I inquired about a chin implant to Dr. Nagy at my four month post op from my breast reduction. He has always been so helpful and patient with all of my concerns through the process. I give him lots of credit for that patience as my concerns sometimes get the best of me. In the summer of 2020 I booked a date for the chin implant, went home, called and cancelled the procedure. I was so damn nervous. Instead of jumping right into the procedure again I decided to see Dr. Nagy for some chin filler, I went back two times after my first filler appointment and finally worked up the courage to schedule the implant again. This was an entire year after I had scheduled the first time. Leading up to the procedure I put my nerves and worries to rest and just went with the flow because I trust Dr. Nagy and his team. Dec. 8th 2021 my mom drove me to the Toms River Surgery Center and I had the best experience from a surgery center ever. Every single person I encountered was so genuine and nice, it was very relaxing. The procedure went great except for one thing. That thing has nothing to do with the Chin Implant or the Liposuction but my tongue. Something happened with that we still are not sure what occurred but the left side of my tongue was so swollen and bruised that when I woke I did not complain about any pain from the procedure itself but only my tongue. Still one week post op my tongue is slightly swollen and numb but as with the swelling from the procedure it will go away over time. Coming back to the procedure and the results thus far, same with before the procedure I am putting my nerves and worries aside as now I just need time to heal. I had immediate results that are already better than before. I do worry from time to time that I will not feel normal again when I look at myself in the mirror or that these are my results and I am stuck like this but I still have so much recovery time left to go and my results will change so much during that time. I am a week post op and I am enjoying the results so far. Updated on 15 Jun 2023: I am now a year and a half out from my chin implant and I am in LOVE with the results!! the year after the initial surgery some days were better than others with my self image but as time passed i just fell in love and would do it all over again in a heart beat!!!
Had a facelift under local anesthesia. Dr. Nagy is a true artist. My face looks twenty years younger and I couldn't be happier! His bedside manner is calm, understanding and reassuring, and I'm a very nervous type! His surgical skill is masterful (I was awake for the procedure by my choice). I would recommend Dr. Nagy to anyone considering a facelift either under general or local anesthesia. Schedule a consultation. The office staff is top notch, too! Updated on 16 Sep 2019: Having an easy recovery. Only two days on pain meds! Been resting, napping, and letting my body recover. Eating nutritious food that's easy to chew, such as pre-made oven vegetable omelets and homemade brothy soups. Swelling lessens each day, easier to make facial expressions. Some numbness around suture sites which is to be expected. Was able to shower and wash my hair the day after surgery. Did some icing first couple of days. No pain at all. Wearing my adjustable stretchy head bandage 24/7 except when showering. So happy I finally did it! Sorry I didn't do it sooner. Updated on 20 Sep 2019: Stitches stay in for another week. I'm a side sleeper, so I bought a donut pillow to avoid pressure on my stitches. Still some swelling in the cheek area, but very excited with the results! Do I look like I'm 65 years old? Sorry I didn't get my facelift sooner. Thank you Dr. Nagy! Updated on 20 Sep 2019: Stitches stay in for another week. I'm a side sleeper, so I bought a donut pillow to avoid pressure on my stitches. Went bike riding in a beautiful sunny Autumn day. Couldn't be happier! People are telling me how good I look.... Twenty years younger!
So tomorrow I will be having Breast Reduction Surgery!! I am 34 years old and currently a size 36H/I and I am looking to be around a cup size D. This is a HUGE change for me and I'm scared, excited, nervous, anxious... probably every emotion you can think of. I know this is the right path for me to a healthy lifestyle and to being comfortable in my own skin! I'll post about my experience once I'm feeling better and on the road to recovery! Updated on 30 Aug 2019: So yesterday was the big surgery day. I would definitely say I was really excited the morning of the surgery. They got me all prepped and started an IV. My temp was a little elevated around 99.4 but they said it was probably just all the excitement and nerves from the day. Dr. Nagy made me feel really comfortable while he was in the room marking me up for the incisions. Next think I knew I was in the room ready for surgery. I woke up in recovery and my right breast was in a moderate amount of pain. I also had drains placed in both breasts which I wasn't thrilled about. I was very groggy and still am so excuse my rambling. The first night I was in a moderate amount of pain. About a 6/7 out of 10 and I could of swore I had restless leg syndrome, lol! Today (day after surgery) I woke up feeling a bit better. My right breast pain went down significantly and I think it was due to how much fluid I was retaining on that side. My right drain had much more fluid then in my left breast. I had my post op appointment today and Dr. Nagy was very good at explaining what I should expect. He said he removed 1 1/2 lbs of breast tissue on each breast! That's 3 lbs of weight I lost!! And he said he made me a full D, which is exactly what I wanted : )) He also said I could remove the drains today which I was very excited about. Although it did hurt quite a bit, it was only 2 seconds of pain. Here's some photos of my post op : ) Updated on 31 Aug 2019: Day 2 after surgery 7am - I woke up with a headache and of course