Pleasant office staff. Relaxing area. Very gentle. Pain free. This review was created as part of a nomination to the RealSelf I Love My Injector Campaign.
Had the procedure done today. I was worried about other posting here theirs was painful. However it was uncomfortable the first few min. The device got good suction of the area. I felt to sleep during the procedure. Now comes the wait I'll keep guys posted. 37 "around belly button and 34 " upper abs Updated on 5 Jun 2017: Updated on 28 Aug 2017: It's been three months since I had CS done. I definitely noticed the difference but I'm not sure if the treatment really works I lost over 20 lbs in the last couple of months. My entire body fat mass went down. My opinion not sure still.
I had areas of fat on my waist and back that bothered me, even after having a tummy-tuck years earlier. I didn't want to have any more surgery, so the CoolSculpting was a great option. The areas swelled quite a bit and took several months to come down. I wasn't even sure if it had done very much, until I went in for before and after photographs. Then I could see the difference and it was really impressive. I think since the swelling goes down so slowly, you end up just noticing what's still there, and not what's gone.
Since having my child I had a few tough spots to lose the fat, my bra roll, outer thighs and love handles. Cannot believe how well it worked, so worth it! Easy to do with a little tenderness for a week or two. The results just kept getting better and better. Just cannot say enough of how happy I am that I did this procedure. Will be during more in the near future!
Dr. Loomis did my breast augmentation 8 years ago, and my breasts still look fantastic. I have a non visible scar(which I don't even want to call it a scar as you can't see it), my breasts have a natural shape to them, and feel great. No complications. Wonderful, wonderful Doctor. I highly recommend to anyone in the Hudson Valley.
I am a few weeks away from my first Coolsculpting appointment and I am very apprehensive. I am about to spend a great deal of money to get 6 areas treated and I am panicking that I made the wrong decision. Originally I wanted to get a tummy tuck, but the doctor I chose for a consultation no longer does them because he has a back injury and can't perform a surgery for that length of time anymore. He seemed confident I would be happy with the results of Coolsculpting but honest about the fact that I wouldn't have the tight, flat stomach I would get from lipo and a tummy tuck. I honestly never considered having lipo before because the procedure scared me, but he told me that for the results I wanted, if I chose not to go with Coolsculpting, aggressive lip WOULD be necessary. That made the decision very difficult for me. Eventually I opted to go with it. After putting down a $500 deposit, and finding this site and seeing more pictures and reviews, I'm scared I'll be wasting my money. I am glad for those of you who are happy with your results, and I do see a lot of you who are, but the chances seem high that any one of us won't see the results we want. I will go through with the procedure because I don't want to lose my $500. I really hope I'm wrong. Will add before photos when it gets closer to my appointment. Updated on 14 Jul 2014: Here are my pre-coolsculpting pictures. I'm still debating on whether to do it or not. Today I plan to call to see what my options are for a refund, but part of me still wants to try it. I just wish it was a sure thing! Coolsculpting or lipo? Or tummy tuck??? Updated on 8 Aug 2014: I went for a few more consultations and a tummy tuck seems to be what I'm looking for. Each PS I spoke with was so helpful. What a learning experience this has been!
I'd thought about this for years, and finally couldn't deal with two different bra sizes anymore. I got a lift on one side, and enlargement on both to even them out. I can wear anything now and look balanced. My husband was very neutral beforehand, and delighted since.
