I can’t begin to describe how elated I am with Dr. Huang and my breast reduction experience. Everything from consultation, to pre-op, to post-op was seamless. I am shocked at how easy my recovery has been. I had mild pain for 3 days, and then no pain after that. I was up and taking walks 2 days post-op. I have a petite frame and have always been well endowed. It caused me a lot of physical, and also emotional pain. My breasts were not proportionate to my body. I toyed around with the idea for a reduction for about 15 years, tried to get the procedure covered by insurance but was denied multiple times. So finally, in my late 30s, and with some extra savings I decided to go for it. I was a 34F/32G going into surgery. I really wanted small, cute breasts. When asked, I told her my desired size was a 34B/32C. She tempered my expectations and told me that she would do her best to get me there, but it would depend on how much tissue I had to work with. She was able to get me down to my desired size. I have cried happy tears many times over the last week. I feel like myself, like this was how I was supposed to look all along. Dr. Huang changed my life for the better, and I could never thank her enough. If you’re in the Denver area and considering her, go for it!
Dr. Huang performed my breast augmentation in 2019, and rhinoplasty in 2020. The results are beautiful, and I have had no complications with either procedure. She spent a lot of time with me during my consults to really figure out what I wanted and how best to achieve it. Also, she and her staff were all delightful to interact with. Updated on 7 Aug 2021: nothing else to add to the review - I just wanted to add photos for reference! Before and after breast aug, and my new profile with no before. I literally have no before photos since I hated my nose in profile before, but I, quite happy now!
I have a breast explant and fat transfer with Dr. Linda Huang on 2/3/21. I cannot say enough great things about her and her staff. She did a phenomenal job with my surgery and the follow up care has been outstanding as well. I’ve already recommended her to several friends looking to have the same procedure done. I waited 5 months for my surgery but it was well worth the wait.
Dr Huang, Catherine Szot PAC and Sylvia PAC are incredible. My care and results are 100% spot on to my requests. Thank you for your expertise and skill! I will recommend this surgery anyone Interested. I got my pre-baby bod back BUT ACTUALLY IMPROVED Updated on 22 Jan 2020:
I cannot say enough great things about Dr Huang and her staff. I had a few consultations scheduled. She was my second appointment, I knew my search for the right surgeon and best results was over. I had the best experience. She put me at ease, explained everything and the results were perfect. If/when I need surgery in the future, I will be a repeat customer. I also had Botox and other procedures done at her practice.
I had breast implants more than 15 years ago. Recently, an implant ruptured and had to be replaced. I was very anxious about the surgery because the first time, the procedure was very painful. I have to say the procedure went smoothly and I'm happy with the results. I also chose silicone implants this time and so far, very happy I decided to do so. The cost was less because my previous implants were under warranty and it cost a small fee to "upgrade" to silicone. I had to pay the surgeon, facility fee, and anesthesia. Updated on 10 Oct 2017: You may notice one of my breasts is smaller. It is not due to the implants, just the way I was built. My surgeon did not feel the size difference warranted a bigger implant in that breast. I notice the shape of one breast is slightly weird. I hope that will change to more normal with time.
My motivation was to fit in my clothes comfortably. I nursed all 3 children and my 3rd took a role on my stomach Muscles. And vaginal area. I decided on Dr. Lind Huang due to her over all care, education, experience and Bedside manner. She didn't try to push implants and said gay transfer would give me enough fullness I wanted. Updated on 10 Nov 2016: Drains are out from tummy tuck, felt great until day 7-8 super tired and weird. Took it easy took pain meds/volume and felt fine the next day. So happy I did everything at the same time, no vaginal bleeding from vaginal posterior tightening & TOT sling. Feeling pain in lower breast cuts past couple days, bit not horrible. I did move a bicycle this evening to allow my mom to park in my garage And I feel a burning sensation here and there when I get in/out of bed. Hoping I didn't hurt my recovery. No bleeding just ab sensation & small vaginal fluid leaking. ???? Updated on 14 Nov 2016: Updated on 29 Nov 2016: Took picks but didn't update, bruising is getting bettering my chest, feeling puffy above my belly button, not sure if it is just swollen or something else. PS nurse says it's normal and will change. Still very swollen around tummy
Absolutely recommend Dr. Linda Huang in Denver, CO Had multiple procedures and everything went perfect. Since I am older I worried about having these done but Dr.Huang and her staff were great, helped me through all stage before, surgery and after healing. Dr. Huang is highly qualified, board certified and very experienced. She cares for you after the surgery, as I've heard some others take your money, do the surgery and you are on your own after. Not in Dr, Huang's practice. Updated on 7 Sep 2016: Dr. Huang was the best. Loved her and the staff. Would choose them again for any procedure including skin car (laser resurfacing). Mentioned her to other doctors, she has a great reputation. Everything went as expected, took a little longer for me to heal because of my age. One drain stayed in for 3 1/2 weeks. Be sure to schedule time to heal. It took me a month to get back to normal life functions.
