I might have gone a little big, but I don't really mind. My breasts were perfect for implants, symmetrical and plenty of skin. I can't tell if I have a slight capsular contraction 7 months later (one is slightly higher, but soft and malleable) or if the pocket needed a bit more dissection. Since Avalon closed three months after my surgery, I'm kind of screwed, haven't had a second follow up. Made an appointment with another Tacoma doc who will probably charge me for the revision Avalon would have done for free. A little stressed. But over all happy to fill out my DD's!!!
Dr goldflies is very nice so patiently and answer all my questions before my surgery so I decide to go saline with trough the armpit my results are ok. My only concern know is the clinic where I had my surgery done is close I'm 6 weeks post and I didn't see my doctor any more. ???? so I have to schedule a new appointment that I had today but 9/15/15 im very disappointed with the doctor he did not expend more that 5 minutes with me, he was on a hurry and ask to comeback in 6 months ????????????????????????
I got implants when i was 20. I decided to get them done to boost my confidence and my income (i work in the adult industry). I researched and consulted with ALOT of Dr.s before choosing goldflies. I first heard about him of realself. The consultation was completely comfortable. Dr goldflies is funny and knowledgable. The whole staff is fabulous. My implants look great. Everyone i meet has to ask if theyre real or not. I went with saline unders armpit incision and you cant even see the incisions they healed so well. Ill definitely be going back to him soon to get the silicone "gummy bear" implants since im old enough to get them.
I had previous breast augmentation and lift with a different Dr in Lynnwood. They turned out terrible and wanted them fixed. I went to the Avalon Clinic to meet with Dr. Goldflies. He was so sincere and understanding and very honest. He has a great sense of humor which immediately relaxed me. My breast look amazing now. Wish I would have researched a little more with friends the first time around. I can guarantee I wouldn't have needed them fixed. But if you ever need reconstruction surgery he is a great candidate to do it. Thank you so much.
After having lost a significant amount of weight and reaching a plateau that left me with a muffin top, love handles, and lots of saggy skin, I decided to take a different tact to reaching my ultimate goal. I scheduled three consults with three different docs - Dr. G being the first on my list and recommended as a specialist in post weigh-loss surgeries. He immediately put me at ease with his ability to empathize with my situation and gained my trust by explaining exactly what was possible and how we could go about achieving it. We decided upon liposuction followed by abdominoplasty. I scheduled my first phase that very day and had surgery 10 days later. I'm thrilled with the results of the lipo: Dr. G did 5 areas (both love handles, both sides of roll and lower abdomen) and my muffin top and love handles are gone. I'm almost 6 weeks post-op and I look and feel great. I started getting comments the first week post lipo - and I was still swollen from the procedure! I'm now scheduled for phase two - the removal of all that skin and tightening of abdominal muscles.
I had cellulite for years, at age 35 I decided to go get it and the extra weight I gained after a miscarriage back in 2005. I went to Dr. Myles Goldflies in Myrtle Beach,Sc for my Breast Aug(under the arm pit insertion). Pre-Op I wore a size 11/13, Post-Op 6 weeks later, I'am proud to be wearing a 7! Updated on 1 Sep 2012: I had my Breast Augmentation 3 months prior to Smart Lipo Body Sculpting.......I had the following areas done, stomach, flanks/love handles, inner/outer thighs and knees.Okay girls!!! Smart Lipo is so worth it Please Read!! The SmartLipo laser-assisted lipolysis system is a highly efficacious solution for destroying and permanently eliminating fat cells! After lipo, the sculpting of the body is done. My Doc, he sculpted my natural curves, & all the places he removed 4 LITERS OF FAT!!! Some Info about Smart Lipo for everyone interested in getting it!!! I was asleep for this surgery a total of 2 Hours (my breast Aug was only 45 min) When I woke up, I had a compression garment on, I was very sore. I can tell you its a feeling as if you over worked your body at the gym. I also felt hot sharp pains. Honestly, my breast augmentation(616cc Aug) hurt more than this surgery, just an FYI for multiple procedure patients as myself. I've been wearing the garment six weeks, and will continue to wear it after, several weeks, depending on the body area being treated. Rest is recommended after the procedure and activity may be resumed gradually. Refrain from hot tubs or strenuous exercise for 2 weeks. Im using weights at 6 weeks, I feel back to normal. My surgeon did my surgery the following way.a laser fiber through a small tube (cannula), delivering energy directly to cutaneous fat cells-causing them to rupture. The emitted fat melting energy also coagulates tissue, thus inducing collagen retraction and tissue tightening. The laser causes small blood vessels to coagulate immediately—resulting in less bleeding, swelling and bruising than conventional liposuction, for faster healing and recovery. Smartlipo can supplement or augment traditional methods of cellulite treatment. Given the tube’s small size and gentleness of the procedure, Smartlipo is a minimally invasive treatment that only requires local anesthesia—enhancing client safety and reducing the likelihood of side effects. Typically only one short treatment session is needed and the patients are ready to go home. When I went home, I took my pain med and had to wear compressed socks up to my knees, my garment, have my feet elevated, and take small walks 3-5 times a day. I have 2 dogs, so I had exercise just from that, dont over do it! I over did it one day shopping for knew clothing 5 days after lipo, and my legs/feet,calves where swollen so bad....Be careful.. Updated on 1 Sep 2012: Pro's: I was back at work 5 days later, I look amazing! Feel healthier, Im still on a low carb diet, and daily Pilates exercising. Cons:Compression garment takes time getting used to. After 6 weeks, it feels part of my skin and body. Personal Goals: To finally after 6 years wear daisy duke shorts! (I have 8 pairs now) Im a promotional model, my goal is to back in a size 4/5, I wear right now depending on the designer a size 6-9. How my life has Changed: I feel so much more better about my body, I actually like looking at myself in the mirror, dressed/undressed. I've gotten more modeling jobs than ever! I do feel females friends now are treating me different, and the male friends they love it! What I wished Of new beforehand: I wish honestly I'd of asked more questions at the Doctor Pre Op appointment.
