I had a face and neck lift, lower blepharoplasty and brachioplasty on both arms. Fantastic results and I would highly recommend Dr. Harris for your plastic surgery. Gorgeous facility and very professional staff. Thank you Dr. Harris
Dr. Harris is amazing. I went to him for a full mommy makeover after having multiples and he did not disappoint. I always had large breasts, but post pregnancy, they were a solid G. I also had extensive diastasis that he was able to correct. He brought me down to a small C and my stomach has never been flatter. He is also a very calm and chill surgeon, not like the many others I interviewed before making my decision. He was part of every conversation and was happy to answer any questions. 4 days post surgery, I even had a concern about one of my stitches and pain levels; I called his cell at 6:30pm on a Friday and he met me at the centre 10 minutes later to make sure everything was ok. Look no further, Dr. Harris is who you should be going with!
If you are looking for neck/face lift I recommend Dr Harris! I went to many plastic surgeons before I decided to have it done by Dr Harris and I am so happy with my decision, I was so lucky to choose the best of the best. My neck and face look amazing, natural and so much younger. I’m very impressed with his work and this is why I am going back to have another surgery done by him. I totally recommend Dr Harris xx
I want to say that the treatment and care that I received at Dr. Harris's office has been amazing. The clinical staff is amazing and caring and Michelle the receptionist has been great also. Always friendly and answering all my questions. I was super nervous initially but Dr. Harris did an amazing job. I'm only 9 days post op. But had minimal pain and discomfort and feel great and happy with result.
I had lost over 100 lbs and had extreme loose skin. I didn’t think I would ever look ‘normal’ again. Dr. Harris treated me with so much respect and professionalism I felt comfortable throughout the process. I am so happy with my results and would strongly recommend Dr. Harris and his team.
I've gotten so much help from all your stories, and now it's my turn to contribute :) My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, July 30th at 2 pm. I'm planning to go for 325 cc HP, my PS recommended this is the largest I can do without getting the side boob fake look. I completely agree with my PS and I trust that he will make the right decisions for me. I'm more nervous about the post op care more than the actual surgery itself. I spent all day prepping, setting up the couch, cooking meals for the week, bringing everything I'll need around the house down to waist level, laying out clothes for the week, etc. My PS provides Vivanta, which helps prep my body for surgery and provides supplements for post op. I've quit smoking 3 weeks ago, and have been using nicotine gum to curb my cravings, which has been helping a lot. I've always wanted to quit smoking, getting a BA is great motivation to ditch the cancer sticks. Now time to shower for the night and get some rest for tomorrow, eep! Updated on 31 Jul 2019: I did it :) Had my operation today. The anesthesiologist, nurses, and my PS were all so friendly and made me feel comfortable. My PS seemed so alive in the surgery suite, I guess I normally see him sitting down in the consultations. He marked me up with sharpie, and reminded me that my right boob is slightly larger than my left, weird since I'm right handed. We still ended up putting the same 325 cc volume implants in both breasts, though, which I felt fine with. As soon as I was put out, I woke up in recovery :) I felt like I just woke up in the morning, my voice was a little raspy. My chest felt crazy tight, and I was having some sharp pains in my right boob. Surprisingly I could dress myself and had a few sips of water. I felt a little woozy, as if I had several alcoholic drinks in the morning. I felt nauseous on the drive home, but was able to make the 30 minute drive clean. I immediately took a Tylenol 3 and ate some popcorn...a few moments later I was GOLDEN. Felt like myself, no pain whatsoever, just tightness in my chest. I was able to warm up dinner for myself, open water bottles, and go to the bathroom just fine. HELPFUL TIP -- Use ziploc bags to store everything, such as medicine (avoid twisting those finicky medicine bottles) as well as all the prepped meals. Since Tylenol 3 contains caffeine, I slept pretty poorly. I've been sleeping for about an hour every 4 hours. I'm going to ask my PS for some caffeine free pills or try to take the same dosage in just acetaminophen. Going to leave in about an hour to get my bandages taken off :) Updated on 1 Aug 2019: I got my bandages off yesterday....oh my are the girls bruised and bloodied! My right side is clearly more swollen than my left. The PS said this is normal, as long as it doesn't get larger over the next couple of days. It has been about 24 hours since I last saw him and thankfully it seems to be the same size, if not smaller. I am loving my left side, it is so perfect! Currently, nipples are numb..I may have noticed a tiny bit of sensation returning, but still too early to tell. I would like to say I have been extremely lucky with this recovery.... I listened to all of the preop do's and don'ts, as well as eating lots of fruits, veggies and protein a month prior to surgery and exercising. I read a review that appreciated her core workouts during recovery....I fully understand this now. Getting up without using your arms means using your core and legs...sometimes an elbow, though ;) Currently I am on over the counter acetaminophen. I feel this is much better.. I can still feel the tightness in my chest, but no pains from the surgery. Feeling the tightness is a good gauge for how I am exerting my body. The prescribed painkillers were just too overkill for me, and I felt like I was over exerting my body because I felt nothing at all. I got a bit restless today, so I decided to go on a 20 minute walk to the bus stop and get a haircut. It felt so good