This is one of the best things I've ever done in my life! My ears have stuck out since I was a child. I was constantly made fun of and hated wearing my hair up even as an adult. I was shocked how much more attractive my face was after my ears were the focal point of my face. The procedure left me with no pain, only mild discomfort. The worst part was the swelling and it lasted for several weeks. I was back at work with no problems within 3 days. I would recommend this to anyone.
Had my operation today! I'm all wrapped up today and can't see much, but should be able to see more after my appt tomorrow. Can't wait!! Pain is definitely there but bearable. Did 450cc on right and 390cc on left. My doctor was running a special for the month of January. Excited to see my progress over the next few weeks. Updated on 15 Jan 2017: I have a spot under my right breast that hurts pretty bad. It's superficial so the rubbing of my bra on it is not helping. Thinking one of my stitches may be pinching me weird. I also can feel a swish on my left breast, but the nurse said that was normal. Next follow up in 6 days! Updated on 31 Jan 2017: Top is before, middle is day after, and bottom is 10 days after. I just realized I never posted these. Will need to do another update because they've dropped even more. But you can really see on the bottom how much they have dropped. I'm so ready for them to round out around the bottom and hoping they fill out more so my nipples don't look so low. Still loving them so far!
Augmentaion, lift.lipo 8 yrs ago and also took my bff to him and she got the same as well.great Dr.and loving caring staff.had some issues with implant.had a new one put in and I would do it all again. Thanks Dr.vanhoy.
I'm 13 hours from my surgery and finally decided to stop creeping and post my own "review". Probably because I'm too nervous to sleep. I'll be traveling 4.5 hours for my surgery so I'll actually be getting up and ready to head out in about 4 hours or so. Anyway, I'm currently a 36C but not full at all. I don't think I look like a C cup at all, but as I've learned from this site - cup sizes can be decieving. I'll be getting 550cc on my right side and a little lower on the left. I can't remember what they said the difference was but I guess I'll find out tomorrow. I'm very nervous about the procedure and having to recover in a hotel for the first day. I'm hoping to sleep most of the drive back so it won't be painful. Will post pics when I'm on "the other side" I took a few before pics earlier and I'm hoping I'll remember to take a couple more before the procedure. Updated on 15 Dec 2015: The surgery went well, but they did say that I bled a lot more than expected. Thankfully, everything is ok though. The staff at Premier Plastic Surgery were amazing. They made me so comfortable before the surgery. I was still nervous though. They put my IV in and then took me back to the operating room. I laid down and they started the anesthesia and was out. When I woke up I was in a lot of pain and just wanted to go back to sleep. They put the surgical bra on me and wrapped me up tight in the ace bandage then helped me up and walked me to my car. The 10 minute ride to the hotel felt like forever and I whined at my husband the whole time. The poor guy. We got to the hotel and I took some pain meds and slept on and off for the rest of the day just waking up to take more meds and to eat once. The dr said to only take the percocet when needed and to try to just take ibuprofen. He said you're just treating a muscle pull. It felt like much more than just a muscle pull to me though and of course it's like the worst muscle to pull bc you use those muscles for so much. Ive been taking the percocets about every 4 or 5 hours so far. I went back to the surgery center at 9 this morning for my first check up and they said everything looks fine and to come back in a week. 5 hours later and I'm finally home and in bed (my surgeon was 4.5 hours from where I live). I've been in constant pain since this morning probably bc of the long bumpy drive. I'm feeling better now that I'm in bed and cam finally relax. I got 550cc and 520cc. I already feel like they're not as big as I had hoped, but hopefully after they settle and look more normal I will like them more. I'll post a pic of them without the bra when I'm less sore and feel like taking it off. I'm gonna try to sleep as much as I can until they feel better. Updated on 16 Dec 2015: I'm 1.5 days post op this morning. I woke up very sore because I took an ambien last night and slept through the night with out any pain meds. It was nice to be able to sleep all night, but I definitely paid for it when I woke up and hadn't taken any meds in almost 12 hours. I tool an oxycodone though and now I'm feeling better. Still sore of course, but as long as I don't move too much I'm fine. I took a pic with the bra unhooked and figured I would share how they are looking so far. Still very swollen and tight. Very high up. I am not liking the size so far. I was hoping they would be bigger. Maybe after they drop I will like them more. Fingers crossed. Updated on 16 Dec 2015: Updated on 17 Dec 2015: Still very high and tight. Also very sore and if I lift my arms or