Amazing doctor and staff. He has performed procedures on three family members. I had hand surgery and have no scar. Most recently 3 surgeries to remove a congenital birth mark from my daughter. He always checks to make sure healing in underway. Calls the night of the procedure. My daughter is pleased with the result. She has a simple scar line where the large defect was. Dr. Han removed skin cancer from my fathers nose. No scar and it healed fast.
I am a 38 yo who after 4 kids hated the way my stomach looked. I was referred to Dr. Han by a couple mutual friends. During my consultation Dr. Han was very informative and helped me feel comfortable moving forward with an abdominoplasty with diastasis recti and hernia repair. From start to finish Dr. Han his team and the hospital made me feel comfortable. The surgery went amazing and I am now 4 weeks post op and feel and look amazing. The healing process wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I highly recommend getting the pain pump. I cannot wait to see how I look when all of my swelling is gone. Thank you Dr. Han!

To start with I was overweight my entire life and in 2013 I was at my highest, 411 lbs so I decided to do something about it. I sought the help of a bariatric surgeon and began the journey. In January 2014 I had gastric sleeve surgery. Then, oops, turns out I had a biltateral meniscus tear. So knee surgery April 2014. I was load up for about 3.5 months. It was torturous. But, over the next two years I got a trainer, got my happy ass into a gym, and got serious about my diet. Got Invisalign and fixed my teeth. And lost 165 pounds, and still losing. I felt like an entirely new person and was the lightest I've ever really been outside from my morbidly obese childhood years. I was very happy except now I had all this loose hanging skin especially on my abdominal area. So I decided to seek the help of a plastic surgeon and on April 21 2016 I had a tummy tuck. So far it's honesty been pretty tough. Pain hasn't been awful, the abdominal binder was killer and just the inability to get comfortable was annoying. And the swelling, dear God the swelling. I got abnormally(I'll say) swollen. My chest was very swollen from the binder pushing the fluid up and my groin was swollen from the binder pushing fluid down. And I was and am very bruised. I had an "on q" pain pump ball that took the major incisional pain away for about 4 days. I have one JP drain to drain excess fluid at the incision site. I'm only post op day 8 now but getting better every day doing more and more. The pain now is very minuscule and after post op day 4 it's all been getting better. I'm open to any and all questions, please feel to ask anytime about anything I've done be it weight loss surgery or cosmetic surgery ie: tummy tuck or Invisalign. Good luck to anyone out there looking to make a big change in their life!
I've always had a "potbelly" from the time I was a child. At 120 pounds, young and active...I had a belly. When I gained weight, guess where it went? Yep, my belly. I had a couple of surgeries in my 30's to remove masses along with my ovaries. This is when I started getting the apron effect. It had gotten to the point where I was just in pain all the time. My work was becoming impossible, and I had to give up my evening sessions on the treadmill because my shoulders, back and knees just hurt so bad. My doctor and I tried several diets along with some pretty dangerous diet pills in an effort to reduce my middle. Nothing worked. I noticed one day at work that the way I sat was causing a lot of my discomfort. I then realized I sat this way to accommodate my lower belly. I know there's a big fancy name for the fat apron, but I'm not going to embarrass myself trying to spell it. :-) Anyhoo, I started paying close attention to the way I moved, sat, walked...etc. I knew that thing had to go. I remembered a friend of mine years ago experienced pains similar to mine because of large breasts. She had a reduction that absolutely changed her life. I found Dr. Han and set up an appointment for a consultation. My expectations have always been realistic. I am a plus sized woman in her early 40's. I am okay with that. I didn't go in expecting to be skinny when it was all over. I just wanted to know if this was my best option, and if it would help ease the pain. I instantly loved Dr. Han and his staff. I expected to walk into some snooty clinic where everyone is perfect. (My only experience with plastic surgery was from watching Nip/Tuck haha). Dr. Han told me what I already knew, a tummy tuck would NOT make me skinny or even give me a completely flat midsection. He said it would get rid of the apron and he firmly believed it would help the pain. He explained it by saying imagine carrying a fanny pack around your waist with 10 to 20 pounds in it. He also told me something that made me feel a lot better about myself, he told me that due to surgeries, scar tissue, and genetics I would never lose that part of my belly no matter what diet or exercise plan I followed. That just made me feel so much better! I am big. Yes, I like food. Do I overeat? No. Should I pay more