to go outside and walk for a bit...I felt like I was getting too bloated just lying around the house. Overall recovery is going great, I loooooove the size of my breasts, I'm happy with 325 cc in my frame, it is exactly what I imagined it to be like. Can't wait to see how they'll change everyday :) Updated on 14 Aug 2019: So many updates... Day 4 - flew on a 7 hour flight across the country for a conference. Overall it went well, I've had people help me with my checked luggage, and I was able to lift my practically empty backpack into the overhead bins in the plane. Day 7 - bruising going down, still have lots of swelling in right breast Day 8 - hit my right breast with the car door...yes this is the swollen breast...not having very good luck :/ Day 10 - flew back home. By now sensation to my nipples have returned. In fact, both of my breasts are insanely sensitive. Not just the nipples, but the entire breast...as if I can feel each strand of my hair that fell on my breasts. Sensitivity makes everything uncomfortable, almost painful...I took a couple of pain meds to get some relief from it. Day 14 - Finally saw my PS since the surgery. I wasn't able to go in for my 1 week visit since I was on my trip. My appointment was in the morning, and I was scheduled for surgery that afternoon! My PS wanted to drain the hematoma from my right breast. Went in for surgery at 2:30 pm and woke up in recovery at 4 pm, with a drainage bulb attached to me. He reopened only a portion of the stitch to drain out the fluids....but I woke up with sharp pains to my nipple. I'd say the pain was worse than when I woke up with implants. It was a sharp pain, probably since my boobs were already uber sensitive. Day 15 - went back to the office to get the drainage bulb removed. I only emptied it once that previous night, a total of 30 mL. My PS said he removed about 50 mL during surgery. I am really happy having no excess fluids in my breast, they look much more even now. In fact, it now looks smaller than my left breast, but I think it just needs to catch up since my left breast is already starting to drop. I've been really tired today, took today off work to just relax and recover. My next appt with the PS is next week Friday :) I can elaborate more if you have questions, just wanted to give a brief update since so many things has happened...gong to get some rest now before I return to work tomorrow. Updated on 29 May 2020: I love my boobs, one of the best decisions I'be made:) Glad I listened to my PS on sizing, they really know best! I do have a bit of animation deformity, but it is definitely getting better over time. I can't wait to see what they'll look like on my anniversary!
Dr. Harris is an excellent, experienced surgeon. He removed my 10-year-old Allergan textured silicone gel implants that were placed under the muscle. He used the en bloc capsulectomy procedure which is not an easy surgery unless you are experienced with this type of procedure as Dr. Harris is. One of my implants had developed a double capsule and was sticky and Dr. Harris removed it entirely. I did not have any pain after my surgery and did not have to take pain pills or over-the-counter meds. Dr. Harris provided me with an advanced recovery drink to take prior to and after surgery to help recover faster and pain-free which may explain why I had no pain. I had the surgery June 18, 2019 and 6 weeks post-op I feel and look fantastic. I’m healthier than prior to the surgery and my BII symptoms have disappeared. The anesthesiologist did a great job as my recovery from anesthesia took less than 24 hours and I had no adverse reaction or symptoms. The clinic staff and nurses were kind & compassionate and took very good care of me. I am very happy with the outcome and highly recommend Dr. Leonard Harris.
I had tumescent liposuction on March 20th to help with abnormalities caused by CoolSculpting. Dr. Harris removed almost 3 litres of fat from my abdomen, flanks, and bra line. Despite needing this procedure thanks to my lack of research and a crappy tech, I’m really happy with my results at 5 days post op. Updated on 31 Mar 2019: I’m a week and a half post op today and things are going really well. The first 2-3 days were pretty brutal, I’m not going to lie. I was incredibly sore (I’m allergic to ibuprofen and narcotics so no pain killers for me) and uncomfortable. My incisions leaked a lot in the first day and a half and really slowed down by the end of day two. Since day 4ish I’ve just been slightly sore but it’s actually been pretty easy since the first few days. Other than the flipping itching! Not my incisions, just all over the treated areas. I’m assuming it’s my nerves waking up but wow is it ever itchy. It’s not as bad as it was a few days ago but I’m still frequently itchy. I had to order a new faja garment from amazon because the one provided by my doctor is basically an abdominal wrap and a corset top and they are constantly shifting around and the areas that are supposed to be compressed aren’t always being covered by the garments because of the shifting. Ill post a picture of what I was given by my doctor. I do have a lot of hard swelling lumps but I’ve also been really active, probably more than recommended. Updated on 5 Apr 2019: I was officially two weeks post op on Wednesday. The swelling has gone down a ton, I have no pain (other than tender to the touch), the itching has finally stopped, and I’m feeling capable of doing my usual activities. I’m really happy with my results so far. I feel like I’m way more confident and I’m doing things that I wouldn’t have ever considered before simply because I was uncomfortable in my body. While the first like 3 days sucked big time and I was like nope would not recommend (and I have a high pain tolerance, I once fell asleep getting a rib tattoo) now that I’m passed that stage I feel like it’s worth it. A few crap days to feel the confidence I do now is worth it. Updated on 24 Apr 2019: I don’t have much to report in terms of aesthetic changes, I haven’t seen a big change since my last