I was a little sore so I took my antibiotic, Valium and ibuprofen and it’s 11 am now and I feel pretty good. Just a little groggy. Overall I’m feeling better every day : ) Very emotional evening when my fiancé had to leave me for a few hours... oh these drugs, lol. Updated on 31 Aug 2019: Day 3 after surgery Woke up with a lot of leaking on my right side. I slept on the couch and I must have pushed the pillows over so I ended up kind of on my side. Which is why I believe I have so much fluid coming out. It’s a tan, yellow color no real odor tho. The nurse did tell me it is normal to have some leaking but it went all the way through my bra to my shirt leaving a large spot. Bruising is definitely there which is normal also. I think my plan going forward is to change my gauze multiple times a day to ensure it stays clean and unless things change I will contact my doctor. I’ll still keep you all posted! Updated on 4 Sep 2019: Day 6 Woke up feeling great and it was my first day back at work! Still a lot of leakage through the gauze and the bra. It’s usually yellow but today my right breast had green. I called my doctor and told them my symptoms and they got me in after I got out of work. Throughout the day I started feeling worse and worse, like I had a fever and body aches. By 3pm I felt terrible and needed to go home. I left and went straight to Dr. Nagy’s office. The nurse practitioner came in and took one look and said it’s most likely that my body isn’t absorbing the excess fluid in my breast tissue. This is common and not to worry. Dr. Nagy came in and said it does look to be that way and tried to drain it out. But, nothing came out. Instead he prescribed me a steroid to take down the swelling and I would see him in a week. They also took out the stitches and told me I can start the scar cream once everything dries up. I went home took all my meds and went to bed and woke up feeling back to normal. It’s so weird how your body can go from zero to 100 in a day! I added two pictures. One is what they look like at day 6. And the other shows something Dr. Nagy called a “blister” that he said will heal on its own. Updated on 8 Sep 2019: I can only feel discouraged that I have these “blisters” developing. I know it’s common but I really hoped and prayed it wouldn’t happen to me. I don’t know whether to air them out so they dry and hopefully scab or if there are other treatments offered to help prevent them from spreading. I have been reading that eating foods high in vitamin A and C are good. Things like meat, fish, wheat, veggies, fruit, non-processed foods, milk, beans and tons of water will help promote wound healing. I’m also wondering about if my bra is too tight that it’s causing more abrasions and hindering the healing process. I have a follow up apt in 2 days so I will see what the doctor says about it. Updated on 11 Sep 2019: So today I am 2 weeks post op and I feel good. I feel back to my normal self “energy level wise”. My breasts are still tender while moving as to be expected. Now, the scary part....... I have a HUGE blister on my left breast, right of the center suture line. It is terrifying how large and lumpy and scary it looks. Dr. Nagy said it is a complication due to how my breast tissue was and something about how narrow I was on the under part of my breast. I love my nipples, the symmetry and size of my breast. The only thing is this scary blister. I also have one on the underside in the crease of both breasts. Those, as annoying as they will be, the scar itself you won’t see. I’m terrified the scar on the front of my breast will be awful. He said, only time will tell and I just have to be patient and wait it out. He said it would be a couple weeks before it starts feeling better and 3 months until it most likely will be healed. He also said that if I need scar revision he would do it a the office at no charge. As far as treatment goes, he told me to put bacitracin on it every other day with gauze. Since I’m still “oozing” out of my right breast, I need to use gauze. Once that stops, he wants me to use Telfa adhesive dressings. The pic I posted are of me with the dressings on after he removed some of my tissue that wasn’t healing properly and residual stitches that my body was trying to push out but couldn’t. Lord give me patience to get through this! Updated on 12 Sep 2019: This “blister” keeps getting bigger and I’m finding it really difficult to stay positive. I am a healthy person, I don’t smoke, I haven’t drank at all I’ve been eating healthy and increased my protein intake and just started a collagen powder to help skin healing. I don’t know much else I can do other then try to be patient. Has this happened to anyone else?? Updated on 3 Oct 2019: I am happy to say I am healing up great! Dr. Nagy has bumped me to my 3 month appointment because I'm healing so well! I have been using ScarAway 2xday and cocoa butter to prevent stretch marks. Dr. Nagyalso gave me samples of Juven by Ensure. It is a mineral/vitamin powder you add to water to help with skinnelasticity and wound healing. I drank it for 1 week and went back to see him and he was very surprised at the improvement in just a weeks time. He said he wasn't really a believer before in this product but now is! Lol! Sore update: My right breast has completely healed. My left breast still has the sore but is looking much better. I am pleasantly surprised at how much they have healed over the last few weeks! I still have numbness on the underside of my breasts but he said it can take up to a year for the nerves to regenerate. Updated on 10 Feb 2020: I can honestly say I've never been happier with the way my breasts look! So happy I made the decision to have the surgery! I still have numbness on the underside of my breasts but they are firm, perky and so pretty. My scars have healed very well but are still a little red. I'm sure with time they will look even better!
