I decided to write a review today following my surgery on the 16/10/17. I was scheduled to have surgery with Dra Duran on the 10/10/17. I got to DR on the 08/10 went for all my assessments and blood work on the 09/10. After the blood test I went in to see Dra Duran. She told me my result is fine except for my ALT that is raised to 44 and normal is 34 I think. I was worried bcos I had it checked before flying out. Anyways she sent me for further test in their hospital and the Doctor there sent me for other scans and blood test. On the 09/10 was Monday and the last result came on Friday all negative. That’s one week wasted. Dra Duran was unable to see me that Friday even though I wanted to know my faith. Let’s just say that that one week was the most stressful time of my life. I so wanted to take my money and just go back home but I was with my cuz so it was not that easy. At the weekend I told my cuz that my instinct tells me Dra Duran does not want to do my surgery. We concluded that I will research another Doctor and try them. Monday the 16/10, I went back to Duran’ s office she said that even though the final result came back negative that it appears I was exposed to Hep B hence I will have to pay additional 1000 dollars. I tried to argue it cos I work in the hospital and had all my vaccination. I paid up as she quoted me 5400 dollars before. In total I paid 6,400 dollars. Then she asked for my blood pressure to be checked before surgery and it was high. I explain that I do not have blood pressure problems and actually had the 24 hour blood pressure test before coming to DR. I did MRI test, exercise run test to make sure my heart is healthy enough before traveling. As much as I love to have my surgery done my life is more important. Duran turned me down after 8 days in DR. Then she said that she will introduce a doctor to me that their work is similar but it’s up to me. Duran Assistant introduced me to DR TORRES and took me to his office. He was not there so I waited. I called my cuz who pleaded with me to come back to the recovery home and think first but I refused and said my instinct never fails me that I will know as soon as I set eyes on the Doctor. Well after waiting for about 5 min Dr Torres Acosta walked in with so much swag style and so darn handsome. We greeted and then he said I heard your blood pressure is slightly raised but not to worry I will do your surgery only if you let me. He was so confident of himself and as a Health professionals myself I know a good doctor when I see one. Well I switched my phone off as my cuz was really stressing and 10 min later I was ready for surgery.
I had my surgery done and the following day I could not believe it when I saw my body. DR TORRES got me snatched and gave me a figure to die for. I will be forever grateful to this Doctor and also to Duran for not doing my surgery rather introducing me to DR Torres. Sometimes the least popular once are the best.

Hi everyone let me share my surgery journey with you all. On October 8th, 2017 I travelled to Dominican Republic to have lipo and bbl done with one of the famous plastic surgeon on the island. When I saw the doctor I was told I needed a tummy tuck and they cannot do anything else but the tummy tuck. I felt so lost and confused I decided to ask that same doctor if they can give me a referral of a doctor I can visit just to see what someone else thinks. I was given three different doctors and Dr RafAEL Torres Acosta came highly recommend.
To anyone seeking plastic surgery in Dominican Republic listen up, the Best Plastic Surgeon to go to if you want the total package is Dr Rafael Torres Acosta! Here we go! When I entered his office my first impression was ok nice office, let me ask the reception if the doctor is available and if I can see him. The receptionist told me to have a seat and I will see the doctor in a few. Well let’s just say this was all God’s doing…when I entered his office space it was impeccable and Dr Torres himself looks like he came from the GQ magazine, fashionable well dressed, pleasant, nice demeanor , very professional and speak fluent English.
He shocked my hand and we both introduce ourselves and we began to conversate. What really impressed me with Dr Torres is that he listen to your needs and help you understand the pros and the cons of what you are asking him to do, he take his time and really explain everything you need to know before any procedure is done. He does not force himself on you at all he explains everything to you and tells you to choose a surgeon you trust and feel comfortable with. FYI – if he sees you are not comfortable you will not be his patient- love it!
The best part…I decided to choose Dr Rafael Torres as my surgeon and it was the BEST DECISSION I could have made. First of all I did not have a lot of fat to work with which the doctor explained to me but as promised he will do his best to make me happy. OMG, I am over joyed and really happy with my results. Dr Torres contoured my body with a gorgeous sexy shape, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT. Even though I am still swollen you can see my shape it is beautiful. My masseuse in the US is from Columbia and she is blown away by the work of Dr Torres comparing to the results some of her customers got.

