This review is more focused on the real cost break down. I'll update my results monthly. I've noticed many really low numbers that don't mimic my personal costs. I have decent insurance, so I was curious if people were just listing their copay for the medication and not everything else that's required. Here's my breakdown for 5 months treatment for a guy (women will be more expensive): 1st Derm Visit: $40 1st Blood work: $50 1st Script: $55 2nd Derm Visit: $40 2nd Blood work: $50 2nd Script: $55 3rd Derm Visit: $40 3rd Script: $55 4th Derm Visit: $40 4th Script: $55 5th Derm Visit: $40 5th Script: $55 Probably a 6th and final Derm Visit: $40 For a Grand Total of $520 If you're a women you'll need to be on two forms of birth control for one month prior to use or abstain from sex for 6 months (yikes!). You will also have to factor in pregnancy tests monthly. On top of that you have to complete an online course monthly. Updated on 13 Dec 2014: Only been on for a few days but I have noticed some mild drying. Mainly lips, scalp, and nose. I picked up some Saline nose spray as winter is usually rough for me with nose bleeds. So I'm trying to prevent that at all cost. I didn't use shampoo this morning and that seemed to help. Lips I'm just using the run of the mill chap stick. I'm also sticking with my regular acne routine until I notice real facial dryness. Wiping my forehead still produces a fair amount of grease. The only difference is I'm only spot treating pimples at night and not smearing it over my entire face. Updated on 15 Dec 2014: Well I just checked my insurance claims and it looks like they are covering all the blood work. So that brings my original estimate of $520 to $420. Always nice when your insurance surprises you in a good way! I'm only on day 5 and my lips are officially addicted to chap stick. I have had a few pimples pop up but nothing terrible. I did seem to have some light sensitivity when driving home last night. Don't know if that's normal, but it felt like everyone had their high beams on. I'm not usually on the road at night, so I see this affecting me too much. Updated on 18 Dec 2014: Week one finished and I have more zits than usual. Hopefully this is the initial breakout and it does't get any worse. No new side effects, just the normal dry skin.
