WORTH IT

I am 18 years old and have been told I'm "well-endowed" since I started wearing a bra in the 4th grade. By 7th grade I was a 34D and I'm now 5'10", 165 pounds, and a 36DDD on one side and a DD on the other. I have been considering BR for a while now, even though I'm tall the girls are still absolutely uncomfortable. I'm a little nervous about the pain, and I'm nervous about the recovery but I'm very much looking forward to this surgery. I had my consultation a few weeks ago and have been cleared for surgery. I'll update my experience as it comes. Thank you for sharing all of your experiences. It's really been a inspiration to me. :)

Hi Torie, I am post surgery day 6, and while it was a bit painful on day 1 and still a little twinge now and then it was so worth it! I was a 40D/DD am 5'9" and 170, now it looks like I am a 36/38B! You are going to love having smaller, perky girls. Just plan to take it easy after surgery, use your pain meds and let someone else take care of you and it will be no time before you are recovered and at the beach in a cute little top! I had to wait 5 weeks from scheduling and surgery so time will go by quickly.

Thank you so much! That is so comforting to know. Are you happy you went down so much? I told my doctor I was shooting for a large B or Small C but he feels like I might not be very happy with that. What are your thoughts?

I heard the same thing I chose as small as he could go safely....if I want more I can buy a cute bra for that special outfit! I had more than my share for too long! No regrets whatsoever with my decision. Ironically, I got the same advice from the girls on this site as well as a personal friend. You can always add something with a bra! BTW...my husband was in a bit of "mourning" but he has nothing but wow to say.

That's actually really good to know. Thank you so much for your advice and support. I know I"ll be needing it a lot in a few weeks. I'm a little nervous, but I think this could turn out to be the best Christmas present I ever had.

So my PS called a few days ago and changed my surgery date to the 26th at 6:00 AM. It actually turned out really nice because I haven't had much time to think about the surgery. I'm so excited but obviously a little nervous as anyone would be going into a big surgery (especially one on such a sensitive area). Anyways, I am 1 day pre op and just hoping it all turns out well! My doctor is very nice and my nurse is especially helpful. If there's anyone with any last minute advice I would very much appreciate it! Wish me luck!
