WOW, speechless. Today marks my 1 month & 2 weeks post op I healed great & my results are amazing. I had an GREAT experience with Dr. Robert hands down the best! Dr. Robert truly cares about his patient also thankyou too nurse Patrica for being very patient & professional. Clean Environment, Friendly Staff, Smooth process 1000/1000 highly recommended. THANKYOU DR.ROBERT (:
I had a great experience with Dr. Robert, I have been seeing him for my cosmetic procedures for many years. Always had great results. I did many different procedures and treatments. I love that he has several locations and all of them are conveniently located and beautiful. Staff members always professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I've been recommending Dr. Robert to all of my friends.
I got my smart Lipo done yesterday at LA Lipo Center with Dr. Robert. I got the whole 360 (lower/upper abdomen, flanks, love handles) and also my chin/jowels. I’ve never done anything like this before so I was super nervous but the staff and Dr. Robert made me feel really comfortable. I think what made me nervous the most was because I did a lot of research beforehand and read horror stories and the fact that I was going to be awake during the procedure because they use local anesthesia freaked me out. I thought it was going to hurt! But honestly, it was all in my head because the experience wasn’t bad AT ALL. They started with my body, so they put a cover over my upper half so I couldn’t see anything that they were doing. Dr. Robert talked me through each step and kept asking how I was doing. The only part that I felt discomfort was when they were injecting the anesthesia to numb the area. But it really wasn’t painful. Kind of like little bug bites that lasted for a few seconds. After I was numbed up, he went in with the liposuction. I didn’t feel any pain whatsoever. All I felt was pressure. It might sound weird but it kind of felt like a massage inside my skin lol there were a couple moments where I felt slight pinching but that was because I had some scar tissue that he had to work through. Again, not painful. After he was finished with the Lipo, he went in with the laser to melt the fat and tighten everything up. It was a little uncomfortable at times because I felt some heat in certain areas but it wasn’t bad at all, it was tolerable. I was very impressed with the whole procedure. I psyched myself out for no reason lol Now I understand why this is such a popular procedure. After he did my body, he did my chin/jowels. Same as before, no pain at all and it was really quick. Dr. Robert was very detailed and knew exactly what he was doing. Him and the nurse kept telling me how great everything was looking so that just made me even more excited. I had my eyes closed mainly the entire time, I was very relaxed and probably could have slept through the procedure lol I felt fine after the procedure. After I was discharged, the nurse walked me out to my sisters car. I felt fine on the ride home, just was a little tired. My procedure was at 9am and I got home around 4:30pm. I had everything prepared for me at home before my procedure (sheet protector on my sheets, doggy pads, meds by bed) so when I got home, I went and laid down and took a nap. I woke up from my around 7pm-7:30ish and boy, I could tell the anesthesia was wearing off because I was feeling the pain. I could barely move. Thank God for my son because he basically waited on me hand and foot lol but after I took my pain med (hydrocodone), I felt a lot better. I also had arnicare tablets too so I took that as well. Still couldn’t really move much but I was able to watch a movie and eat a little bit. Then around 10pm, I took my antibiotic and my other medication (Valium) and I slept like a baby through the night. Updated on 10 Dec 2020: I apologize for the late update!! Here are my results after 6 weeks. I’m really 5 months post op (I’ll post those pictures later). I can’t tell y’all how much my life has changed with my newfound confidence. I’ve always been super self conscious about my body to the point where I was scared to date because of my body insecurities. Don’t get me wrong - I didn’t get this procedure done for anyone but myself. I’ve been single for YEARS and now I feel like a new woman. I met the man of my dreams and one of our first few dates, we went to the beach. I have never felt more confident wearing a bathing suit and dresses. We’re still together and happy as ever. I feel like if I never got the procedure, I wouldn’t have had the confidence to pursue. Now let’s talk about the recovery. It actually hasn’t been as bad as I thought it’d be. I was very sore the first 4-6 weeks but each week got better and better. I did notice a lot of lumps and I tried to massage them out myself everyday but it was too much and I felt like I needed to see a professional. I started getting lymphatic massages every week and it has helped with the recovery tremendously. If I could give any helpful advice, that would be the main one!
