I went for a consultation for BA. I have to admit I was nervous before the appointment, but after 5 minutes in his office my fears were gone. Dr Vanderpool and his staff are knowledgeable and they listened to my concerns. I have surgery scheduled in March.
First off I went to Dr. Vanderpool 10 years ago for a full tummy tuck. After 3 babies I wanted to finally feel good about myself ago. Tummy tucks can be pretty brutal but Dr. Vanderpool did a great job and made the pain worth it. My stomach, to this day, is flat and beautiful with minimal scarring. If you listen to him and the nurses on your recovery instructions you should have fantastic results. Fast forward 10 years to 3 weeks ago and I had a breast lift and reduction. I’m not going to lie. It’s been rough. Really rough. I’m not sure if it’s my age (43) or if my hormones mixed with a breast reduction made for a horrible recovery? It’s nothing the Dr or the nurses did or didn’t do. It’s just my body. Most people go thru this surgery fine. I guess I was just a fluke! Anyway, I’m 3 weeks post op now and I’m doing better. My pain is still 3 to 6 depending on the day/hour but I know it’s just part of the process. Dr. Vanderpool makes the drive (6 hours!) worth it. We move to STL which put us further from him and I still chose to have him do my breast reduction because he is the good! His bedside manner CANNOT be beat. He puts you at ease and his whole office is just delightful and clean. The second reason I go back to him is because he has surgery suite there at his office. It’s so nice to not have to go to the Hospital for surgery and directly after you are allowed to go home! I always recover much better in my own house. No one likes surgery but he makes it better with all of these options. So my suggestion is to go see for yourself and get your confidence back!
Almost 2 months i think and my boobs look so ugly like a scream cone and they getting smaller i do the massages that the doctor recommended but they don’t work i have 490 cc mentor xtra high profile but they look super small and deformed Updated on 1 May 2022: Can someone tell me is thi is normal my boobs looks like a cone i believe I’m almost 2 months and they look so deformed and small i’m skinny and short i have 490cc mentor xtra high profile and to be honest they looks super small and weird at this point i’m very disappointed because I don’t knw if it is normal or I still have to wait more time for the results but what i see right now i just don’t like it ;(
Dr. Vanderpool was an incredibly understanding and open surgeon. He heard my concerns and addressed each one individually. His patience allowed me to make the decision to proceed with a procedure on my own terms and I will be forever thankful. This physician is highly recommended by me and some of my close friends any day of the week.
I decided it was time to really make a decision in regards to a tummy tuck this year since I was turning 40. I chose to have a consult with DR. Vanderpool because several people I knew had used him for breast augmentation and said he was wonderful. I also had a couple co-workers say he did a great job on their family members abdominoplasties. When I called to make my consultation appointment, his staff had already answered some of my major questions in regards to possible cost, if he used exparel, and if he used drains. I went in To have my consult and the office was nice and clean, staff was welcoming, and Dr Vanderpool was very professional. I’m pretty modest and only my husband and doctors who delivered my 4 children have only seen me completely naked.Him and his nurse made me feel comfortable even when photos of my complete body were taken wearing the skimpy paper panties. They assured me I would make a perfect candidate for a tummy tuck and breast augmentation. He was very thorough in his explanation of the procedures and only uses anesthesiologist that he trust for his own family. It also put me at ease to know I would have two doctors in the room along with his nurse team during surgery. He answered all my questions as well. His nurse assured me it would be a life changer and I wouldn’t regret my decision. I paid a deposit and surgery was booked! 3 1/2 months later I had my tummy tuck and breast augmentation. It went smoothly and I’m now 5 weeks post op. Recovery wasn’t as bad as I had prepared myself for. I was off narcotic pain medicine by day 3 and only use extra strength Tylenol sometimes when I over do it.My scar from tummy tuck is really low and straight and I LOVE the way my stomach looks! I’ve never been ashamed to wear my bikini letting it all hang out- I’ve had 4 huge pregnancies and always worked hard to get down to pre preg weight 125- but I am going to LOVE this summer for sure!My breast are mentor 450-465 high profile and I’m still waiting for them to drop and even out. I’m glad I made the decision to do this for myself and I’m glad I chose Dr. Vanderpool. He truly is an amazing surgeon! Annnnd, I want to give a big shout out to his surgical team because after doing all my research and looking at so many youtube videos and real self pics- I noticed how I was super clean after my surgery and didn’t have any sharpie marks- and trust me, I was marked up all over bc I had tummy tuck, breast augmentation, and lipo to flanks! They must have gave me a post op bath while I was knocked out! Truly appreciate that since I didn’t shower for 3 days lol. Barely any bruising too! I can’t express enough how great of a job Vanderpool Cosmetic in Fayetteville, AR is!
