I recently had a DES with Thank you plastic Surgery & my experience with the clinic was nothing short of amazing. I had a same day consultation and my surgery right after. Although, it's recommended to have consultations at multiple clinics, I did my research & just knew I wanted to go through Dr. Kim from his prior results + I was short on time. I’m from the states so I connected with their English consultant Chloe & she made the process so easy. I instantly felt comfortable chatting with her & she communicated all of my questions to the doctor & nurses so I never felt confused. Dr. Kim also speaks English well so that was a huge plus when addressing my concerns. I did not feel rushed, he listened to my wants, was realistic about what could be achieved & what would look the best according to my bone structure. He also never tried to upsell me with unnecessary procedures! Most importantly, I absolutely love my result. I posted my before & after-- it's only been 11 days so as you can see, my eyes are still very much bruised and swollen, but Dr. Kim gave me exactly what we discussed during our consultation which was a semi open outline & fixed the asymmetry of my lids. I couldn’t be happier and can't wait to see the final result. 11/10 would definitely recommend them! I will post photos of my progress as I continue to heal.

My experience with Thank You Plastic Surgery was positive through and through — from scheduling an in-person consultation via WhatsApp to post-surgery.

After months of online research, I narrowed it down to 2 clinics I wanted to consult with for incisional double eyelid surgery. My consultation at Thank You with Dr. Kim was by far the most thorough of the two and I ended up scheduling surgery 2 days after my consult for the following procedures — incisional double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, upper canthoplasty, and fat grafting.

During the consultation, Dr. Kim used a tool to map 3 in-out creases on my eyelids. While I came in thinking I wanted an in-out line, I went with the semi-out line to reduce the risk of my eye developing a 3rd crease post-surgery. I appreciated that he tempered my expectations and walked me through the tradeoffs and risks specific to my eye anatomy. When I couldn’t decide, he was happy to walk me through the crease options again and answered all of my questions.

Another thing worth noting is how collaborative this consultation was. I was asked to define what was natural to me, how high I wanted the crease, and which type of line I preferred. He never pushed his ideals on me, instead he asked me to chime in with my thoughts and weigh the tradeoffs.

It has been 2 months since my procedure and I’m happy with my results. A 3rd crease appeared on my right eye at the 2-week mark, but it went away after 1.5 months once the swelling improved.

I went to Thank You Plastic Surgery for double eyelid surgery and highly recommend the clinic! Their English consultant (Chloe) was very professional, kind, and responsive. I’ve consulted with various clinics and Dr. Kim was by far the most meticulous. He was very patient and provided thoughtful feedback. Also a plus that he speaks fluent English so it was easy to communicate exactly what I desired. I had epicanthal folds and wanted a semi-outline or out-line. He was honest about which crease style would work best for my face and what certain limitations I should expect. In the end, I went with a semi-outline for a more natural look.

The surgery flew by and I was in the recovery room in no time. Besides feeling the tightness of the stitches only on the first day, the procedure was relatively pain free. The post-op care was good, I had 3 check-ups before I left Korea and had deswelling laser treatment during one of my visits. It’s only been a little lover a month after post-op but I’m very satisfied with my results and everything is healing nicely.

My Review of Thank You Plastic Surgery

After researching and planning for a long time, I finally did my surgery! I want to give back to the community since you guys have helped a lot with my process!



Online + in person consultation:

Very responsive online! Both the clinic and I had some scheduling issues but we were able to sort it out due to clean and quick communication.



They had a Chinese AND English consultant present which was great for both me and my mom as I’m more fluent with English and my mom is more fluent in Chinese. Yumi and Chloe were amazing at making us feel welcomed and valued, much more than the other clinics I visited.



Dr. Kim was very straight forward with what can or cannot be done with my eyes based on the pictures I showed him. He had a special tool to help create a double eyelid. I noticed his tools were more fancy as other clinics used toothpicks. I was advised to go with upper canthoplasty, and non incisional OR incisional method. Most clinics I consulted with said incisional with upper canthoplasty, so I went with that method.



He showed me three different lines, I opted for number 2 as it was a good medium. He mentioned a higher line would be create puffiness from the excess skin.



He also suggested eyebrow lift or forehead lift in order to reduce the extra skin that hovers over my eye. I decided to only get DES as I was unfamiliar with those procedures. He mentioned I could do it later and it didn’t have to be a package deal.



Consultation was quick and informative, not too personal or anything. After, I discussed the logistics of the surgery with the consultant and I decided to book my surgery the next day.



