Should Fees for Anesthesia and Operating Room Increase for Adding an Additional Procedure Being Performed at the Same Time?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Operating room fees are usually charged by time, as are anesthesia fees.  Combining procedures is actually more cost efficient because most operating room and anesthesiologist fees begin the moment you enter the operating room.  Assuming there is a 15 minute lag until you are put to sleep, and also after you wake up, you will save money by not having two operations and replicate the O.R. "inflow-outflow" time period.

Risk of Nerve Damage with Chin/neck Liposcution?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Though liposuction uses blunt cannulas, there is a small, but appreciable chance that a nerve, most commonly the marginal mandibular nerve to the corners of the lip, can be traumatized.  When this occurs, the affected side will not be able to "frown" and smiling will occur only on the opposite side.  This injury is usually temporary and will resolve in several weeks time.

Closed or Open Rhinoplasty - What Do I Need Done? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

An experienced board certified surgeon should be highest on your list for a rhinoplasty.  Your nose can be changed by either method.  However, reducing your hump only will leave your nose too wide and your tip too large.  Balance of all the nasal structures is more important than the method used.

Do I Need a Lift? I'm 50 y/o and Don't Want To Look Like I'm 20, but Want Them Larger? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

If you put a pencil under your breast at the inframammary fold (lower crease) and your nipple is below the level of the pencil, you most probably would benefit from some sort of lift along with your augmentation.  Otherwise, you will be left with the "Snoopy" look:  lax and loose breast gland hanging down from the curvature of the implant.

It may be that you only need to lift the nipple/areola (peri-areolar lift), or possibly a vertical lift to map them look natural.  A natural look for ANY age is NOT having the nipples below the breast crease.

What's the Disadvantage of Open Rhinoplasty?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

In experienced hands, both open and closed rhinoplasty give a surgeon options to achieve the desired outcome.  An open rhinoplasty will leave a scar in the columella, which is usually imperceptible when healed.  Also, an open rhinoplasty may have a slightly longer time of tip swelling.

Vaser Lipo or Tummy Tuck or Other?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

The question that needs to be asked to determine what options are right for your is, "If the fat around my trunk is removed, will my skin shrink-wrap enough to look smooth, or will it stay loose and create folds?"

In general, abdominal skin with stretch marks does not have the elasticity to shrink or contract.  Smoother skin with taut fat (not loose, shaky fat) may tighten adequately.  I find that I do liposuction in almost all my tummy tuck patients.

Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon.  He/she will be able to assess which procedure, or combination, is best for you.  If you do the best procedure, regardless of recovery time, you will be happier in the long run.

Can I Get a Nose Job for Free if I Have Been Referred to by a Doctor for my Nose?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Your insurance will pay a portion of your nasal surgery for the reconstruction from trauma.  You should understand that they will not pay for all of this portion, and you should check with your insurance documents regarding your deductible and co-pay.  The cosmetic portion, to "shave down parts....I dislike" will not be covered.  You will pay for this portion along with the deductible and co-pay out of your pocket.

Can I Elevate my Tip to Disguise my Hump Without Dorsal Rasping?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

From your photos, your tip will require some sort of support and/or projection, whether it be a tip graft to augment the tip and/or a columellar strut to support the tip.  Your hump will not be "disguised"  by these manuevers and may still requires some reduction.

What Procedure Accomplishes This Kind of Upward Diagonal Correction? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

In general, the farther away a deformity is from the incision, the less effect any surgery will have on the problem.  Your specific issue is in an area rarely directly lifted or tightened by any kind of facelift.  The pull of the skin in any surgery progressively diminishes as the distance to the problem grows, despite what you see when you pinch your skin.  You will be disappointed with the results in an extended surgery, and there is a high possibility of injury to the nerves which move the lips.

Neck Lift

Nancy Nellos

Awesome Surgeon

I met with him 9 months prior to the surgery, my husband and I knew from the 1st appointment that he was the one that would be doing the face and neck lift. I had a face and neck lift last Jan.2017 I couldn't be happier with the results. Dr. Izquierdo is very qualified surgeon and I would recommend him to everyone. FYI, I am 65 years old and I look better than most 45 yr old women.

Sagging Upper Arms No Matter How Much I Lifted Weights - Naperville, IL

I am 61 yo and 130 lbs, 5'3" tall. No matter how much I lifted weights and worked out with my trainer, the upper arms sagged. I had had enough! Having had a previous VERY positive experience with Dr Izquierdo, as had my daughter, I decided to go for the brachioplasty. The results are PHENOMENAL. Not only do my arms look fantastic, but the scars don't show, even though they extend from the armpits almost to the elbow. I LOVE Dr. Izquierdo! He is an AMAZING cosmetic surgeon, with an excellent eye for esthetics. I would not go to anyone else! Updated on 20 Oct 2015: Updated on 20 Oct 2015: Updated on 30 Oct 2015: Scars are barely visible. I learned from previous surgeries, that applying BioOil twice a day, and rubbing it into the scar/keloid, makes it flatten and lighten to the point of being almost invisible.

I lost 8 lbs of fat in he process and have the perfect body. This was my first surgical experience with Dr. Izquierdo and couldn't have been more posititve. My daughter had a breast aug with him previously and got outstanding results also. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! Outstanding surgical skills and esthetic sense.

Dr. Izquierdo is THE BEST BODY GUY! - Naperville, IL

I had silicone implants, liposuction, and fat graft to my lips done in 2007. Everything is still amazing. His body work is fantastic. Everyone still compliments me on my boobs and since moving to CA and TX everyone continues to ask me where I had them done. I actually now have been working for Plastic surgeons in South Texas (major city) and even the best doctors here do not compare to the work he did. I know when I will eventually need them replaced I will be going back to IL to see him, and only him. My lips were also fantastic, I unfortunately reabsorbed the fat but I have had my lips done by a dozen other "top" surgeons in CA and TX and nothing was close to what he did. Not only did I was some additional volume but I had tissue loss due to being improperly injected by a "top" surgeon located downtown Chicago who injected a blood vessel... Not cool. I am trying to find the opportunity to go see him before my wedding and send my mother. I recommend everyone within 2-3 states distance to see Dr. Izquierdo every chance I get (and I have a lot of people ask because they know I do my research and have amazing results myself!)