Dr Vanderpool and his staff go above and beyond for their patients. I have been so impressed. My husband has even been impressed and has always felt more then comfortable with me in Dr Vanderpool 's care. He uses Mentor brand implants and keeps all sizes and shapes fully stocked in his own state of the art surgical office. So if during surgery there needs to be an adjustment, he is able to make right there on the spot. My after care has been amazing!! He has made healing absolutely seamless. He uses various herbs and supplements to aid with swelling and bruising, even though I never had a single bruise and minimal swelling. I will recommend Dr Vanderpool and his staff to everyone who is interested in any type of cosmetic procedures.. you cannot put a price on piece of mind and quality work. I'm 2 months post op and can honestly say I would do it a million times over, and I look forward to seeing Dr Vanderpool at all by follow ups. Updated on 15 Jul 2021: I never leave reviews. Usually don't care much to or have the time. But Dr Vanderpool did such an outstanding job, I had to make sure I shared this with everybody. From the minute you walk into his office, Dr Vanderpool and his staff make you feel so welcome and so well cared for. My bestbreast augmentation was my 1st ever surgery. I never had the feeling to even think about being nervous. Dr Vanderpool and his team answer every question and every answer is thorough. This Dr literally is only happy if he did his job well. He genuinely cares for his patients and he wants everyone to leave his office feeling the best they can. You cannot ask for a better surgeon. If you're on the fence about a surgeon, go ahead and take a fresh breath of air and get off that fence and at least schedule a consult with Dr Vanderpool and his amazing team. You owe it yourself, and to your family, to be in the very capable hands of a high quality surgeon, and that is who and what Dr Vanderpool is.
Love, love, love my new breasts. So very glad my primary care physician recommended this amazingly talented board certified cosmetic plastic surgeon. One of my 23-year old implants had ruptured and needed removal and new implants. Dr. Vanderpool knew exactly what to do. He and his amazing team made my experience so great. I'd choose them again in a heartbeat.
A MUST READ REVIEW: I have been a patient of Dr. Vanderpool for 3 years and counting! I also schedule routinely appointments with his nurse Michell for lip injections. I absolutely love the warm welcoming atmosphere the staff provides (in person and on the phone.) I have had a variety of services done over the years. This has been the absolute BEST “one stop shop” to fix all of my concerns. My first procedure was a tummy tuck with liposuction after losing 100 pounds the year before. My second surgery was a breast augmentation. I had my previous silicone implants done by another surgeon replaced by Dr. Vanderpool’s expertise. He did exactly what I wanted & what I envisioned to look like. I wanted my 565cc silicone implants (that formed capsular contracture) replaced with 790cc silicone Mentor Memory Gel Xtra implants and that’s exactly what I got. I love my results. He made all of the hard work and effort to lose 100 pounds worth it. The surgeries I had are the finishing touches to my transformation. Doctor Vanderpool did an amazing job on all of my procedures. From the first appointment I ever met Dr. Vanderpool to my last follow up appointment.... every encounter has been the same warm welcoming non judgmental experience. I have trusted this man many of times to fix my bodily concerns. He amazes me each time! The outcomes have always been better than imagined. Doctor Vanderpool and his nurses have always completely explained everything from scheduling surgery, to what to expect before, during, and after recovery. They leave no details out. That’s exactly what you get when you choose Dr. Vanderpool. I send anyone I meet asking about my experience with plastic surgery to Dr. Vanderpool. I have had a couple of friends to go through with surgery and they are just as satisfied with the implants they chose. I have nothing but amazing things to say about the staff and quality of work provided by Dr. Vanderpool. If you are considering a procedure, I would give the office a call to schedule a consultation. I would make him your top choice in choosing a local surgeon. A little more about my injection experience, I absolutely love Michell! I never had injections before but I knew what I didn’t want to look like. I didn’t want huge duck lips, but I wanted them full and soft. Michell assured me she would make sure I was happy with the result, even if it’s coming back a few more times to adjust how much she puts in my lips. She gave me step by step what to expect from the numbing cream to afterwards care. I was really nervous about getting lip injections. Nervous about the pain and the outcome... but I couldn’t imagine my face without the lip injections now! It’s a must and my husband agrees! He thought a good lip gloss could do the job. It takes a needle and a really amazing nurse that specializes in injections to get the job well done. Thank you glam team for everything that you provide for me!
