Transgender FtM Top Surgery Went Extremely Successfully!

I cannot express how great my experience was from start to finish with Dr. Reilly. I had received top surgery with him, and was very anxious about the whole process. He was extremely thorough, explaining the entire procedure, recovery, and effects. The staff was also extremely welcoming, warm, and affirming. I felt no judgement and everyone used my preferred name and pronouns without fail. Even right before the surgery, I was calm because the entire hospital was nice, respectful, and explained everything. If there are any other transgender FtM patients who are interested in top surgery, do not hesitate to reach out to Dr. Reilly's office. Everyone is informed and extremely kind. The fact I was a 42H and now completely flat is a miracle. I also felt comfortable reaching out whenever I was slightly worried about something. I also want to point out that I am a chubby POC. Oftentimes in the community we do not see representation of fat, BIPOC transmen. I wanted to let those like me know that regardless of melanin or weight, you can have a completely flat, masculine chest with thin scars. I was so nervous about large, dark keloids, but instead I just have a thin, pale line that extends from one side of my body to the other, and reshaped pectorals. I had the privilege of being able to pay out of pocket for the surgery, but there are insurance options available. I can't thank him and the staff enough for my incredible experience!