Dr. Nagy is a highly skilled surgeon. Very friendly and professional and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results! I had always been embarrassed about how large and unattractive my breasts were. My breasts were never proportional. I did a lot of research and was lucky to have come across Dr. Nagy. Dr. Nagy and his staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Within my first visit, I had a date set for my surgery. The next month I had the procedure. Breast Reduction with Lift. I love the way they look now and I’m very grateful for Dr. Nagy! Thank you!!!
Well, after saying I would age gracefully, I decided to try Botox on my deep horizontal forehead lines. I had 30 units injected. Will post before pic now, and after pic in a week or so. I did not want to do more, instead choosing a minimal amount to be injected. Really liked my choice of plastic surgeon, Dr. Michael Nagy in Wall, NJ. Great bedside manner, and helpful staff. Looking forward to seeing a smooth forehead!
Hi all. I'm 35 , 5'6.5 and a fit140lbsI. had my first BA in 2003. (260cc saline) I had my first revision in June 2015 and went with 435cc sientra mod pro. I found out after my surgery that I had bottomed out before that revision , needless to say that dr never fixed me he just swapped the implants for bigger ones and I ended up with a heavy sagging feeling. The dr that did my surgery was in Top Dr Magazine numerous times. Along with that he also didn't give me the result I wanted. So anyways. I went for 3 consults with other Drs and they all had said the same thing. I was bottomed out before hand. So after all that I ended up going with a dr that my friend and a few of her friends have gone too. He's amazing. I wish I had gone to him the first time. Updated on 23 Jan 2016: My wish pics were the same for both surgeries. He couldn't even get that part right. They may not look bad. The the saggy heavy feeling was horrible. They were so low. Never felt confident at all. They would flop all over and fall out to the side when I later down. It was like "Where did my boobs go."had to wear a sports bra 24/7. They got worse after I took these pics, I couldn't stand to look at them so I never took pics. Then a few months later the implants I had Sientra , the FDA took them off the market in the US. And told surgeons not to use them any more. Fabulous!! Just my luck. Updated on 23 Jan 2016: I love them already! I can tell they're exactly what I've been wanting from the beginning. it only gets better from here on. I tried putting other pics but they were going upside down. Anyone else have this prob. I tried rotating them to. Still no luck. Updated on 23 Jan 2016: Love them!! I'll take new pics soon Updated on 7 Feb 2016: I haven't been on in few. I've been feeling pretty good. i went back to work this week and being a hairstylist it was a rough one. I was looking forward to the end of the on Saturday like i was going on vacation. lol So today I'm totally just laying low and doing nothing. Not gonna lie I was Extremely Sore all week but i made it thru. I go back to the doc on Tuesday. Hoping he says everything looks good! Im loving the new girls. Cants wait to be totally healed and to be able to train again. I feel like a squishy bowl of pudding. lol ill post some pics in a few. Updated on 26 Feb 2016: So I'm 6 weeks post-op and the bottom of my breast and the incisions are extremely tender and sore, has this happened to anyone else?
Ok first I'll tell you about myself I'm 49yrs old 3 adult boys all were C- section, I'm 5'6 weight was 129-130 my bra size was 36B at Victoria secret so I guess I started with a A lol being VS always is a size bigger. I've always wanted bigger boobs my left breast was smaller then my right, I've always felt self-conscious and not very sexy, I've been married 25 yrs and really never walked around naked in front of hubby because of it. I was thin but flabby so I've decided to get the mommy make over. So this is where my journey begins!!!! Surgery was July 29th 2015 I figured I'd get it done then so I'd be good for the holidays with all the cooking and entertaining, doctors say it'll take 4-6 weeks recovery well what there not telling you is they really mean 4-6 months to start feeling yourself again! It's been almost 7 weeks for me and I still feel shitty! After surgery my husband said he came into recovery and I was in ex stream pain I don't even remember seeing him, I came home and I know I was in pain but again I really can't remember to much, next day went back to my PS they cut off tight ass wrap off my breasts and gave me a surgical bra, he said everything looked good, my breasts were Hugh and unbelievably hard tight and the pain was insane, I got 420cc in left and 450 in right saline moderate.. The pain ran down my arms I'm guessing it was the nerves. I made sure I took my pain meds and Valium and ice ice ice! My flanks and stomach had lipo and my nursing was insane but it went away very fast. My husband keep making me go to bathroom to drain my drain. I swear to god I think I was in a living coma for weeks. I've never been under anastiea that long in my life so everything seemed like a blur to me, or maybe it was the meds I was taking. Ok so through this whole thing I've cried and stressed I felt my breasts were to big, my sides hurt from lipo and the numbness on my stomach freaked me out it's like rubbing a dead body. It's weird looking at myself with breasts I know in time I'll like them but it's taking forever for them to settle and soften up and feel like there mine, it's frustrating I know everything I've been experiencing is normal but there are days I say WTF did I do to myself? I do know I'm gonna be a C cup I do know my sides will are getting less sore slowly and the numb belly will come back to life eventually but again everything takes time, which SUX. Now things I wish I thought of before this long physically and emotionally draining procedure. 1. Most important it's a long recovery. 2. Put your meds in a zip bag or leave tops off bottles, opening after BA is hard. 3. Protein shakes, or ovaltin 4. More then one ice pack 5. Jello, ice cream, yogurt anything soft and light, I had no appetite until 5 weeks I swear. 6. Stole softeners 7. Lots of tissues for your mental break downs. 8. Tons of pillows, 9. You may wanna get a walker some people do I didn't One more thing your gonna feel weak and tired quickly, so be prepared to rest a lot.