put pressure on the it feels like the muscle is tearing. It is better than the first day though. I hope the soreness will go away before I have to go back to work next week. Washing my hair was hard and I had to blow dry the tape on my incisions after getting out of the shower. I'm not sure if I got them completely dry or not, but hopefully it was enough. Updated on 20 Dec 2015: Today makes 6 days since my surgery. Tomorrow will be a full week! They are still sore, but not as much as before. I was able to walk around the mall all day without any pain meds other than a Norco that I took early this morning. No change in looks though. Still very high and tight. I can't wait until they feel normal again and don't hurt at all. I really can't wait for them to drop. I like them and they are much more than I had before, but not as big as I initially expected. Still hoping that they will look bigger when they drop. Updated on 22 Dec 2015: Had my week check up today. Dr said everything looks great. They removed the tape and stitches so I've been more sore today. It could also be bc I went back to work today or that I wore a regular bra (no underwire) instead of the surgical bra. Probably everything together. Hopefully it feels better by morning bc I have to go back to work. My incisions are so sore that I don't want to wear a bra tonight. I think I'll take a pain pill and go to bed soon. Updated on 24 Feb 2016: It's been a little over 2 months since my surgery and I'm not sore at all anymore. When I lift things that are heavier than my 2 year old, my boobs feel a little weird though. Not really painful, just like they aren't completely done healing. It's no big deal though. They have dropped more, but not completely and one is dropping faster than the other and it makes them look uneven. I already have plans of a second surgery in about a year. I wanted much bigger than I got and trying on the sizers was a little bit misleading. I guess since I went under the muscle.
I went in May 2015 and booked on the spot after having 2 other consultations. I lost weight very quickly and I went from 'thick' to a fit and trim lean yoga body in 4 months. My boobs went faster than I could blink! My pec muscles are bigger than my boobs at this point. I'm a tall girl and this isn't cute. Updated on 30 Sep 2015: What I thought I'd like turned out to be too big to fit without massive side boob. We are going with the new Natrelle Insprira implants. 485R and 450L with a nipple lift on the left. These will go under the muscle. My husband, poor thing, just didn't know what to make of it all. He likes things as they are. I had originally settled on 530R and 492L, but the diameter was too wide for my 14cm width. Instead of the moderate profile, I'm getting a full. Updated on 15 Oct 2015: I went into the surgery center at 7am. They immediately took we back and started IV and went over anesthesia and reconfirmed the plans for the day. I actually kept our original plans for Allegran Inspira 485/450cc. Everything went pretty quick and I was actually at home at 10am. The pain was rough! If I just thought about moving my muscles were in pain. It was pretty bad. I took a Percocet after 3 hrs and have been feeling much better ever since, only taking the ibuprofen every 5 hrs. I'm taking the advice of the other ladies and have set an alarm for 2 am to take a scheduled dose and stay ahead of pain. The Dr called me about 7 to check in with me and freely said to call him if I need him. I'm scheduled for a follow up first thing tomorrow morning. Updated on 16 Oct 2015: I had a nipple lift and crease lowering on the left side. These are looking high, tight, and deformed lol. Thanks to all the reviews and pics on this site I understand this is all quite normal. I feel so good today. I was out of the house for 8 straight hrs. This is going great. Updated on 19 Oct 2015: Here's an 18 year old for you Updated on 23 Oct 2015: My stitches came out today for the inframammary incisions. The one for the nipple lift had a new bandage tape applied to it for another week. I was given the ok to go brakes less if I wanted as well as shown how to massage the implants so they can start getting away from my collarbone. Updated on 26 Oct 2015: So today I noticed something very prickly on my left boob. My clothes touching it is uncomfortable. It really came up as I was about to wind down so I've rehabilitation moisturized and applied Bio Oil. The way I would describe this is similar to a carpet burn. I didn't think my size was that big to stretch the skin like this. I've given birth 3 times and I was just over 40 lbs heavier. But nope, skin stretching and trying to get used to these new fun bags. Updated on 27 Oct 2015: I have a pretty active yoga practice. Going into this, I knew to pay attention to my body, not just a standard timeline for what I should do. On my one week checkup I did ask Dr Van Hoy about exercise. His answer further confirmed why I chose him. He told me to use common sense and don't push beyond where my body is. Perfect!! I told the instructor when I went in and she even gave me a few alternatives to poses. Her class was a flow but she flowed slow and I was able to stay with the class... I was only going there