Almost 48, no children. 15 hours of research in procedures & surgeons. I decided on fat graft to both breast and face. Typically a very private person ( I don't even do Facebook!) I decided it was important to be totally transparent with fellow sisters to share my experience. If you'd like to follow my experience, Ill follow up with further updates & photos. Updated on 15 Apr 2015: Surgery at 7:30 am and done at 12:30pm. My surgeon did lipo on my mid section/love handles/lower abdomen). Then she skillfully gave me a lollipop breast lift, to balance out and lift my breast/nipples ( I also asked her to craft a slightly smaller nipple - just a personal preference , which she honored for me). She filled in my upper breast area with my own harvested fat, returning the youthful volume I have lost in my upper breast area from our good friend gravity. She finished with fat grafts to my tear troughs, temples, cheeks and Nasolabial folds. Whew! These pics are not very flattering, but I want to be transparent and show what I looked like post surgery. Keep in mind these are from the afternoon the day of and the day after. I was heavily drugged up with Dilauded & Valium, which accentuate my lovely vital appearance. I stopped all fish oil, baby aspirin etc... 3 weeks prior, and started arnica 30c and Bromelian 5 days prior, using arnica gel on the shiner under my eye. More to come... Updated on 15 Apr 2015: Here are pics from 3-7 days after. I was wearing what felt like Kevlar vest bras and compression underwear which I altered by cutting 'openings' in them. (Was a great suggestion from my Surgeon). You'll need to obtain a few of each prior to your surgery. Amazon has a good selection of breast surgery bras, Target for the lower compression garments. Surprisingly the vest compression bras (still) feel comforting and assuring for me. Drains were removed on day 6. I wasn't very 'juicy' and didn't feel like the drains were ever very full of fluid. The drain removal moment wasn't very pleasant, but tolerable. I switched to Perkoset as well. I was eating about a bale of hay a day washing it down with 2 gallons of water and even that didn't do much to move things along. Set yourself up for all things fiber as well.... I slept upright for at least 8-9 nights, surprisingly well. Of course the drugs helped tremendously with this. I never really felt terrible pain, more very tender soreness, and just uncomfortable. The lipo areas were the most consistently painful. My energy level was below low and just showering made me feel exhausted. The shiner under my eye was very stubborn, even with full doses of the arnica, arnica gel and bromelain- more on that later... Updated on 15 Apr 2015: Drains out, yay! Shiner under my eye- annoying. Energy level still so extremely low. I slept a lot and didn't really do much. My Fiance was amazing through it all and not only my champion but my hero. :) Swelling is going down. Took myself off all painkillers except Tylenol 500 on day 11. Surprisingly didn't have a physical withdraw from then lack of narcotics, but did give me an unexpected emotional reaction becoming very weepy and crying for a couple days. BTW- I didn't run out of the narcotics- I no just no longer wanted to take them. On my 2 week post op surgeon visit, they removed the tape and replaced it with fresh tape and also Lazar treated the shiner under my eye. AMAZING results! I cant believe how quickly 4 Lazar pulses broke down that stubborn pigment. In 3 days its dissipated and faded by 60%! Yay! Updated on 15 Apr 2015: Here is a pics of my shiner 3 days post the lazar treatment as well as the results of the lipo, breast lift and fat grafts to my face and breasts. Ill post a final comment with some pics in a few weeks when Ill be closer to truly healed, swelling has passed and Im back to my normal energy level. Updated on 16 Apr 2015: I haven't spoken to this but its so important to really do your research and due diligence in searching for the best, most qualified and skilled surgeon you can find. Study their web-sites, and real work. Not all