Doctor Lisa L. Jewell is an outstanding plastic surgeon. Her leadership is mirrored by her great staff, they are friendly, courteous and make you feel welcome. I’m extremely satisfied with doctor Jewell and her staff. I highly recommend her practice. Thank you doctor Jewell for making me whole again.
She is fabulous! I went from a 36I to about a 36c and she was knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. All my questions were answered and her office staff is also great. I can call and get answers at any time, was able to coordinate services with my insurance and referrals easily and they never once lacked in terms of professionalism or follow up. Dr Jewell lives up to her name and has changed my life for the better. With a load off my chest, I’m walking taller, have no back pain at a few months post op and only get sporadic pain that is manageable. My scarring is minimal and I love my new size and shape. Thanks Dr J! You’re a gem!!!
Dr Jewells is an amazing Plastic Surgeon, everyone on her staff is friendly. Dr Jewells is easy to talk to, she treat you with respect and dignity. Dr Jewells is a perfectionist, she will get you as close to perfect as humanly possible. I am extremely happy with Dr Jewells and her staff.
Growing up I was always made fun of my legs and my chest. I have big quads from playing soccer and no chest… I never felt like a woman. I always told myself ‘one day I will feel like a women’. After having my last child and completing my family, I finally decided at 36, that for my 37th birthday I would finally do something for me. I’ve researched through the years, asked all my friends about their implants, gathered all the info I had and choose the best doctor in Los Angeles to go have a consult with, Dr. Lisa Jewell. As soon as she walked in I knew she was the doctor that would be changing my life! Her professionalism and knowledge about each product was phenomenal. Explained the entire process and went beyond for me, as I’m an athlete and had a ton of questions. I already knew Sientra was the best option and she reinsured me that Sientra will be the best choice for me. As the surgery day approached, she had her anesthesiologist call me to go over everything to re-assure me everything would go smoothly. On the day of surgery I was extremely excited knowing that I will be waking up FINALLY feeling like a woman and a bonus was having the absolute best care team taking care of me. After surgery, I was extremely swollen and was fully prepared for that, as this was discussed prior to surgery. Once the swelling went down, And I finally got to see them settle, I was beyond happy with the results! It’s amazing what implants can do for your self esteem! I finally feel complete
I'm a 36 yr old mother of two, I'm about 5'7, 120lbs slender build. Iv always had small boobs and especially after breastfeeding my two kids, it left me even smaller. I'm about 32/34A although I wonder if I'm more AA since I don't fill out my bra cups very much. I'm going to SouthBay Plastic surgeons and Dr Jewell is amazing, her and her staff have been more than helpful and understanding! We decided on 385cc Sientra HP implants, possibly a 350 or something smaller for my right breast because it's slightly bigger. My surgery is today and I'm so excited! Very nervous but I know I'll be in great hands! Here are my before pictures! I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow! Updated on 28 Apr 2021: About 6 hours out of my BA and going well! Just still really sleepy and a little sore. Everything says tomorrow might be worse but I go back to post op tomorrow afternoon and I'm excited to see them! She went 395 Sientra high profile in both breasts :) Updated on 28 Apr 2021: Day one and I’m feeling pretty ok! Iv only used the hard pain meds a couple times, it’s more of a full sore pain and feels very tight. But so far I’m loving them and I can’t wait for them to droop. She did 38cc Sientra on both sides. The worst part is having to sleep on my back but hopefully that’s only for a while. Updated on 30 Apr 2021: I’m definitely feeling a little better today. I was constipated since Tuesday and finally got relief this morning! They’re still hard and high but I’m wearing my compression bra and strap and I already see a slight difference in them since Tuesday. I know this is the hardest part, waiting for them to drop into place. But I know good things come to those who wait! I’m trying to take it easy, Iv done some dishes and that’s about it for housework Iv been in bed most of the days just trying to relax. I get waves of nausea still and drowsiness which I can’t tell is still a lasting effect from the anesthesia or mix if my meds. But overall I’m feeling ok. Updated