I was terrified to have this surgery, but Dr. Nagy has been magnificent every step of the way. I couldn't ask for a nicer, more patient and caring surgeon. I had a tummy tuck. It looks great. I had some complications that have nothing to do with his ability - my body rejected the internal sutures. He has seen me to many times to help me through this process, and he is always kind, patient, professional and funny.
For years I have had a Pouch extra skin hanging over my lower half that has bothered me. I am 5'5 and weigh 129 lbs. I have been as light as 125 lbs and the pouch was still there from having two kids. I also have a wide waist "muffin top". I work out 6-7 days a week doing interval and cardio but it wouldn't go away. I finally decided to get it done. I didn't want to do a full and the doctor said I didn't need it. I have good ab muscles do I didn't need muscle repair. Updated on 24 Apr 2015: The operation went well. I was most worried about getting sick on the anesthesia. I have had two operations before and always got sick immediately upon waking up. The anesthesia docs spent a lot of time talking to me about the options. I also get sick on most pain meds. They ended up giving me a long lasting anesthesia they administer while they do the surgery. It is supposed to last up to 3 days. I was pleased to hand no nausea. The pain has been very manageable with Percocet. I only take one every 4 hours. I have one drain in which is probably the most irritating part but necessary. The first night I slept pretty well slightly propped up. By day 1 post up I was moving around a lot better. The toughest part is getting up. I went to the doctor yesterday and things looked good except I wasn't draining on my left side. Mostly because the drain is on the right. The doctor pressed on my left side to force the drainage. Looks better now. I looked at my self in the mirror and it looks pretty good. He removed a lot of skin about a pound and two pounds from lipo. Wow! I will take pics later and post them once I take a shower today. I am very happy with the process so far. My husband was surprised how well I'm doing. Updated on 27 Apr 2015: Took a shower, which felt good. Moving around well without much pain. The toughest part is getting up from the couch or chair. I am pretty swollen but have been trying to press on my stomach to make sure it drains properly. There is not much drainage. I have been sleeping well probably due to the Valium. I only take one at bedtime. I wake up a couple of times to go to the bathroom but I do that normally anyway. I take one Percocet around 2. The hardest part about sleeping is not being able to sleep on my tummy. I m a tummy sleeper and had the same problem when pregnant so this is no big deal. Updated on 27 Apr 2015: Been sleeping even better. Not that I had much trouble before, but it is so much easier to get in and out of bed now. I also don't have to sleep upright as much. I think the anesthesia the dr injected during surgery is wearing off because I felt a little more pain when I woke up then other mornings. I took an extra Percocet (which I usually only take 1 instead of 2). It helped but Mede me very sleepy. In fact I kept sleeping most of the day which is not like me at all. I never nap. I have to say it actually felt good to rest and not be running around like I usually do. It also feels strange to not go to the gym every morning. I read a lot of posts from other people and I agree that you need to rest and not over due it. I have been trying to post pictures but they keep rotating (even when I adjust them). I can say that even ough I am still swollen, I love what I see so far. I can tell it will be exactly what I have been wishing for. I just need to be patient and wait for the swelling to go down. I went to a bridal shower yesterday and managed to hide the binder and drain. Luckily it's still cool out so I could wear layers. Updated on 30 Apr 2015: I don't have much pain so I stopped taking the Percoset. I took two Tylenol because I had a headache. I mostly have discomfort from the binder. Drainage is very light...only a few cc at most all day. I see the doctor in two days so I hope the drain comes out. I am still pretty swollen and bruised from the lipo. I don't have much of an appetite either which is good because I was afraid of gaining weight from not working out. Usually when I am sick I eat a lot. The others thing I didn't expect was to be sleepy all the time. Even being off the Percoset I still fall a sleep a few times a day. Again, that's unusual for me since I never nap. The other posts were right...expect to be tired and rest a lot. I am sleeping better at night not that I had much trouble but I don't have trouble repositioning and even sleeping a little on my side. It is also easier to get up and down. Updated on 1 May 2015: I saw my doctor today. The nurse took the two stitches out on each end of my incision. My drain has only had a little dark red fluid for the past 4-5 days. When the doctor saw me he said my left side was still a little swollen and not draining so he wanted to take the fluid out. He inserted a very large needle but I didn't feel a thing. He drained the fluid and wanted to see me again in a few days to make sure it was building up again. I am very bruised even though there were no extra incisions made. Doc said it was because of the swelling and it not coming out in the drain. The good news was since the drain was doing much