I am going to have alot of swelling from the surgery and the fluid so he is choosing to put in a drain tube. Now that part scares me! I can imagine how that thing is going to feel coming out. OUCH! But if it will help I am willing to do it. I will post before and after pictures and updates after the procedure. Any question, comments, or advice is welcome. Updated on 18 May 2011: Okay, so tomorrow is the big day. I have to be there at 11:00am. I think I have everything ready. I got my RX's yesterday, Maxi Pads, pads to put on my bed, and an extra garment. I am alittle scared, but totally ready to get this over with. I will write another review tomorrow evening if I am up to it. Updated on 18 May 2011: Okay so I took some before pictures, they are up! Hopefully the after pictures look a lot better. Updated on 19 May 2011: Well I am 6 hours post op. I have some mild discomfort at this time, but I can tell you when my pain meds started to wear off it was almost unbearable, certain areas felt like I was being stabbed with a knife. Now since I took more meds I am better and it is tolerable, but still pretty sore. The procedure itself went very well. They took 4 1/2 liters of fat out of me, alot more if you count the tumescent fluid. I have a drain tube and I am supposed to write down how much draining I have into the bulb that catches it, I have already had about 500 ml's come out. I can already clearly see that my abs are flat and my love handles are totally gone. The doctor did a great job!! I will update everyone tomorrow. I hoping to be able to sleep tonight. Updated on 20 May 2011: I just took my after measurements. I was really skeptical to post my before because they were so bad it was embarrassing. However the after measurements are so much better, and I figured it would help everyone realize how wonderful this procedure really is. Waist Before- 35.5 inches Love Handle Area Before- 44 inches Waist After- 33 inches (Lost 2.5 inches) Love Handle Area After- 37 inches (Lost 7 inches) Now keep in mind it has been 12 hours since my procedure and I am swollen, so after that goes down I will be smaller. I will get after pictures tomorrow, when I am allowed to take the garment off to shower. Updated on 20 May 2011: I am feeling pretty sore today. I washed my garment and got a shower, that made me feel alot better. My drainage has really slowed down a lot. I am posting after pictures, but as I said before, keep in mind I am still very swollen. The lumpy, curve things on my sides are from the garment wrinkling, it is just fluid build up. I feel alot smaller and am very happy with my results. I can't wait to see what I look like in a few weeks. I will keep everyone updated and I will be posting pictures weekly. Updated on 20 May 2011: I am feeling pretty sore today. Updated on 20 May 2011: Sorry for the double post everyone, I have no idea why it did that. Updated on 21 May 2011: Well I got a good nights sleep lastnight and when I woke up I feel a lot better. Ofcourse I am still sore but denifitely better than yesterday. When I first came home I was taking 2 Percocets every 4 hours, starting today I am going to try to cut back to one every 4. I took my meaurments again this morning, I will post them below. I think the most irratating thing of the soreness and swelling is the point that the outside of your vagina swells and gets very black and blue and sore. The doctor told me this was going to happen but I never thought it would be as bad as it is. When I go to sit down my garment hits the top of it and hurts very badly. I am still having a good bit of drainage, I never thought I would say this but thank God for the drain tube because I would be one swelled up mess without it. I reccomend anyone that has a large amount of fat removed with any kind of Lipo insist on a drain, it makes your swelling a recovery a whole lot better. So my new measurements are: Waist- 33 inches Love Handle Area- 36 inches (dropped another inch since yesterday) Down a total of 10.5 inches!!! YAY!!
I am 31 years old with four children, ranging from age 14 through 18 months. I have had large breasts since high school (DD) but with each child they got larger and never shrank much after finishing with breastfeeding. Before surgery I was a 34G, and now am about a 34C-D depending on the bra. I think once the post op swelling subsides I will be a C. I initially was only going for a breast reduction, but also had a lot of stretch marks, & a large amount of stomach fat that was out of proportion with the rest of my body. So I went for the full mommy makeover, with tummy tuck and flank liposuction as well. It's still early to see the results of the tummy tuck because of the swelling, but I am very pleased so far. Just 4 days post op, but 100% worth it. So happy with breasts, & excited to see final result of tummy tuck once swelling resides. The first couple days were very rough, but each day is better. I would recommend others as long as you have a good support system for recovery. My family has been awesome. Updated on 21 Apr 2015: Took pics after breakfast...I think the swelling is a little less today! Hoping to have my right drain taken out tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed that I stay at 30cc or less for the rest of the day. Updated on 23 Apr 2015: As you can see, a lot of my fat was carried in my abdomen & breasts, and was really frustrating. Weight loss barely touched it. Updated on 23 Apr 2015: Finally seeing the swelling subside just a tad Updated on 30 Apr 2015: Had my final drain removed today (YAY!!), and visit with Dr. Carpenter. He also removed a few stitches & the steri strips from my breasts. He said I could do the tummy tuck ones at home. So I'm free & clear to lotion up & moisturizer. I'm still debating whether or not to purchase a product with silicone in it. Right now I have the palmers skin therapy lotion. Healing is going great :)
During pregnancy, in order to make room for the growing baby, the muscles, connective tissue tissue and skin of the abdomen all stretch and grow. Exercise can do a lot to regain the muscle bulk and tone, but unfortunately it doesn't shrink the skin or the connective tissue around the muscles, often leading to a frustrating bulging the abdomen in spite of vigorous diet and exercise. Abdominoplasty is a procedure designed to correct pregnancy type changes of the abdominal wall, by removing the excess skin and tightening the muscle fascia (connective tissue around the muscles). The best place to start is with a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, who can guide you through the various options to make a decision on what procedure is right for your special case. Good luck making your decision!
There is no maximum BMI to have a tummy tuck, but the lower your BMI is the better your result will look. Your plan to lose weight prior to your procedure is a good one. You'll have a great result! My biggest criteria for body contour procedures is that your weight be stable. Healing from a tummy tuck requires your body to use extra energy (it raises your BMR). If you are still actively dieting, you won't have the extra calories to heal well. Get to your goal weight and be stable for at least 4 weeks before having your surgery, and then enjoy your flatter stomach!
Great job on your weight loss! You're feeling great, now you want to look great. Your dramatic weight loss is evident in your pictures. Unfortunately, you have typical resistant areas that seem to want to hold on to that extra fat in the "love handle" areas of your flanks. This may remain even you lose another 10 lbs. In addition to your tummy tuck, I think you'll want to address both the extra fatty tissue and the loose skin in the flanks. Liposuction will remove the residual fat, but you'll need skin excision to really smooth your hip contour. I think you will get the best result by extending the abdominoplasty scar as far as the skin laxity exists. This will likely extend to the love handle area, resulting in an "extended tummy tuck". Good luck!
There is no right answer. I often perform liposuction in conjunction with abdominoplasty, but there is a limit to how much fat can be removed when combined with TT. So it really depends on the areas of your body you want to address. If you want to contour your back, love handles and upper buttocks and thighs, I believe you should stage this separately from your TT. If you just want to address the abdomen and love handle areas, one stage is all you need for optimal results. You do not need to liposuction your central abdomen prior to performing your TT. Good luck with your decision!
Aging changes and changes in breast size due to pregnancy may result the breast skin becoming loose, allowing the breasts to sag. A breast lift (also called mastopexy) tightens the skin over the breast, making it perkier with less sagging. If the nipple is drooping, it can be repositioned on the breast as well. This is a very common and safe procedure. Your history of Herpes should not be a contraindication to surgery. Since the surgery doesn't involve your chest muscles, there is no restriction of your activity after surgery, and most patients return to their normal routine in a few days.