I had my smartlipo today around 11 this morning.I Feel o.k.at times but other times I wonder where the semi-truck went that hit me lol.I was put under general because I had so many areas done and the doctor thought it would be best.I had the abs, inner and outer thighs, flanks, hips, and he even did the fold under my booty.I was really nervous when I got there because I have never been under general. That was my main concern at that moment and I had a really great nurse who assured me that everything would be fine. I got to the pre-op room and they had me change in the gown and awesome paper undies lol.The doctor took pictures and and made his marks.I was really surprised at how big his marks were and got really excited because he was taking out more than I thought.I was also surprised about when he said he was going to o the fold under my cheeks.I joked and told him he could mark my whole butt also lol. After he got done marking me he asked if I wanted to go look in the mirror and make sure it was what I wanted. I told him that I trusted his expertise. He left and the nurse got my I.V. in place and started my drip. The nurse and I walked to the Surgery room where I got completely nekkid and she scrubbed me down with betadine which was freaking cold lol.I layed down on the table and the anethesiologist put a syringe with some good stuff in my I.V. and it literally 12 seconds I was out and don't remember and thing until I woke up.I don't know exactly how much time it took but to me it only felt like 5 minutes. The nurse had me wait in the recovery area for 45 minutes until I felt well enough to go.I brought a pair I loose pants and a big shirt and she helped me get dressed. My throat was sore from the breathing tube so she brought me a gingerale.I felt nauseous when I sat up so she gave me a bed pan to take with me and some alcohol pads(she said to smell them when I felt nauseous and they would help and they did). They wheeled me out to my car where my hubby was waiting. My hubby apparently fell asleep in the car and they tried to call him and couldn't get a hold of him so one of the nurses had to go out there and wake him up lol. We left and went by to get my pain meds and antibiotic.I threw up once on the way home but felt much better after wards even though it hurt.I can deal with pain fine but the minute I feel nauseous I flipping hate it.So as of right now I am laying here eating some crackers and drinking water.I did take a pain pill and an antibiotic pill and had a short nap.My oldest daughter has been great and helping me a lot(she is 11) Bringing me what ever I need. As far as pain right now I so agree with everyone else when they say it is not something that you can run in,get it done, and go about your day like nothing happened.I don't want to discourage or scare anyone who is getting it done but I have a high tolerance for pain and on a scale of 1-10 it is around an 8 or 9 for me.I am feeling a bit better than I was earlier so that is a plus.I will try and update everyday and as soon as I can take the garment off I ill post pics.I didn't get any before pics but I am going to see if the doctor will email the ones he took. Updated on 25 Apr 2011: Well today I am 5 days out.I am feel much better than the 2nd day of course.I can tell some of the swelling is starting to go down.I can see a difference in my body at times and some times I think that it didn't work at all.I just keep reminding myself that I am still swollen and it will be at least 3 months before I get anywhere close to what my final results will be.I have to be patient no matter how hard it is.I only have pain when I stand for long periods of time or sit for long periods. The compression garment will go for a little loose to tight at times.I still have problems with sitting n the toilet because it presses where I had lipo on my thighs.Other than that I feel fine.I kind of wish that I would have gotten this done during the winter because the garment is super hot lol.It also goes past my knees so I look really weird in shorts.I am going to ask the doctor at my Post op appointment if I can get a shorter one.The bruising is starting to go away and my wounds are almost completely healed.Well that is my update for now I will update after my Post op Appt.
