1 more month of accutane, Its really working :) (8 Month Run) - Northbrook, IL

Hello, My name is Andrew and i am a 14 year old teen. I have been struggling with severe cystic acne for almost three years. I had a very bad experience with the first dermatologist i went to see two years ago. Now I have had 13 different topical/oral antibiotics prescribed to me. I decided that enough is enough about 2 weeks ago and saw another different dermatologist today. He IMMEDIATELY told me that I was a perfect candidate for Accutane and to start ASAP. So I got my blood work done and now I am holding it in my hands. I cant wait to start taking this so called miracle drug and will be posting bi-weekly updates/pictures throughout my Accutane journey. Updated on 4 Mar 2015: So, I have been on accutane for a little over a week now and I have to say my skin is getting worse, which I know is very normal so im glad its working. My lips and skin have been getting VERY dry as well which I also know is very normal. The main part of my body that is getting dry are the backs of my hands, like sandpaper dry. So, I have a couple of products that have worked wonders for me so far and don't irritate my skin or lips. For my lips I use the mini travel sized tubes of Aquaphor which keeps your lips so nice and moist which I like. Also for the backs of my hands I use Eucerin: Original Repair Creme (in the tub NOT the bottle) which works wonders for my dry skin. I will be posting pictures of my face so you can see my progress. I also appreciate very much the tip of drinking water which I will start to drink more of. If you have any questions post in the comments! :) See you next week :) Updated on 29 Oct 2015: I know I didn't? post any updates during my journey but thats what comes with being a busy teenager. Well, my journey is almost over. I have one month more and after that im done. I can say that my skin has never looked any better and I am finally confident with how I look. I will post pictures but the difference is uncanny. If you have any questions please leave them in the comments I would be happy to answer them. I will post when my journey is over and tell you all that I experienced.
