I was very nervous to have this procedure but I felt comfortable with having Dr Lee do it because I know he does these so frequently and that it's very routine for him. The day of the procedure you sign your consents and have a few minutes to discuss any concerns with the Dr. I was too scared to actually be able to think of any questions, so you might want to plan ahead if you have questions to ask. They gave me a dose of oral clonidine (to prevent bleeding) and a dose of oral ativan (for anxiety relief and comfort) . Then I waited for maybe 30 minutes or so, again I couldn't tell how long because I was feeling very nervous. They took me into the procedure room and I laid down and they showed me how to use the pronox gas for anxiety relief. They draped my head and then Dr Lee numbed my eyes with numbing drops followed by more numbing by needle but it wasn't very painful. There was a second of feeling a small pinch but it was never overtly painful. During the procedure I couldn't really see what was going on which was a relief. I could occasionally hear the sounds of things being zapped and you can feel the pressure of things being pulled. I felt a bit anxious, but I just took deep breaths of the pronox gas and this helped. During the course of the procedure I would say I never felt more than 3/10 pain. The swelling was the worst around day 3 post op. I felt like moving my eyes to look at things felt a bit sore. My eyes in general just felt very tender but again, nothing so overtly painful that a little tylenol and ice pack couldn't help.I have continued to have some mild swelling and bruising. I'm currently day 12 post op. I can appreciate a small amount of swelling and a very faint fading bruise, but I would say most people can't really see it. I'm very pleased with the results. I can't wait to see how it will look when the swelling has completely resolved. My eyes looks much more rested. I don't look fatigued because of the bags anymore because they're gone! If this is something you've been considering, I can tell you that I'm very happy with my decision to have this procedure done and I would consider having an upper bleph with Dr Lee as well since this experience went so well. First post op visit was very quick check in just to make sure everything was ok and address any issues. The only question I ever had was on day 3 and they give you Dr Lee's phone number and he addressed all my questions very quickly. I have another follow up 1 month post op. The results can only get better as the swelling goes down. I would do it again for sure.
I had the BEST experience with Dr. Castelli, his wife and the office staff! I had a bad experience at another doctors office and they took such good care of me and resolved my problem. I have my confidence back and feel great! I would highly recommend! I will never go anywhere else for treatment. Thank you !!!
I wrestled back and forth about having this surgery for 3 years. I actually scheduled my surgery two years ago then canceled at the last minute. Christina called me talked with me about my hesitation. Instead of keeping my contracted nonrefundable deposit she offered to use my deposit for another service until I felt comfortable rebooking. I didn't feel any pressure and in fact a year later I had my surgery. I feel refreshed. I finally feel like the outside reflects how I feel on the inside.
I had an Asian upper eyelid blepharoplasty with Dr. Lee. He and his team were extremely professional and took the time to answer all questions, and I felt very comfortable going into the procedure and with all follow up care. Very happy with the result and healing time.
Dr. Lee and his staff were absolutely wonderful throughout the process of my lower blepharoplasty. After researching several plastic surgeons in the Philadelphia area, I felt very comfortable booking a consultation with Dr. Lee.His experience and knowledge of plastic surgery around the eyes made me instantly feel at ease. He was thorough, explained the procedure in great detail, and made sure to answer any questions I had during my consultation. The day of the my surgery he and his staff were patient and created a calm environment to ease my anxiety. Throughout my recovery they stayed in touch to monitor my progress and I always felt like a priority with them. I'm so incredibly happy with the results from my procedure and would highly recommend Dr. Lee and his office!
Yesterday I finally had my lower blepharoplasty with Dr. Lee. I was nervous but knew I was in good hands. I had local anesthesia so I was awake the entire time. But, I felt nothing! Just keep breathing using the laughing gas and you will be fine. I'm super swollen and had double vision after I got out. But, this AM I'm seeing just fine. Still no pain, just swollen and slightly uncomfortable. Just took Tylenol. I'm supposed to ice my eyes every hour for 15min. Prescription eye drops need to be taken 2x/day. That's pretty much it for after care. I'll try to post a daily pic in case anyone is interested in the process. Btw, Krissy was awesome with making everything go smoothly. Updated on 10 Feb 2021: I’m having issues loading clear pics. But, I’m still pretty swollen. No pain. The swelling spread to other parts of my face. My cheeks are huge. I was hoping the swelling would have been reduced more by now. I am icing now every 4hours. Thank goodness for these masks bc I can cover up the tape with the masks. The compression tape gets removed in 2 days. Updated on 17 Feb 2021: I got my compression tape removed 7 days later, but I was still quite swollen. They said it wasn’t typical. I was quiet concerned concerned bc I had a work presentation in a few days. The swelling finally went down yesterday and today. My under eye area is still sensitive to touch (not painful). Still slight pressure in my eye as well when I make certain moves. I can begin working out in 2 days. Next appt is in 3 weeks. Updated on 8 Mar 2021: So, I’m really happy the results. For me healing took almost a month. But the swelling wasn’t really visible to others after the 2nd week. I also did facial acupuncture 4 weeks after to get the lymphatic system working and blood flowing in my face.
4 stars is for Dr. Lee's staff. They answer all my emails. I have not met Dr. Lee or staff yet. Looking forward to meeting everyone Hello Ladies Question Can I have this surgery all by myself lol. I live far. I do plan to stay near the office until I'm done with my post op appointments. Another Question Is there any tricks I should know of. I want to do this alone! Thanks in advance gorgeous!!!
All the staff and of course Dr. Lee are great. I have done Botox in my forehead; friends had noticed that I look better, but they can’t realized that I have done Botox, because I look very natural. It’s incredible that now I look younger than a few years ago.
I did my research on Dr. Lee -- whose expertise with regard to facial plastic surgery is unmatched -- and I could not be more pleased with the result or with the dedication of Dr. Lee and his staff! His work focuses SOLELY on the face (an important point for those of you considering!), and I traveled a significant distance to have him complete an upper blepharoplasty . Post-operatively, my look is completely natural and refreshed (and yes, my family reports I look 15 years younger, for those of you who are numerically-oriented!). Highly recommend(-:
Dr. Lee removed my puffy eye bags. That puffy tired look is gone! I was so happy with those results, I did some fillers and Botox. I can’t overemphasize the difference it made. Having had Botox done by others, Dr. Lee is in a league of his own. I live 30 miles away but would never go anywhere else. I forgot to mention, when I first consulted with Dr Lee he discouraged me from doing some eyelid work he didn’t think I needed....that is the kind of Doctor I want...someone who is looking out for your best interests and not just making money. The staff and value you get for your money is tremendous. I can’t recommend him any more highly.
I perform this procedure on many Asian patients who want wider or elongated eyes. They do not like the pulling/webbing that occurs at the inner corners and want a sharper more striking appearance. Please review my photo gallery.
