I went into my free initial consult with Doctor Bui in October 2022. I had heard about him from a coworker who has amazing results from him performing a breast augmentation on her from 15+ years (approximately lol I don’t remember exactly) prior. Went in with one of my girlfriends and left feeling extremely at ease due to the doctor’s professionalism and years of experience (which became very apparent from his ease of answering every question we lobbed his way.) Updated on 24 Feb 2023: Apologies for the belated update, I've been relaxing and taking it easy per doctor's orders. The surgery went exceedingly well! As directed, I ceased all eating and drinking by 12AM the night prior to my operation. I was somewhat nervous as I went into the surgical center at 9:15AM on 2/3/23; the nurses took a sample of my urine to check for pregnancy, before confirming my medical history and giving me an IV (iirc medical grade saline and Ancef.) I was also given Pepcid for acid reflux and Zofran odt for nausea. They also put intermittent pneumatic compression devices on my legs to prevent blood clots (think blood pressure monitor cuffs, but placed around the calf area.) After approximately 45 minutes of prep with the nurse, Doctor Bui came in and confirmed everything was set for surgery. At this point, I was getting extremely anxious and let him know, so he kindly administered a sedative through the IV (forgot to ask what it was, but likely a benzo.) The nurses carted me off to the operating room, had me switch to the operating bed, and suddenly I woke up with new breasts. I personally have relatively low pain tolerance, and with this being my first surgical operation ever, I was definitely not prepared for the amount of pain and level of disorientation I felt upon first awakening. Luckily, the nurse noticed I was awake within a minute or two, and upon hearing I was in extreme pain (8 out of a scale of 1-10,) gave me a Norco 5-325. My mother then promptly arrived at my bed, helped me get dressed, and a nurse wheeled me outside to send me on my way home. I would definitely advise everyone to bring a pillow for the car ride back, because mine helped a lot with the shooting pains which accompanied each minor road bump/abrupt brake. As previously advised by the doctor during my pre-operation appointment, I had 7-UP and salted crackers at home to help with nausea. It felt nice to be able to consume some food and liquid, but I still felt nauseous until I took the Zofran ODT that Doctor Bui had prescribed. I also immediately began using my ice packs on my breasts, avoiding the incision areas and direct contact with my skin. They sent me home in a medical-grade compression bra (Mckesson 32 B/C/D,) which I didn't remove for a day or two because of how excruciating every minor movement felt. Unlike a lot of other reviewers here on realself (as far as I've read, a lot of people only took OTC Tylenol) I ended up taking the Norco about every 4-6 hours as prescribed for the first 3-4 days, before tapering off into the second week. What came out of left field the most for me was how bloated and constipated I felt from the anesthesia and Norco. I finished a 30-count bottle of generic Colace in the first two weeks, and still felt pretty terrible, so I was happy to finally stop taking the Norco and transitioned to Tylenol. I did go into the doctor's office a week post-op to remove the steri-strips from the inframammary incisions, and though there was a lot of bruising and tenderness, he remarked I was healing very well. Today marks the 3-week point after my procedure and I am so happy with the results! They look extremely natural on my build, and most people can't even tell I've had anything done. Will update with more pics once I am able to don a bikini or wear a wired bra (I'll be waiting until 6 weeks, out of exceeding caution.) So excited to come back to the office next week for another post-op where Doctor Bui will teach me how to massage the girlies to help them drop and fluff further!! Updated on 24 Feb 2023: the before pic is from about a year ago when i was binge-eating, weighing in at 105-110 lbs. for this surgery i was back to my usual weight, 85-90lbs. prior to the surgery i was probably a 30AA, but I usually wore 32A bras or went au natural because it was nearly an impossible hassle to consistently find cute bras in my size. He has excellent bedside manner, very calm and to the point when answering questions. His staff fully walked me through the procedure, medications I'd need post op and pre surgery care and after care. The staff are good about making sure you attend post op appointments. Also affordable and the facility they do the surgery in is very clean :)
I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Bui and his staff! I got a Breast Aug in 2019 that turned out beautifully and looks superbly natural! I am 5 weeks out from my tummy tuck and again, perfect work! I HIGHLY recommend you go to Dr. Bui if you're looking for a doctor who is honest, trustworthy, pays attention to detail, and all around great plastic surgeon.
Hi! I’m 25 years old and have debated getting implants for the past two years due to my insecurity of a flat chest. I debated only because I was afraid of the recovery and the outcome of my new breasts. I chose a doctor who is well known amongst my group of friends. Dr. Bui has performed 10+ breast augmentations on women I know personally and all have had successful recoveries and now have beautiful breasts. I wanted to share my experience because this website helped me out tremendously when trying to decided what size I wanted to go with. I am only 4 days post-op but I will continue to post updates as I continue my new breast journey. Updated on 15 Mar 2021: I am now at 10 days post op. My implants are slowly but surely starting their process of drop and fluff. The tightness and soreness of my chest have significantly decreased and I have gained back the range of motion in my arms. I saw my doctor for a follow up last week and he said everything looks great and to keep moving my arms to help speed up the recovery process. So far, I am elated with the progress and the size!
I am so incredibly happy with my lower facelift results and the wonderful care provided by Dr. Bui and his caring staff. I’ve had three unrelated procedures performed by Dr Bui, and each experience was exceptional, from pre to post op. Highly recommend!! Updated on 25 Jul 2021: Hello, I’m about 1 year post lower facelift surgery and my face has settled a bit. But, I’m still happy with results and recommend the procedure! I had major jowls and saggy neck prior. Highly recommend Dr. Bui - he and the surgical center are top notch!
