Dr Wong is an amazing Doctor, my brother used him for A lower eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) because he's vain, always wanting to look good. it actually took 10 years off him. My mother also had the same surgery done because of aging, she looks fantastic. Dr. Wong is very thorough and informative, my mother felt very well taken care of. I love this office so much, Rachel did my Morpheus8, pixel and lumenis treatment. I have nothing but positive experience with her, I love how she give me her input and I trust her 1000%. For me, it is very important for my Aesthetic/Cosmetic nurse to look good, Rachel is all that. She is beautiful inside and out with beautiful skin. I love this office, everyone is so kind and beautiful. I highly recommend this place, very professional.
I was always told by my MD, fraxel was the best procedure to treat the fine lines, texture and pore issues around my mouth and chin. I was always scared to touch my face with exception to botox or sculptra (which I had only done twice). I was referred to a nurse and asked her about Morpheus8 or fraxel for my concerns and she said Morpheus8 all the way. She did not listen to the two areas I wanted to treat. Sold me her modality not what was best for my face. I am incredibly thin. Little did she tell me that this procedure would refine my jawline and remove volume in my entire face that I couldn’t afford to lose in the first place. All I wanted was fine lines and texture improvement. My texture is now like an orange peel all over the bottom half of my face, my tone is dull, hyper pigmentation increased, and my skin doesn’t feel the same, it feels awful. My chin has marks and indentations it didn’t have before due to the loss of volume. My chin/Jawline has been refined to a square like chin and volume is gone from my mid face and below. I went there to take after photos and I had tinted sunblock and her feedback was oh your tone looks great. I went to my derm and she said that she would never have done that procedure on me. Now i can’t replace the fat that was removed I have to pay an extra 1400 for sculptra to fill in those areas lost. My texture is also so much worse and you can see my veins from the loss of volume in my lower face. It’s awful. My under eye area is much more crepey *see pics below. Feel like it aged me by 10 years. Biggest regret. Above all she didn’t even tell me how to properly prepare for this procedure like stop retin a five days prior which I learned after the fact or tell me how painful it would be or that she was resurfacing (burning my chin and under eye area). Updated on 30 Oct 2023: This is a terrible treatment unless you want to age yourself @rachael_frazierrn put profit over proper patient selection. I went in to discuss pore size and texture around my mouth and chin. Inquired about this or fraxel. She said Morpheus and I trusted her. Never wanted or needed contouring, defining or fat removal and that is what I got. She used wrong frequency and needle depth per company guidelines for someone with a thin face and skin as well as went outside of indication for chin with needle depth and frequency. She also didn’t prepare me properly on this procedure. Said retin a use was fine. Now I’m left with a deflated face and pockets of lost volume I can never get back throughout lower face. Also, left with skin that has lost collagen and damaged. Total DevastationThen the plastic surgeon tried to gas light me saying I had sculptra and this was probably what I looked like before I had sculptra. Too bad that seems counterintuitive if this procedure is supposed to plump and buildCollagen. Also, I had had sculptra over a year and a half in two different areas. SoDishonest of him and dismissive.
My name is Craig. If I could give negative 5 stars I would. On November 28, 2017 Granger B. Wong performed a septoplasty on me at UC Davis plastic surgery center in Sacramento, CA. Ever since then I have had chronic face pain, which has caused insomnia and depression. I am in pain all the time. I wish I never met Granger B. Wong. My life has been miserable ever since. When you get a surgery from Dr. Wong he expects you to accept whatever he decides to do with no discussion beforehand. I can't believe I was so dumb and trusting. But I thought since the procedure was being performed at UC Davis and was approved by my insurance that everything would be ok. On the day of the surgery Dr. Wong did not see me either before or after the procedure. At my post operative appointment on December 7, 2017 I did not see Dr. Wong either. Instead I was seen by the resident in training who assisted Dr. Wong and another resident. At the time I was having bleeding fr my right nostril and severe pain. The resident, a woman whose name I don't recall, examined me with her cell phone flashlight. I was astonished that was the extent of sophistication she used to examine me. After a brief examination, she determined everything was normal. But I knew it wasn't. It is now January 1, 2020. I have lived with chronic pain every day since my surgery. The pain is so bad I often wish I was dead. I don't enjoy life anymore. I don't have an appetite anymore. I used to be physically active. I used to ride my bike. I used to play ultimate. I used to laugh and smile. I used to have friends. Soon I probably will be unemployed, then homeless. If anything is gained or learned by my experience with Dr. Wong I hope it is that no one ever receives a surgery from him again. He should not be practicing medicine anywhere in the world on anyone. Please do not get surgery from Granger B. Wong.
