My experience with Dr. Memet for my fourth revision rhinoplasty was exceptional. Dr Yazar is a wonderful surgeon and person. I describe him as an artist to my friends. I had a very complicated nose which required multiple rhinoplasty and Dr Yazar has hugely improved the appearance of my nose when surgeons in my country said it could not be done. I cannot thank him enough.
I have had my nose operated o few times before and have never seen the desired result, in fact: the previous operations made me breathe worse due to thickening of scar tissue. By doing good research through social media, I came across Dr. Memet Yazar, the main reason being that he is an ENT doctor and specializes in revision noses. This was a requirement for me in finding a good doctor. In September of 2022 I came by for a consultation. The time that Dr. Memet took was incredibly nice for me, he took an hour for me in which he answered questions and within no time he also photoshopped my nose via an app on his phone with the expected result. Let me be clear that Dr. Memet was the first doctor who spent so much time and attention on a consultation and also with a photoshopped image of my nose..! When scheduling an appointment, I have been in close contact with the doctor's assistant, Ms. Yildiz. She prepared me step by step for the operation. She also answered questions I had in no time. Never felt like I was burdening her with all the questions I had. Six months later, the time had come, the operation. Prior to this I first had an injection with steroids in my nose because I have thick skin, to limit the growth of the skin of my nose. This method is hardly used anywhere because it is unknown to many doctors. On the day of the operation, I was met in the hospital by Ms. Yildiz, the reason being that she wants to make sure that everything goes smoothly that day and that makes the tension of the operation a lot less. You will then be taken to your room and given instructions on what to expect. Taking blood, signing agreements about what to expect of the operation, dr. Memet also came by to check how I was doing and again explained what he would do during the operation. I have thick skin with fibrosis that would be removed, also cartilage would be taken from my ribcage just below my chest to be used in my nose. Then I was transported in the hospital bed to the operating room and after a 5 hour operation I awoke without pain from my anesthesia. I had no pain or swelling during the entire repair! And that was something new for me because I always turned black and blue during my previous operations. As a result, the recovery period on average took much longer than usual. The reason I came out so well is because Dr. Memet operated on me very delicately. With refined and innovative techniques that he has applied and his own designed tools. Thanks to his expertise, I had a very pleasant recovery period. The hospital was very clean and nice. The nurses checked me every hour after the operation, whether all blood values were good and I also got something to eat and drink there. After a day I was already allowed to go home. And on day three I was allowed to visit Dr. Memet, he checked my nose and changed bandages. On day 7 the hard cover of my nose was removed and as well for the stitches and I got a small bandage on my nose. And on day 10 I went for a final check and got another shot with steroids in my nose before I flew back to my own country. All in all, I have visited Dr. Memet super often, which is extraordinary because other doctors do not pay so much attention and time to their patients. When it comes to aftercare, it is often the case that you are not asked about it. Dr. Memet, on the other hand, is very attentive and is so confident that you can tell he is curious about the good work he himself has done. As a patient, I can therefore wholeheartedly say that I am very happy with the result and that I could without a doubt have done this operation more often because I have not noticed any pain and swelling. I have a small face, and I considered my nose to be too big in proportion to the rest of my face. I had a little bump, a bulbous and droopy tip. When I smiled, the tip dropped even more, creating a small fold horizontally above my lip. Additionally, I had some issues with breathing, especially at night, as one side of my nose was frequently congested, making it difficult to breathe. During my first appointment with Dr. Memet Yazar, I was told that I had a deviated septum and swollen turbinates, which were the causes of my breathing problems, and that they could be fixed with surgery. I found Dr. Yazar by chance while browsing through Instagram. The reason I chose to make an appointment with him was because I appreciated the fact that he values natural-looking results, which was very important to me. I did not want to have a nose that obviously looked like it had been operated on. I wanted a natural-looking nose that would fit the proportions of my face. I personally was concerned about getting a nose that was too short, overly projected, and had a too-slim tip. As I mentioned before, I had a small bump that did not bother me too much, so I wanted a straight nose rather than one with an overly projected tip which would make it difficult for me to adapt to. Finally, when my appointment with Dr. Memet Yazar arrived, I was excited. It was my first appointment with a plastic surgeon ever. From the very first moment, he showed interest in my concerns, listened to me attentively, and was open to my ideas of a perfect nose for me. He then examined my nose through palpation and used a rhinoscope to examine the interior anatomy. I learned that I have middle to thick skin. After taking pictures with the device, he explained the causes of my breathing problems. Following the examination, he took pictures of my face and showed me a realistic result that could be achieved with surgery, taking into consideration my preferences. After my appointment with Dr. Memet Yazar, I didn't feel the need to do any more research on other plastic surgeons. He made me feel understood, and his honesty, confidence, and authenticity were reassuring. The healing process after my surgery was easier than I had anticipated. I had read horror stories about people experiencing excessive edema after surgery, heavy bleeding, and other complications. However, Dr. Yazar assured me that I could contact him at any time for questions or concerns, which put my heart at ease. I also appreciate the availability and friendly nature of Ms. Yildiz, his assistant, who was always reachable and helped alleviate my nervousness on the day of the surgery. During the initial days after the surgery, I had difficulty adapting to breathing through my mouth, especially during nights, which affected my sleep for the first 3 days. Things improved after the tampons were removed. I experienced edema not only in my nose and eyes but also in my cheeks. The edema in my cheeks eventually moved towards my chin (mandible) and disappeared within a week. The swelling in my nose decreased gradually over the following months. About 3-4 months after surgery, most of the edema had subsided. However, due to my middle to thick skin, the healing process is still ongoing, and I still have some swelling on the tip of my nose. Dr. Memet Yazar informed me that the final result of the surgery would be visible after about 2 years (depending on skin type, it could be less, e.g., around 1 year). In conclusion, despite the ongoing healing process getting a rhinoplasty was the best decision for me. I highly recommend doing a thorough research and scheduling as many appointments as possible until you find a trustworthy, talented, and authentic surgeon, like Dr. Memet Yazar was for me.
