Hi. This is not an uncommon question. For a healthy patient, the risk from a general anaesthetic is very very small. If you think about it, there are thousands of anaesthetic procedures performed every day in the UK without any issues. The key to ensuring a safe outcome is to make sure that
- all the necessary preop checks are performed
- the patient is healthy
- the anaesthetist is experienced
- the facility where the surgery is to be performed is CQC registered for general anaesthesa.
Mos patients recover very quickly and are amazed how comfortabel the whole experience can be.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for your question. Its difficult to see the exact area from your pics but if ghe bulge is around the back (over the shoulder blade / scapula) you may be a candidate for VASER liposuction (depending on your skin qulaity). The alternative would be to consider a bra roll excision where the scar is placed in the bra line. Have a look at the link to see pics. All the best.

Thanks for your question. From your pictures, a breast lift (mastopexy) would help give you a perkier shape and if planned correctly, an also help reduce the bulge on the side of your chest wall. If you would also like to be larger but want to avoid implants, you could consider fat transfer to the breasts which can help produce a very natural enhancement.

Thanks for your question. Under the muscle (dual plane) (especially at 350cc) will give you a more natural look but you may notice animation when you lift weights and occasionally, some patients may notice a small reduction in pec muscle strength.
Are you having a breast lift as well. From your pics, it may be something to consider?

Thanks for your question. Pregnancy and breast feeding tend to effect all breasts, whether you have implants or not. There is no reason why you cannot have breast implants now as long as you appreciate the changes that will occur with pregnancy and breastfeeding. Many women successfully breast feed after implants but in some cases, the ability to breast feed is reduced.

Hi. Looking at your pics and your goals, I would recommend a breast lift with implants. You may be able to have a donut lift (which provides a smaller lift but less scarring). The recovery is similar in terms of pain but as there are more scars with a lift, return to full activity / exercise can take a few weeks longer.

Hi. Its difficult to be precise without examining you + the pic is cropped. However, it seems there is an excess amount of fat present. Frequently, in such cases, one also finds a well developed breast gland so the surgery I usually recommend is a combination of liposuction and gland excision.
Sometimes, more elaborate techniques may need to be considered but this can be assessed after consultation.

HI. Thanks for your question. Based on your description, a vertical (lollipop) or an anchor shaped breast lift would work well as they would give you a lifted look and would result in a small loss of volume which would be compensated by the fact that the residual breast volume would be sitting higher on your chest. The nipples can be placed more centrally as well at the same time.

HI. Based on your description and symptoms, it seems a breast reduction would be appropriate. Be sure to see a surgeon who performs these regularly.

Hi. Thanks for your question. Both ops involve a lift, but in a reduction, the surgeon takes away more tissue to reduce the breast volume while in a breast lift, the surgeon tries to take away as little tissue as possible to provide the lift but keep most of the breast volume.
If you want to be of a similar size, you need a breast lift. If you want to be smaller, then you need a breast reduction.

I recently had my old breast implants removed and replaced with new ones by Dr Fazel. He was absolutely brilliant, so easy to talk to and very reassuring. He did a fantastic job with corrective surgery to fix my uneven breasts. I am very pleased with the outcome. I would like to thank him very much. His secretary Olivia was an absolute pleasure to deal with and most helpful.
I had a tummy tuck with lipo in March of 2025 with Dr maisam fazel at the Fitzrovia hospital in London. I would like to say a massive thank you to Dr fazel and all the staff at the hospital and at refresh. I am happier than I ever expected with the results. I highly recommend Dr fazel to anyone considering this procedure.
*"From start to finish, my experience with Dr. Fazel has been outstanding. He is not only an incredibly skilled surgeon but also truly passionate about his work, with an exceptional eye for detail. I couldn't be more satisfied with my tummy tuck—it has been a life-changing transformation. I’m deeply grateful for his expertise and care"
I had a great experience with Mr Fazel from consultation appointment through to all my recovery and post op appointments. My husband joined me in my initial consultation appointment and Mr Fazel was great and answered many of his questions, of which he had many! I chin lipo and facetite at the Amersham practice, Refresh Cosmetic Surgery. I was so surprised to see a beautiful operating theatre at the back of the property. The nurse who looked after me before and after was very nice and made me feel at ease. The recovery was definitely more than I imagined by Mr Fazel and his team spent time with me to understand what to expect and I wore a chin brace for 4 weeks post op which was very vital to achieve good results. I saw Mr Fazel at Windsor, Princess Margaret Hospital, for all my post op appointments as this was closer to my home, and something his PA (Olivia) was very happy to assist me with. Olivia his PA is very good - extremely responsive. Overall, very happy 3 months post op, with still some time to go to see my full results, but each week I see more and more improvements and such a difference. I would recommend Mr Fazel.
I highly recommend Dr. Fazel. After reading his impressive reviews on RealSelf and exploring his work through the Refresh website, I chose him as one of the two doctors I wanted to have a consultation with. I ultimately chose Dr. Fazel because of his professionalism and extensive experience. He also provided references, and the women I spoke with were incredibly helpful and spoke very highly of him. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Fazel was calm, informative, and reassuring. I’m extremely pleased with my results and wouldn’t hesitate to return to him in the future. Thank you for the excellent care and outstanding work.
I went to Fazel with an insecurity I have had for so many years of my youth and it affected my mental health too much to try and accept my body the way it was, after having breast augmentation I feel like a woman, I was AA and now I can wear what I like with fantastic realistic results and I cannot thank him enough for what hes done for me, everything was top quality and his approach was very professional.
I have recently undergone breast augmentation surgery with Dr Maisam Fazel. I can't thank him enough! The results were exactly as I wanted them to be. Dr Fazel was supportive throughout the process and answered any questions I had thoroughly. The procedure itself was carried out with patient safety and comfort being the priority. I felt I was in safe hands at all times. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Fazel to anyone considering having this surgery,
I recently underwent a breast lift (mastopexy) with Dr Maisam Fazel at Refresh Cosmetic Surgery in Harley Street. I couldn't recommend Dr Fazel enough. From the initial consultation to the final post-op checkup, he was kind, understanding, patient, thorough and willing to answer any questions. He really took the time to understand what I wanted to achieve and set realistic expectations. I felt I could trust Dr Fazel from the beginning and my gut instinct turned out to be right. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Fazel to anyone who might be considering a similar procedure. So grateful for his amazing work and couldn't be happier with my results!
Fantastic experience with Mr Fazel at Refresh Cosmetic Surgery! I had a breast augmentation with donut lift at the Private Clinic Hospital in Harley Street and couldn't be happier with the results! Mr Fazel understood exactly what I wanted to achieve and both the surgery and recovery have been very straightforward. Highly recommended!
Mr Fazel carried out my breast reduction surgery in Winsdor, Berkshire. From start to finish he was professional, friendly, factual, kind and overall just fantastic. I was incredibly nervous about the surgery. Dr Fazel kept me calm and relaxed. He talked through all of my worries and fears and leveled me out. The surgery itself went brilliantly. My back pain is gone. I feel like a totally new person. Just under 3.5kg removed from me. I now have perfectly proportioned boobs which I'm so very happy with. His aftercare has also been brilliant. I had a small issue with a reaction and Dr Fazel saw me quickly and gave me a plan of action. Nothing has been a problem with him and his team. I cannot recommend enough!Thank you for changing my life and making me so happy.