This has been one heck of journey and I'm not even done yet lol!! I first started researching surgeons in February 2014 after learning about the secret medical tourism world in the DR. I was immediately smittened by Dra Walkiris Robles and sent a deposit booking a date for December 12, 2014. Months down the line after being in Facebook groups, hearing the disappoint of her refusing to do multiple procedures, leaving girls with rolls and back fat, I decided she was not the doctor for me. Luckily, i came across a realself review that I was intrigued by. The patient had surgery with a dominican surgeon named Luis Lima. She looked stunning, nice tummy tuck incision, perky breast. After speaking to his assistance Janet, I was certain this was the surgeon for me. Not only am I having all my procedures done( tummy tuck, full body Lipo, Breast lift with implant, bbl) but his quote was way cheaper!! His tummy tuck incisions are very neat and thin and I love his breast work. So, I sent my deposit to Janet, and now I'm just waiting with excitement!!!

even through all the confusion with choosing a surgeon, the goig back and forth about wether or not to go through with this whole thing, spending a great amount of money on myself, I have had the pleasure of making great friends. I can call them friends because they have been with me through all my indecisiveness, craziness, and just the support I needed when others were against me. Therefore, it's only right that I acknowledge my surgery buddies who have became so much more, Skinny Mia and Cee Love. We are all in different states all over but we are so close in many ways. Wether it's face timing at 12 at night or chatting while working these women are truly kind in heart.

Sooooo...a lots a happened since I last logged on! My surgery was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, but everything happens for a reason. I'm actually happy I decided to wait. I feel if I would have had surgery with Dr. Lima, I would have been disappointed with my outcome. No shade to anyone, but I had not been liking the results he had been putting out. Even with smaller patients his lipo skills were not as great as I would like them o be. Therefore, I will not be having surgery with him. I decided to choose a different surgeon, who I will not disclose until I post post op pics so stay tuned!! I Arrive in DR on February 17, 2015. Staying with Healing Haven.

Time is passing by, im sooo anxious and excited!!!! I went for my surgical clearance today, that included ekg, chest x Ray, and full panel blood work with urine. My ekg was normal, and my chest X-ray came back as normal. Just waiting for my hemo level.

So, I received my hemo redults back, 13.1. Not excellent but better than December's results 12.6. I'm going to continue to take the medications I was taking prior and also add the geritol liquid. I had stopped taking the SSS tonic a week ago.

its so exciting to see so many women going for surgery. I am truly excited for them. It's almost my time and all I can think about is how im scared of flying lol! I know it's crazy but I just don't like being that high up and my ears popping , I don't want to chew gum the whole plane ride lol. That should be the least of my worries, yeah I know.

Heyyyyy yall! I made it to ?DR today around 240om. Jules from Healing Haven picked me up, she is sooooo personable and HILARUOUS. Omgosh the driving here is ridiculous! I felt like I was gonna die like 20 times lol. I went to CIPLA for labs and testing and im scheduled for surgey on february 19, 2015. I decided to go with Dr. Rafael Torres. He is awesome and im confident I will get the results I want! Im having a tummy tuck, lipo, BL ba and BL but only to shape and fill in. My roommates are great, we are just chillin! Will update you soon!

Surgery was on Thursday feb 19, first patient of the day yayyyy. Woke up in pain and discomforting, ?DR drugs suck! I couldn't take my norcos until I was discharged. I love ?DR. Torres he has forever changed my life. I love my results and im happy I chose him. The procedures I had done were tummy tuck with hernia repair, lipo, bbl, Breast lift with implant.

I was so happy I had my first bowel movement I decided to do a 6dpo update. Im feeling ok, walking upright, and still getting Tired constantly. One of my Breast still has not dropped and has a lot of inflammation but overall I love my new body. I got more than what I wanted. My cellulite in my booty is also smoothing out, but if all doesnt smooth out oh well not a big deal lol. Overall im extremely happy!

Had my last post op appointment with ?DR. Torres. Everything looks good. My scars are so nice and neat, im in love with my Breast. Overall im very excited. We spoke about breast he said it can take up to 2 months but Im content.

My belly button is so small it's trying to close up, I just use a cotton ball but when I return home I will use a Marble. Still have so lower y swelling but other than that it's all good.

Hello my people! Well I am almost 2 months post op in a couple of days, recovery has not been easy but it still was worth it! I am loving my results. I am so thankful for Dr. Torres. He is an excellent surgeon.

Hello ladies, I will be three months post soon and I must say my body keeps improving and I'm loving the changes everyday. Even when I have swelling my stomach is still flat. I haven't lose any weight which I was depressed about at first but now it doesn't bother me at all. I wore a tank top ruled in my jeans for the first time in over 11 years and wanted to cry lol, you just don't understand the joy being comfortable in your clothes brings.

Not much to update on, 1 year and 4 months later still love my body. My weight fluctuates, right now I'm 175. I thought about a round two but I'm gonna leave well enough alone. So happy I took this journey a year ago, really changed my life. Happy healing to anyone who has had sx recently.

