I recently had an upper and lower blepharoplasty with Dr. Frankel under sedation. I'm only 10 days out, so I'll post pictures once the swelling and bruising is gone, but I can already really see a difference. A subtle, natural one, which is what I wanted. I went with Dr Frankel even though he didn't have any reviews on RealSelf because of his Instagram. His results make patients look refreshed and relaxed, and awake. When you look at full-face before and after photos on his page you can't always tell what a patient has had done, just that they look better in their after photo. That's what I wanted. He's also smart and kind, and has a great support staff. Already planning to go with him for a lower facelift when finances allow. Updated on 14 Jan 2022: Adding some pictures. First two are in full makeup before surgery. The bottom picture is about a month out of surgery, no makeup. I had no blurry vision, no dry eye, no lower lid retraction. Zero complications, just redness and swelling, which I managed with Tylenol and cold compresses. If you're Covid conscious like me, Dr. Frankel is a good way to go - all my appointments were virtual until the actual surgery, and follow-ups have been virtual at my request. I can really see a difference, and everyone is telling me I look so well rested lol. Updated on 12 Jun 2022: I don't even worry about my eyes at all anymore. I wear contacts, I look cute with eye makeup, and I have a lot more confidence than I used to have. My family and husband all said I didn't need to do it, that they didn't see a problem, but afterward they have all said that I look so much more relaxed, and that I look 'like I used to.' Go with Dr. Frankel.
Thank you for your question. Childhood mouth-breathing can effect facial development, especially of the upper and lower jaw. It is not uncommon for children with nasal obstruction to have restricted growth of the maxilla, depending on what interventions were made and at what age. Mid-facial volume can be added by fat grafting to compensate for the aesthetics of maxillary deficiency, when appropriate. Fillers and implants are also acceptable alternatives, depending on the patient's goals and clinician's experience. I would recommend consultation with an experienced surgeon who has an understanding of facial development and who will perform a thorough examination of your facial anatomy and dental occlusion. This information will help guide you and your surgeon to create an optimal treatment plan.
Thank you for your question. The septum is the wall that divides both sides of your nose. The front part of your septum is composed of cartilage and the back part of your septum is composed of thin bone. Both sides of the cartilage and bone are covered by a thin layer of tissue called mucoperichondrium. Septal deviation can sometimes be apparent on full-face and basal views in photographs. Based on photographs alone, I do not see evidence of severe dorsal (bridge of nose) or caudal (bottom of nose) septal deviation. However, a physical examination should be performed to assess for the presence and degree of septal deviation. It is best to see a board-certified surgeon with an expertise in nasal surgery to better evaluate for septal deviation and nasal obstruction. I hope that helps!
Thank you for your question. From your photographs, it appears that there is deviation of both the bony and cartilaginous portions of of your nose. Oftentimes, external deviation is accompanied by internal deviation or narrowing, which may contribute to nasal obstruction. Deviation can be congenital or acquired, such as from trauma or surgery. Internal and external deviation can become more noticeable following times of more rapid development, as growth can exaggerate pre-existing deviation. Everyone has some degree of facial asymmetry. For some patients, a straighter nose can help balance overall symmetry. Photographs are helpful but not a substitute for a thorough physical exam and medical history. I recommend consulting a board-certified surgeon with extensive experience in rhinoplasty. I hope this helps!
Ultherapy is the only FDA-cleared, non-surgical treatment that lifts and tightens the skin of the face and neck. Although the results are typically more modest than a surgical facelift, Ultherapy is an effective non-invasive way for patients to achieve facial rejuvenation without any incisions. There is virtually no downtime. I do recommend that patients take an anti-anxiety medication and ibuprofen prior to the procedure to make the treatment more comfortable. It is a well-tolerated therapy with noticeable results that extend for 2 years, on average. It is important to have the treatment performed by a skilled clinician to ensure optimal results.
Thank you for your inquiry. The cost of Ultherapy treatments depends on the number and size of the areas being treated. A range of pricing can be given over the phone. Beware of pricing that sounds too good to be true. I have had patients tell me that during prior experiences elsewhere, their treatments were very quick and they were only treated at one tissue level. Treatment directed to at least two, and usually three, tissue levels is necessary for optimal results. I tailor treatments to the specific individual and can give a more precise quote following examination and in-depth consultation.