I’ve done SmartLipo on my abdominal section with doctor Robert. And I am extremely satisfied with my result. I am a fit person in general. So I didn’t have a high fat percentage on my body to begin with, but I always had a very common problematic mid-section area. And my biggest concern with This procedure was on a matter of how NATURAL it would look afterwards. Even after the first consultation with dr. Robert I felt like I am in right hands. He addressed all of my concerns and answered all of my questions. And after the procedure with all follow ups he made sure that my healing was going smoothly. The result was VERY NATURAL. I was even surprised how natural. People around me were asking me if I lost weight? Or if I changed my diet/workout? Nobody could even tell that I ve done something (even in bikinis). So He definitely knows what he does. And I would definitely recommend dr. Robert for anyone who consider SmartLipo
I just turned 45 May 5th and had lipo may 7th. That was my bday gift to myself. First off i would like to say that Rebecca, part of his front dest staff is just the sweetest and most down to earth person yet. Dr. Roberts whole team is great. Especially Dr. Robert. I had smart lipo on my upper, lower abs and love handles. I must say, i notice results as soon as the next day. I had no pain during surgery, i drained for only a day and a half but am only a week post op so im definitely still swollen, tender, and sore to the touch in some areas. I just got into a faja. I wore a compression wrap the first 5 days. I feel like a baby swaddled up in my faja ;) Very secure, compressed. Just need to get use to the ab board. I am truly happy with my results. Stay tuned for updates. Updated on 9 Jul 2019: Here are 2 pics 1 month and 2 months after. Still shaping. Very happy so far. Swelling is up and down. No more numbness or tenderness. I do like how my clothes fit me, no more muffin top! I wear my faja for 15 hrs a day. Be glad when that part is over.
End of June is my procedure date when I will get Smart Lipo 360. I will be doing my upper and lower abdomen, flanks, and love handles. I’m not super overweight, only about 25 pounds or so.. I’m 5’6”, 150, and 37 years old, but ever since I can remember, I’ve always had a boxy midsection. Thanks mom! I’ve always had “saddle bags” even as a super active teen, and early 20 something. Now I’m in my 30’s and some fat is starting to settle into my midsection and it just makes me feel gross. It effects my sex life, and my overall self esteem. I’ve done tons of research on SmartLipo, and found a doctor in the area who seems to have a pretty great reputation and a nice clean office. I’m very much looking forward to feeling beautiful. My procedure date couldn’t come soon enough. Updated on 8 Apr 2019: I hate that fluffy midsection that I would love to get rid of. I have such high expectations. I know I will be happier post op. Even if it’s just a little better. I’m lopsided. Always been a problem. One side is fatter than the other. I’ve scoured the before and afters and here are some I really love. The first two are me. The rest are of hopeful results for me with girls with similar before features. Updated on 8 Apr 2019: Before and after Updated on 27 Jun 2019: Got the procedure done yesterday. Both the doctor and the nurse were super kind and had great bedside manner. Any time I told the doc I felt a little discomfort, he gave me a couple more numbing shots and we were back on our way. None of it hurt, it just felt like getting a tattoo or something. Today I removed my bandages for the first time and wow, what a difference! My big bulging love handles are gone! I am a bit swollen but can already see such a drastic difference. Just taking it easy mostly but I was able to walk my two big dogs with no problems. I am suuuuper leaky though so I bought more than just dog peepee pads. I got some granny diapers and some super heavy maxypads to catch the flow before I dirtied everything I stood above or sat on. Overall I would say my highest amount of pain is a 2 out of 10. Quite easy to be honest. I’m just a little itchy here and there but I slept fine, and I’m getting around fine. I’ll post pictures as soon as I stop leaking. I am also a bit bruised up but that’s completely to be expected so no surprise there. Overall the procedure lasted about 4 1/2 hours. I had upper and lower abs, love handles and flanks. 10/10 would recommend. :) Updated on 1 Jul 2019: Still pretty sore but I returned to work last night and tonight I plan on bartending. I’m still very swollen, much more so than on day 1 and 2. It almost looks like before. Hahah.. but i know already that I’m wayyyy better than before. I tried on some bathing suits I couldn’t wear on vacation last month and both of them looked great on me, even with the swelling so I know that even with the swelling, my shape is overall wayyyyyy better. Not quite ready to post after pics cause the swelling will give the appearance that I am still quite chubby. Hahah. Maybe in a couple days. Updated on 9 Jul 2019: I know I’m still swollen but I can only barely tell anything was done. I’m noticing little imperfections from right side to left, but I’m hopeful that I’m just healing unevenly. I was, after all, slightly more chubby on my left side than my right. I don’t look THAT much differently at the moment.. but that just means as soon as the swelling is down, I WILL see the difference. Keeping hopes up. I guess I was hoping for a miracle cure and I’d just look 100% the day I walked out and it would stay that way. All the before and after pics never have dates on them so I assumed it was a week later or something. Now I know. Haha. They’re all 1-3 months. Updated on 10 Jul 2019: Sore. But doing fine. Been back to work for a week or more. Only bending over to pick things up off the floor hurts and I’m tender to the touch, but not in pain. I do notice I am swollen by the end of the day more so than in the morning. The swelling is still pretty substantial. Enough so that I spent the night googling other people’s two weeks out pictures to make sure I got enough fatty stuff taken out. Lol. I am so impatient. Updated on 18 Jul 2019: Still swollen. Feeling a little better. Still a bit tender to the touch. Wearing pretty tight spanx and getting lymphatic massages a couple times a week. They HUUUUUURT!!! :( But I’m told each one is a bit less painful. Looking forward to all the scar tissue breaking up and no more lumps. :)