for the energy and planned to sit on my map after the warm up. Things felt amazing and I just kept going. I stay aware of arm stretching because there were a couple of things I wasn't quite ready for. Side angle pose was one of them. I have had a great experience so for and I truly believe the physical condition I was in prior to doing this had a lot to do with it. Updated on 31 Oct 2015: Slowly but surely muscles are relaxing. I've been doing the exercises are 3 times a day. They are also starting to soften and I can feel some slight movement in them. They are still high up and haven't fluffed out much either. I think there is some good progress. Updated on 4 Nov 2015: I decided to get two bras for everyday wear right now. I have full projection boobs but don't think I realized I would be in these numbers lol. Updated on 5 Nov 2015: I think I am just going to take much longer than others to soften and settle. Much improvement this week with them get much softer, but that upper fullness is so very real, they still are far from pretty. I have to think so much about not using my muscles. Upper body strength was there, I had no idea it was this strong. Massages are 3 times a day and I am starting to get just a little more aggressive with them. Updated on 15 Nov 2015: Pretty big improvement this week. Nipples are still quite sensitive. They are really starting to soften. Updated on 18 Nov 2015: Updated on 20 Nov 2015: Lots of dropping and softening now. Too bad they now look smaller than last week. Updated on 20 Nov 2015: Updated on 27 Nov 2015: They are settling down quite nicely. It's funny how they start to look smaller to you when they are yours. I'm really happy with how they look on my frame. Had me slightly worried for a minute. That's why I have been updating every week for women who might be out there who take a bit longer to soften around the implant. Updated on 27 Nov 2015: I kept measuring myself and knew the bras they gave me the last time were not right. With the size of my rib cage I couldn't understand this adding 4-5 inches to that to come up with a band size. Why are we still using such a caveman system when Brad today are made with stretch material? Made no sense. Sure enough, this new person is talking the correct language about how they should fit. She measures me a 30F. European sizes and bras are the best. The band is true to rib cage size. As it should be. The bras looked amazing and they for beautifully. No gaps, spillage, bulging.. Perfection Updated on 1 Dec 2015: I see now the 'sister size' thing doesn't work for me. The 32 DDD and 34 DD are supposed to all interchange, but I really needed the smaller one. The F cup fits like a glove. The 30 bands don't come in US sizes so I'll be getting UK or European ones. Found great dealers on EBay! Much less cost than the lingerie stores here. Updated on 7 Dec 2015: Updated on 14 Jan 2016: I'm still in a 30F. After about week 7, they have settled in very nicely. These are just fine for me but if I ever have to get them redone, you know I'd go bigger since I'm stretched out more. Lol! Updated on 24 Sep 2016: My boobs have settled in nicely. I am so pleased with them. They are the perfect size for me. I am a 32E and I have adjusted to them well.
Ever since I was in high school, I have wanted a BA. I really think I suffered from "body dismorphia" I let not having breasts control my whole life! After graduating college, and starting my career I decided it was time to get the ball rolling on this BA. I applied for Care Credit and was approved immediately. All my girlfriends told me about my PS, Dr. Van Hoy. So I inquired online first (I think it was a Friday after they had closed) and the following Monday they got back with me. So Mary (his receptionist, who is the sweetest woman on earth BTW!) and I emailed back and forth and set a consultation date for the beginning of September. The next day, I emailed her and said I wanted in sooner, sooner as in the next week!! So on August 12th, I had my consultation and went back a week later on the 20th and had my surgery. I wanted it done and over with and besides, who can wait that long for surgery? Definitely not this girl! This is definitely one of the best decisions I've made in my life thus far! Updated on 22 Sep 2015: Surgery was at 12:30 on Aug. 20th, 2015. I was out of the clinic by 3pm. Upon waking: no pain, no tightness. I left the clinic and ate in a restaurant with my husband and back at the hotel by 4:30pm. I took Ambien to sleep thru the 1st night. Went home after check up with my doctor, took ibuprofen 4 times a day, and honestly no pain just stiffness. Had visitors all day and I stayed in my husband's recliner (very comfy btw) slept there for a full 7 days then was cleared to sleep in the bed and on my sides, so I got much better sleep! After 1 week I could wear a normal bra or no bra if I wanted. I had such an easy recovery it's hard to go into detail of my experience. I just did everything normal as if I didn't have surgery. Updated on 20 Oct 2015: Went in last week for 6 week post op appointment. Dr. Van Hoy said everything looked perfect and couldn't believe he was able to fit 457cc in my chest. I don't go back in until April for my next appt.