are equal. When you start comparing you'll see a difference in the quality of each surgeons skill quality and precision. I chose my surgeon because of her impressive driven pedigree- Yale, Stanford, Georgetown & Duke!) Plus- she took the time and effort to write most of the commentary on her site herself & was so very personal, charming and intimate. Many others I reviewed look a standard commissioned web page using clip art of 24 year old photo-shopped models with wind blown hair. I think my surgeon may be considered a bit expensive, but I think she is truly gifted in her chosen art form - and you get what you pay for. My 2 week post op visit, she was so excited to see the results of her effort that she hopped up and down and we high- fived each other. Was satisfying for me to see how much ( humble) pride she takes in her work and gave me confidence knowing I had chosen wisely. Updated on 28 Apr 2015: I had my 4 week post-op today. Wanted to update as promised and say thank you to the sisters who have made such kind comments and been so supportive. My hope is that being brave and sharing my journey will provide others the courage to make decisions that will best suit their desired outcome. I have an actual copy of my operative report so I will answer the numerous questions regarding "how much fat" ... First - just a quick update on my recovery: Still more sore and tender in breast and harvest lipo sites than I expected or imagined I would be. Still wearing vest bra and 'spankers" which remain comforting. Still mostly sleep on my back, but the quality of sleep has improved with the help of a Valium prior to bed. Took 21 days for the shiner under my eye to hit the road. Officially okay to take aleve now vs. tylenol, which has never really worked as a pain reliever for me. 2 week old breast tape was removed today and fresh tape replaced. I still have a bit of swelling in breast and lipo sites which I'm told can take up to 3 months ( and sometimes longer!) to finally settle. My face grafts have diminished the most. I'm hoping I don't lose anymore as I like how they look right now. We will assess in 2 weeks when I go back for my 6 week post op. Perhaps using a touch of filler may be an option over additional facial fat grafts. That bridge has yet to be crossed. My breasts look so much prettier than before, and I'm very pleased with the incision healing, shape, size, lift, the grafting and how everything is healing. Dr. Haung is my hero. As many of you have asked- here are the answers to your questions regarding what my Surgeon did to achieve the results you see. I'm writing them as 'cliff notes' because the operative report is 2 pages long and very detailed! ~~~~~~~~~~~ Breast: She harvested 180 cc and 200 cc of pure fat from my flanks using the tumescent technique and the Khouri harvesting system. 120 cc of pure fat harvested from each side of my anterior abdomen. Using the Kouri reinjection system with a 1 cc syringe she injected a total of almost 200-300 cc if pure fat into the superior and superomedical aspects of my breasts. Of course, I had a breast lift, which is way too much detail to re-write, but she did a lollipop lift and honored my request and designed a smaller nipple for me- which was just a personal preference. For my facial fat grafting : She used a 1 mm Coleman and 1 cc syringe and injected 5 cc pure fat in each tear trough and malar eminence with an additional 4 cc in each cheek. 1 cc was placed in each nasolabial fold, 1 cc in the preauricular region and 2-3 cc in each temple. I'm posting a couple facial glamor shots with this 4 week update. Since my breasts still have tape on them, Ill post another update at my 6 week post op- and hopefully tape free- breast pics ! I have never had botox, but think I'm going to join the club and try my first tickle of it in my frown lines and forehead. Thank you again to the community here on Realself. Ill update again in another 2 weeks for my 6 week post op post. Ill hopefully be able to reveal tape free breast pics, with lower abdominal and face update pics as well.