post. Which is impressive considering I’ve been a human garbage can of stress the last month. My weight has stayed steady with about a loss of 9ish pounds. My bruising has been gone for weeks and I’m rarely tender to the touch anymore. If I’ve not worn my garment for longer than I should then I do start to feel sore and weirdly unsupported. So I tend to still wear a garment 23 hrs/day. I have a super high compression one that I wear when I’m at home and at night and I have a less bulky and slightly less compression one for during work. It’s just easier to put under clothing and I don’t overheat. I’ll post pictures maybe in another month or so when I see if there’s more changes. Updated on 11 Feb 2021: Two years after and this is still one of the best things I’ve done. It’s completely changed my body shape. I’ve been up to 190lbs since (yes it’s possible to get fat after lipo friends) and back down to 145lbs and my body shape never returned to its pre surgery form. It has made my confidence skyrocket. Just a note about weight gain after lipo, it happens. My body just gained weight differently. My body shape stayed the same just bigger. The photo posted with this post was my body shape before surgery versus today 2 years after the surgery. I had pretty significant love handles that never went away, even at my smallest (which I was not before surgery) and now I have a nice subtle hourglass. Any questions let me know :)
I had a very positive experience with dr Harris and his team. From the day one to the day of surgery and after care was all positive. His team of nurses are wonderful and caring. I had a tummy tuck and jaw contouring done by dr Harris. He listened to what I wanted and was very kind and caring. I recommend dr Harris for anyone who is considering work done. His prices are reasonable and fair. Altrhough it has only been four days after my surgery I feel as though I am going to be very happy with the end result of my tummy tuck. Updated on 21 Mar 2019: Here is what I look like in the same bikini before the surgery and two weeks and three weeks post operation. After three weeks I went to see Dr Harris and it appears I have some fluid built up in my tummy. He used a needle and syringe to remove the fluid and it did not hurt at all. Given that area is completely numb, I felt no pain. Dr Harris is very caring and kind. Updated on 7 Apr 2019: So I’m feeling really good. At week four I started walking straight and no longer haunched over. I had to go back and have more fluid taken out of my tummy at week four. I think I may be ok with the fluid built up aka seroma. Two extractions and 125 cc of fluid. I have more energy and able to take on more chores. Have been doing more around the house and will be back at work next week. I should mention I took 6 weeks off from work to give my body time to heal. I have no regrets in that regard. Best decision I made...of course after having a tummy tuck. I’m an soooo happy with the results and I have been walking an hour or so a day after weeek 2. I am going to get back to the gym and start shaping my new body. Extremely thrilled with my decision to finally go ahead with this procedure after contemplating it for over 20 years. Better late than never.
57 years old. Wish I had done this years ago. Dr. Harris and staff were great and I love the results. I don't have any cons about this experience. Just be sure to research, research, and research. Find a good surgeon you can trust.
Hi The risk of developing ALCL is about 1:3000 cases. The cancer develops surrounding the implant and capsular tissue, Current recommendations are to observe (MRI or Ultrasound) and if there is fluid surrounding the imant to aspirate and test for ALCL. If positive then capsulectomy and explant. If negative then repeat every 2 yrs. If you have problems with your implants such as pain, capsular contractures, BII symptoms, then capsulectomy and explant are good options. I would not just replace textured implants with smooth unless a total capsulectomy was performed as there have been cases of ALCL after this was done - you need to remove the capsular tissue as this is were the lymphoma develops.
Hi. My advice would be to remove the implants and all capsular tissue (enbloc if possible), wait at least 6 months and then decide if you want reaugmentation. Reasons: 1) You have had multiple complications already 2) Your inframmary folds are not even 3) You are at a high risk of developing capsular contractures in the future. You should allow the breasts to recover and the inframmary folds to heal. Reaugmentation after 6-12 months will be easier and more predictable. If the capsular tissue is not removed, you do not remove the inciting cause of inflammation and subsequent capsular tissue formation, as this tissue may be contaminated with bacteria or cytokines from biofilm formation. I would not recommend any implants until your breasts have recovered. Good luck
Hi. Arnica alone or in combination with bromelain is often prescribed prior to surgery. While bromelain has been shown to be clinically effective, the data around arnica is less convincing. We have found that perioperative supplementation with a product called Vivanta Surgical Recovery System works extremely well and has been clinically proven to reduce pain, swelling and opioid use. Vivanta has become part of our clinics standard ERAS protocol.
Look for a surgeon that has implemented an ERAS (enhanced recovery after surgery) protocol. This includes education, standardized pre-operative and intraoperative medications, nerve blocks and perisurgical supplementation. In our clinic we use a product called Vivanta which reduces inflammation and the need for post operative narcotics.Surgery will never be pain free, but can be quite tolerable without use of narcotics.
HelloVaser liposuction destroys the fat cells and they can not be used for fat grafting. As Dr. Heirs mentioned, fat grafting only results in a very small augmentation. I would wait until you are ready for a lift - that appears to be the most appropriate procedure for you.