attention to what I eat? Of course! I've also been until here recently a very active woman. Lord, get me off my soapbox! Okay, back to the surgery. I thought it sounded like the absolute best solution for me. I was pretty nervous about talking with his office manager. I just knew she was going to give me a price that would be totally out of the question. I just about fell over when she gave me a price of $6700 out the door. Holy crap! Why on earth will a health insurance company not jump at the chance to pay for this?? No, they would rather wait until I need pricier surgeries on my knees or back or end up in the hospital with a horrific skin infection because of the moisture and bacteria in the fold where my belly flopped over. Idiots! We financed the surgery mostly with a 401K loan and opened an account with Care Credit to finance the remaining balance. My husband and I had a lot going on in May, so I scheduled my procedure in June. The waiting was awful! I was so anxious to get it done!! However, the waiting gave me time to secure leave from work. I also have short term disability insurance...I was able to get secured as well...which made things much easier for us to handle financially. My surgery was an outpatient procedure. We chose a surgery center close to home. We had 2 options, one center is in a newer area of town, the other is in an older area. W3 chose the older one because it was about $1000 cheaper. I had my husband and my mom with me the day of my surgery. Everything went very smooth at the surgery center. The staff was great! I think it took an hour before they were wheeling me back. I vaguely remember smiling and then nothing till I started coming out of it in my recovery room. I was sore, but I opted for the pain pump (a magical little ball about the size of a grapefruit that delivers a constant stream of pain medicine) so it wasn't the excruciating, searing pain I'd experienced when I'd had the previously mentioned masses removed. I was up and anxious to get home. My recovery has been really easy. Hubby and I went out looking for a recliner prior to my surgery. We found a great deal on a power dual reclining sofa. If you can, get a power recliner. It will become your best friend! I think the hardest part the first 2 weeks was dealing with the damned tubes. It was pretty difficult to clean myself up. I felt so disgusting! The pain pump came out after a week along with most of the staples. The smell when they took the the bandages was awful! First thing I did was take a shower! I still had my drainage tube which was annoying. I took a strip of old t shirt and tied the little drainage bag to my thigh which helped with the whole shower process. I didn't leave my house except for weekly visits with my surgeon for the first 3 weeks. The first week, I had my mom or my husband to stay with me. By the second week, I was fine by myself. (I think it's important to get up and move as much as possible without overdoing it.) Boy I was ready for that drainage tube to come out at 3 weeks! I was starting to feel a little bit of depression until that came out. After that, I was hell bent on getting out of the house! Hubby started taking me on short trips. We went to dinner and to Kohl's the second day after the tube came out. We did a couple of little trips like that the 3rd week. After my 4th week check up with Dr Han, he released me to go on a little weekend trip with hubby. I was allowed to get in the pool as long as I covered the belly button he created for me with a waterproof bandage. Absolutely NO swimming or ab workouts. I could walk as much as I wanted. I got tired pretty easy. We had to plan shorter excursions than we normally would, but it was still great fun after being couped up in the house for so long! I am a little past 6 weeks now. This week was my first week back at work. I haven't left the house this weekend. I am just exhausted! It's nice to get back in the swing of things, but it's going to take awhile. Has it been worth it thus far? You bet your ass! I stand up straighter, breath better, feel better and definitely look better! It's an adjustment. I still move weird at times....still trying to compensate for a belly that isn't there. I'm still swollen....which is to be expected. Dr. Han has been great about keeping the time line and the results realistic. At 6 weeks, about 60% of the swelling is gone. The scar tissue is starting to soften and things are starting to settle into place. I'm not sure what's going to happen with the upper part of my abdomen. I hope it goes down more. If not, well, we will burn that bridge when we get there. :-) Updated on 5 Apr 2016: So happy I went through this! It hasn't all been puppies and rainbows. My weight shot up after the surgery, but I've been doing Weight Watchers since January and I've taken it all back off and then some! Getting that large hanging gut lopped off had been the boost I've needed for a long time. I still have knee and back pain but not as bad. Come to find out I have arthritis in both areas which is why I am continuing with WW. I feel better, I move better and I definitely look better! I will post an updated pic soon!