I am 27yo and I have a 2yo daugher that I breast fed for 6months. I decide I wanted a BA way before my daughter. I was very heavy for a few years in middle and high school. When I turned 16 I lost about 60lbs and the first thing I lost was my breasts. I went from a large c/ small d to a very saggy b. Breast feeding honestly didnt make my breast worse but it was nice to see them back after 11 years. I decided one day a few months ago that it was time to meet with a few surgons. For some reason I suddenly had gotten tired of wearing bras with extra padding and looking flat chested in bathing suits. So I met with a female doctor and really like her. She said that implants would definetly improve my figure and even out my larger thighs and butt. So we sheduled the date of July 14th but because of short staffing at work and I wanted to enjoy my summer we resheduled it for sept 6th. On august 14th I had my post op and brought pictures of the size breasts that I would like to end up with. When she looked at the pics she said I didnt have enough tissue to get that size even though I was around the same size as the before pic.She told me she could only go up to a 375cc implant. To me that seemed small to be the largest I could go especially since I had twice before worn a D cup bra. I then decided that I needed to get more opions. I was left with 2 weeks to find a new surgeon if I wanted to keep the date I had already planned for. The first surgeon said he would have no problem going up to 450cc implant on me and filling in the operating room to what my body could handle. The 2nd surgeon did give me a max size, he let me try on sizers and said when they feel too big go down a size. I was sooooo happy. i choose 550ccs that he said he would fill to 570 since they would look smaller once placed under the muscle. This doctor was slightly more expensive then the first doctor and about a thousand more then the 2nd doctor but the fact that I could have my breast the size I want was worth every penny Day of surgery 9/6/12 I arrived at the hospital at 9:15, had vitals taken, answered questions and had an IV started. At 10am I was brought into the OR and dont remember much after that. I woke up 2 and a half hrs later in recovery and almost forgot what I was there for. While in the bed, the way I was positioned had me flexing my chest muscles and I told the nurse before they became sore. Once I fully woke up they put me in a chair and fed me and gave me the cup of coffee I was waiting for all morning. After a few minutes I asked the nurse when the pain was supposed to start. She replied most were in pain already. Since then I have been waiting the pain to start. Im not pushing it though because tomorrow might be a different story. As of right now I'm so happy I did this and my biggest fear was the pain and there is none 8hs later. My Doc did call me tonight and told me he over filled my 550cc saline implants to 575ccs. He went under the muscle and threw the armpit. My insisions just started burning and my whole chest is still numb but I do have tightess, which my ice packs help. Im praying that I feel like this tomorrow or even better of course. Updated on 7 Sep 2012: Day after surgery 9/7/12 I have been feeling a little sore. Definetly had morning boob and upper body stifness this morning. After that I was fine all day. I had my first post op appt this morning at 11:30 am, the doctor said everything looks great. He did say that I should stop using my right side as much. It is much more swollen and bruised in my arm pit then the other side.I was also given my massages to do atleat ten times a day and scheduled my next appt for the 12th. I still have no pain and have not taken any narcotic pain meds since last night. I still have no pain and the fact that the percocet is hard on my stomach and is constipating helped me decide to just take tylenol. I spent about three hours at the mall and still have no pain but did start to feel stiff and tired so my finace, daughter and I came home to relax. My breasts are tight, riding high and uncomfortable but I still am so happy and excited I made this discision.Updated on 9 Sep 2012:Its been a few days since the surgery and I'm feeling about the same. Starting to get used to the stiffness and being uncomfortable. Ive been trying to ice under my right arm to get rid of some of this swelling and bruising. People say I look like a line backer because I cant put my right arm all the way down. Other then being a litlle more uncomfortable on the right, I am ok but ready to move on with the process and get back to normal. Ive been trying to remember to do my massages atleast once an hr. I think they are starting to soften up and drop a little. I also having been taking my tylenol regularly and my muscle relaxers. With out both I get really stiff and become more uncomfortable. A heating pad on my back has been a life saver also. My back and neck have been so stiff from the new weight and my posture being different. The back cramps may even be worse then the stiff boobs and swollen arm pit. Other then all of that I'm doing great and trying to remember to take it easy. When your not in pain its easy to try to do all the things you normally do.Updated on 16 Sep 2012:It has been 10 days since my surgery and I'm feeling 90% back to my normal self. I'm still getting used to the implants, the weight, back aches, the right posture and sleeping is still not 100% normal. Other then that I still have my bruises under my breasts and a bruise and blood build up under my right arm pit, though every day they look and feel better. Im still numb in small spots under the breast and on my nipples. The doctor says that is normal and the tickling I feel is the sensations coming back. He also said a few more weeks until I can wear a bra. I'm excited to find out what size I am going to be even theough Im happy with how they look now as long as they dont shrink too much more. Still have no pain other then back pain from poor posture with these new heavy additions. I havent taken any muscle relaxers or tylenol today. I was continuing to take them on schedule because I do get stiff and uncomfortable but today wasnt too bad and a hot shower did the trick. I will take tylenol and a relaxer before bed because I still have a hard time sleeping. Trying to sleep on my side causes an uncomfortable pulling sensation and sleeping on my back is just uncomfortable. I'm definetly ready for these new breasts to feel 100% normal like I've had them my whole life. I cant complain though I have had no pain this whole experience and that was my biggest worry. I just knew my bad luck would have me in the worst pain after surgery.
Cool Sculpt did not work for me. No pictures were taken after the procedure was done on upper abdominal area. I did indeed have soreness and My upper abdominal area looks bigger than it normal was, I don't recommend this to anyone. The money spent on the procedure was not worth it at all. Now I have a bill to pay and nothing to show for it.
