After doing various searches I came across Dr. Guerette's profile and immediately called to make an appointment. Everyone in the practice were really sweet and manner able. The office reminds you of a spa which I loved, especially consulting about something so invasive. I decided to go with Dr. Guerette to fulfill my vaginoplasty procedure and I AM BEYOND HAPPY I DID. I feel so confident and sexy. After delivering 4 babies things begin to look and feel a little different. My husband loves the outcome as much as I do! Thank you Dr. Guerette for helping restore that self confidence.
Let me just start of by saying I have had 2 children both vaginally weighing 8-9 Lbs each. They are now 11 and 14. My husband and I still have sex; however I lacked confidence due to the feeling of looseness. I have had thermiva, o-shot, votiva and have used wands and have done probably over a million kegals. I have noticed it was only a temporary solution and costed me thousands of dollars. I was so sick of trying new treatments to only be disappointed in the end. Well I started googling other options again and found Dr. Gurette who is a dohble board certified urogynocologist that specializes in the pelvic floor as well as other urinary Conditions. I figured what the heck might as well make and appointment. I had a consultation and went through a series of tests determining I had prolapse stage 4 and would benefit from a vaginoplasty. Well this was not cheap; however the prolapse would be covered under my insurance but the vaginoplasty was cosmetic so it was not covered. Again I am desperate at this point and the entire staff stated they have had it done and loved it. They call it the Gurette special which I thought was cute. I would have to undergo 1 hospital stay locally overnight and be sent home the next day. Well I decided you only live once so I paid the fees and scheduled. I was in a lot of pain post-op and was required to take off 6 weeks from work including refraining from sex. Trust me it was very hard and my husband was hard lol too while lying in tnr bed with me so it sucked. We couldn't even do oral sex due to the possibility of infection. So let's just say I pleased him lol but I had to wait. After 2 office visits during the 6 week period I was cleared to have sex. I will admit for thr first couple of weeks it was very painful due to my vagina being so tight. Ladies let me tell you I felt like a Virgin again. My husband on the other hand loved it. He couldn't even enter me and stay for 2 minutes without climaxing. So it's been about 4 months and we have been going at it like animals. I do not have the gaping hole due to being sewed at least 2 inches in my peri area. I literally have a hard time sticking my finger inside myself. And let me tell you I no longer have leakage and my stomach is not so bloated due to him fixing the prolapse. Everything is nice and tight and right. Ladies if you have had kids and your sex life is not pleasurable, feeling less confident or your marriage is stale, trust me get it done. I think this procedure saved my marriage. I'm so happy. I feel so sexy and now we have time for 4 play and can enjoy each other more. He can't keep his hands off me. I feel so blessed. I’m 27 , I have 3 children with my youngest at 8 weeks old . After I had my son , I noticed I had suffered from pelvic prolapse , it wasn’t bad but it bothered me so I researched and found this doctor . So far everything has been great , I went in for an appointment and ended up scheduling for surgery to fix the prolapse and also a vaginoplasty to tighten things up a bit . I have already been for surgery and I’m 9 days post op right now , so far so good . I have been in some pain but it’s not too horrible like the first night and next day . So far everything looks good , but I did notice something where I was cut on by butt hole , but I called the nurse and she said it will go away , so we shall see . It is hard to go number two , it does hurt some I think where the bump is but I’m deff still healing after 9 days so I will keep you updated :) Updated on 14 Feb 2019: 2 weeks and 3 days after surgery now , and no pain . The last couple days have been painful at night but I was prescribed tramodol and it worked . I’m now not needing anything . So far a good experience from Dr. Gurette , Valencia , the nurse practitioner, and Ryan . They all are very happy and welcoming people , they made me feel very comfortable to be there . Cara , didn’t make me feel welcome at all . I’ve never felt like that going to any doctors office ... She was nice the first visit I had met her but she just seems to have an attitude after I went back the second and third time . I asked for medicine for the pain as they were supposed to have a prescription at the front I had asked for 2 weeks prior (I know it had been a while) as I live an hour and half away and I wasn’t able to get anyone to drive that to grab it . As I said , at night I had pain and would be horrible when I coughed , so I had called on a Thursday and spoke to Cara and asked if the prescription was still there explaining the pain I was experiencing and she assured me it was but wasn’t the following Monday I went in , I was informed it was shredded . Then she explained to me I shouldn’t be in any pain at 2 weeks after , when I clearly had said I was at night especially when I coughed , considering I had a cough . (Felt like my stitches were going to bust open when I did cough) I found that unprofessionally to basically tell me I wasn’t in pain and came out giving me the prescription of tramodol in which , did the trick ! I’m not one to complain at all , but even before this , the same day , and the times before I had went to appointments , she just doesn’t have a pleasant welcoming attitude you’d expect one to have working in that type of doctors office . Also , I had called one time worried and concerned about things going on (turned out to be normal) and I know I had kept Cara on the phone worried but she goes to hang up and I said hold on hold on and I hear row seperate people including herself start laughing ... That one actually hurt my feelings and embarrassed me as I had surgery a week and 5 days before ... Like I said , Dr . Guerette , Ryan , Valencia , and the nurse practitioner are amazing .
