I'm 41. My weight has fluctuated a lot over the last 20 years and I have terrible jowls. Unless I'm smiling broadly, I feel like i look mad and old. I have tried fillers and a threadlift, nothing has really worked to improve the loose skin. My surgery is scheduled for June 19, 2025
First day post op Oh man, terrible sleep last night. Slept 12-1 then 430 - 830. Major pain when i woke up, took pain meds and i am feeling better. I keep trying to help andrew and he wont let me. The surgical staff at Victoria Surgery were amazing yesterday. So kind. Great bedside mannor, all 5 in the operating room made me feel so comfortable. I woke up very hot and nauseous, but that wore off very quickly. Ill see the nurse this morning.Day 2 post op. Made it home yesterday on the 325 boat. Home to relax. Slept so much better, up every 3 hours to freshen up my ice bags to help with the swelling. My range of motion is more than i thought id have. Still being super careful. Very happy to be home in my own bed Day 4 post op. Had a great sleep last night. Went and got my hair washed and rebraided this morning. Feeling much better today. Everyday is better. Less ice and less pain meds as the days go. Still taking tylenol and advil round the clock. Still having limitations, cant let the dogs out or open windows. Not able to cook or clean. Goal is to drive on Thursday. Swelling is down. Overall very happy. Will post more as the time goes Updated on 12 Jan 2023: Day 7 post op. I didnt add some details, im 5'4" about 150 lbs, i had a small A cup, when I started and got 450 ccs of sailene on both sides . Feeling really good today, able to do more things around the house. Only tylenol now for pain every 5 hours or so. Updated on 16 Jan 2023: Yesterday was 10 days post op. They are feeling better. My left has more pain than the right side, but i also noticed that i have a flat spot. I looked at other healing photos from other people and it looks normal for the healing process. Hopefully it does even out. Back to work today, been using ice to help the sore spots, it does help. And still having tl take the odd tylenol dose to alleviate some pain as well. Im able to do a lot more comapred to a week ago, but still need to take breaks if im moving too much.
I had a consultation with Dr Gray about 7 months ago for liposuction of the abdomen. I felt comfortable with him which is great! because that made its easy to tell him what I was hoping to achieve. I am on the smaller side with some natural curves but was carrying more weight on my abdomen in comparison. I am 25, 5'2 and roughly 115 lbs. I didn't have so much fat on the sides but more of cello shaped fat on the front part of my belly. About a month ago I had the procedure done at the Victoria Surgery Clinic. It went well and seemed pretty simple. I did not like waking up from the anesthesia but I personally just don't like the feeling of being on any drugs or napping either. I woke up with no pain at all and had my mom drive me home and hangout with me for the 24 hours that you cant be alone. The next day I was a little swollen but not too much. I wore the garment and hung out in my boyfriends yard but stayed out of the sun as I heard the heat can make you swell up more. The next 3 days were the worst of the swelling but it still wasn't really that bad. During day 2 and 3 I took the optional pain medication but after that I didn't need any. I was able to do my laundry and drive to a friends house, no one would have known that I had had anything done! After the first week I got my stitches out by one of his nurses and felt medium-mild swelling with only very mild soreness. Over the next two weeks the swelling slowly went down and I wore loose clothing. By week 3 I did not fit the wrap around garment I had been provided with and bought a smaller size one from Sears that looked just like under clothes which he recommended I do. I started to wear summer dresses but stayed out of the direct sun light during the hottest hours of the day and continued to wear the garment I bought from Sears. I am now at one month post op and just have a few scars that aren't super noticeable with some help of concealer. I am very happy with the results of the procedure so far. My abdomen is only mildly swollen below the belly button where the most fat was removed. I don't regret getting abdominal liposuction! and I am happy I got it done by Jason Gray. He did exactly what I was hoping for which was removing the cello shaped fat that hung out in the front of me. My stomach is pretty much flat now. Probably wont wear a bikini just yet, but pretty soon will! That being said it has only been a month and I know results can take up to 12 months. Will update with before and after pictures soon.
Dr. Gray is amazing and so compassionate, the staff warm and welcoming. I felt so reassured. He took the time to explain everything in the most caring manner. Almost no pain after my Breast Reduction 6 weeks ago and I am very, very happy with the outcome. Thank you Dr. Gray and everybody who was taking care of me.
I’ve been thinking about a reduction since I was a teenager. I’m 25 years old and was a a 34FF/34G before surgery. I’ve been home recovering for about 6 hours and am feeling pretty good! I can’t even express how happy I am that I did this. Can’t wait to see how I’m feeling over the next few days! Updated on 11 Dec 2018: I have never been happier. This is the greatest decision I’ve ever made and the only thing I regret is not doing it sooner! I am healing quick - I’ve been sleeping lots, icing, and also taking anti-inflammatory naturopathic which has been a huge help. I had my post-op appointment today and they told me everything is good! There is bruising, obviously, but otherwise everything is perfect!! Updated on 11 Dec 2018:
He was very nice and did not appear judgemental at all. I had a humpectomy a year ago and have had no problems. My nose looks exactly how I expected it would after seeing the edited picture he showed me in the consultation. It looks very natural and there never was a visible scar which is amazing. I am not sure how there never was a visible scar. No one I know has noticed that I got my nose done because it new one suits my face. I spent a solid week inside my house waiting for my nose to heal and then there was just minimal bruising for another week. I have absolutely no regrets getting this done!