I went to the doctor for a consultation for a tummy tuck and ended up taking pictures for a breast reduction. It was my suggestion. Since I was paying a consultation fee I felt the need to show him my entire body. Just received the call yesterday that insurance will cover 80%. I'm undecided because I want to lose more weight and I don't have children yet. I have some questions for my RS sisters...Should I wait until after children? Dr. told me I have to go from a DDD+ to a full B or small C for the insurance to pay. What do you think about that size? I would love to have smaller breast I guess I am just nervous about the change, losing sensitivity and not being able to breast feed my children after. Please leave feedback!!!!!!Thank you Updated on 14 Mar 2014: May 21st is the day! Going to buy a recliner for recovery tomorrow! Updated on 29 Mar 2014: I ordered a recliner to recover in. Had to find something that didn't sit too low so I can get in and out of it. I made sure I got power because I wont be able to use my stomach muscles to close the chair. I also made sure I got the fabric/leather protection since this will be like my bed for 6 wks. Updated on 1 May 2014: So I'm going to update my review as often as I can . I will post my before pictures closer to the sx date. I will try to be as detailed as I can about everything because this site has helped me so much. I want to help as many RS sisters as I can. My sx is in 3 weeks. I'm having a TT, Breast Reduction and lower back lipo. I would love to get a BBl but I will do that next year maybe. I'm about to be 30 next month so this sx is a gift to myself. I don't have children and I'm single so I'm going to enjoy my first year being 30 with a new body. So far I have purchased a recliner, bath wipes( you cant take a shower for a week), arnica cream (for liposuction)and a mattress protector(for my recliner). I know the recliner is an extreme purchase but I needed a new acent chair anyway. I made sure the chair was easy to get in and out of and had power(using that lever can be a headache). I have also purchase some plastic flexible nipple rings that I can use during my sx. My surgeon is skilled enough I don't have to take my piercings out for sx. I'm excited about that! Do I need to purchase anything else? I will post more pictures soon. Updated on 13 May 2014: I'm getting excited! I promise I will post before and after pictures. I'm sitting in my recliner right now so that I can break it in! I will post as much as I can and give as much detail. Nothing has changed really. I using my birth control to manipulate my period so I can come on and be done a few days before surgery so that I don't even have to deal with it until I'm mobile. So I have been trying to lose weight before the surgery. That isn't working out for me. I lost 25 lbs and I have been maintaining that since March. I wanted to loose between 40-50 lbs. I'm just glad I didn't gain anything back. So I heard that if you lose weight after surgery your boobs will get even smaller and drop. However, I'm getting this surgery so that I can feel better about myself. I think I need that motivation to eat right and workout. I now have to wear 2 sports bras just to get on the elliptical. I'm getting a breast reduction. My Dr. will remove 900 cc's out of each breast. Since insurance is paying this is their requirements. I'm ok with it. I will be a small C cup and im actually ok with that. I dont want any skin to skin contact so I'm happy! Im gettin a tummy tuck. I need this so bad. I have had a stomach my whole life and it is so big it hangs. It actually splits and forms a butt lol. This is the most exciting part. I'm also getting liposuction to my back. I would love to get a bbl which hopefully is in the future. but I have chosen to get lipo first just to see how my will look if I couture my lower back. Ok sisters I will be writing more frequent now. Updated on 20 May 2014: Ok so I have been so busy. Getting ready to take some before pictures for you. I have been cleaning my house and running as many errands as I can. My surgery is actually at my job so Im at work right not. I had a coworker pick me up and bring me to work. I will take a shower here and then go down stairs for my procedure at 6am. Afterwards my mom will take me home. I didnt get to take a picture of my setup. I will upload all night up until my surgery. Updated on 20 May 2014: Updated on 20 May 2014: Updated on 23 May 2014: For some reason my pictures wont upload. So my surgery was 5.5hrs. My doctor took 13 lbs off. Getting up for the first time was horrible. I thought I was about to faint. I'm home now. I have a q ball (pain ball)for my stomach. I also have 1 drain coming from my stomach. I can actually go to the restroom by myself. I'm on a muscle relaxer, percocet, and antibiotics. I also just took a stool