Hi everyone ! Surgery is 3 days away on the 24th!!! I have chosen 550CC HIGH PROFILE MENTOR MEMORY SHAPE IMPLANTS . I breast feed both my sons and lost fullness and volume excited to share my experience. Currently in the process of preparing my self for the big day ! My doctor is Docter Bui in Anahiem, Ca Updated on 23 Jan 2020: I had one docter tell me I needed a lift . 2 docters that said if i want perky boobs yesI would need a lift but I can do without. Eventually they said I will need one. A little worried dont want the snoopy syndrome Updated on 25 Jan 2020: The first 24hours are the hardest . It was very difficult to move my arms ,sit up ,and breath. Its getting a little easier now, im trying to stay up and sit up more . Believe it or not the frequent peeing I think helped get my body moving . Here is a pic
I had a breast aug in 2010. Saline 425cc/350cc. My weight has fluctuated quite drastically over the years (highs at 160 and lows under 110), which I feel contributed to quite a bit of sagging now. I currently weigh around 135 5"3. I am scheduled for an implant exchange and breast lift tomorrow morning with the Ideal saline implant. I have been scouring around for all things breast aug w/ lift related so I thought it would be helpful to share my journey for those doing the same! I am mainly unhappy with the sagging, volume loss, and rippling. I am hoping the ideal will help with the rippling situation and the lift with definitely be helping with the sagging. Getting a little nervous but excited! Updated on 18 Oct 2019: Everything went SO WELL!! Dr. Bui is just as amazing (if not more) than be was 10 years ago :) I cannot recommend him highly enough. I was not in the same type of pain as I was after my first breast aug. The pressure is more slight and have a little better range of motion, but I’m being mindful to keep my arms close to my sides regardless for healing. The worst of it all was the BURNING pain from the incisions - holy cow. It hurt, bad. Light at the end of the tunnel though, I’m about 10 hours post-op and things have lessened quite dramatically. Still in pain and discomfort (don’t get me wrong), but it’s not burning as though a curling iron had just scorched my chest. I will upload pictures as things progress and also update on how I feel about the Ideal implants. Oh and I am LOVING how things are looking already. They seem perfectly placed, not too high which was a big concern of mine. Again, Dr. Bui is seriously wonderful. He has such a great eye and cares about making sure you look as wonderful as possible :) Updated on 22 Oct 2019: Ready to look perky and ripple’less Updated on 22 Oct 2019: Updated on 22 Oct 2019: I get a lot of intense pain in the area of incisions under my breast, which seems to be normal since that’s where my skin would be pulling on. It’s pretty painful trying to sit up. Other than that, pain is pretty minimal when moving around. Updated on 31 Oct 2019: As I reach my 2 week mark for post-op, I must say that each day has improved more and more. I was struggling every time I wold change from my surgery bra to a more supportive close front sports bra, mainly in my side axillary region - I asked my doctor about this during my last appointment to remove all tape coverings from sutures and he explained that I have some internal sutures that he used to help tighten up my pocket (my breasts were falling off towards my armpits when I wold lay down) so I guess that area is more sensitive to pulling. I was able to wear it all day so far today thought without issues. I still haven’t been laying all the way flat when I sleep because I start getting pains in that same area, but little by little I have been reducing my angle at night. Incisions look great so far and I’m really happy with everything! I increased from 425cc to 600cc and although they don’t seem much bigger when I look at them, they sure do in this before and after!
I wanted thos procedure done because all my life I couldnt wear tank tops and I was uncomfortable with my body. I could not fix my protruding ribs with surgery, but I could detract from them with big beatiful breasts. Thank goodness I finally had the means to do it, and had such an INCREDIBLE surgeon to perform the procedure. I wanted to post what my "drop and fluff" phase looked like, because it was without a doubt the most nerve wracking part of the whole experience. Patience, ladies!
The moment I met Dr Bui I knew I was going to pick him for my procedure. He was generous, honest, and most importantly; he was knowledgeable. He was also very affordable. He was able to answer all my questions and concerns. After 4 consultations I picked him! I will definitely recommend Dr Bui before anyone else!!!!
had my tummy done 2 years ago and it was life changing :) clicked with doctor Bui out of Anaheim California after meeting 2 women that had procedures done by him and they were ecstatic about the their results. Dr Bui is honest, caring and a fantastic surgeon that I highly recommend! Btw this site has been so so nice to have during the last two years first Tt and most recently my Breast augmentation.. Thank you to all those who shared your stories and pics have been insightful and kept me happy during down time
From the photos, you need breast lift on both sides with or without implants. This procedure includes areola reduction. Nipple reduction is a simple procedure that can be done under local anesthesia. Although combining all these procedures is possible, it does increase your risk of deep venous thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolus (PE), a complication that can be deadly. You should consult with board-certified plastic surgeon regarding this and ways to lower the risks.
Hello, Brachioplasty (Arm lift) does take a while to heal. Whether your arms are still quite swollen or if excess skin remains, a physical examination is needed to determine this. I recommend that you follow up with your surgeon for evaluation. Thank you for your inquiry. Dr. Bui
Hello. Sorry to see that you had complication following your anchor lift and implant removal. It is difficult to make a diagnosis by photographs alone but it appears that you had necrosis of portion of the nipple-areola complex on that breast. This can be caused by infection or a lack of blood supply to the area or both. The photograph does not show all good tissues yet so healing will take a while. Please be sure to follow-up with your surgeon for proper wound care to facilitate healing. Best of luck.
Thank you for your inquiry and photos. Assuming that you are in good health, you are a candidate for a full tummy tuck with fascial plication and liposuction. However, without examination, it is not possible to say whether the procedure will give you a completely flat tummy or not. You should consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon for a more accurate assessment. Best wishes and hope everything turns out well.
