I had my surgery with Dr. Orlas three months ago. He exceeded my expectations by far. I had been looking forward to having my procedure done for a very long time. Years to be honest. This is not an easy decision to make and there a lot of things to take into count before going thru with plastic surgery. I had a liposuction, fat transfer and tummy tuck done. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I had been searching for the right doctor for a very long time. I live in south Florida so the good ones are supposed to be here. But what led me to decide to get the procedure in Colombia with this doctor specifically were many. First of all, I needed to make sure that I was going to be taken care of. I have a family and we all know many things can happen since we are talking about major surgery, such in my case. I had visited a number of doctors here in Florida and though I was almost sure I was going to one that has excellent reviews because of the care he provides to patients, it was still not enough for me. I have to admit that after having my surgery with Dr. Orlas, I don’t think I would have made it here considering that after a cosmetic procedure they send you home and you are literally on your own after you cross the door. Dr. Orlas went above and beyond all my expectations. He did not only answer all my questions before my arrival in Colombia, but he took the time to make sure I was in good shape before traveling for the surgery. He is not going to offer you miracles, he will be as honest as he can get, so you don’t have false expectations. And the MOST IMPORTANT thing for me, he did take care of me as a person, not just one more client. I had tests done before the surgery. He made sure everything was ok. I visited the hospital where I was going to have the surgery, which is part of one of the best universities in Colombia for medicine students, so my anesthesiologist ended up being a professor at that university. I had the option of a private clinic but then I thought, if the professors are here, in case something goes wrong I am in the right place. No, nothing went wrong. Everyone in that hospital treated me with such care and respect I’m considering going back only to thank them all. I was sent back to where I was staying the same day of the procedure, but I had a nurse with me. She stayed with me for three days! No way I was going to have that here! It was included in the price, but let me tell you, she was the best nurse ever! She would check on me all the time. I wanted her to take a break and she wouldn’t do it. She would be checking my vitals very often and giving me my medication, also included, and making sure I was comfortable. She helped me taking showers and even did my hair. Let me tell you again, no way that would have happened here unless I had lots of money to afford a private nurse. And then came the lady who gave me my lymphatic massage. Very nice lady and caring. 10 sessions, also included in the price. The doctor saw me three more times before leaving and let me tell you his work was flawless. I tend to bruise easily and I hardly had any bruising after the surgery. Three months later I have no bruises and just the slowly fading scar from the tummy tuck. The first two days after surgery were pretty bad, mostly because hello??? I hadn’t major surgery! It is going to be like that. You just had someone take fat out of your body and in my case cut my skin. It’s going to hurt but everything is over before you know it. I’m just glad I chose him. If you do, you won’t be sorry. He is a truly dedicated doctor. I’m still in touch with him and he always responds promptly. I wish all doctors were like that. I’ll try to post pics. I have my before and after. I went from a size 8 to a 4. I have the body I never had even before becoming a mom. But most important of all, I’m alive and well because he is a gifted professional and took excellent care of me. I have to thank Dr. Orlas and his team for that. Thank you!