softener. Updated on 23 May 2014: Updated on 23 May 2014: Updated on 23 May 2014: Updated on 23 May 2014: I don't like those rolls but I will work out and lose those Updated on 23 May 2014: It felt so good to get some bandages off. They losen my belly binder. Updated on 23 May 2014: Updated on 26 May 2014: So I have been on a roller coaster these past 5 days. One minute I feel like in doing real good. Then I take 2 steps back. My breast They are very swollen and perky. I'm wishing they will stay like this forever but I know they will get a natural drop shape to them. One day the right one is bigger than the left one. Then next day its vice versa. They only pain I feel is just little tingle all over that makes me want to grab and rub them. I went from a G to a C cup. I'm satisfied. My plastic nipple rings worked out perfectly. Tummy tuck! This has been where the pain comes from. I only have one drainage tube on the right side. My incision looks good and low. I read somewhere not to watching anything funny because it will hurt when you laugh and that is so true. Liposuction I had lipo to my upper butt and lower back. I would love to get a brazilian butt lift but not this time. I just want to make my upper body smaller and give the appearance of a bigger butt. Updated on 26 May 2014: After 5 days of not having a bowel movement it finally happened.I feel so much better. I used stool softeners and prune juice. Walking to the restroom is good but walking back is so painful. Im out of breath and exhausted. At first I was just using a binder but I felt like it was cutting into my lower back lipo my friend let me use her garment. I will order myself one just in a smaller size. Updated on 26 May 2014: Updated on 26 May 2014: Updated on 27 May 2014: Today was a good day. I had another easy bm. I walked around the house alot. Getting in and out of my recliner is easier. I will take a shower wednesday and I will take more pictures. I will get some pictures of my back. I just take my pain meds and muscle relaxers whenever I need them. I'm still on antibiotics 4 times a day. My mom has been here helping me. I appreciate her help so much. When can I start to use the arnica cream? I'm about to lay down. ...ttyl rs sisters Updated on 30 May 2014: So I changed into a spanx today. My other garment was being washed. The spanx is actuality comfortable. I cleaned up my area, did a few small things around the house. Here goes more pictures Updated on 3 Jun 2014: I took some pictures after my shower this morning. My breast, I guess, have stopped leaking. I have actually feel then starting to drop some. I asked my plastic surgeon to make them small enough so that I don't have any skin to skin contact. My last set of breast (sounds funny) were basically laying on my stomach. All of that skin to skin contact created a hot environment that constantly caused me to get boils under my breast. Each breast was covered in scars underneath. All that skin is gone! !!!!!!! Now that my dressing are off. My nipples are super sensative. I think I'm going to cover them back up tomorrow with something. I can't take the cold air from the air conditioning. I have no open spots on my incisions under my breast. No itching yet. Updated on 3 Jun 2014: My tummy is so swollen. I took a good close up of my incision site. I have one problem area but it's closed up now. My doctor wants me to stand up straight but it's just so much more comfortable to stand slightly bent. Updated on 9 Jun 2014: Your body goes through so many changes after surgery. I guess you interfere with hemostasis. My skin is peeling, I'm constantly dehydrated and I had an awful muscle spasm on my left side. No oil or exfoliation is working for this dry skin on my stomach. It's really just where the tape was from my breast reduction. I'm driving now. Drain came out at 2weeks 2 days. I kinda miss it lol. We had a little bond I had to drag it everywhere with me and keep checking it. But honestly I don't miss it just joking lol. I'm still sleeping in my recliner. Laying on my side is still uncomfortable because of the lipo on my back. I promise to post more pictures of my back.I honestly keep forgetting about it when it's picture time. My tummy and breast still the shine. My stomach is doing ok. It's still swollen. More on the left side than right. My dr. Said he would go in and remove the extra fluid with a syringe of its still swollen my next appt which is in 3 days. I changed garments today. I bought a new spanx I thought I bought it too small but it fits perfectly. Im just patiently waiting for my swelling to go down and see some major improvement. My breast are peeling a lot around the incisions. A scab came off today and I noticed pus and seperation. I made my own steri strip for it lol. That's what you see in the picture. Ok sisters I getting sleeping. I hope everything is spelled right and making since cause I too tired for a review lol. He goes more pictures. Updated on 9 Jun 2014: Updated on 9 Jun 2014: Updated on 12 Jun 2014: I can't believe I just tucked in a shirt and it actually looks nice. That's all I have to say I'm speechless! Updated on 12 Jun 2014:
I want to start off thank everyone who has shared their stories on Realself. I have been wanting to do this since I turned 18 but always felt gulity about spending money on myself and of course going under. So here I am finally really researching over ten years later (lol). I am really insecure of my chest size when I take my bra off because I fell like theirs nothing there. Especially the feeling when you lay down with your bra still on and there is nothing in the cup or the fact that im laying flat and I feel like I have little speed bumps on my chest. Needless to say Im so tired of my clothes not fitting right I have always had to buy l or xl shirts because I am tall and have somewhat of a long torso but alot of them are big in the chest area because I dont fill the shirts out. I have always felt like my chest dont match up to the rest of my body. I went for my consultation Feb. 6 and talked to the Dr. about everything I wanted and he answered all my questions. My goal is to be a 'C' cup I am currently an 36A 5'8 165lbs. The Dr. thinks I should go with 400cc-425cc to be where I want? I personally thought after looking thru all kinds of pics I wanted 350-375cc... So I leave feeling some what of confused but I did remember seeing on here something about going under the muscle you lose 50cc?? Not sure how true that is? Im starting to get nervous I set up the big day FEB.28th I cant wait!!! Im getting super excited about finally getting to have BOOBS!!! Updated on 21 Feb 2013: Really excited 1 week away from boobiville lol went and did a lil shopping yesterday For my post op care and was looking at bras even thou my Dr. Said no bras for the first couple weeks only cami's? Not sure why I'm assuming to help them drop and settle in.... Anyhow I can't wait super ecstatic :) Updated on 26 Feb 2013: 2 more Days! So excited but didn't sleep good last night just kept tossing and turning dreaming about boob complication smh I think my anxiety is creeping up on me lol.Hope everything goes well! Updated on 28 Feb 2013: At the hospital just waiting this is the hard part im so impatient lol Im so excited ready to get this over with and start Updated on 28 Feb 2013: Happy Boobie Day to Me! Well Ive been home since noon and feeling really tired and exhausted. Ive slept on and off since then. Today was great! I arrived at he hospital at 7a sat until 730a then they took me back to pre-op and hit me with a pregnancy test smh Im not prego lol but I know its just standard precautions. Got changed into gown and ted hose the nurse started my iv. Guess there was a miscommunicaton about time bc Dr. thought it was 8a but I didnt get started until almost 9a. Talked with the Dr. about size and my goals again and cant wait I knew it was getting closer he marked me up and took a couple pictures for his album befor I knew it they were taking me back. Told my mom the first question to ask Dr. is how many cc we ended up going with lol (like I was going to forget lol) Well final number 480cc Saline/under was a little shocked didnt realize he was filling that much more but Im happy with what I have or can see for the most part. I know when we talked I expressed my feelings and what I wanted plus the nurses in surgery were Great they all were very nice and were telling me they were Doc second eyes lol I cant see much Im wrapped up until my post-op appt. Wednesday March 6th so im really excited to get this off already I want to see my girls! I also recieved a pain pump that last 2-3days I havent heard anyone else talking about this but it was an extra $200.00 I will say well worth it. I havent been in any pain. I just feel pressure on my chest for the most part. When I laydown I feel great no pressure and ice of course is my new best friend lol. My mom daughter and bf have been so helpful waiting on me and making sure Im comfortable feel blessed to have such a great inner circle. Well im going to go for now ill update tomorrow starting to get sleepy again. Updated on 2 Mar 2013: post op day 2&3 I was in a lil pain it hurt to get up and down we had plans to see a comedy show yesterday (Friday) Riding in the car was challenging every bump I surely felt in my breast and we walked 2 blocks to the theater I was hurting bc I was cold and I guess I kept flexing my pecs or something not a good feeling. After the show we came home and I was ready for bed exhausted. Updated on 2 Mar 2013: Day3 post op I can't wait until Wednesday Im so ready to take this wrap off. Im a lil itchy under it and im so ready to take a real shower not