on 1 May 2021: Last I had to try on a couple tops to see how they fit, definitely happy. Although I feel I might have over did it yesterday because I was sooo sore and tight he rest of the night. Probably the most pain I have had since surgery. It’s not natural for me to lay in bed all day and do nothing being a mom of two but since i felt so crappy last night and hardly slept that’s all Iv been doing today. I also noticed my right breast started to drop and it’s sore, but my left is still harder and much more sore, I know this is normal but i was really hoping they would stay on the same page. But I’m confident it will start to relax and feel better soon. Updated on 2 May 2021: Heading into day 5 recovery here and I’m still in some pain. The pressure sometimes is so bad, and I swear they are going to explode out of my nipples. I know this is a normal feeling I’m just reading other stories of woman’s recovery’s going quicker and wish that was my case. My right side, like yesterday is the better one you can even tell in a picture that it’s starting to drop and take more of a softer form while my left looks weird still and is the most sore and has random pain. I’m keeping my compression strap on at all times but I don’t go back to see my doctor till Wednesday and then I will be able to start massaging them. Updated on 4 May 2021: FINALLY turning a corner and feeling better! It was a rough weekend and I can continuous pain throughout the night and nothing seemed to help. Turns out my compression strap that I have been wearing religiously has been the culprit of my inner boob pain. Iv had very severe pain on the inner cleavage area of my breast for days. My surgeons office medical assistant said it could possibly be because my surgeon did more work on the implant in that area to give me more of a cleavage look which I guess would it make sense but the strap I was wearing every day and night was putting so much pressure on it, it hurt so bad. Last night I took it off and wore my compression bra and I am feeling so much better. I go tomorrow for my post op appointment and looking forward to better days. Here’s a comparison pic of how the girl’s are dropping and I’m very satisfied so far amongst the pain Iv been in this week! Updated on 5 May 2021: Had my one week post op today and it went great! Doctor gave me the clear to start massaging them and wear my own sports bra with good support. I’m feeling so much better and loving my new girls. Updated on 11 May 2021: Two weeks post op and the girls are doing ok. Still sore, left more than right still, but overall doing great and super happy with how they’re coming along! Updated on 7 Jun 2021: Wow I can’t believe it’s already been 6 weeks! Girl’s are dropping nicely, I don’t have any pain but I just get sore here and there if I over work myself. Super happy with my results and can’t wait to see how they even change more in the next few months Updated on 21 Jun 2021: Updated on 29 Jul 2021: These last three months have flown by! It’s been a journey and I’m so happy so far with my results. They feel like they’ve been apart of me forever. They are not sore at all anymore. Iv resumes light cardio and workouts. They are dropping nicely and are starting to feel more and more natural!
I wasn’t planning on going crazy with reviews till after I heal but I had my surgery with Dr Jewell yesterday. I had a lift plus saline implants. I’ve always had asymmetric breasts. Different cup sizes even. And after breastfeeding twins and being left with droopy, empty feeling breasts I knew I wanted the surgery. She was the only doctor I met who felt confident about not leaving a vertical scar. She didn’t even need an anchor incision. I knew she’d be great when I saw that she did so many reconstructions but I honestly could’ve only prayed for how beautiful they turned out. When she took off the bandages today I was dumbstruck. She is an artist! And super empathetic and sharp. I am so privileged that I found her and have worked with her! It is a bit painful of course but I haven’t needed anymore narcotics since the surgery. I couldn’t be more thrilled! Updated on 24 Aug 2020: I can’t wait for these girls to drop into place. One side has more CC of saline and is more swollen. You can kind of see that. The implant is higher. Although it doesn’t look bad. I just know that’s not where the Doctor placed it but she said it’s fine. I wanted to share a 3 week photo even though I’m almost 4 weeks post. If even one person decides to meet Dr Jewell, I’ll feel like I’ve been helpful. Hardest part: trying not to pick up my babies and laying on my back every night. Get your wedge pillows ready for semi-side lying. Ignore the tape glue on my skin.