I've been batteling with my body ever since I could remember and finally decided this was the only way to start my new journery to finally be at peace with my body. I've gained weight, and I've lost it. But I could never achieve the look I desired. Well I finally came to a point in my life where I could afford to do this for me, mentally, financially and situationally. I'm still in my post op stages and I'm very excited for the final outcome. I'm glad I didn't let my fear get the best of me and went thru with it! As the swelling goes down I'm starting to see results, and they are looking better than I had anticipated! The pain was about what I expected, but the recovery was a little unexpected. There are still things happeing to my body that I am not sure are normal, that is why I am so glad I found this page, so I can share my experiances and hear about other peoples so I don't feel so alone! So I hope I make connections wih others in similar situations so we can help eachother :) Updated on 2 Oct 2012: 2marows my post op visit, I hope the doc. Says all is well. Uhg I feel like dog turds 2day & look like hell 2! I've got dark circles under my eyes and look very pale. I ache a little, I mostly feel like I'm on fire lol, nerves growing back I suppose. The bruising and swelling is going away, yay! My biggest concern is becoming addicted to my pain meds! :( my husband snapps at me when I don't take them, but when I don't I hurt, but I heard oxys are addictive so I try to only take them when I really really hurt! Well we'll see how my post op goes, maybe it'll be picture time :) hopefully soon can't w8 2 c results! Updated on 4 Oct 2012: Uhhhg! My husbands being an unbelieveable jerk! I hurt & ache, and yes I know that is normal cuz I'm healing! Then he mocks me and tells me, awe, do you need to be caudled? When all I need is just some understanding! I'm completely off my pain meds and this is my first night of just plain tylenol! :( I can't move very fast, but I'm trying! I'm going for walks and trying to be me again :( I know I made the descion to have this done so I don't expect to be felt sorry for, all I ask for is just a little comfort! :( if I had one wish it would be for the rest of you ladies who've had this done, to have some comfort, caring, and support :( I knw this is gonna be a long lonely, achey night. Sleep well all :( Updated on 8 Oct 2012: Yay! I was FINALLY able to keep some food down 2day :) I had grilled chicken wraps & they were very tastey! I'm super happy :) Updated on 19 Oct 2012: Well 2day I took my week 3 pitures and feel absolutely defeated :( I seem to have gone back to the way I looked in my week 1 pix! Except with hardley any bruising! I wish I could find a way to post my pixs so I could get opinions! I don't think I have swelling, I look EXSACTLY the same!!!! I am trying to understand and have the paitience required but I don't even see a little difference! I think when I go back and see my dr. For my 2nd post op visit I am gonna MAKE HIM look at me without my garment this time so he could explain to me why I look EXSACTLY the same. I. Just thought I wasn't suppose to be getting fatter, but I must be, if I look like my week 1 pix and I'm on week 3!!! Updated on 19 Oct 2012: ah ha, i figured out how to upload pix, please give me input/opinions.... i think i look relativaly the same :( be honest Updated on 26 Oct 2012: Yeah, I'm officially pissed >:{ don't waste your money unless you have a train wreck of a belly and you would notice a HUGE difference getting it done. The pain versus the result is NOT worth it. The only improvement I see is I'm not bruised anymore...well I wasn't "bruised" to begin with! My size, texture, shape and rolls are exsactly the same! I wish I wasn't dumb enough to buy into the hype of "noticeable improvement", I guess it was an exspensive lesson well learned. So dissappointed :( Updated on 25 Feb 2013: Soooo terribly disappointed :( its almost been 6 months and I don't see any results! I know it takes a full year to see final results, but the only thing I see is my bruising is finally gone. My boobs gone up a cup size and my butt has gotten bigger, and if I'm not absolutly careful on my diet my face get fat from time to time! My pants fit the same! I've still got belly bulge(which is why I had the surgery int the first place!) And still feel self-conscience naked :( i was hoping to finally be able to wear a 2 piece swim suit this summer, but I doubt my results will allow it :( when I sit down I still have love handles and a bag of gut that sits on my lap! So what the heck did my doctor take out?! I really hope I start seeing some kind of results close to what my doctor and I discussed or I'm going to get very angry!!! >:{ Updated on 2 Jul 2013: well all, its been 10 months since my surgery and needless to say I am horribly disappointed. I look THE SAME! I only had one glimmer of hope and that was week 2 that I may come out of this with a new out look on me. I still try to cover my love handles (which were so bruised and soar after the surgery) and my pooch (which barely looked touched) and my back fat when I wear a bra ( which was puffy and soar after surgery) I want to be pissed, but i just feel defeated. I paid for nothing. The only thing now is my face puts on a ton of weight and my breast are king size so i have to wear a DD now. Since the surgery I have had low blood sugar issues and heart arrythmias . Definately not worth the money the pain and the disappointment.