the nurse removed it. Pulling the drain out hurt pretty bad for a few seconds but was manageable. I was so glad to have it out. Now I can switch to spanx instead of the compression binder. I have no pain just tightness where the incision is. When I got home and went to shower a few hours later I was still leaking the dark red fluid where the needle was inserted. I kept massaging the red fluid out for a while. Almost called the doctor but figured it was best to get as much out now as I could. I knew it wasn't new bleeding because it was dark red. It finally stopped which was a relief. All is good now. I will update with photos tomorrow. Updated on 6 May 2015: i went back to Doc's office day 12 post up to make sure my Swelling wasn't getting worse. It is still a little hard on the left side and swollen but seems to be going down a little on its own. I was concerned because I had an out of town 2 day meeting coming up. The nurses saw me and said to put warm wet compresses on my tummy to get the seroma to breakup a little faster. Went home and it seemed to help. Left the next morning at 5 am to drive 2 hours to my meeting, I bought the high waisted spanx at Kohls and it was pretty good. I could even fit into some of my regular work clothes. I have last a few pounds since my pre op weight. I haven't had an appetite which is good and of course they removed about a lb of skin and 2 lbs from lipo. Today finished my meeting 2 weeks post op. Had to speak in front of people and luckily I don't think anyone could tell I was a bit swollen around the mid section. Swelling has gone down some more. Warm compress seems to help. I'm still quite a bit bruised but it doesn't bother me. Everyday I feel better. I didn't post pictures from 9 day post op because I don't think I looked much different. Will try again for better pics tomorrow. Updated on 8 May 2015: Slowly the bruising and swelling is going down. Updated on 9 May 2015: I still have a lot of hardness on my left side that I thought would go down by now. It is hard to stand up straight without feeling like it's too tight. My skin is also very dimply looking around and above my belly button. I can't tell if that is going to go away. Has anyone else had this experience? I hope all this will get better as the days go buy but I thought it wouldn't take this long since I didn't have muscle repair. Updated on 15 May 2015: I called the dr about the dimpling and puckering I have above my belly button. I don't like the way it looks. It feels like it was glued in little spots underneath. I sent pictures in. The nurse called me back and said its normal and to message the area. Anyone have the same experience? Did it go away? Updated on 22 May 2015: I have been walking on the Treadmill 3-5 miles a day for the last 5 days. I Ithought the swelling had gone down some. I have also been messaging the wrinkly dimpled areas. When the doctor saw me he said I was still pretty swollen. I asked if it was more than average. He said it was on the high side of average. After looking at the dents/ dimples above my belly button, he said it should get better as my swelling goes down. He offered 3 follow up Sessions using heated ultrasound to assist with healing and smoothing out the dimples. He said since I had liposuction it will take time before I see how well my skin retracts. He said I still have another pound of weight from swelling. I know I am not supposed to weigh myself but I am down to about 125 lbs now. My pants fit fine with the swelling and binder so that should mean my waist it smaller. I need to be patient and hope the therapy breaks up the dimples before I leave for vacation June 30th to Hawaii. Kind of wish I had done this in the fall not right before summer. I didn't ask enough questions about recovery. I may have to buy some one pieces or tankinis. Not the worst thing but for 52 I was happy I could still wear a bikini (although it has been tougher and tougher to keep weight down and in shape). Will give an update after the therapy. Updated on 25 Jun 2015: I haven't posted anything in awhile because I wanted to see if the Vaser Shape has helped smooth out my tummy and the dimpling. I have had 4 treatments a week apart and I definitely think it helped soften my lower abdomen. The dimpling has improved as well. I try to massage it on my own in between treatments. I still have a lot of swelling but it is going down VERY slowly. Another set back I had is a spitting stitch in the middle of my incision. I ended up on antibiotics. I was worried that it would create a hole and get infected while I am on vacation (leaving June 30-July 16). Yesterday the doctor looked at it and pulled the knot and stitch out. It was about an inch and a half long. It is still bleeding but I hope it will close up and heal now. I stopped my interval workouts again because I am afraid the twisting will cause my scar to stay open and not heal. I think I am heading in the right direction and like what I look like in the morning before the swell hell starts. I decided I will go ahead and wear my bikinis on vacation. I don't think my tummy looks too bad. Dr Nagy said I can continue the Vaser treatments when I get back if I think it is helping. BTW the Vaser Shape is not like a massage. It actually hurts but is tolerable. The doc said he thinks the dimples should improve. The scars are still softening, swelling is going done and my skin should be developing more collagen to improve the tightening.