Hello all! Two years ago in February I became a Torres Doll. I'm not sure why my pictures were removed from Dr. Torres's website or his Instagram, but it's neither here or there, some people have inboxed me asking for an updated picture so here you go. I have definitely gained weight and it all has gone to my butt which is not cute at all. I feel so huge. I weigh 186lb right now, I am working on losing 30lbs, no plans for any more rounds I wanted my breast redone but honestly don't want to have another surgery for vanity reasons. I'm satisfied with what I have now.

Hello ladies! I'm 24 years old,I'm a mother of a beautiful 2 year old princess and I'm separated from my husband. I was born in Santo Domingo and raised in Brooklyn NY. After my pregnancy my body just looks terrible! I'm very unhappy with myself and I don't plan to have any more kids. I want to feel happy and confident with myself. I will be traveling to the Dominican Republic with my mom and daughter for the whole month of July. I'm currently at 200lbs 5'8, I need to go down to 180 by 7/3 which is when I'll see DR Rafael Torres Acosta. 2years ago he performed surgery to my mom (tt, breast lift and lipo) he did an awsome job! And she still looks great! I'm very excited and nervous at the same time because of all the pain I'm going to go through. I'm very happy to share my experience with you all. Hello ladies! i'm still doing my research and got a quote from DR Yily $5,800 and Dr Jesus Abreu $7,500. I hear good things about Dr Abreu but i personally think thats too much money.. Dr Yili is less money but ive been reading bad reviews about her, specially the fact that she "isn't the one operating the patients, and that they cover their patients face while sx" i don't really know if this is true but i don't want to take any chances. I've seen her work and i love them, but im just scared that these rumors might be true. I also got my blood work results back today from my doctor and im very happy to say that everything came back NORMAL :) i am sooooo happy! I have not lost weight but tomorrow im going to start juicing and eating healthy, in exactly 2 weeks i will be traveling to the Dominincan Rep with my 2 year old and my mom. Im super excited to get sx but im too nervous to be in the Dominican... I just don't know why.

Hello ladies! I'm here in the Dominican Republic and this weather is a killer! Any who..... I saw DR Torres Acosta yesterday 7/3, all my results are good and he will be performing tt, breast reduction and lipo. He scheduled me for Monday 7/7/14. This is what I think of the clinic... CIPLA has very professional and nice people! They are very sweet and try to help you with whatever they can. It's very clean and do wear gloves to draw blood and even the doctor to examine you. I love that place! I'm very excited to get my surgery done at this place and I feel I'm in good hands. I am not nervous at all and I'm waiting anxiously for Monday morning. I have to be there at 7am because I'm the first one that day. I can't drink any meds Sunday and my last meal must be before 10pm, after that time I can't even drink water. Anyways, I got surgery on 7/7/14
On 7/6 my last meal was at 9pm
I was at CIPLA at 7am and had my period :( my hemo level was 12.9(taken on 7/4) but I was very relaxed. DR Torres made me feel very safe in his hands and maybe that's why I was so at peace. I got marked my him around 9am and took my blue little pill, well let me just say that didn't work for me. I slept for 5 minutes and woke up. I was take to the OP room by this guy named Alejandro, when I got to the OP room a lady put the IV and sat me facing Alejandro, he held me while she was putting about 5-6 needles in my back. I got knocked out until my biggest fear happened! POW!!! I woke up!!! I was on my stomach and the doctor was doing lipo on my back, I remember I told the anesthesiologist "I have to pee" she said " go right ahead, you have a catheter" then felt asleep, then woke up 3 other times and I kept telling he DR " Rafael I'm awake! Please put me to sleep" he would answer me " Pamela everything is ok, don't worry". Next thing I know I was taken to the recovery room and remember telling Alejandro " I'm very cold, can you please get me an extra blanket" I woke up in my room and remember seeing my mom and my daughter, my precious baby was napping. I ate a soup that night and drank an apple juice, the nurses kept checking my pulse and pressure, thank GOd everything was normal. At 11pm DR Torres came to see me and tells me " you did great! You came out a true doll" he gave me a kiss and told my mom call me at whatever time if Pamela needs anything (my mom and him are friends outside CIPLA) that whole night I did great and they have me pain meds through IV. The next day I ate soup for breakfast again and apple juice. The nurse came in and helped me put my girdle on and sent me to walk for 2 minutes. I left CIPLA around 11:30 on 7/8

Hey ladies! Since my surgery on 7/7 I've been doing pretty good. I saw DR Torres on 7/10 and everything is healing pretty well! I started my massages on 7/12 I was expecting something worse than what I'm getting. They are uncomfortable but nothing out of this world! I was really scared of them but I can handle them. I've been taking a few naps during the day and I eat normal but very little cause this girdle is tight! These are a few pictures of me now.