Hey girls! I have been following this site for the past few months and it has been so helpful in wanted to share and document my experience in hopes that it may help others! I am 33 years old, 5’2 and 112 lbs. I have always contemplated breast surgery as I was a small 32B prior to kids. My poor boobies shrunk down to nothing after nursing 3 kids and when I quit nursing in August, I found I couldn’t even fill out a 32A. It is so embarrassing! And it’s frustrating to go from a full C cup while nursing to literally nothing now. This journey has happened so quickly. I finally decided to schedule a consult with Dr. Vanderpool on Monday. They had me come in on Wednesday for the consult. We discussed my goals and settled on 450CC for the right and 425CC for the left bc I have slightly more breast tissue on my left side. I must say I am a little concerned they will be too large. I chose the 400/375 initially but the dr recommended stepping up so I am trusting his judgement! Updated on 18 Nov 2017: When we decided to go ahead with the surgery at our consult on Wednesday 11/15, the office informed us they had an opening the same week. We left to grab a bite to eat and came back for the pre-op appt. This all happened so quickly but I am thankful to be getting it done before Christmas. We checked in at 10:30 on Friday, 11/17 and I was taken back to the pre-op room to get my IV started. I met with the OR nurse, the anesthesiologist and Dr. Vanderpool, who marked me up and then I was on my way to the OR for an 11:15 surgery time! I remember feeling groggy and then nothing until the post-op nurse woke me up to take a drink of water. They also gave me a pain pill and some anti-nausea medicine. The doctor told my husband everything went well and he was able to do some things to tweak and even my breasts since they were lopsided. We were headed home by 12:45pm. They encourage you to take deep breaths to move the anesthesia out of your body but it’s hard bc it feels like there’s a bowling ball sitting on my chest! Once I got home, I just camped out in the recliner and slept for most of the day. My parents are helping out with our older kids (7 and 4) and my husband has been amazing with the baby (15 mos). Today is post op day 1. I got my first peek and snapped a few pics last night. Loving the results so far. They are crazy and rectangle shaped but I know I just have to be patient. The pain is bearable. I have been keeping on top of my pain meds and also keeping ice on it. My chest feels super tight but what I didn’t expect was how much it would hurt under my arms. I slept in the recliner last night bc there is no way I can push off with my arms to sit up from laying down flat. Will probably be in the recliner again tonight but I slept pretty well so that’s ok. I have to keep the bandages on until tomorrow (Sunday) and then I can shower. Will update soon! Updated on 20 Nov 2017: Today’s is post op day 3. Yesterday was great! I felt well enough to get out of the house and go have Sunday dinner with my family. I was able to go longer between taking pain pills. It was nice to see my family (most of them knew of my surgery) and everyone was super supportive! I was a little more tired than usual last night and went to bed pretty early but overall it was a good day. Took a lighter pain pill at 9:30 and fell asleep.... Must have slept pretty well for most of the night. Then I woke up at 4am in so much pain. My left arm was numb and asleep and that side has hurt worse since day 1. I also get a weird stinging and pulling sensation on that side incision if I try to lift my arm or twist the wrong way. It was tough to get out of bed but I used the restroom and took some more pain medicine. Very thankful I wasn’t having to go to anywhere today. Once I got up and around, I have felt a little better but still not as good as yesterday. So many have told me it’s a bit of a roller coaster ride going from feeling great to bad and everything in between. Just ready to start seeing the light on the easier side of things! I have still been taking pain meds today, only 1 about every 5 hours. My husband is going to get me a larger size bra, the one I bought is way too tight and is digging into me. I would like to be as comfortable as possible. Also, I just sat down and noticed this weird bubbling sound in the top of my right breast. So strange! Anyone else have that? Will post some pics soon! Updated on 22 Nov 2017: First day without pain meds or Tylenol. I can tell it’s getting better each day. Still have a lot of tightness on chest and weak/sore arms. I have been super tired