I actually decided to go through with the "Asian Eyelid" surgery based on sagging under my eyes. It wasn't horrible, but I definitely was noticing a lot of puffiness (sagging is not really a good description) whenever I smiled. In pictures it showed up a lot. So, in an effort to stay on top of things before getting out of hand, I paid a visit to my favorite doctor, Dr. Linda Huang (pronounced "wong"). Since I was always interested in the Asian Eyelid surgery, I decided to do them both at the same time. During my consultation, Dr. Huang and I used tape to the upper lids, so she could get a clear idea of my intended results. The last thing I wanted was an extreme change. The surgery was easy. I was out completely. When I woke up, I had quite a bit of pain. My friend was there to help. She was working, and brought me to her home office; unfortunately, with everything going on, she forgot to give me ice for my eyes. I was suffering quite a bit, and didn't want to "bother" her by asking for pain killers. The swelling and initial appearance freaked me out. I stayed the night, and actually drove myself home the next day. Another sign, I wasn't taking my pain killers properly. The pain went from 8/9 out of 10 right after surgery to 7 the next day. Once I was home, I started icing, with baggies of frozen corn and took my meds properly (percocet). This helped tremendously and my pain went down to about a 2. Dr. Huang called me the next day, and I described the swelling; I sent pictures to her assistant as well. This helped a lot...her assistant assured me that my picture was normal. Honestly, I felt like a monster, and thought this was a horrible mistake. I couldn't watch TV, read or do anything since keeping my eyes iced helped a lot and I wanted the swelling to do down. Sure enough, things started to improve on day 2 or 3. After that, I started seeing improvements from the the beginning to end of each day. I went back to work 5 days later, still wearing sunglasses. I think mostly because I was self conscious of the change in my appearance. In the end, the results were great. The under eye issues I was having were completely gone...no more airbrushing photos, or looking "tired" when I smiled. The upper lids were done perfectly. The upper lid scar took about 9+ months to really fade. If you see before and after pictures online, I think they minimize that, by only showing pictures with eyes open or with make up. If you do this surgery, follow pre-op instructions. Ramp up Vitamin C intake, Arnica a week prior, no advil...etc. Lots of water. And most of all, ice immediately and constantly. A medical esthetician friend of mine, also advised me to do as little as possible. She was specific...no walking, no exercise, no cleaning...just literally lay on couch/bed with head slightly elevated. She said any increase in blood pressure will increase swelling and bruising. She has worked in her field for 20 years for 3 of the best doctors in the area, so I took her advice. I do believe it helped a lot...otherwise, I would have been inclined to clean and get around more...etc. Given my initial pics, my recovery went very fast. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Huang for this surgery. I have no scars at all. Updated on 10 Apr 2015: I dont recall the exact price... it actually could have been 3700.... Dr.. Huang is not the "value priced" doctor.. She's fair.. She has a top quality education (Stanford, Georgetown, Duke).. She's a workoholic with tons (I mean tons) of experience, as well as and excellent business woman.. Her office/practice operates like a well oiled machine... she has an excellent support team..
If your eyelashes are holding up your eyelids, if your eye shadow is hidden underneath a fold of skin, or if you can pick up the skin to say hello, chances are you have droopy eyelids. Surgery can remove that excess skin. If this runs in your family, you know where it eventually will go with time . I see no reason to wait for surgery until Medicare will cover it. Do something while you are still young enough to see and enjoy it. The surgery can often be done just in office under local anesthesia. Non-surgical treatments ? BOTOX can elevate the brow, by relaxing the brow depressors, but this requires repetitive treatments. Thermage is a one-time nonsurgical option that can sometimes give a pretty result, but less reliably than surgery.
First, you should decide, do you really need a lift? If you can stand straight in front of a mirror, put a pencil underneath your breast, and have it stay put, then you probably would benefit from a lift. Recently, I had a patient who said, "I can hold a pencil and my iPad!" I told her, "Stop bragging!" But seriously, if the pencil stays, this means you have skin on skin, and a lift is designed to clip out that extra skin/tissue. However, if you can not hold a pencil, but still feel your breasts look sad and saggy, then more volume alone would help. Breast implants are the most reliable way to add volume to your breasts. Your own fat can provide more modest results. My preferred lift is a lollipop lift, which involves a scar around the nipple and then a line down to the fold - think zipper. Basically, the breast tissue is pushed up, then zipped into place with that line from the nipple down. As for the size discrepancy, some size discrepancy is normal. But a little fat added to the left breast, and less to the right, may help even things out. If you think of your two breasts as cupcakes, the fat acts like frosting! You can "frost" the left breast with your own fat. Or you could use implants. Hope this helps with your planning. More questions? just ask!
