The best Drs and PAs ever! I have seen Dr. Mohiba Tareen, Kelsey Strub PA-C, and Haley Rogers PA-C and love them all. Dr. Tareen does my Dysport injections, and I always love my results! I have seen all three providers for full-body skin exams and feel so well taken care of. I have a history of Melanoma skin cancer, and I know they have my best interest in mind. I highly recommend it to friends, family, and anyone wanting an excellent dermatologist.
Tareen Dematology staff are top notch! They go above and beyond in customer service. Erin Finney and Joan Hunt make every visit a pleasurable one, from the friendly smile when you walk in the door to the email updates with appointments and insurance information. Our family has been seeing Tareen for years, we could not be happier!
This is the best and patient friendly clinic I have ever been to. They are great in diagnosing what the problem is and following through with the treatment. I will gain about 50pds if she keeps feeding me desert after surgery visits. Great experience.
I had an exceptional experience at Dr. Tareen's office. The staff was very friendly and quick to check me in and take me to the exam room (in less than 10 minutes of my arrival). The waiting room was very clean with comfortable chairs and plenty of reading material. My microdermabrasion treatment was excellent and has left my skin renewed and glowing my days. Highly Recommended! Wouldn't consider anyone else in the area at all!
I have a couple forehead creases that have bothered me for many years. I never wear my hair off my forehead for this reason. Finally I got up the nerve to ask my dermatologist about options and chose Dysport. I love the results so far and am only 1 day post-treatment. I am a huge wimp and there was minimal pain from the injections since they used a good topical anesthetic. I have had a minor headache off and on since yesterday but nothing I felt like I had to treat. If tomorrow yields similar improvement I will be very very happy. No problems with drooping or Spock brows either. Can't wait to see what 2 weeks looks like!
First time getting any filler. Got it injected in my smile lines and a little bit where my cheeks have flattened out and in my clouds bow on the upper lip. So excited and it wasn't bad at all. I was very nervous just as I was getting Dysport for the first time. I had numbing cream applied. The cheeks weren't so bad but the lips were painful, like a stinging sensation. It's iver so quick that it's no big deal and the results are seen right away. Updated on 10 Dec 2015: Last night (day of injection) my top lip was pretty sore and swollen and I thought it would be worse today but it's a lot better! No pain at all just a little swollen today and small bruising. The few places where she injected my face have slight swlling, no bruising, and no pain. And the smile line I was concerned with is gone!! Updated on 11 Dec 2015: Slight bruising still on upper lip but going away and nothing that would make me not do it again! Updated on 14 Dec 2015: Don't mind no makeup and crazy hair. Just wanted to update. No swelling and loving the filler I got. Updated on 15 Dec 2015: Restylane and Dysport 6 days post Updated on 23 Dec 2015: I had a small amount left to bring with me to my 2 week check and do a touch up. My dr put it in my smile line that wasn't quite filled out enough. No numbing was needed, didn't hardly even feel it!
I had my first laser hair removal session yesterday with Rachel at Tareen Dermatology. I've never had lasers of any kind so I was nervous. I paid for 9 treatments and will also be doing my underarms and bikini area. I honestly thought it would be more painful, I didnt use any numbing cream. The most sensitive areas were the lower shin/ ankle area and the big toes. But it was so fast. Now I have to wait 8 weeks to go back for my second treatment and to start the other areas. Updated on 4 Feb 2015: I was mistaken and put my review under gentlelase. Not sure what that is but the laser that was used was the Candela Gentlemax Updated on 23 Dec 2015: I've had about 6-7 treatments on my legs, underarms, and bikini (Brazilian). Best decision ever. Next I plan on doing my little 'stache I have going on ;).
I had developed a little melasma around my eyes and upper lip during the pregnancy of my third child. It didn't go away. This was my second Mini Melanage peel. I will continue getting this peel once or twice a year for maintenance. The before picture was also before my Dysport for crows feet. The picture after is after my first time doing Dysport for the crows feet. Since the after picture I have gotten 10 more units of Dysport and will update on my other review when it starts working.