just a bird bath lol Im not in alot of pain today. my bf says I look kind of stiff but im trying to move normally. other than that I think things are going smoothly for the most part. Hope everyone is doing well. Happy Healing! xo Updated on 4 Mar 2013: Day 4 post op Not really alot of changes today the pain has subsided which is good just feeling what I think are muscle spasms and fullness here and there when im moving around or getting up and down. Happy Healing Updated on 7 Mar 2013: Post op 1 week went to the Dr for my first checkup yesterday to get wrap off, he said everything looks good they showed me excercises to do with my new girls and only wear cami's. Not so sure about that its definitly going to be akward not wearing a bra but im following Drs order lol. they are still a lil tender and riding high. So I go back in a week. I can't wait until they drop and I'm fully recovered I'm still getting tired easily and having to take the muscle relaxers for muscle spasms . Other than that its not bad at all. Wish everyone Happy healing! Trying to upload new pic but its not letting me :-( Updated on 11 Mar 2013: Day10 post op Well I went back to work this weekend I will say that was a lil challenging. It feels so different picking things up. And I can tell its going to take some time before I get my full strength back. I feel once I'm using my pecs my chest area has a numbness sensation that seems to linger around it. Is that normal?Or has anyone else experienced this? I also feel really emotional not sure why? Maybe bc I'm getting ready to start my monthly. Grrr... Anyways I've been trying to take it easy and not do so much between working and the homefront trying to give my pecs a lil break and hope I'm not over doing it. Its hard I will say that lol I'm so used to being on the go so I've been trying... hope everyone is doing great I haven't had the chance to get on here but I'm going to try and add some more pics later. Be sure to tell me what you ladies think? I still feel their a lil high? Not sure if its just me lol. Updated on 18 Mar 2013: 18days postop. sorry ladies but I haven't posted anything been really crazy at myhouse my mom ended up having to have a knee replacement so with that being said she has custody of my niece and nephew so I've taken them into my house definitely not use to having 3 kids especially a 3 year old so I'm trying to take it easy and not over do anything. When I start to notice any type of tightness or different feelings I try to sit down and relax. Going back to work has been challenging considering I'm a massage therapist I use my pecs more than I thought. I can tell its going to take some time to get my full strength back especially doing deep tissue massage. Hopfully my clients bear with me. I haven't told anyone because I think its unprofessional and its really no ones business. Any how when I went for my 2 week check up I realized I was doing the excercises wrong. My ps said they still look good anyways so glad I didn't do any damage within that week lol. Other than drama on the home front things are going well. Still sleeping propped bc the girls are still riding high. I can't wait until they drop and fluff. I'm so ready to go shopping for new bras :) I've noticed in the mornings the girls feel tight or like a fullness feeling but goes away when I get moving. I go back to Dr. Wednesday so ill see what he says about everything. Ill try and post more pics and update then. Hope everyone is doing well. Happy healing! Updated on 4 Apr 2013: Sorry ladies that I haven't updated but I've been really busy lately. Things have been going very well no pain for the past two weeks. Dr. said things were looking good. I still notice in the mornings when I first raise out of bed girls are a lil stiff I'm guessing that's "morning boob" that I've heard everyone talking about lol. My right has dropped but my left is still riding a lil high. I've still been trying to stretch my arms everyday because I can tell when I'm working how my muscles are tight. While at the same time trying to keep telling myself take it easy lol. My daughter is on spring break this week so when she goes back to school next week I'm finally going to go get fitted for a bra I'm so excited! Updated on 24 Apr 2013: 8 weeks post op everything has been great. I'm able to sleep comfortable and back in the gym with no restrictions! Not really any complaints except a lil muscle tightness in my shoulder blades and pecs but I'm trying to keep stretching so that's really expected from going under.... Updated on 24 Apr 2013: Forgot to tell you ladies about getting fitted at VS I'm a 36DD :)definitely happy but I will say wish I went a lil bigger. The boob greed is settling lol I think it's because I'm always looking at them thinking they look small lol. Happy Healing to all and hope everyone is