I am 31 years old. 5'7", 130lbs, 10% body fat (very little natural breast tissue). In March, I went in for an implant exchange. I had saline high profile 420cc (approximately) submuscular. I was unhappy with my shape, and also wanted to go a bit bigger. The shape I was looking to have was to have more side boob. I truly hated the way my breasts looked from the side. My original implants were done well; I had no CC, no bottoming out, no lopsided or unevenness, a tiny bit of rippling (which is to be expected with saline, I am told). The cleavage was fine, they didn't touch; there was about a two finger space between them, but I was fine with that. Though they looked "fake", they didn't look like round balls attached to my ribcage. So when I went in for my exchange with the following requests: bigger size, more side boob, and I was satisfied with my cleavage. My new doctor suggested going with high profile saline again since I had good luck with them the first time. He said since I wanted a larger size, the width would be bigger anyways. We decided on 700cc. My current implants are mentor high profile saline 630 filled to 700cc submuscular. It's been 3 months and I've hated them everyday. Again, I've had no complications whatsoever. But I hate the placement and shape. Instead of the implants creating more fullness on the outsides like I wanted, I now have all the fullness in the cleavage area. If I look down at my cleavage, it looks like they are three inches thick on the cleavage side and about an inch thick on the outerboob side. I now have virtually no hourglass silhouette shape. My silhouette looks straight around my ribcage, almost like I have no boobs at all. But when I turn to the side, there they are! The doctor who performed the surgery is no longer with the practice, so I've been discussing a revision with another dr in the practice. He is suggesting sientra cohesive gel textured shaped oval base in the 700cc to achieve the width and projection I desire. I'm a little hesitant since I'm having trouble finding before and afters with an oval implant. I'm just so unsure of what to do at this point, all I know is that I am so unhappy with what I have right now. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated! Updated on 10 Apr 2015: It's been awhile since I've updated this. Some of you have questions, feedback and many helpful suggestions for me. So thank you to each and everyone of you. I will be writing a separate review for my newest BA, crediting the surgeon I used for the fix. Yes, I redid them. TWO in one year! But I am so very happy with my new results! I went with 800CC Silicone Gel and I love love love them!
Horrible outcome, left my nose crooked, dented, cartilage sticking out, hanging columella, bulbous and overall just ugly. I have hated my nose for two years now. Dr Miles Goldflies did not deliver a good result. Updated on 7 Oct 2022:
I believe this can be improved. Although I am basing this on your single picture, it appears you will need the nostril shape adjusted at the skin/lining level, cartilage graft into the tip to make more symmetry at the domes and lateral crura, and you may even need some soft tissue augmentation at the right alar base if that cheek is flatter so the alar base is sitting relatively sunken in compared to the left side. Your nostril sills may also need better symmetry to give an overall more symmetrical appearance.
Simple answer: not in this lifetime. It appears you have relatively thick skin of your nose, especially in the tip. When this is the case, even overcompensating while modifying your framework won't show externally because of your skin texture. Secondary skin resurfacing could be disastrous if that was attempted soon after a revision rhinoplasty in an attempt to improve skin texture. You said the first picture is "prior to previous nose surgery 5 years ago," but you don't have a picture of the result of that surgery, which may also effect this decision based on that result.
I have always drained these, no matter how "dry" they look at the end of surgery. I have always been impressed by how much drainage there is and how it tends not to start for a few days and may continue for weeks, even though I have always been light on the cautery during surgery so had less damage to the remaining tissues. The risk of a seroma becoming a secondary infection far outweighs any risk of infection from a drain. And by the way, capsule thickness has no correlation with toughness. Often it is the opposite where a thicker capsule can be softer. If you are being replaced, you would want drainage for a time instead of dealing with a seroma around new implants.
As far as postoperative swelling, you should have peaked 3-5 days after surgery, so that stretching already happened. What you have by now will still remodel, but the size won't really change much. Change out any time; it sounds as if you didn't get what you asked for. Speak up to your surgeon, who may not realize your disdain. Did you pick the size or were you told what size to get without your input??
I recall from training days when the anchor was the only procedure where a significant lift or reduction was required. Actually, everything except the smallest degree of lift was done as an anchor in those days, and many will still use this THESE days. We were instructed to tell our patients, "you're trading one deformity for another. You're trading scars for your preop condition, and the scars could be bad!" Frankly, I don't know why anyone would consent to THAT. The word "perky" was never allowed. The results of most anchors was a higher and/or smaller version of preop, definitely not perky. I have found after doing verticals for a few decades, perky can be realized again with this approach. And an extra benefit has been the lack of any change in nipple sensation via this technique, no areolar loss, and improved sensation in some cases. I doubt any lift procedure would give you what you seek if the breast tissues aren't shaped during surgery. As far as a single procedure, I don't see any reason it couldn't all be done together. I've done a vertical reduction with capsulectomy/removal of implant material that was submuscular and ruptured in a 70+ year old with a completely uneventful recovery.