I was referred to Dr. Wong by my aunt for a breast augmentation. She had a great experience with him about 15 years ago. I chose him since I trusted her opinion and research. He was fine in person and was able to get appointments quickly. After the surgery, I noticed that both of my implants could be clearly seen from the bottom of my breasts. I told him my concern at the follow up and he said that it was because I had thin skin. The problem is that he never told me this could happen or that I had thin skin and would need additional support. He said, “Just remember, it’s better than where you started from.” Wow, ok. He said he would do the surgery again but I would have to pay for the hospital bills and the addditonal support needed. At the time, I wasn’t able to afford another several thousand since he was already a thousand more than other doctors. 4 years later, I am now looking to get them redone by someone else. I do not recommend Dr. Wong.
My surgery is 1 week from today and I am really scared about how much pain I will be in and how I will end up looking. I'm also afraid of how bad the scars will look. I have a high hairline so I know the scars will be easily visible. I don't want to look different, you know like someone else, just rejuvenated. I just had cataract surgery and no longer need to where glasses. I'm hoping people will just think I look different because they haven't seen me without glasses for 15 years. Updated on 6 Aug 2014: Updated on 16 Aug 2014: Thank you so much everyone for your concerns! Until today I just wasn't up to getting on the internet and posting pics, etc. I do have so much to share, though First, my husband was absolutely fabulous and has been taking such wonderful care of me. Also, my surgeon and the nurses at uc davis med center were the best, too. So far the worst part was the first day when my eyes had swollen so badly that I could feel the stitches scratching my eyes every time I blinked or moved them..extremely painful. By the next morning it was much better. The second worst thing was the horrible side effects I had from the norco, itching, pounding headache and feeling like I was going to come out of my skin. When I went back to see my surgeon on thursday to remove the drain he prescribed me valium and tylenol with codeine and also said I could start taking ibroprofen. I started feeling better immediately. I was finally able to sleep, too. I go back next thursday to have my eye stitches and the stitches along my face removed. I week later he will remove the stitches behind my ears. As you can see by the pictures I was pretty bruised to begin with but that is quickly going away. I have been taking arnica montana so I don't know if its from that. My face is still pretty swollen and last night I did have a fever of almost 101. The ps on call said to take ibroprofen since it was probably due to having my drain removed and the swelling/inflammation caused a fever. It seemed to work because by morning my temp was back to normal. I can't thank everyone on here enough for your support and kind words. You gave me the courage to follow through and knowing that I would improve quickly. Thanks again everyone!!! Updated on 3 Sep 2014: Its hard to believe its already been 3 weeks! I am feeling almost like my old self again. I still have some numbness although most of the tightness is gone. I also still have some faint bruising about an 1/2 inch under my eyes in the shape of a crescent. Other than that I feel pretty good. I'm still not real happy about my upper eyelids so I'm pretty sure I will go with the enhancement to pull my outer brows up a bit more. My pc will discuss this more with me when I see him at 6 weeks, 3 weeks from now. All and all I'm pretty happy and have not regrets whatsoever in doing this. Here is a pic I just took of myself (with no makeup) Updated on 5 Oct 2014: Hard to believe its almost been 8 weeks. I did have my enhancement done to help raise my eyes a bit more. Today is our wedding anniversary and my husband took these pics. I am so happy that I had this done and am extremely happy with my doctor(s)! Updated on 15 Oct 2014: I had a few people ask me what kind of enhancement I had done. I originally had a temperal lift and I still had a little excess skin above my right eye so my ps extended the left by an inch or so. It was done in his office with local anesthetic. It was completley pain free and since I took a Xanex I slept through it all. I am extremely happy with the results. Updated on 15 Oct 2014: Not sure if you can tell the difference, but I can and am very happy with the results.