doing great. TT with MR scheduled for June 12th. I am excited and nervous at the same time. Any adivce would be helpful. I am 44, 5'3 and 157 lbs. I am looking forward to loosing this luggage! Updated on 4 Jun 2012: June 12th is just around the corner. I am very nervous. I got a call from the drs. office and the surgery time is being moved to 7:30 instead of 9:30. I wish I could wave a wand and this all be behind me. I am very worried about complications. I had a breast resduction 10 years ago and was a lot younger. I actually returned to work in 3 days. Any advice anyone can give would be helpful. I am wanting to determine the best methods for scar removal. What are the best foods to eat after surgery to reduce swelling. Any advice, would be greatly appreciated. Updated on 9 Jun 2012: Only three more days till TT with MR. I am so nervous. I wish June 12th was here already. I forgot to mention that I am having dog ears removed from prior breast reduction. As soon as I can, will post pics. Good luck to everyone scheduled for TT on June 12th! Updated on 11 Jun 2012: Tomorrow is the big day! I am excited and nervous. Tomorrow this time, I hope to have a flat tummy. Good luck to everyone scheduled tomorrow. Check in time 6:30 am, surgery at 7:30 am ET. Will update everyone on my progress. Updated on 23 Jun 2012: Hello, Had my TT on June 12th. Two days later went to the emergency room, could not breath. It appears the binder may have been too tight and I was not using one of my lungs to breath. Stayed in hospital for one week. I am finally out and looking forward to my recovering. The hospital wanted the binder removed so I have one drain and no binder. So far no complaints, really swollen. I will post pics and give all details soon. Updated on 6 Jul 2012: Doing much better. Hope everyone who had TT is doing well. I am still dealing with lots of swelling. Starting to see new me take shape :). Due to binder being removed, my recovery will be much slower. I have an awesome surgeon. I still plan on posting pics soon. Hope everyone is doing well! Updated on 29 Aug 2012: It has been a while since I last posted. I am still dealing with lots of swelling. When will this end! Otherwise, you can definitely see the change. I did not tell anyone that I was having a TT. My neighbors keep askingh me did I loose weight...:) Updated on 18 Nov 2012: It has been a while since I have posted. I am a little over 5 months post tt. Still dealing with swelling in belly button and below. Other than that I do well. Did see the DR. in regards to swelling. He thinks this is due to the large amount of fat that was removed from my stomach. I go back in January for him to check on my progress. If I am still dealing with swelling, he is going to check to make sure I have not developed a hernia :(. Other than that, I am doing well, Hope everyone who had TT at the same time is doing well.
I have had extremely large breast every since I was in elementary. I am currently at a 38F and very uncomfortable with the size of my breast, as well as experiencing severe back, neck and shoulder pain. I was rejected for a breast reduction in 2003. I decided to go to a different surgeon and try again. This time my insurance approved it, and I am really excited to be having my surgery on March 2 at 1pm. I love reading the experiences on this site, they really help to calm my nerves. Two of my sisters have had this surgery as well. I guess you can say big breast is an inheritance in our family. I look forward to keeping you posted on my experience. Updated on 16 Feb 2012: So I am getting closer to my sugery date. I received my paperwork from the hospital and that made me nervous. I set my quit smoking date for this Sarurday. That will be a challenge! I purchased nice pajamas and lounge wear that button up. I even bought some fun DVDs. I am getting really excited. I cant wait to toss the big bras. Updated on 24 Feb 2012: Well one week away and I want to smoke so bad. Has anyone out there continued to smoke prior to surgery? I am going to just fight it!!! Anyhow, I am very excited, and cant wait to see my new boobs. I think I am going to have a bonfire with the old bras. I have not purchased any sport bras. My PS told me to hold off until He did the surgery and could better fit me. I cannot wait to get some sports bras. I could never fit into them before. I will post before and after pics after my drains are removed on 3/5. Updated on 27 Feb 2012: Just days away and I am so excited, My surgery is on this Friday. I went for my pre-op with my MD today. I am doing good with my not smoking. I have been feeling great, but I was told that the cravings will really start after the surgery. I hope this is not true. Oh, I went to Barnes and Noble on Saturday and bought a few books to read while I am laid up. My surgery does not start until 1pm, I