I had a collapsed nose due to an accident followed by a bad rhinoplasty. Dr Yazar did a truly amazing job and I couldn’t be happier with how my nose looks now! I'm about two weeks postop from primary rhinoplasty and fat injection with Dr. Memet Yazar. I was a bit nervous at the beginning but Dr. Yazar was very patient, kind and took the time to explain everything during my consultation. Everything went well after surgery. It has been only two weeks and i'm already very pleased with the results. I am so glad i trusted him and i highly recommend him to anyone thinking about getting a rhinoplasty.
Where to start! I had my primary 7 months ago, and did the mistake that I didn't research enough and got into the hands of a very bad surgeon from Serbia. I never had a bad nose, I just wanted it a bit smaller. But he botched everything about it! He cut off my bridge, it was soo low and thin, left my tip high and bulbous, gave me functional breathing problems and made 4 different deformities to my nose including polly beak, pinch nose, v shape deformity etc.. The first days after the operation I looked soooo bad! My whole face was blue, red, and swollen! I couldn't open my eyes from the swelling. After taking off the cast the nose looked deformed and ugly from the start. I hated it! I cried every day, lost myself, couldn't work, couldn't sleep, couldn't live. I only saw an ugly person in the mirror that wasn't me! I was suicidal, went on hard psychotic meds, that didn't help. I reached out to surgeons and asked for help. They would all say, yes u need a revision but u need to wait at least 1 year!!! I have thick skin btw. When I found Dr Yazars page on instagram I was impressed with his work, he handles the most complicated revision noses. He seemed experienced and professional. I reached out to him and unlike all the other surgeons he made a voice mail for me, edited my nose what he would do, explained and then we even had a video consultation. After he said I can come 7 months post primary I started crying from happiness! I got invited to a WhatsApp Group by a girl that had revision with him and was happy, there I had the opportunity to exchange with other guys who had similar problems with their nose and considered Yazar for revision or even had surgery with him recently. The pictures they sent and the comments about him were all perfect! Everyone was happy and loved the result. Then it was my day! I came to Turkey for the in person consultation and the surgery next day. Dr Yazar didn't want me to pay deposit in advance. When I entered his office I was immediately at ease with him. He was very polite, kind, and he really took 2,5 hours for the consult. He made 100 before pictures, examinated my nose, we made a morph together how the nose will look like. He explained me the techniques and everything. I felt so good and ready for the surgery next day. Next morning the surgery took 5 hours and everything went smoothly, we had a little chat before it started and he encouraged me again. When I woke up I just had little pain with my legs from the tight thrombosis socks. He had to take out my rib for reconstruction. I didn't feel any pain. After some hours I had little problem with my eye and he came at 10 pm to the hospital to check up on me, changed my plasters, check my rib wound and brought me meds for after care. Funny thing I had no bruising or swelling after surgery. Next day I went to the hotel and had to wear the cast for 7 days. I had a bit problems and pain first 2 days with getting up from bed from the rib wound but this passed quickly. I was very fit the third day and went to explore Istanbul. Today I had my cast off and the result is just wow! I could realize it how good it was. A straight, natural and beautiful nose that fits for my face. Dr Yazar was happy aswell and explained me what to do the next days, weeks. I am so incredibly thankful I went to such a great doctor and person. I literally started to breathe again and to look forward to the future. I know it's still swollen and he said it will be even better but I am already satisfied! What I wanted to say, I know how hard it is going through the time after a bad rhinoplasty but there is hope.