Dr. Jewel is a miracle worker. I had my first consultation with her around this time last year and today, thanks to her, I am sitting here a much happier and healthier person. She is the sort of doctor that makes you feel like you're the only patient she sees. She has given me her full attention at every single appointment. She has been willing and able to answer all of my worried and random questions throughout the entire process. She has ensured that I feel comfortable with every decision and choice that has been made, and I never felt unprepared. She assured me that my choice to undergo a breast reduction at the age of 21 was necessary and would lead me to a much happier future, and was right. Even 6 months later, she cares enough to make sure I am happy with the results. She is a perfectionist and completely exceeded all expectations. I went to her with a serious case of scoliosis and two very large and uneven breasts that caused tremendous back pain. She was upfront by telling me that due to my scoliosis and uneven stance, I was a challenge, but I trusted her and was right in doing so. The day of surgery she checked in with me to make sure I was feeling comfortable and confident and was incredibly conscious and careful in all follow up appointments. Today, I am almost completely relieved of back pain and am learning to love my body. I cannot praise her enough. She really has changed my life. The entire staff at South Bay Plastic Surgeons has made this such a pleasurable experience and I would do it all over again. Thank you!
Absolutely Amazing! In the summer of 2017, I had a breast reduction through Dr. Jewell. This surgery is something I always wanted, since I grew bigger breasts very young and they really weighed me down. I was dreading the process of this surgery, but Dr. Jewell made it so simple! It was a pleasure meeting her and the entire office staff was friendly and helpful. The surgery itself went great as well. It was a very straightforward process, which gave me minimal pain and no problems. A year later and my scars have healed beautifully! I had an overall amazing experience and I definitely recommend Dr. Jewell if you are considering having this procedure done.
Dr. Jewell is truly PHENOMENAL at her practice! Her demeanor is beyond this world, in a busy freaking world where no one takes the time to be “talk,” and everything is go, go, go ... she takes her time, listen and quite honest, her personal approach is something that EVERY doctor should go to school to learn before becoming a physician. Needless to say, that she MADE MY WISH COME TRUE, and I am extremely pleased that she was my first pick, and I had no interest on pursuing any other doctor after I met her. So, THANK YOU DOCTOR JEWELL. Seriously, if you are considering a procedure done, check them out, the whole STAFF is top of the line and I am pretty sure you will just as pleased as I am.
An abdominoplasty with a diastasis repair and liposuction of your waistline (including the back) will achieve a nice hour-glass contour. Breast implants will raise the position of your nipples a bit, but not enough to place them in the center of the breast mound (ideal). So my recommendation for your breasts is a breast lift with or without an implant.
From the photos you shared, a tummy tuck with liposuction will definitely improve the contour of your abdomen. It is hard to know whether or not you have a diastasis that needs repair without an exam, but since you have never had children, it is unlikely you have one. It is also difficult to tell if you have lower abdominal skin excess or stretch marks. If you don't, then liposuction alone may achieve your goal. If your goal is to have larger breasts, then a breast augmentation will achieve that goal, although it looks like you have good breast volume and a breast lift alone will re-distribute your breast volume into a more youthful position.
If you are otherwise healthy and are unhappy with how your abdomen looks, then yes, you are a great candidate for a tummy tuck. I recommend that my patients are within 10 lbs of their goal weight prior to surgery. You want to avoid losing a lot of weight AFTER your tummy tuck because this may result in more loose skin, so try to be as close to your goal weight as possible prior to surgery.
Hopefully your primary care doctor has seen your lab results and will follow up with you to determine why your calcium and other labs are abnormal. Your calcium is only slightly elevated, but can be a sign of problems with your parathyroid glands. High serum calcium can impact your heart function as well.
You can definitely avoid a breast lift if you have implants because the implants will lift your breasts somewhat. You will have a very natural looking result without a lift. You are not a great candidate for a "mini" tummy tuck though because of the amount of damaged skin you have around and below your belly button. My recommendation would be a full tummy tuck.