everyday and needing to take an afternoon nap. I just trying to listen to my body and let it recover like it needs to. Updated on 23 Nov 2017: Happy Thanksgiving! About to jump in the shower so I snapped a couple of progress pics. Not much changing. Left side (which was larger to begin with) is still lower. Hopefully they will even up when they drop. I had 425 cc in the left and 450 in the right. Not too much pain this morning, back aching a little from getting used to carrying a little weight around! Updated on 29 Nov 2017: Had my first follow up appt today! So thankful to get the tape off and stitches out. It did not hurt at all when the nurse removed them. She showed me the massage technique that I will need to start doing. I really think it will help then start to drop more and soften out. The doctor said everything was healing beautifully and was very happy with the results so far. He seems to think the symmetry will be good once everything settles. They look better and better every day! Still wearing my sports bra but ordered a few wireless bras from VS that I’m excited to try now that the stitches are out. Here are a few pics. I love the results. Would do it again in a heartbeat! Updated on 16 Dec 2017: So happy with my results. Went for another follow up this week and everything is looking good. Incisions are healing nicely. I was told I can start putting me seems on them if I want to. The sensitivity is also getting so much better. Cleared to work out. Woohoo! A few pics for you. Updated on 30 Dec 2017: Everything is healing well and feeling great! I do think I have a Mondor’s cord on my right side. It’s always been more sensitive and I happened to see it the other day when looking at my incisions. I will ask the Dr about it at my next appt but hopefully it’s no big deal. Other than that, feeling is starting to return around my nipples and the hypersensitivity has decreased. Very happy with the size. Still haven’t been sized but I bought two Victoria’s Secret bras, size 32D and they fit great. It was so crazy getting to shop for a larger bra...no more A cup! Going to give it a while longer before getting sized to make sure they are dropped. Updated on 16 Jan 2018: I had my 8 week post op appt last week. Everything is still going great. Dr said thigs are looking perfect. Right side (which had the slightly larger implant) is still a tiny bit higher. He recommending to keep doing massages on that side for a few more weeks. I was also given the ok to start wearing normal bras now! Yay! I was getting so tired of the sports bras. I finally went and got sized today. I am a VS girl...all my bras and workout clothes are from Victoria’s Secret so I was was excited to get an official size. 32DD...say what? I did not expect that! But I will say I think the final size is perfect. Definitely glad I didn’t go any larger but also glad they aren’t smaller. They truly are perfect! Will try to post some more pictures soon. Updated on 17 Jul 2018: Y’all, I can’t believe it’s been 8 months. So incredibly happy with my results. I go back for my 8 month appt tomorrow, hoping it will be my last! I have been getting injections to help with some raised scarring–I do not scar well at all. This will be my 4th round of injections but I am seeing noticeable improvement. Not quite as red and raised as before. I cannot tell you enough how much this procedure has changed my life—my attitude, self confidence, and overall happiness. I never realized how much it was affecting me before. If you are on the fence, I encourage you to do lots of research and decide what’s right for you! In my case, this was 100% the right decision. So thankful!
Today 4 day post op, i thought i would be walking straight by now and easing away from pain pills. Wrong! still taking pain meds every 4 hours, i highly recommend you to set up a timer. I missed one and it was not good, i had to wait to take effect. Tummy is pretty flat, hips are swollen from the lipo and back. Breast are pretty swollen, doctor suggestes not to massage them until my first post op appt. I still haven't had a bowel movement even with the stool softner. I have my post op appt tomorrow and look at the incisions. questions i have will be in regards my swillen feet, i can get them to go down.
Great question! EMSCULPT is a non-invasive treatment and requires no recovery time. The EMSCULPT procedure feels like an intensive workout. It induces very strong (supramaximal) muscle contractions, not achievable during workout, but you can lay down and relax during the treatment! Whether you experience soreness is patient dependent.
