I recently had laser lipo on my chin and stomach and could not be happier or more pleased with my results. I also had Botox on my jaw to lean out my face. I’m already a thin person but I still had those “problem areas” I had always been insecure about. Dr. Mark Hegberg is amazing not only is he a detailed expert at his crafts but is so kind, comforting, and reassuring. I would recommend him in a heartbeat!

I have been anticipating in considering doing a laser treatment for over a year. Based on what I have researched online and local you talking to different positions I thought that Halo would be the best option for me. I have some issues with skin texture sunspots and mild rosacea/redness. I knew the halo could make the redness on my cheeks worse but I'm willing to take a chance to smooth out the Texter. I did a BBL prior that targeted specifically redness so hopefully that will help. Today I am day too and my skin just looks red and a little raw it doesn't hurt. I have a lot of swelling still up around my eyes which is a bit disconcerting but I guess is pretty typical. I have lots of MENDS but not much sloughing. To say that this procedure doesn't have any downtime I think is very odd to the individual personally I am not leaving the house. The procedure itself was not too bad. The numbing cream was effective but it did feel very hot. The BBL is like a snapping feeling in the halo is just a prickly feeling that all together not at terrible. My face felt extremely hot for about an hour to 90 minutes after the procedure. That was expected. I slept elevated that night and my doctor had put me on medication to prevent cold sores and a low dose of prednisone for the swelling which I think helped. I'm not expecting any miracles but hoping to see some improvement in my skin texture and hopefully over time the redness and sunspots. I just would like to get over this hump and see what it will look like next week! It's only day two and I'm pretty impatient LOL I guess any type of resurfacing with lasers is not really for the faint of heart But I was so unhappy with my skin then I thought honestly I had to give it a go otherwise it would just be nagging at me all the time and I'm glad I did. I can now either move on and except what it is or hopefully enjoy improvement

Today is a better day. Still lots of rough texture and MENDS under my eyes are still really swollen and again I have a little bit of bruising but it's not too bad. I can tell my skin is much tighter and smoother looking already Just now hoping for some improvement in the pigment

well, I wish I had better news. I am not at all happy with the results so far. I do not feel it did much with pigment issues at all and I am more red on my cheeks than before. I also feel the laser left "track marks" on my skin up under my eyes on the tops of my cheeks and on the sides of my face. I hope that heals smooth but for now it is a big bummer. Be careful out there. I will cont to update. However, I know I am a very harsh critic of myself, but I would not consider this worth it at this time at all - I will cont to give it some time however.

I pix taken in bathroom with light on no flash same as before phot bare faced. I am a little over one month out and extremely happy. I went in for a one month fu and pix were taken and I was shocked at the before and after...same light , same bare face, same angles yet way a mother skin and more even tone and color. I really think it is hard to see the big picture day to day but in that manner it was obvious. Everyday I feel my skin gets better and better. My fine lines are nearly gone or so diminished it's not even noticeable and I do not wear any face makeup like I used too with heavy foundation plus concealer etc. I am content to walk out like this with my lashes on and some lipgloss (and massive sunscreen of course)
I just think that some of the effect is more gradual in some people like me but I am super pleased. I got a compliment on my skin this week and was shocked!
While not for everybody I am VERY pleased with the outcome. Doctor, staff and now, my skin. I feel more confident. I will probably do this yearly. I thought maybe another one was needed but this being a class act said he felt my results were so great he would not do another now and wait a year. That is awesome in an industry that can prey on vulnerable people's insecurities. I hope this helps someone!

Hi there

I had my second Halo yesterday with the same clinic. I am super red and very swollen under my eyes as we did a bit more there. With that everything is the same as last time, just more swelling. Will keep track - it was nice to come here and remind myself that what I look like today is NOT much unlike what I did a year ago.

This halo recovery given it was more "aggressive" 20% ablation and more dense and depth I think - sorry I am not 100% sure on technical - I don't care as I trust my provider who is so knowledgable, kind and conservative - was way MORE to deal with but now at day 5 I am SO HAPPY - this time my TEXTURE is dramactically changed and my skin color so much more even - I shed A LOT and had WAY more MENDS this time and WAY MORE swelling but overall It seems worth it - last time at this point I was discouraged but now I know what to expect and this time around was a better treatment setting for me. Very pleased - and keep in mind my skin was a challenge! - rosacea, melasma, pores, texture, sun damage galore.

I am a 5' 2" , 42-yr-old female who has always been in good to average shape (my average weight is about 125 pounds). I workout regularly and investigated traditional lipo, coolsculpting, and other less invasive options to reduce belly fat. I decided to move forward with LaserLipo, because it appears to offer the greatest likelihood of success w/ the least likelihood of complications and down-time.

I had the procedure done at the clinic. The entire procedure took about 2 hours (not including prep time). The doctor performed the following procedures on my lower abdominal, my right 'flank' and my left 'flank'.
1. Insertion of a tube (felt like it was 'snaking' under my skin) to inject anesthesia
2. Insertion of a tube to suck the fat out
3. Insertion of the laser to further break up fat.

There were occasional moments of discomfort, but It was definitely bearable. I did get emotional toward the end, but I suspect that was more of a reaction to all the drugs coursing through my body and general body 'trauma'. Overall, the procedure and experience was extremely tolerable for me.

I am on my first day of recovery and have found that warm baths help tremendously! I did 'drain' after a bath last night.. my bathroom looked like a murder scene. :) However, that was mostly the fluids that were injected, draining out. I did not have any bleeding or draining after a bath this morning.

I am now almost 24 hours post-op and can tolerate the discomfort with a normal dose of Excedrin. I am very slow moving around and 'stiff', but not in pain. I am glad I took the day off of work, but I do anticipate I will be able to go into the office tomorrow. So, that means I only missed two days of work (one day for the procedure and then one day of recovery)

The only unexpected result I'm having is that I cannot keep down any food. I am someone who NEVER vomits (I think maybe the last time was when I was 8 years old), so that is definitely unexpected for me. However, I think my body is still recovering from the trauma and also the pain meds that I took last night.

I figured out that the cause of my vomiting was the pain-killers my doctor prescribed. I've been able to keep food down today. I was sore and moving slowly this morning, but was able to take my dog on a 2 mile walk this afternoon and can bend over with minimal effort. I'll post more pictures over the weekend.

Here are some pics I took 72 hours from the time my procedure completed. The lines you see are from an ace bandage I wrapped under the compression garment. It seems to help with soreness and itching.

Quite a bit of bruising on my back... I am guessing that is because most of the blood pooled there while I slept. I am now at almost 96 hours (4 days) post-op and was able to take a shower and can move in pretty much any direction without any sudden pain (although I am definitely still 'tender').

I am seeing some swelling more on one side than the other, but I think this is just part of the recovery and not a result of fat migration.. :)
