Amazing doctor, amazing results! I’ve suffered with large pendulous breasts since puberty. It hasn’t even been a week since my surgery and I have never felt so comfortable in my body. Dr. Pickart is a master at what he does!
Dr. Pickart and his staff are the best! I consulted with 4 different plastic surgeons before deciding on Dr. Pickart. He worked so hard to get my hips down. I went from hips size 45" to 38" and size 16 to size 12. I had surgery on a Thursday and was back to work the following Wednesday. I have gained about 12 lbs since the surgery, but the contouring he did is still very apparent. He give me a great hourglass shape. The girls in his office were wonderful. I never felt judged, which was important to me. They were warm, kind and compassionate. At the office, they don't just make you feel it's all about you, they really do make it all about you! Overall excellent experience. Updated on 19 May 2016: Before and after photos.
He is a man of integrity and a surgeon of whom I hold the utmost respect. Having been obese the majority of my life, then losing nearly 100 pounds, I found myself still quite depressed and distraught with my physical appearance after the weight loss. I hadn’t lost all of my weight before deciding to attend one of Dr. Pickarts informational seminars. It was one of the best decisions I made. He was very welcoming, forthcoming, direct and informative in his approach to explaining what can be done for individuals who have experienced large weight losses and are left with excessive skin.
After having babies and losing some weight, I had loose saggy, stretch marked skin that really bothered me. I wanted to look good in clothes and a swimsuit again!
I haven't had my surgery yet but will be doing so in 5 days. It just got real when my brain read back that sentence. 5 days! Yikes!!! I'm 55 years old, 5'4" tall and 145ish pounds. Age, hormones, breast feeding, and gaining and losing weight over the years has left me with what I call my " fried eggs" especially when I lay down. My nipples go so flat they're almost concave, and I'm pretty sure that can't be a turn on for my husband.... ( although he does say he loves me as I am and also he happens to be the best husband on earth) . After years of wanting a breast augmentation. I finally went for my consult 3 months ago and the date is finally here! Almost! I made the date far enough after consult in order to lose a bit more weight and get myself in the best shape I could since I won't be able to workout for at least 4 weeks after! That's the only part I'm dreading about this whole thing. Otherwise I am ready and excited! I will post before and after pics when I'm done...
It's my first post so please forgive me in advance as I am new to this. I have seen 4 PS now for rhynoplasty in the LA area. First time was when I had my BA / reconstruct done with dr.hodnet. He made it sound like a simple task, but didn't want me u see too long so insisted I return for a second sx. Years later and another child, my older son accidentally head butted me and broke my nose (2nd good break across the bridge) It was "set" but I waited a year to see another PS in encino. Apparently dr. J as they call him thought I had very high expectations and wouldn't be happy with my result. I left devastated. After reading many reviews I called dr. pickart in Ventura CA. He mirrored dr.J's comments about the margins of give on a nose job would leave a perfectionist unhappy. But he did recommend a filler to treat the I sent the light casts shadows on and to reduce the appearance of the dorsal hump. He explained some fillers have desolver that can be used to reverse it if I was unhappy. His bedside manor was very kind.. And like every other PS I have met said I would need a TT to get rid of the tiny pouch I have.... Not ready for that commitment yet! I opted for Botox that day ( dr.J did my first treatment for signs of forehead wrinkles and bruised me) dr .pickart was gentle and it was painless.. I am very pleased with the result two weeks later so I called and scheduled my appoint meant for next Friday!! A filler day he called it! As I may allow any additional left over filler be used to decrease the dark gallows of my under eyes! Updated on 15 Apr 2016: I'm so nervous!! I have minimum of the non surgical nose job scheduled next Friday.. But I am really starting to feel my whole face could use volume after loosing 75lbs! Thoughts!? My dark circles and hallow checks age me horribly Updated on 17 Apr 2016: I been living on real