Dr Gurette is very popular and after being referred to him for a complete pelvic prolapse (cystocele, rectocele and enterocele). I had the pelvic floor restoration surgery, now I have normal bladder function, no more leaks. While waiting in the exam room, you can hear the women in the hallway thanking him profusely and getting hugs. He remodeled the area between my vagina and anus, which has made sex very tight. I may get the Diva laser to address some dryness. Overall a great experience.
I have been seeing Dr. Guerette for years for pelvic floor therapy and sexual dysfunction. Being a cancer survivor I have not had sex with my husband. After receiving my 3rd diva treatment, it has changed my life. I am no longer suffering from pain. Dr. Guerette and his staff are extremely professional and I owe them my life. Thank you!
Ever since my teens, my labia minora has been asymmetrical with one side severely longer than the other. It has been bothering me for several years, especially after my 4th child. I've always had issues mountain biking, wearing swimsuits and tight fit leggings and jeans. After visiting Dr. Nathan Guerette in Richmond, VA, he gave me the confidence to have the labiaplasty procedure. It only took 2 weeks of downtime with just Tylenol. He also included this laser treatment to help tighten the inside, which only took 5 minutes and was painless. I honestly feel like a new woman. Clothes and exercising are more comfortable and I now have the confidence to be more intimate with my husband. I wish I had before and afters pictures!
I've been suffering from incontinence for several years. I was extremely nervous bringing up my issues to my gynecologist due to all the mesh warnings on the news. Then a few months ago my GF recommended I see, Dr. Guerette, a uro/gyn in Richmond, VA. He informed me of a non-surgical and non-invasive treatment called thermiva. I recently finished my 3rd treatment and haven't peed after sneezing, coughing, laughing or jumping in months!!! This has been a life saver. NO MORE PADS OR PANTILINERS LADIES!!!!!
I have been seeing Dr. Guerette in Richmond, VA for pelvic floor therapy for many years after I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My husband and I have not had intercourse since. Sex has been so painful to the point where I would bleed. I was truly giving up on life, until he offered me a new option called diva. I am blown away with my overall improvement after my 3rd treatment. It was fast and painless. I can now have intercourse without pain or suffering. Any women having the same symptoms please consider diva. It will change your life!
It is probably best to wait to have a labiaplasty until after childbearing if you are close to that point. The hormones and birth itself can cause substantial changes. There are other options however. We can use laser and RF devices to tighten and sculpt the tissue without surgery or downtime. This can make a huge difference and improve your confidence and function until you are done with kids.
Ashley, First, be confident in yourself. There are numerous options to tighten the vagina. A specialty center such as mine should have most. Increasing muscle tone can help quite a bit. Therapy for this includes kegel exercises or Emsella that uses HIFEM technology to strengthen the muscles. Lasers and radio frequency treatments tighten the skin and connective tissue. These treatments are painless and have no downtime. If you want more change a Vaginoplasty is the gold standard. In the right hands its a safe, office-based procedure with amazing results.
Vaginoplasty is a quality-of-life procedure. It is not about need. It's about want. Large vaginal deliveries can frequent cause damage to the muscles, nerves and connective tissue in the the vagina and lead to laxity with sex as well as other issues. If this is causing issues for you and/or your partner a vaginoplasty will correct the issue. Vaginoplasty is safe and very effective in the right hands and can be done in an office surgery suite.
Vaginoplasty is very safe and successful in the right hands. The procedure can be performed in an office-based procedure room as an outpatient procedure. The outcomes are excellent as long as you see a surgeon with extensive experience.
So sorry to hear about your trauma and your lack of support. Vaginal tightening is possible . Depending of the degree you desire non-surgical options such as radio-frequency can tighten the issue or it can be done with a simple outpatient surgery for more substantial results. Hopefully you also have someone you can talk to.