I had breast reduction surgery with Dr. Gray 12 days ago. I am so happy with the results so far. My breasts were large and pendulus after nursing two children and gaining and losing weight. I went from a E to a C and my breasts were lifted significantly. I feel so much more comfortable now than before and I'm looking forward to being able to buy bras and bathing suits that actually fit. Dr. Grey was so kind and reassuring he put all my fears and worries to rest. The day of my surgery I was quite scared and he again reassured me that it was going to be fine and I felt comfortable and at ease. I'm very happy with my results so far!
Dr. Gray is amazing! I got a BA in 2013. The healing process went smoothly and my scars are so minimal. I loved the outcome for the first few years. He is a bit conservative, I went in there not knowing enough about what look I wanted, so we went with a low profile, under the muscle saline. My breasts look and feel very natural, people don't know I have implants. I am going in for a revision, but only because I want silicon and higher profile. My only word of advice to know exactly what you want, do your research, bring pictures! Over all fantastic PS, great bedside manner, very kind and makes you feel at ease. Would 10/10 recommend Dr. Gray to anyone who is getting cosmetic surgery in Victoria.
I just went to my 2nd breast augmentation consultation with a different surgeon than from my 1st and I'm happy to say I think I've found the doctor most suitable for me! He was VERY informative - - much more informative than the last doctor I had seen. Actually, I didn't even get to meet the doctor. My consultation was with a nurse so I was very upset (would like to speak to the person who would actually be working on me, thank you! Waste of $100..) I was very pleased as we listened to my every concern and has an answer for everything. I'm currently a 32A/B and I am hoping to achieve the look of a FULL C, small D? My measurements came up to 12cm so he had suggested I stay in the 350cc-375cc range, round gel high profile, under the muscle. He uses both Mentor and Natrelle. Is there a big difference between the 2? Does this size of implant sound about right for the look I'm hoping to achieve. I'm SO excited, September 22 cannot come any sooner! Updated on 6 Jul 2016: Updated on 6 Jul 2016: Just a few pictures of the looks I'm hoping to achieve! Updated on 23 Sep 2016: Just a few before pictures without a bra on. Bye bye, little boobies!! Updated on 23 Sep 2016: Surgery went amazing yesterday! Dr. Gray was extremely comforting and professional. I had brought my mom in with me and she also was very pleased with my choice of surgeon and found him very caring and polite. I'm so glad I went with the 2nd PS I met! I had my surgery done at Victoria Surgery. I arrived at 10 am and my surgery started at around 11. All of the nurses and assistants there were amazing and so friendly. They made me feel at ease and comfortable, asking me questions as I started to go under. Next thing I know, I'm waking up in a different room at around 1:30pm.My recovery nurse kept me comfortable and gave me a dose of delaudid and I was out again. I didn't leave the surgery centre until about 5pm. I barely felt any pain, just a lot of tightness in my chest. They took such great care of me and I am so thankful! I mostly just slept for the rest of the day and could only really eat soup and bread for the my meals for the day. It is now 1 day post op and it's going better than expected. Dr. Gray had put me on emtec (t3 with codeine and no caffeine) and ibuprofen for pain. Chest is tighter and more swollen than yesterday. Harder to get deep breathes in without feeling tight or sore. Definitely have trouble getting out of bed without using my arms but otherwise, everything else seems great! Received 2 calls from 2 different nurses to check in on me which was nice. So happy with the outcome and can't wait for them to drop and fluff!! Updated on 26 Sep 2016: I'm starting to think 375cc won't get me to the size I was hoping (D cup) but it was the max the doctor would let me go. I didn't want to go any bigger than my max if it meant there were going to be health concerns/overstretching/back problems/too top heavy. I guess I do have quite a small figure myself so I really can't complain about the size! Overall I'm still VERY happy with my new boobs! Updated on 26 Sep 2016: Updated on 7 Oct 2016: Boobs are doing great! Still a little tight but getting a lot easier to do things. I've been cleaning, driving, shopping, etc like normal but being careful not to overdo it as sometimes it does still get sore. My right boob is dropping faster than my left (I'm left handed and my left chest muscle is much stronger than my right) I'm hoping they don't get any smaller, I love the size they are now. I sometimes wish I went bigger but I know my doctor said 375cc is the biggest I should go. I'm happy because my cleavage is starting to fill in more aswell as the side boob!
Dr. Gray performed a tummy tuck on me in 2013 and also subsequent abdominal liposuction this year. He has also performed a cleft palate repair and pharyngloplasty on my youngest daughter. I cannot say enough good things about this surgeon who is not only gifted in his work but also a wonderful person. To say that the work he has done for myself and my daughter has changed our lives is an understatement. My abdomen through his surgery and my own hard work as well now looks better than it ever has in my life! He has given the gift of clear articulate speech to my daughter and was so kind and thoughtful to the very nervous parents that we were. He listens carefully to all questions and concerns despite being a very busy surgeon. In fact the day of my daughter's first surgery he came in with a cast on his leg. This man, even though he had every reason to reschedule or pass on my daughter's surgery to another, still came in to perform her surgery with a cast on his leg and on crutches. Please keep in mind my daughter's surgery was not a private surgery so his commitment to her as a patient was purely because he is a good man and not financially driven. His wonderful assistant put up with my incessant phonecalls with kindness and courtesy and her demeanor is very friendly but also professional at the same time. All in all, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Gray and his staff and would highly recommend him to anyone.