After literally years of debate and research, I’ve finally booked a MTT with coolsculpting on my abdomen and coolsculpting on my upper arms. I’m super excited and a little nervous. I would probably benefit best from a full tummy tuck, but I’m too chicken to be put under and have a long recovery. My biggest complaint about my body is 1) I can’t wear sleeveless shirts 2) even fully dressed I can’t hide my post baby pannus pooch. I really dislike my arms because I have cellulite but I’m hoping coolsculpting will thin then out enough that I’m confident even with cellulite. I’ve also started dieting and exercising more. Fingers crossed I see a difference! Updated on 28 Jun 2018: I’m so excited but so nervous at the same time. I’m hoping the dr removes enough skin and fat. Some of the other posts on this site are really making me apprehensive with how unhappy people are with their results. I really hope i don’t turn out to be one of them! Updated on 6 Jul 2018: I thought I would be super nervous but I’m actually really excited!!! I can’t wait for my extra hangy skin to be gone! Will post after it’s all done and I am home!!! Updated on 6 Jul 2018: First thoughts are coolsculpting wasn’t horrible but def uncomfortable. The cold is painful....for about 3-4min, then it’s completely tolerable. When the pads come off there’s another 10min or so of pure unpleasantness. After that the initial treatment was just fine. Would def do it again if needed. The actual skin removal was ok too. The worst part for me was all the injections of local anesthesia (I have a thing about needles and my heart started beating out of my chest). I requested a Valium (that I had turned down earlier) and after that everything was perfectly fine. The local anesthesia is starting to wear off now that I’m home and I took some plain Tylenol and it’s tolerable for now. If I had to estimate I would say that Dr. Loomis removed a 3” tall by 10” wide by 1” deep of hangy skin. When I stand up my right side of my abdomen looks pudgier than the left but I’m guessing it’s swelling? I’m hoping after swelling goes down it’s even. I’m def pleased with the experience and excited to see the results. Updated on 7 Jul 2018: Should have posted these yesterday. Notice the swollen Buddha belly from the coolsculpting lol Updated on 9 Jul 2018: So I’m 4 days post op and feel fantastic. Yesterday was a real turning point and I’m hoping it was the last day I needed Tylenol. Day 2 was horrendous, stitches hurt, couldn’t get comfortable and was cranky af. But today I haven’t taken any Tylenol and can move around just fine. I’m def still swollen in my abdomen and I get up and down a little slower bc I’m being mindful of my incision but otherwise I feel great! I’m actually shocked about how well I feel, I’m guessing bc there was no musculature involved. I totally wish I would’ve done this years ago. Updated on 10 Aug 2018: Updated on 12 Sep 2018: 2 months post op. Feeling good with my decision. I honestly can’t believe I was ever that big.
You're in great shape already, so doing nothing is a perfectly reasonable choice. It's also understandable that you might want to do some fine-tuning.I have done liposuction for over twenty-five years, and while it is safe and effective in the right hands, it does have the surgical risks that CoolSculpting® does not, so I prefer CoolSculpting® for inner and outer thighs. Results vary among patients with any treatment, but I've found CoolSculpting® results to match my liposuction results in these areas.
No, we cannot treat visceral, or core fat, with CoolSculpting, nor any other plastic surgery procedure for that matter–not liposuction nor tummy-tuck surgery. If you're wondering if it's visceral or superficial fat that's bothering you, a general guideline is, if you can't grab it and it feels hard, it's probably visceral.
Congratulations on the weight loss! Looking at your pictures I don't see much extra fat there at all. CoolSculpting® only removes fat. If the loose skin bothers you, you might want to see a plastic surgeon about surgical options for trimming the skin.
Hi AnaMa,It looks like most of your abdominal prominence is from muscle damage. CoolSculpting will only reduce fat and not help with the muscle. I would look into the surgical options first, as some liposuction could be done simultaneously, avoiding the need for CoolSculpting. If fat remains afterwards, or you decide not to pursue surgery, then you could check out CoolSculpting.
CoolSculpting is definitely an effective tool, but make sure you are examined by a doctor who has extensive experience treating abdominal fat. Looking at your photo, a lot of your hip fat may actually be intra-abdominal fat, in which case your result from CoolSculpting would probably be disappointing, and weight loss would be the only route. If all the fat is outside of the abdomen, but there is a lot of loose skin, an abdominoplasty might be a better option.