Day of surgery:

After some procedures to prep for surgery, I consulted with Dr. Kim on the final plan for eyes. I’m a pretty nervous and indecisive person in general, so I was even more scared right before surgery. He started creating a double eyelid on my eyes again with his tool, except with both of my eyes and taking much more time. He mentioned I could do the 2.5 line if I wanted the crease to show more, but it would cause some puffiness. After some indecisive back and forth with him showing each line multiple times, I decided on 2. We spent around 30 minutes on this consultation, since I was very unsure and there was a lot of pressure, as I don’t want to regret anything (Hopefully Doctor didn’t find me annoying hahaha, I feel like maybe I was too indecisive and he became stern).



Afterwards, they sedated me in the operation room. I didn’t feel pain, just some tugging. It felt like a dream. I think I was talking to the doctor at some point? I can’t remember much. It felt like 5 minutes, and then I was brought to a room to rest. Once I felt better, I was given instructions on medicine and aftercare and went home.



There was no pain during the surgery, but the pain level is quite high afterwards. It hurts to open and close my eyes. Perhaps I am more sensitive to the pain? I guess it varies between everyone as I’ve heard that some people don’t feel much pain, and others do.



The first week was semi painful as I had stitches in my eyes so it was uncomfortable to blink and open my eyes. I used the provided ice pack to deswell.



After the stitches were taken out, my healing went much faster. I would say I looked normal by week three surprisingly.



At one month post op, I think I’m 90% healed! I still have scarring (which is normal) and swell occasionally in the morning, but overall it looks completely healed.



Overall, my journey went way smoother than expected and I’m so happy to have chosen Thank You.

It’s been 3.5 months since I had natural adhesion DES with Dr. Kim at Thank You Clinic and I’m loving how the results turned out! They’re mostly de-swelled now but occasionally are swollen in the morning or when I don’t sleep enough.

The recovery has been pretty smooth and they don’t itch or irritate me at all! The results look very natural too and there is barely any scarring which I’m glad about. I’m really happy I chose Dr. Kim because he designed a line that fits my facial harmony and made my eyes much prettier while still looking natural! He was able to design a partial semi-outline which looks like a mix between in-outline and semi-outline, and is exactly what I wanted! I can also rest assured that it won’t loosen because he used the natural adhesion technique that makes it more durable.

Overall I’m so happy with my results and their translator Chloe has been so supportive throughout the whole process! I’ve chatted with many others who also went to Thank You and they’re very pleased with their results as well, so I think they’re worth consulting with!

I had a non-incisional double eyelid surgery and upper epicanthoplasty with Dr. Kim Hyungsuk from 1mm plastic surgery about 3 months ago. This was my first ever surgery experience, and I was doing all my research long and had other consultations with plastic surgeons before I came to 1mm. All suggested the same procedures, but Dr. Kim was the most conservative and I benefitted from his cautious counsel. Dr. Kim understood exactly what I wanted, he made several observation and showed possible options. He was really kind & nice in taking the time to explain every detail to me. He didn’t push any unnecessary treatments and provided his recommended treatment plan. I was so impressed and quickly booked the appointment on the spot. His staff Yuri was a very nice and sincere consultant. I still remember her name.

I can tell Dr. Kim Hyungsuk is very particular about his work. He marks up the eyes very carefully ahead of time. Basically I was willing to undergo only a double eyelid surgery. However, Dr. Kim listened attentively to my concerns and gave me a complete analysis of what contributed to my eyes, how to create almond-shaped eyes and suggested epicanthoplasty which I decided to have.

I didn’t experience any swelling I was told to expect, the daily changes in my healing were remarkable. Two weeks post-op the results were incredible. The results are awesome. My eyes look bigger and brighter. I still look like me, but much better than before. Dr. Kim Hyungsuk – he is THE BEST.

It’s been my 4 months of my revision rhinoplasty. I had a dorsal hump on the bridge of my nose and deviated septum. Dr. Kim Hyungsuk and his staff were very pleasant. Hi. I got my anti-aging eyelid surgery with Dr. Kim Hyung Suk at 1mm Plastic Surgery in November. Since I didn’t want any drastic changes to my eyes, Dr. Kim recommended for me to do a resection of excess skin through the subbrow line and to create new double eyelid fold without incisions. It's been 2 months after my procedures. As you can see I still have a lot of swelling, but I know that it will reduce over time. I'm so satisfied that my scar is invisible and results are natural. I’m looking forward to the final results when my eyes are fully healed. Next year I'll visit them to get laser lift done. Thank you, Dr. Kim Hyung Suk again.