have to be there by 11am, on Friday. I plan on sleeping until 9:45am, since I cannot eat or drink, it will keep my mind off of a good cup of coffee. Updated on 1 Mar 2012: Well it is the night before surgery, and I am very anxious. I just bathed my little one and combed her hair, and getting ready to go out to eat with the hubby and daughter. I will be NPO after midnight so gotta eat good before hand. I will post pics on Monday after my drains are removed. Wish me luck folks. Updated on 2 Mar 2012: Hello all. I feel great right now. I have been sleeping alot. Anyhow, my surgery went well today. What a huge difference. I am suppose to be a small c cup. I can see my stomach. Lol. The surgery took 2 hours. I recovered for 2.5 because i couldnt wakeup and when I did wake up, I was very sick with nausea and pain. The painis much better and I am in bed resting. I bought a pillow from Walmart with the arms on it for 12.88. It is really comfy and keeps me on my back. I also bought my button up pajamas from Walmart too. Make sure you were a hoodie to your surgery and sweats. I hope this helps those of you who are waiting for your date. I love my new look. Updated on 5 Mar 2012: Had my post op appointment today. The drainage tubes were removed during this appointment and honestly, I really did not even feel them being taken out. My boobs are a little swollen, however they look great. I was very impressed when the bandages were removed. I am excited because I get to shower today (yay me). I am really constipated from the surgery, and just bought some exlax. I was advised to wear cami tops for the first 2 weeks, so I went to WalMart and bought a cami in every color. This is one of the best things that I have ever done for myself. I love it. See my pics. Updated on 6 Mar 2012: 4 days post op today and everday seems to be a better day for me. I also do have feeling in both nipples!!!!!! Updated on 17 Mar 2012: 2 weeks post-op. I feel great and I look great. My self esteem has went through the roof!!! I lost 3 pounds from the surgery. I will have my staples removed on Monday. Yay!!!! This was the best decision ever. Updated on 17 Mar 2012: Also, I have one more thing to add. I HAVE NOT SMOKED IN 31/2 WEEKS AND I HAVE NO DESIRE TOO!!!! Updated on 19 Mar 2012: I had my 2 week post op appointment today. Actually, I am two days over, however, Doctor informed me today that he removed 900 grams per side, thats a total of 1800. I knew I was huge but not that huge. Lol. Also, I had my staples removed and that was a relief. I was informed that the only thing I could do for the itching would be to take benadryl orally. I can begin to use vitamin E oil in 1 week. Whoo Hoo!!! I return to see Doctor in 1 month. I am ready to shop for some sexy colorful bras with matching undies now. Gonna be a little different wearing something other that black, beige and white. :-) Updated on 28 Mar 2012: Hello, does anyone have a remedy to help with the itching??? I am 2 days shy of being 4 weeks post-op, my boobs look great, however they are peeling and itching like crazy. I have been using Vtamin E oil daily but wondered if anyone had any other ideas other than benadryl. Thanks. Updated on 3 Apr 2012: It has been one month and 1 day since my surgery. Hard to believe this Friday will be 5 weeks since surgery. I am still not smoking and feeling pretty good. I am continuing to use my vitamin E oil that my PS recommended I use. The itching seems to be relieved with ice packs thanks to all who recommended that. I am just now able to sleep on my side, but I must have a pillow tucked under me. Other than that I am feeling fantastic. Please see pics. Updated on 3 Apr 2012: I also bought a few soft cups bras this weekend for when I am ready to wear them. They are a 38 C, hot pink and baby blue. I am excited about this. Updated on 17 Apr 2012: Well, I went to my PS yesterday for myt 6 week check up and I am healing perfectly. I have been released of all restriction and am now able to return to full speed workouts and more. I am so happy with my boobs. Updated on 18 May 2012: Hello all! Haven't been on in a while, but all is well. I was so excited to be able to shop at Victoria Secrets! I actually can wear a 38D from there but I bought a few more bras that were a 38C! I am told that Vicky Secrets bras tend to run one size smaller. I believe that to be the case. I am really loving the new me other than, I now have a small pooch, thinking about a tummy tuck!
I lost 160lbs and needed a BA/BL. Dr told me to just get bigger implants and I won’t need a lift. I got the BA in June and needed a lift on October. My incisions opened before I even made it home that day. I had a hematoma removed 2 weeks later. Dr has not listened to any of my concerns. He blows me off, makes me feel stupid and my breast look horrible. He has mangled me for life.