Hi Everyone! I've been looking at this site for years, had lipo in 2011, but didn't write a review. FINALLY had my procedure 1\12\15 and actually started writing my review the night before but lost it & didn't start again because it was 2am at the time lol! I'll start by saying that I've gotten so much invaluable information from this s site and I'm s greatful to hear about everyone's experiences. So even though im writing this 4 days post op, I have my pics n info from the beginning. My background: I'm 43, mother of 1 25 y/o whom I had at 18 & never really had the desire for more. I was 112lbs, gained 83 lbs with pregnancy, lost most of it & stayed between 118-125 forever, taught aerobics n other exercise classes & was always athletic & working out. I got stretch marks, really thin ones & loose skin. I still wore bikinis but was very self conscious about my body. No amount of exercise makes excess skin disappear. I got implants in 2000 cuz I was tired of them being flat n squishy in a bathing suit....wanted some volume back, breast feeding deflates them FYI lol! Anyway I went from a c cup to a D cup. Most people couldn't tell n that's the way i wanted it. Got remarried to literally Mr Perfect in 2003 & life was grand! Fast forward a year and a half and weight just started piling on no matter what I did or didn't eat, I worked out like crazy, I became extremely emotional & thought I was going nuts....enter Hashimoto's, hypothyroidism in other words. Then began a rollercoaster of doctors n meds n no results for a couple of years. Just a fat, very unhappy lady. From a size 3\5-4\6 to 11\12-14 and 155 lbs. Also im5'2"! All I did was cry. Well turns out I met a brilliant doctor who was able to find the right med combo for me....which h turns out for me, this is not an easy feat. I started feeling better and was SLOWLY able to lose a bit at a time. Turns out I need calorie controlled, carb controlled, low good fats& higher protein.....carbs are not great for us hypothyroid folks, but neithe is paleo without portions....I need kinda modified paleo with some carbs or I feel crappy. Anyway iwas able to start slowly losing & joined CrossFit over 3 years ago. Still had fat that appeared in places that id never had it until !y hypothyroidism & decided on lipo. So in 2011 I had Vaser lipo of my abdomen, back, bra bulge, inner & outter thighs. I had already had some lose skin on my inner thighs & the doc warned me that it may get worsen& although I had a little cellulite on the front of my thighs, that could get worse too. I was pretty darn sure I was gonna get loose skin especially on the inners, but the doc said let's just wait n see. Sure enough I got loose skin. He tried a lot of skin tightening treatments n tried to improve the cellulite on thefront of the thighs, but nothing worked. It wasn't horrible cellulite, but worse than I started with & the skin wwss definitely more. I wasn't upset in the least, because A. I was totally expecting it, he was more optimistic than I was and B. I planned on the tummy tuck the following year anyway in which the thighs would be corrected. It wasn't too terrible, i wore longer skirts & bathing suits with skirts. Anyway as luck n finances would have it I couldn't have th tummy tuck until 3 years later!!!! Cuz I didn't want to go into debt for it! So here we are January2012, been CrossFitting for 3 1\2 yrs 4 days per week &'running 1 or 2 other days, took off 6 months for an elbow injury. I weigh more than ever....165lbs thanks to the muscle I've put on through CrossFit , wear a size 9 juniors, the misses sizes don't really fit my body quite right. I have muscles I'd NEVER thought I'd have n can do things I couldn't do when I was18 and I'm so proud or myself! No one ever told me Olympic weight lifting was so much fun! I can do man push ups, pull ups, climb a rope to the ceiling, c!imb over a 6 foot wall, deadlift 235#, put 135# over my head & run farther than I ever have! My core is super strong as well as my back, but even with all of my accomplishments thus far, I still have loose skin & separated muscles that will never go away without a scalpel! So I'm finally ready. CrossFit has definitely been one of the reasons I've been putting this off just because it makes me feel so good & I lobe it so much. I know its superintense & will require my ore to be completely healed....!ike 3-4 months or more. But its time! I want to look good for the summer to enjoy our very first boat! Sorry about the ramble but I posted my before pics on 1\11\15. I'm having full abdominplasty, muscle & hernia repair, lipo of triceps\biceps\developing bat wings & submentum.....double chin n fat neck since I had as a kid no matter how fat or thin I was, only getting worse as I get older. 