I was recommended for both a tummy tuck and a mini tummy tuck. I am a single mom, with no help, and simply do not have the time, or the capacity to recover from a tummy tuck. I also might want more kids and getting a tummy tuck just wasn’t the best option for me. Tomorrow I’m getting lipo on my upper and lower abs only at LA Lipo Center, with Dr. Hashemiyoon. The journey begins!!! Updated on 8 Feb 2018: Updated on 9 Feb 2018: So, anything that requires weight loss is going to hurt. Exercise, diet, and surgery, it all requires some form of pain. Lol. I cannot say my procedure was completely pain free. What I can say is that lipo is not a quick fix and ultimately, it’s going to require maintenance. The surgeon removed 600cc’s from my upper and lower abs. I only leaked the day of the procedure and that was it. I soiled my clothes a few times. It wasn’t horrible but it was a challenge for me to get it under control. The blood kind of just poured out. I’m sore, but generally back to normal for the most part. I already see a difference, but I can’t wait until the three month mark so I can get a general idea of how my stomach will look. I’m very hopeful and very humble. The doctor was honest with me about my results, and made it clear before the surgery that he respected my decision. He even brought up options for a breast lift in the future. Which I appreciated. Towards the end of my procedure, he was a little bit more astatic then I expected him to be. It’s crazy, at first I wanted a super flat stomach, which would require a tummy tuck, but now, even if I still have a pooch, I’m ok with that. I’m ok if my breast sag a little bit and my nipples point south instead of east. No matter what I do to my body I’m never really going to be completely satisfied, so I’m learning to appreciate my curves and imperfections. I had a beautiful baby girl, and yes, my body isn’t completely back to normal, but she was worth that. I don’t want to be a cookie cutter, I want to be me. So, even with the lipo, and maintenance, I’m just happy loving myself a little bit more than I did two days ago. Updated on 12 Feb 2018: Updated on 21 Feb 2018: When I wear my compression garment, I see the smoothness in my clothes. I’m still waiting for the three month mark to see what the final results look like. I was instructed to do deep tissue massages for 30 minutes a day. In the mean time, I need to be keen on diet and exercise for best results. This is not a quick fix. Updated on 25 Feb 2018: I have a long way to go before I see the final results. I’m sure if I went back for my love handles and flanks, I would look 100 times better. I need to change my diet and lose some more weight to make this experience worth while. I am 5’3 170 llbs and hate that I am overweight. On a positive note, I can say that my stomach looks better than it did before and I’m happy. More updates to follow. Both adjunct treatments are excellent treatments. Both can be used under local anesthesia. Neither one is usually satisfactory for the reduction of significant fat by itself and needs to be used in conjunction with liposuction. SmartLipo was FDA approved in 2006. Overall it is a safe procedure with a less than 1% complication rate in the hands of well trained physician. I was one of the first doctors using it in Beverly Hills. I have treated thousands of patients in the past 12 years with great success and have had no complications. You can expect abut 50-87% more skin tightening compared to traditional liposuction. BodyTite was FDA approved in 2016. It is newer technology and the studies indicate that it does provide more skin tightening than SmartLipo - approximately 17-20% more than SmartLipo. It does require a more experienced physician as it can cause surface skin burns if not used appropriately. It is also usually a more expensive procedure, Lastly, it melts enough fat that some liposuction to remove the excessive melted fat is usually recommended. Since it is almost double the price I usually recommend BodyTite only if maximal skin tightening without surgery is required. For the average patient SmartLipo is more than sufficient for great results. Without a proper evaluation it is difficult to determine, but just based on your inquiry and from your pictures it appears that you are a good candidate for either procedure. If maximal skin tightening is your goal then BodyTite would be a better choice.
When given a choice between traditional lipo and Smartlipo the decision is actually quite easy. In study after study Smartlipo has shown superior results to traditional lipo so it is the clear choice. Additionally, since most Smartlipo procedures are combined with traditional lipo you are getting the best of both worlds. The difference of using the laser in addition to the traditional lipo can provide the following benefits:
