I don't know why I've waited so long. I'm from the uk and travelled to Prague as I just couldn't afford the price in the UK. I'm so happy and I can't fault the clinic or surgeon at all. Brilliant experience and would recommend to anyone that wants a reduction and lift that can't afford the UK prices Updated on 11 Jan 2022: The healing has been so much easier than I expected. Managed to go back to the gym today.
April 9th 2019 I had a fully tummy tuck and liposuction the my flanks. I decided to have my surgery abroad with Dr Josef kulhanek in Prague! I had been wanting this surgery for so long 4 years to be exact. I booked my surgery with praga medica and I was contacted by a member of there team Brigita! From the start to the end of my experience has been amazing and my results are better than I expected! Only 8 days post OP and I'm doing amazingly well! The liposuction healing hurts more than anything it's like a continuous ache!
had full Rhinoplasty surgery 12th November 2018 4 months ago. I'm over the moon with the results. I'm from the UK I felt very nervous going to another country for surgery but it was so much cheaper than the UK so I thought I'd go for it and after looking at many different companies I came across beauty in Prague and after reading so many good reviews I knew it was The one Beauty in Prague was amazing from the moment I arrived in the clinic they made me feel so welcome and explained exactly what was going to happen that day. They done all my pre op tests to make sure I was well enough for surgery and I also got to meet my surgeon Dr. Josef Kulhánek for the first time. He was amazing and so professional and gave me chance to ask questions. Later that day I had the surgery. The Nurses were all lovely they all were Czech and spoke little English but you could still understand and communicate with them. They were always checking if I was feeling ok or needed anything. After 2 days I got to leave the clinic and went back to my apartment to recover. I had to wear a cast for 10 days after my surgery but I still managed to get out and about and experience a bit of Prague even if I did get a few stares. On my 7th day check-up my surgeon took off my cast and I saw my new nose for the first time I was amazed and so happy couldn't believe how different it looked. Dr. Josef Kulhánek is absolutely amazing and had changed my life. I feel so much more confident now and I'm so glad I went with beauty in Prague
Thank you for putting me at ease & answering all my questions post op. I am very pleased with my results & they have changed my life for the better. I have been recommending you to people who have asked about my surgery. Kind regards Jennifer
After 2 kids and breast implants 9 years ago, I was so unhappy with my breasts. They were so saggy and you cold see the implant and a ridged over the skin. I was very anxious about going to Prague for surgery on my own, but it's only an hour and a half from Gatwick. Fast forward. Dr kulhanek is without a doubt an AMAZING surgeon. I'm only 3 weeks post op and actually can't believe how great my new boobs look. It's like he's given me completely new breasts I never imagined they'd actually be this good. The shape, they look so natural, couldn't be happier thank you soooooo much [RS bleep] Updated on 17 Dec 2018:
I chose to have a chin lipo at the same time as having an arm lift. I flew from England to Czechoslovakia on Monday and was picked up by a member of the clinic on Tuesday morning at 7 a.m. I had my blood test urine test and ECG done. Then a chat with a GP who did my blood pressure manually it was a little low. Within half an hour I had a chat with my surgeon and was given the go ahead. This brings us up to 9 o'clock in the morning I had my surgery at 10:30 and I woke up at 16.00. When I woke up I was in a huge amount of pain and it did take about 5 minutes to bring it under control which is unfortunate. The after that event I have no more pain for many hours. I was given tea and biscotti and frequently visited by different nurses to check I was ok most of the time I was sleeping. The nurses help me to the toilet but that was all I needed there help for. I time I needed to go to the toilet for my second wee I was able to walk unescorted just carrying the two drains I had one in each other. Still not in any pain. All I was wearing was a pair of pants and on garments to stop the swelling also my face was bandaged. That night at 10 o'clock I was given a sleeping tablet both my arms were leaking fluid and a little blood but not much. In the morning the surgeon came to see me and I was given the all clear to go to my hotel I have a phone to contact the clinic and a check up date for 6 days time. I was also given a bag with dressings although I'm not sure how I'll be able to change them as I'm on my own. At 9 a.m. I left the clinic got a taxi to the hotel I have pre booked. Making sure I made them aware I was there for recovery so I could have my meals brought to my room so far the staff have been amazing (hotel frydl) I was not able to sleep during the day and only had two hours that night as I felt like vomiting though I did eat and that have been the cause. Today is Thursday I have slept on and off all day and I no longer feel like I need to vomit. Both of my arms are still leaking small amounts and apart from the new garment they gave me for my head being quite tight I have no issues with my throat. My right arm and hand with swollen so I put them up on pillows higher than my heart and lay down for a few hours and they seem to be going down rather quickly. I spoke to my PA that works for the clinic and have asked to see the surgeon before Tuesday so that they can change my dressings for me. I am still waiting on an answer. (Prague medica)
I have been hating my belly, back fat, and arms for quite some time, and figured vaser would make a significant difference to those areas. I decided to do vaser on all these areas, plus my flanks, as I thought I'd get a much nicer body shape, and finally a waist. I wanted a curvy figure with a noticeable waist. I'm only 13 days post op, but I really thought I'd see a much better result on my belly. I was realistic and wasn't expecting it to be flat, but I was expecting a much better result after looking at hundreds of before and after photos online of women with a similar body shape to mine. I kind of think I wasted my money, and that I should have just saved longer and done it in England. Instead I went abroad because I was just so excited to do it, and now I'm disappointed overall. My first week was really painful for me, then it slowly began to subside. I'm still a bit swollen but I think the majority has gone down. I have lots of hardness which I hope will be gone in the next month or so. I was given rolling pin to use on myself. After all the swelling and hardness is gone, I'll be looking into getting it done again, as I believe a much better result can definitely be achieved. I've read that the arms can take the longest to see results, so I'm not disappointed by that yet, but my belly, I expected a lot more. There is one positive though. The difference on my back has been huge. I'm really pleased with that at least. I just wish the difference on my belly was that noticeable. Yes I know it's still early but I just know the result won't be that great. I will add more photos in a couple of weeks to update you on my progress.
Lovely man, made me feel at ease as I am such a wimp when it comes to pain. Only 3days post op but breasts looking really good and symmetrical which I wasn't expecting as other surgeons had told me I would need a lift as well as Implants so the outcome is better than expected so far. ***UPDATE***Update from early review! Was just as amazing as I thought.... scarring is minimal barely visible.. loving my new breasts look fab! Will definitely be going back when I gain the courage for needles ha Thank you Dr Kulhanek x
So I've finally gotten around to booking my rhinoplasty in Prague. I've booked With DR Josef Kulhánek. I got really nervous once I paid my deposit, it felt so real! I like the front view of my face, but really hate the profile. I would like a curve in my bridge, and hate the way the tip droops down. I've included some photos, Including a before and after photo of what I'd hope my end result will be like. My friends all think I shouldn't get it done, do you think it would benefit me? I would love to speak to other people that have had it done, or that are having it done. I am curious if anyone has ever travelled for rhinoplasty, what did you do to keep entertained(Particularly if you went to Prague), and were you nervous about going out with your cast? Did your friends and family notice you had it done? Updated on 15 Mar 2015: I am getting my surgery tomorrow. Feeling really weird at the moment. I guess I am kind of excited but am feeling a little depressed for some reason, I never get depressed either so it's strange. I went out last night which was probably a bit of a mistake... I think the mixture of excitement and worry has driven me a little mad at this stage, Plus it's a bit weird being in a foreign country like this and I have not found the people in the Czech republic to be very nice so far. I really just want it to be done at this sage I am going to post a couple last before photos here and will update regularly from there. When should I start taking arnica and if anyone has any pre-op tips that'd be great! Thanks guys :) Updated on 16 Mar 2015: So I'm going shortly. So so so nervous but more excited. Talk to you all after! Updated on 16 Mar 2015: People that say it's not painful are wrong! Also not being able to breath through your nose is messed up! I had a full on asthma attack after surgery which was way worse due to my nose being blocked up! Feeling really good now though and positive, although that might just be the painkillers ;) any tips to make the recovery easier would be great :D Updated on 17 Mar 2015: So I feel good, the nurses and everyone here have been great, Very accommodating But I got a look at the end of my nose and I look like a pig - Literally! Check out the pic and lemme know what you think?? Hopefully it does not turn out anything like that once the swelling goes down. Updated on 19 Mar 2015: I feel good today, went out to a restaurant to get some food and have a look around Prague (Such a beautiful city) Felt pretty good - got scammed into paying nearly 60e ($70) for a basic meal but apart form that all went well! The swelling around my eyes has gone down and I'm still rocking that piggy look but my surgeon assured me that this was normal and should start to subside in about a week. I'm still having trouble getting to sleep on my back and am worried that I will roll over. Feeling very positive and even with the bandage my side profile is looking better than what it was. I am feeling pretty bad about lying to all my friends who are asking what I'm up to here in Prague, I've told them I've come alone and