Ok, so I'm biting the bullet and going to post some before pics. As you can see i have redundant skin and abnormal fat deposits in my belly. I'm not near my "goal" weight, but been told by two surgeons that this will change my life. I'm also having breast reduction and lipo to bra roll and flanksUpdated on 20 Feb 2013:Had a 7 hour surgery, home now, not in too much pain. Already happy with what was done.Updated on 28 Feb 2013:So Dr took an 8lb roll off my stomach, 1 1/2 lbs off each breast and 4 lbs of Lipo. 15lbs total. So excited. My breasts look great, I still need to look fully at the TT. I'm not back to my computer yet but when I do I'll type up the play by play. I also totally forgot after pictures at my appointment. I'll try to take some myself.Updated on 28 Feb 2013:During my surgery prep, husband was with me, and the doctor said they don't usually see the support of the husband at these types of surgeries, I can't imagine doing this without him. Any of you not have the full support of your husbands?Updated on 20 Mar 2013:Was feeling really bad about my results, so I decided to try on a swim suit that looked ridiculous before tt and reduction! I do not have a perfect body, but I think I look hot in the pink halter suit! ;)
I am 18 years old and have been told I'm "well-endowed" since I started wearing a bra in the 4th grade. By 7th grade I was a 34D and I'm now 5'10", 165 pounds, and a 36DDD on one side and a DD on the other. I have been considering BR for a while now, even though I'm tall the girls are still absolutely uncomfortable. I'm a little nervous about the pain, and I'm nervous about the recovery but I'm very much looking forward to this surgery. I had my consultation a few weeks ago and have been cleared for surgery. I'll update my experience as it comes. Thank you for sharing all of your experiences. It's really been a inspiration to me. :) More Soon, TorieUpdated on 24 Dec 2012:So my PS called a few days ago and changed my surgery date to the 26th at 6:00 AM. It actually turned out really nice because I haven't had much time to think about the surgery. I'm so excited but obviously a little nervous as anyone would be going into a big surgery (especially one on such a sensitive area). Anyways, I am 1 day pre op and just hoping it all turns out well! My doctor is very nice and my nurse is especially helpful. If there's anyone with any last minute advice I would very much appreciate it! Wish me luck! More Soon, TorieUpdated on 27 Dec 2012:So I'm first day post op and spent pretty much all day yesterday sleeping. My pain yesterday want so bad but this morning it's about a 7 or 8. I took some pain meds so that would help. Overall though the surgery went really well. I'll post more soon TorieUpdated on 28 Dec 2012:Well yesterday was not the most fun day. Even as exciting as this surgery is, there is pain involved. I'm not a big fan of the walking but when I'm sitting its just a little uncomfortable which is ok. 2 days post op and I definitely feel improvement everyday. I have my first post op follow up today and I should be able to get te drains out so crossing my fingers. Other than that I just can't wait to see the girls!!Updated on 30 Dec 2012:I am now 4 days post op and I felt so much better this morning. I got my drains taken out 2 days ago which hurt but after felt fabulous. I'm healing up pretty well. Looks great on one side but still a tiny bit of bleeding I have to watch on the other. Walking is easier, and showering was wonderful but I really wish I would have gotten another bra so I could wash this one. I'm still taking mild pain medicine and feel the most pain around my armpits where there was suction. I might have over done it a bit today but I think resting the next few days will fix the damage. I didn't realize how asymmetrical I was. My doctor took 360 out of my right sight (the side that's not going as well) and 960 out of the other. I was almost blown away. Anyway my next post op is Thursday so things should e getting much better by then. Still so happy with my decision. Definitely takes a load off my shoulders,,,literally. Wishing you all the best! TorieUpdated on 29 Jan 2013:Well I'm now 5 weeks post op and I am incredibly happy. I have moved from a DDD to a full C! :) For the most part it was a pretty smooth recovery. Very minimal pain past week one. Taking the drains out was easily the worst part. I had a few complications on one side which made it so I had to leave the steri-strips on longer, but I feel great and am SO SO grateful I did this. I wish I would have done it sooner. For anyone considering it, I'm here to tell you you won't regret it.
Looking for advise as I'm terrified. I have it scheduled for later this month depending on insurance if they approve it. I'm currently a 34DDD, cannot find a bra that fits right, dr said it's possible it's still too small of a bra. He sent to the insurance a suggestion of about 300 grams to be removed, which puts it roughly a B-C cup. Husband is a boob guy and he's a big upset that I want to 'take that away from him' and he's concerned that they will be lopsided etc. The doctor has been doing it for 25+ years and said that he's rarely had to go back in to fix something. Suggestions/advice. Anything you would do differently if you did it again, or knew originally? Updated on 18 Sep 2013: Went to another doctor, this one does more reductions/enlargements to reconstruct or match after cancer. he said that he thinks the insurance would suggest 360 grams to take from each and then handed me a 370 gram implant, once he handed it to me he said he feels that it would make what is left too small for my frame/size. So now I'm really unsure what to do. I have 34 DDD and the first doctor suggested 300 grams and estimated it would be a B-C after. Having issues getting the doctor to actually get the papers to the insurance, they said they faxed them twice and insurance hasn't gotten them either time.... And in the meantime I'm getting more confused and nervous and less likely to do it and just deal with it. The doctor today said it's possible they will still grow, I've gained at least 1 cup size every year for 4 years. I started dating my husband 4 years ago as a B, been a DDD for about 6 months or a bit longer. =/ Now what, a third opinion just so I have 2-1 opinions? Updated on 20 Sep 2013: Insurance has approved, the second dr guessed the amount exactly. 360 grams from each. Husband thinks going to a B to mid C would be too small. I'm adding a picture maybe girls here can give some insight. I got a little bit of time to decide. The second dr did say that he thinks it would be too small on me aesthetically. So I really honestly do not know what to do now.