Hey all, I have always been a part of the small boob society. Before children I was a nice perky B cup, but I always wanted to go bigger. While carrying and nursing my first child "the girls" increased to a 38D!! Unfortunately, they went back down to a B cup. Then with child number 2, I increased to a 38 C. After 2 years of nursing, I am about a 30-32 A. They are so delayed and saggy that I am ashamed for my husband to even see them. I finally got up the courage to get a BA. I only met with 1PS. Dr. VAN HOY and his staff were great from the very first visit. I had my first consultation in April. From there I had to receive a cardiology clearance. I scheduled my surgery as soon as I could which was 5/21/15. I chose 397cc moderate plus profile under the muscle. The 2 weeks leading up to surgery were filled with anxiety, excitement, doubt, and a whole host of other emotions. Surgery day was a breeze I arrived at 7am, and was headed home by 9am. I was in and out of sleep the first day (which may have caused my insomnia that night). Day 2 I tried to space out my pain meds which led to more pain and discomfort. I'm just ready for them do and fluff. I'll continue to wrote and post pics. Hope this helps. Updated on 3 Jun 2015: This recovery has been a little more challenging than I anticipated. I was able to get up and go places about day 2-3, but if I waited too long for pain meds it was rough. I only took the Ambien 1 night (my husband said that sat up in bed staring straight ahead.....he said it was very creepy). So instead I took 10mg of Melatonin. I struggled with muscle spasms so on post op 1wk and 1 day I asked for muscle relaxers (they gave me Robaxin 3 times a day and boy what a life saver). The feeling is slowly returning, but with more of a pins and needles feeling. My breast are so sensitive to touch. At 1 wk post op I was given the ok to sleep however was most comfortable. Side sleeping is a little difficult, it's a little rough because of the pressure. I bought a 36D sports bra, but I think its too tight, its squeezing the life out of me. Updated on 3 Jun 2015: Updated on 24 Dec 2015: This has been one of the best decisions for me. I am so much more confident and comfortable with my body. My breast are awesome. I still have occasional sharp pains if I over exert myself, but they are minor. My feeling has pretty much completely returned, I just have a few small tingly spots. I'm not as happy with my scars as I was hoping, but even with all of that I works change my decision. Oh by the way, boo greed is real.
I have been wanting a breast augmentation for 4 years now currently I am 34B I weigh 143 and am 5'5''. Trying to decide on a doc and finish saving up my money. I have around 1400 dollars saved up and plan on having the rest by the end of may2013. I have been completely obsessing over this for the past week, my husband thinks my obsession is getting a bit annoying, but he supports me in my decision so it is all good. I am also a hairdresser from the Birmingham, al area. Any thoughts or comments I'm looking to go for a 34DD anyone know how many CCs I will possibly need and could recommend a wonderful PS in this area?Updated on 7 Feb 2013:I'm completely obsessing over this surgery, especially money since I don't have all my funds yet, ready to get to that point because I'm ready for my new boobies!Updated on 13 Feb 2013:Ok so I am putting money back like a mad woman! Lol and I have scheduled my consultation with Dr Peter van hoy! My visit is gonna be this coming tues at 11:30! So excited to get this ball rolling what kind of questions should I ask him?Updated on 18 Feb 2013:So tomorrow is my consultation so excited! Any advice in questions to ask?Updated on 20 Feb 2013:Ok so I went to my consultation appointment yesterday and he thinks I'm gonna need a crescent lift as well. I don't think that will be necessary but decided to take some pics and see what you guys think, let me know y'all's opinion.
I had saline implants put in. They look good. But began to leak. When I went in for the follow up. He was awful. He is arrogant. He does not listen to you. He gives his opinion, with no regard to what you asked for. Or want. He's degrading. And I'm disappointed in his bedside manner. Completely. He was very rude. And completely dismissed my requests.
First I want to thank all of you who have posted your stories, it has helped me tremendously! I am one week pre op and panicking about size. I am so skinny and concerned I won't look right. I tried on sizers and decided on 345 cc mod silicone but now after looking at pictures wondering if it is too big? Updated on 28 Jun 2017: So size consumed me but I finally went with the 345 and they are perfect for my small frame. They can be covered when I want them to be or look amazing when I want them out. They still have some dropping to do but I love them even before fluffing. I possible have a hematoma so that is stressing me out but I called my nurse and she said it could be a pocket where the local anesthesia was placed. I am 6 hours away so I am calling a local PS and seeif I can pay them to tell me what it is so if it is a hematoma I can have my husband drive me back to get things fixed. Cross fingers I find a PS willing to do that.