I have been wanting surgery for years I have thought and even seen a few Drs throughout the years but never followed through for one reason or the other. It's time, making selfless decisions for my family was necessary and I have no regrets. I want my swag back not to please my husband or society but for me. Day 1

I have been obsessively stalking Dr. Duran and she is a superstar, but I need someone that is a little more assessable. Being just another job doesn't interest me I require more, so I have decided to continue looking. Who wants to add 200 to your budget anyway that could decide coach or business class flights. After going through all the feed and doing a process of elimination Dr Almonte is my choice after I receive an acceptable quote I will be paying my deposit and starting my plans. I decided a few days ago to use Dream Body Diva as my Recovery house. I will be requesting the third week of December the week before Christmas. I want to loose a few pounds before I would like a more of a streamline (athletic) with a lot of bounce. Saw a women at the store today and I wanted to ask her so bad if she's made a trip to DR her body looked just like the one I want, may have been a little to creepy though.

This was wrapped up quick!!!! I am sooo excited!!! Please note that Dr Almonte is requiring me to loose 30 lbs so taking me at my current weight was never going to happen, but no worries I'm a woman we make things happen if we really want something.

I was contacted on a Saturday by Lesley Dr. Almonte's assistant to confirm my surgery date. Yesterday I happened to be returning something there set a really inexpensive women's dress store (rainbow in Texas) and I found 5 maxi dresses all for 42 bucks. Now all I have to do is loose about 40 lbs and plan for every scenario.

Round trip tickets purchased which is two of the three majors. The way I decided to organize this experience is to first ask the following questions: why? How? and Where? Why, to get some extreme improvements to my physical self deposit paid to Dr. Almonte. How an I going to get there American Airlines, tickets purchased. Now the last of the majors where, I have no idea which recovery house to stay in, I think I have found the one and revisit my requirements and my search starts over again and again. Anyhoo, I'll like to tell the young woman who contacted my about not loving her appearance, I thoroughly understand and its great to do it for yourself but remember until you are able love what you have I actual look at the picture of my grouse belly (her name is Sam) and grin like it a cute little pet. But trust and believe that come April 18th I will say bye bye to same and turning saggy to sexy without looking back.
P.S. It would be great if someone could give me a few suggestion of recovery houses in the Dominican Republic

It really does take longer to find a recovery house then it does a doctor. I think we tend to trust Doctors a little more but the people that you are going to have to live with for weeks is another story. They don't have a web site but they do have a Fb, IG, and whatsapp number 829-355-1919 I chose them because they have a doc in residents and several real nurses and the nutrition is geared toward recovery, and from the reviews i believe they are honorable people. When I get there I'll update and and either confirm or deny the reviews. If you guys are on a search for a recovery house you may also want to go to Instagram recoveryhousereview. I think she/he verifies who you are before she allows you to follow, it was very helpful.

I thought I had it all wrapped up the doctor, the flight, the stay but no, Dr. Almonte's office emailed me and changed our original agreement ans wanted to charge me the same price. She told me that it would be too hard on my body and I told here not if I loose the 30lbs that she told me I needed to loose I would be okay. I would be going to a foreign country where I don't know the customs, or the language. her office would not properly answer questions and since I paid the deposit they have become far less helpful or responsive. I have requested my deposit back, we'll see what happens perhaps. I'll keep you updated. Soooo it took me a few days and I am going with Dr. Rafael Torres Acosta.

If you have had your birth certificate for a few years please be advised that the passport people are required the long form. The one that you use to enroll your kids or to get a job is not good enough. Make sure you are diligent once you order it from your state because this is how identities are stolen according to the Texas.gov web site. Now I have to wait another 30 days before I can apply for my passport, which is why you don't let the big stuff wait until the end.
Well now I have to find something else to go OCD over.

i am going to see Yily De Los Santos and staying at Luxury RH. Deposit paid. Flights bought. So excited.
I am getting my full back, armpits, flanks& abdomen lipo'ed and my hips and butt rounded. As well as chin lipo to get rid of my double chin. I'm tryina come back snatched like Miracle Watts. Wish me luck.

i was originally going with yily but shes been too busy and kind of iffy because of it. so i chose dr. torres acosta instead. he does only 2 dolls per day & his aftercare is said to be great. this is such a risk, i need to know my doc will be as careful and attentive to details as possible. i am looking for a tiny waist, full hips and round butt. possibly also chin lipo. we'll see.
