I had developed a little melasma around my eyes...

WORTH IT$475
I had developed a little melasma around my eyes and upper lip during the pregnancy of my third child. It didn't go away. This was my second Mini Melanage peel. I will continue getting this peel once or twice a year for maintenance. The before picture was also before my Dysport for crows feet. The picture after is after my first time doing Dysport for the crows feet. Since the after picture I have gotten 10 more units of Dysport and will update on my other review when it starts working.

How was the healing process after the peel?  You look great!

There was no down time, a little redness the first day. Then peeling/flaking after for a little under a week. I'm still using the Melanage 2 cream so I have a little dryness every once and a while.

That sounds so amazing/easy!  Was the peeling mild or was it really obvious and flakey?

The first time I had it, the peeling was pretty bad and brownish. Probably taking away years of my unhealthy tanning sun damage. This last time it peeled a lot but there was never a day I couldn't go out or anything like that. I've never had any other peels and really don't see the need for them now!

That is so interesting- thanks for the info.

Hi! It's called a mini melanage peel!

Hi mnmommy, Can you provide an update since your last post? Are you still using the melange 2 cream? Are you using anything else? Do you feel that the peel helped your overall skin tone as well as your melasma?

I will post a picture tomorrow. I love this peel. It's was the second one I've head, the last was in August . I'm still using the melanage 2 cream and my dermatologist actually suggested me keep using it because it has more that a retinol cream would but still has retinol. It's helped immensely.

Thanks much! Also, do you know what ingredients are in the Melanage 2 cream and can you only obtain it from your derm? I tried to find info online but coultn't.

Also, is there a difference between the Mini Melange peel and just a Melange peel?
March 5, 2015
The regular melanage peel is more intense, I haven't gotten that one done because the minis have been enough for me. I'm thinking there might be more intense peeling and redness with the regular melanage.

I believe it's vitamin A, or retinol, and I think they used to use the hudroquonine (sp?) but my derm said they have just started a new formulation without that ingredient because of it being misused or something like that....its a yellow color cream the one I have.

I've never heard.of that kind of peel...is it new? I just got a little IPL on the sides of my face for sunspots and my Derm told me that i may also have melasma but its hard to differentiate from sunspots at times. So you get a peel then a cream? Whats the difference? I'm so glad you found something that you liked and shared it on RS!