43 y/o, 167 lbs, size 9 Jr, m or l top depending. Measurements: hip 41, just belo bb 39, bb 35.5, waist (smallest part of hour glass) 31, rt thigh 23 3\4, Lt thigh 23 1\4, rt shoulder on arm above bicep 13, rt bicep stretched straight out11.5, left shoulder area13.5, Lt bicep. OK whew! Now I'm gonna attempt putting up the before pics.... Updated on 17 Jan 2015: So I'm scheduled for 10:30 am , had to be there at 9:30.....knew I wasn't getting into the OR before 11 no matter what they say. If I didn't mention it before, I'm a nurse for over 20 yes, most of it in the er....I'm picky about doctors, my care etc. So let me say I've had my lipo here 3 years ago (at the Toms River Surgery Center) & the nurses rock! Everyone from pre op to pacu & in between , anesthesia etc. Everyone has been wonderful every time. My son's had surgery here twice as well. Not to mention my Doc...Dr Nagy, wouldn't have anyone else! OK so back to it.met anesthesia Dr Fischer n the nurse anesthetist, both great! Soon Dr Nagy came in , marked me up, put my suture line nice n low below the panties I wore for him to mark me n said he would go as far around as he could n take as much skin from my thighs as he could. I'm far more worried about the thigh lift than anything else. It was very hard to find pics n information on medial (mni) thigh lifts. Most are from people who lost a time n of wright n need cuts all the way down the thigh. I'm worried about asymmetry, migrating scars, separating labia & a whole laundry list of terrible stuff I've found while researching. Anyway Dr Nagy assures me I will be fine and I'm a perfect candidate. I trust him. He marked my arms n neck...also worried about loose skin on arms n crinkly skin under neck. Again, he said he will be careful, I will be good n vaser lipo actually tightens and I will be happy. So here comes anesthesia with my versed, I remember wheeling into OR, scooting over on the table n John, the circulating nurse saying "welcome to studio 54, this is where all the magic happens!" The whole place including me was cracking up and that was it, I woke up in recovery with a cracker in my mouth n my husband sitting there looking pale. I didn't know that the nurse just showed him how to empty my drains lol! The ride home was a little rough, bumpy from what I remember. Got home, hit the recliner, not too much pain, no nausea. Hubby gave me 2 percocet as instructed n off to sleepo I went. Woke up an hour later with some bad muscle spasm n told him to give me the Valium now. He said "no, the nurse said no Valium before 10 " or whatever time it was. I told him if he didn't five me Valium right NOW that he will be vwey , very sorry after we return from the er because not only am I calling Dr Nagy and 911, I'm calling his mother to kick his ass if I don't get a pill right now!! Lol! Needless to say I got the pill which took a while to work cuz the spasm was so bad, but he was as just trying to sdo what the nurse told him n didn't want to overdose me. I told him that I knew what I was doing n it was OK. We laughed about it later cuz he was so nervous n told Dr Nagy too who also got a good laugh. After that first night was good and the next day food too. Just took 2 percocet faithfully every 4 hours n Valium every 6. Updated on 17 Jan 2015: Just after my shower. Sorry didn't get my arms, they're just a little bruised n I hardly remember I got them done. They don't hurt. My chin, neck n chest however look like I was hit with a crowbar lol! But no pain, just b purple n swollen. I'm just realizing he didn't give me a chin strap...have to ask him why. Day 1 was a good day Updated on 21 Jan 2015: Hi Everyone! Sorry, I'm not too good at keeping up with my progress on here. Day 1 was good like I wrote, but 2 & 3 not so much. I was in a considerably lot more pain than day 1. Its mostly the muscle repair and a my right thigh lift incision. Taking percocet every 4 hours n Valium still every 6 hrs. No BM yet even tho I've been taking colace n senna twice per day. My belly muscles are so weak that I needed to blow/my nose but couldn't even blow hard enough to clear my nose!! Anyway I've been mostly sleeping on n off from the meds n get up every hour or two to walk around. Days 4-6 post op, pretty much the same. My belly is tight and swollen, stitches under tape intact n the incision looks perfect. Belly button still up for debate and probably not fair to give a final decision until most of swelling is gone. Tomorrow will be 1 week post op n I'm very excited to get my thigh drains removed.... 3 drains are a little much. Still showering with Hubby's help whom if I didn't mention before is my sweet, darling angel that I love e sooo very much and is taking such wonderful care of me. He:s so careful & gentle with everything, treats me like I'm a little China doll that may break. I'm such a lucky lady. He does work all day & I'm alone, but I'm able to get to the bathroom, kitchen etc on my own & he helps me get ready for bed at night. He makes dinner, cleans the bathroom that I use every day b/c he doesn't "want to take a chance of any germs in there" while I'm healing lol! Does the laundry , takes care of our cat n dog & basically everything. I do nothing at all. Oh, did mention he's wonderful lol! Forgot to mention that days 5 & 6 every once in a while I felt something running down the back of my rt leg, it was clearish and nothimg was bleeding, so I figured id mention it