I think they all know something's up, The thing I feel worst about is the fact I did not tell my mum and That I've lied to her also. At the end of the day though this is my business and if I've decided I don't want to tell anyone that's my choice. Updated on 20 Mar 2015: I currently sound like siri because my nose is so blocked up, I am terrified if I blow my nose though that it will explode or something, so I'm leaving it off for now. It's certainly not the nicest feeling I must say. They did give me these strange long pieces of stick with cotton buds on the end for cleaning my nose, they're handy at times but certainly don't manage to break through the wall of congealed blood and stuff that blocks up most of my nose. If one thing is for sure, recovering from a nose job is certainly not the most glamorous of affairs... Looking like you just got into a fight with a full biker gang, and literally having blood stained tissues EVERYWHERE (I do clean but I need so many!!!) and having to constantly regurgitate all the god knows what that's clogging your sinuses every 5 minutes is not nice oh... and not to mention the horrible breakout that is developing on my face due to the fact that I cannot wash my face even a little bit. On the plus side I'm feeling pretty positive and am confident it'll all be worth it in the end ;)! I'm really glad that I opted to undergo this surgery abroad though as I would not like anyone I know to see me in this state! Updated on 24 Mar 2015: So I had my third check up today and the doctor said I can remove the cast to wash my face, but it should be left on at all other times. It took some time to get used to, but I like the result now. Initially I thought it was too small. Also, for some weird reason I think it makes me look much younger. What do you guys think of it? Updated on 25 Mar 2015: The swelling on my nose has gone down an awful lot, I'm loving the results though. I think when you first get the cast off it's a bit of a shock but it takes time to grow on you. I definitely prefer my new nose and am happy with the result, Very happy! I only really fully appreciated it after looking through some pre op photos...
Had a tummy tuck a couple years ago that left my thighs, rear, and knees a mess for some reason, so decided to do lipo to try to get it back like it was before. Went to a clinic called Beauty in Prague. All seemed good initially, the downstairs staff are pleasant if somewhat disorganized at times. There is a lot of waiting the day of surgery, and remember you haven't eaten since the day before. I think I was taken up for the procedure around 4pm or so. Basically the downstairs environment and staff are pleasant, upstairs care was very poor. Problem: After the surgery: The pain med given was Novalgin, an over the counter med with very poor reviews for effective. I can tell you from my experience that it is very poor pain relief: minimal to none. I was in a lot of pain after the lipo which was on my back, flanks abdomen, inner thighs, outer thighs, and knees. I kept telling nurse I needed something stronger. I was literally in tears and I do not tear easily. After between 2 or 3 hours she came in to give me a "shot" for pain. I asked why I was getting a shot when I had an IV in my arm but got no response. So she gives the shot in my hip right in the freshly lipo area! Holy crap that hurt. So I felt a little better for a few hours but then the pain returned I slept maybe 3-4 hours all night. I didn't get anything else for pain (except the useless novalgin). I was also vomiting and the night nurse just left it sitting on my bed table. The smell was terrible as the other two women in the small room were also vomiting. I was never helped to the bathroom and the door was pulled and all lights turned out. They also took my personal items that I wanted with me as they said there was no place in the room for bags. The bag was locked up somewhere downstairs and the items I pulled out were placed in a locker two rooms awake. Problem is you are not able to get up and get to your locker so you have no access to your belongings you take. I lay awake, in pain, starving (no dinner given, not even a cup of soup). The next morning I just wanted out of there, breakfast was given (a piece of dry toast and a tea). A box of Novalgin was given (tossed in trash), and I was released. The compression garment was cheaply made and poor fitting and no foam was placed beneath the hard areas leaving indentations in the skin. The week without pain management was bad, I had also traveled alone. In my country opiate pain management is a given after a surgical procedure. In some countries it is not the norm so be careful. I am 10 days out, still hurting, and getting ready to fly home tomorrow. I am not sure how the lipo will turn out but the experience in this clinic was very disappointing.
Dear OneZenRn,How soon you can return back to work depends on the extent of your surgery and type of job you have. It should be advised by your surgeon who performed your tummy tuck. In general I advise to my patients to avoid a heavy physical effort for two weeks after the surgery. After 14 days short walks are feasible as well very slow increasing physical strain. You can go back to a sedentary job after 3-4 weeks, to a job that involves physical activity 6 weeks after the surgery . For the period of 6 to 8 weeks I recommend to wear compression garment, which can be removed only for needs of personal hygiene.Wishing you a speedy recovery :-)
