Dr. Urban answers all questions, takes his time, and is extremely thorough. His professionalism is top notch and we are fortunate to have such a caring and gifted physician in this community. I have made several referals to friends that require or want plastic surgery. I give him five stars. I have had to work with other pastic surgeons in the past and there is no comparison. I will continue to see Dr. Urban for any and all plastic surgical needs I have. He is a delight to work with and his credentials, caring, and prefessional exerience show in the work he does.
I am 35 years old. When I was 21, I decided my boobs were too small and all I could think about was getting a boob job. Some of my college sorority sisters had gotten one so I just had to have one too. I was a 34B so about average. Made an apt for a consultation with a fabulously recommended ps. I told her I wanted to end up a C cup in the end. Fast forward to after the surgery and all the swelling is down only to discover I was a full D cup. Much bigger than anticipated. Fast forward again thru getting married, gaining a few unwanted pounds, and having my son in 2008....my boobs somehow managed to morph into DD's. I swear they were getting bigger by the second. In 2011, I was diagnosed with MS. To have MS is a giant pain in the rear, but to have MS and all the back pain associated with being top heavy was just over the top. So, I decided to look into getting my implants removed. At first I was thinking I'd get smaller ones put back in (I wanted to be the C cup I initially signed up for) but after meeting with a ps here in town, he informed me I just might have enough breast tissue to be a C without any implants. Sounds good to me! Because of all my sag, we decided I'd get the implants removed and have a lift as well. Yesterday was my surgery. What was suppose to be a 3 hour deal turned into a 5 hour surgery. Apparently my ps is a perfectionist and took longer than expected. I was super nervous about being put to sleep, as in I was a crying hot mess. But now that it's over, that really was the easy part. Sleeping on my back was horrid last nite! I'm such the tummy sleeper so this will be tough to get used too. My pain level has been moderate. I've been taking the pain med every 4 hours to stay on top of it though. I have a post op apt today so I'm super nervous to get a peek at what the girls look like. I've been too scared to peek up to this point! I'll post pics of the after as soon as I can! Updated on 12 Feb 2016: Yesterday's post op went great! Dr Urban took the ace bandage off and I felt so much better! I took a peek in the mirror and even though they look slightly scary, they look great! The ps put me in an unattractive bra and told me to come back Monday to have drains removed. Updated on 12 Feb 2016: So bloated still! I sent out the hubby to buy some stool softener as these pain meds have me super stuffed up. I need to shower today but I'm afraid to take the bra off and look. I know that sounds silly but I'm afraid of being disappointed or seeing something I don't want to. I know that's wierd. If I get brave enough to take my bra off later I'll post a pic. Updated on 13 Feb 2016: The girls are bruised and swollen but beautiful! Updated on 15 Feb 2016: Had the drains removed this morning! It was excruciating! All those saying it doesn't hurt are either completely delusional or heavily medicated! I know I screamed more than once! I was off the pain meds until I had those things yanked out! Ugh! Updated on 16 Feb 2016: It's amazing the change I see in them each day! Updated on 24 Feb 2016: Feeling great!
I didn't consider breast augmentation until after the birth of my first child. Prior to children I was a perky but small 34 b cup, that never bothered me, until I was left with sad deflated breasts. I love my children it was worth it, but if you can fix that aspect of your body, well why not. I did my research for over a year. I have a couple of friends that have had it done and they looked amazing. I went to two consults and I picked my favorite, she was so kind and knowledgeable. A week later I went back to her office to pay for my deposit and set the surgery date, they informed me that she was longer taking on new surgerys until after the first of the year due to a change in hospital affiliations. I was back to consulting with a different surgeon as I wanted to have the surgery done before the end of the year. It was a difficult decision to make, but I did go with a different surgeon than I anticipated. I decided to go with Dr. Gregory Urban, he was also knowledgeable, but he lacked beside manners. I showed him pictures of what I expected and we decided on 450cc memory gel implants. I'll give my stats for reference. 5'5 130 lbs 32 yr old I had some asymmetry prior to surgery, which he had explained he would need to go bigger on one side than the other. I had surgery, the process was not as bad as I had imagined. To fast forward I am now 9 months post op. My right implant is still high, and makes my asymmetry even more noticeable. I have gone back with concerns relating to he higher implant, after 3 months he said it would drop in time. Now that I am at 9 months post op he has agreed to do a revision. What I have a hard time with is that his office does not return calls, if you have a question you have to call several times until they can be reached, and when you finally get through they tell they will call you back after speak with the doctor and again you have to call back as they do not return calls. I had a recent appointment with the Dr. To voice my concerns over the high implant, he acted as if he was upset with me, and as if I were taking up his time. I am having second thoughts of having him do my revision not of lack of knowledge but lack of professionalism. I am his patient and I expect to be treated with respect.