I started to see some lines in the crowd feet area when I smiled and really wanted to try botox. The dermatologist I went to is a top doctor and only uses Dysport and had great things to say about it. I was very nervous and went in to do a test spot. Came back in two weeks later for 20 units of Dysport around each eye. I've had a headache off and on, okay its been one week and one day. I can definitely see a difference and could start seein a difference on about day 3. The only negative is the headache but I get headaches a lot so it's hard to tell if it's from the injections. No bruising, no pain. Updated on 6 Feb 2015: Dr Tareen put another 10 units of Dysport in for a total of 50 units for crows feet. I am now 4 days post injection of the last 10 units and absolutely loving it. Why doesn't everyone use this stuff?!! Seriously amazing. Updated on 5 May 2015: Just got second treatment of dysport. I got 50 units in my crows feet. Love the results. Started seeing changes after 3 days, works super fast. Updated on 9 Dec 2015: The Dysport seems to last a little over 3 month for me until I really start noticing that I need it. Updated on 11 Dec 2015: Just to show the progression Updated on 14 Dec 2015: Just wanted to update my progress Updated on 23 Dec 2015: So happy with the crows feet area treatment. Seriously the best thing ever!
I've been going to the most popular cosmetic dermatologist in the Twin Cities area for a few years, taking a "go slow and subtle" approach with small amounts of Botox and filler. But when I wanted to address some loss of volume in the cheeks and under the eyes, his work was a bit crude, resulting in too much volume crowded into the center/lower face area even though I was crystal clear I didn't want that. Now that the misplaced filler is mostly subsided, I decided to try Dr. Tareen. She's done a great job placing the tiniest amounts exactly where they should go! She's very careful, communicates clearly, and her staff is fantastic. Their preparatory interviews really add to the final result because of their expertise and professionalism.
Dr Tareen and her colleagues require an initial consultation to first discuss various techniques for removing the mole. The cost for the initial consultation is the office visit code 99203 (new patient office visit). Please check with your insurance the out-of-pocket fee that you may have for this code. If you do not have insurance, the cost for the consultation is $275. We cannot provide any other estimates of cost without examining the mole. Some moles are deep and require surgical removal (which can cost in the thousands) while some are superficial and require a mere shave technique (which can cost in the low hundreds). All moles are sent for pathology at Tareen Dermatology. Fortunately, Dr Tareen accepts some private medical insurances.

Restylane costs $595 per syringe. Silk and Perlane (Restlane Lift) are $650 per syringe. I personally perform the injections utilizing a combination of science and artistry. My pledge to all of my patients is to make you younger, softer, better yet natural.
Restylane can be virtually painless! In my office we use 3 techniques for all patients- topical numbing cream, ice during the treatment, and also mix in extra lidocaine (numbing medicine) into the syringe. This makes our fillers very comfortable. I can attest myself- I have treated myself with the above 3 numbing techniques and have also just had Restylane without the numbing and it makes a big difference! Restylane is so soft and natural - it is wonderful that it can also be very comfortable!
Scientific studies and dermatologists/ plastic surgeons unanimously agree that the most effective laser for resurfacing is a CO2 laser. CO2 describes that the target of the laser is the water (and by corollary the collagen) in the deeper part of the skin (the dermis). Many companies make CO2 lasers so they have different names. For instance, the technology I use is an Alma CO2. At my former practice we had a Fraxel CO2. Thus, just insure that the "type" of laser is CO2. CO2 is the best for laser resurfacing but is accompanied by downtime. I have done 2 CO2 treatments on my acne scars and had redness and peeling x approximately 5 days. It was worth it each time though.I have truly never had a patient who has done CO2 with me as a doctor that has been unhappy. As long as the downtime is adequately discussed, CO2 consistently gives amazing results!