tomorrow at my 1 week appointment. So day 7 I go to PS office & see the nurse to have my thigh drains removed, which wasn't horrible. It does burn, but for a minute and its over. She removed the tape from my tummy incision which is beautiful BTW....exactly what I asked for--low, even, neatly stitched & extended almost to the beginning of my butt cheek! Removed stitches from arms lipo & from behind my ears from the submentum lipo. So I told her about the drainage I felt behind my leg, first she checked the stitches in the front of my groin (from mini thigh lift) and all OK. I had to turn over & sure enough, there's a separation/opening near the back of my right butt cheek. She cleaned it & applied some dermabond (basically skin super glue) which we use to close some wounds that don't require sutures. Anyway, my PS applied this on top of the entire suture lines in each groin for reinforcement when he closed me up. So she sais she wanted me to come back Friday (4days from now) as he's in surgery to have him look at it. She did say that in was aheadmof the healing game on my tummy tho which is good news. So I was a little bummed to say the least. Thigh lifts always, always have some kind of healing complications per my PS and he did tell me to expect some kind of complication more probably than possibly, but usually nothing terrible. I just didn't expect it so early I guess. I'm still finishing up my post op antibiotics & imagine I will be getting more. Updated on 21 Jan 2015: Just some pics Updated on 22 Jan 2015: So after the check up with the nurse yesterday n finding about the opening, I was a little depressed, but figured it'd be fine with antibiotics & the dermabond/reinforcement. Well thus morning i noticed that the sides of my panties, I'm wearing boyshort panties with supersoft material a size or two bigger than I need so as to not add any friction to my groin incisions & have been since day 1. So the sides, like where the groins are were wet. Not bloody but more of a serous drainage. So being the crazy nurse that I am I go up n get the big round magnification mirror to check things out....since its now very hard for me bend down n see what's going on. So as I'm looking, to my horror I see what I believe is another opening on the right side this time in the front of my groin next to my girlie part! AND I saw some redness next to it on my leg so then I freak! Crying & crying uncontrollably. All kind of thoughts were going through my brain....I'm going to split open on both sides n be mamed, I'll have awful scars n look worse than when I started, I'll end up in the hospital with sepsis and the list went on n on. So I decided to call my PS office since I now have a second opening & I see redness on my leg next to my groin n I have one anti biotic pill left. I call n was told to come in that evening. Luckily I'm only a 6 minute ride fharom his office. Sure enough I was right. He prescribed keflex, cleaned it with saline n added bacitracin. He told me to clean it daily n apply bacitracin n gauze.hha. hara spot to get it to stick! He said it was good that I did not wait til my Friday appointment & needed to start abx asap. He reiterated what he had told me from the beginning that usually 100% of patients have some kind of healing issue there. Still, I'm not happy about it one bit! So I go home feeling mildly releived that he saw it at least n I have abx. Spent the rest of the night crying on and off...my poor husband. Anyway being a nurse & having much more knowledge about complications etc. Doesn't help the cause either. I mean I'd rather know, but it does make one more paranoid/obsessed/crazy thinking about everything. So hoping for a better day tomorrow.
I think its too soon to evaluate and consider doing surgery this early postop. The capsule needs to form around the implant. I would make any decisions until 3-6 months. Also talk to your doctor about this during a post of visit.
It depend on the demensions of your chest area, which implants are best for you HP (will give you higher projection forward) Moderate you will have implant coverage for out to the sides as well. Sometimes that bothers patients becuase again depending on measuresments they can feel the implant slightly in their armpit. I think the 450cc will get you to a Small D.
It's not impossible, but it can be painful. If its totally necessary to have it done due to insurance not paying for MRI, I would suggest your doctor giving you a valium just to relax you so its not that painful for you. I would recommend an MRI if possible.
I would suggest waiting 3-6 months post to decide if you want to go any bigger. They do change within that time and you may realize you are happy with the current size. It's too early to make any decisions for change.
If your a C now, usually with a lift you will lose half cup size. So, I would say yes to the 450cc being a close to a DD. You want to be careful going to big with a lift, it does increase your chances of complications with the incision site. It puts too much pressure on the breast. So I would caution going any bigger.