self in prep for Friday's procedure.. I read awful restalyne reaction reviews :( I am worried to have to many areas filled and then have to desolver it all due to a reaction or infection... Any thoughts? I am defiantly getting the nose corrected, been a dream for years! But why bother if the year troughs totally age me? Even with make up u can see them :( Updated on 22 Apr 2016: I started arnica two days ago.. Trying to avoid caffeine and drinking lots of water. Appointment was moved from 10:15 to 11:00 so dr has enough time to do my procedure and answer my questions about my May Lipo surety scheduled (another review to come) I didn't know I would be this nervous, it's only a filler procedure but, I guess having had a crooked nose for 10 years I am excited and nervous for the new look! I may have him use left over filler to fill my tear troughs or lips.. I'll post post procedure pics soon!! Updated on 22 Apr 2016: Dr.Pickart is so amazing.. He took over an hour to talk and comfort me, asked a ton of questions and looked at my dream pictures .. I'm bruised but not badly, and a bit tender.. But all manageable Updated on 22 Apr 2016: We did one full syringe in my nose and 2/3 in my year troughs .. 1/3 in my upper lip.. He was gentile and I had no discomfort at all! Updated on 23 Apr 2016: So if I can give you all any advice to be prepared for bruising in advance makes a world of difference. 13$ I purchased a 3pk of 30c of arnica tablets 7$ I got arnica gel (cooling type) 4$ I purchased the gel bead face mask and froze it.. After procedure I ice religiously.. My hubby took me to the movies so we could still have time together without me being self conscious. The lovely girl at the theater even threw my ice mask in the blast chiller ( next to the ice cream) so half way through the movie I could pick it up and ice mid movie. I did get a headache from icing so a single naproxasodium and poof! Felt amazing ... This morning.. I am still swollen but very little bruising!! Updated on 25 Apr 2016: Well it's been 3 full days and the swelling is gone, very little bruising .. I love my nose, my face looks less tired ! the .3c in my upper had very little effect post swelling.. But I'll wait till my year troughs need touch up to worry about it! All in all most definitely worth it! Updated on 2 Jun 2016: Here is a one month check in for all my wonderful Realself gals out there following along Updated on 9 Jul 2016: I had surgery a month ago and the Yama caused a bit of additional juvaderm in my lips and eyes to be absorbed extra fast! I noticed a smal dip in my nose as well.. I'll keep u all posted! Updated on 9 Jul 2016: I pressed submit to fast lol here a image to elaborate..
I am sorry to pick on you, but I think that we need to be honest with each other.
Saphira, Sounds like and looks like that you would benefit from a surgical rhinoplasty. You are very attractive, and a nose job would help to harmonize your nose with the rest of your face. However, I can't give you specifics without side views ("laterals") and a "worm's eye" view (from your feet looking up into your nostrils). I suspect that you will require a full rhinoplasty, involving the tip, sides, and top....
First and foremost, congratulations on your weight loss! What a wonderful transformation. In addition to your improved health, your figure already looks terrific. Second, even though you might think that your tummy has "unique" issues, nothing could be further from reality. I see at least one patient per week whose tummy looks like yours. Third, go for a full tummy tuck.
Yes, it is possible to undergo breast lifting without general anesthesia, but I would not recommend it. Many of my colleagues inject tumescent fluid (very, very dilute "novocaine," similar to what is used for liposuction) into breasts for augmentations, reductions, and lifts. However, I have some concerns with this technique:
At the time of surgery, patients should be at their ideal weight. Sometimes, this is signficantly more than their primary care doctors tells them. I try to be realistic with my patients. While they might be most healthy at 135 pounds, that weight may not achievable. So, we accept 186 pounds. I suspect that, at the time, Peachy, that you return to 186 pounds, your stretch marks will actually be worse. Sorry to be a jerk, but the fat in your tummy is "inflating" the skin, so that it is less wrinkled. When a grape loses water, it becomes a raisin. At 186, a tummy tuck or circumferential lower body lift will be an optimal way to...
