WORTH IT
Well I'm now 5 weeks post op and I am incredibly happy. I have moved from a DDD to a full C! :) For the most part it was a pretty smooth recovery. Very minimal pain past week one. Taking the drains out was easily the worst part. I had a few complications on one side which made it so I had to leave the steri-strips on longer, but I feel great and am SO SO grateful I did this. I wish I would have done it sooner. For anyone considering it, I'm here to tell you you won't regret it.

You said that you had it done by Gary R Hunter, who is who I just seen and he scheduled it for about 3 weeks from now. Did you like him after the surgery? He seems nice before and all I just want to make sure it's not like he stops being good after the surgery because the big part is done.

I am now 4 days post op and I felt so much better this morning. I got my drains taken out 2 days ago which hurt but after felt fabulous. I'm healing up pretty well. Looks great on one side but still a tiny bit of bleeding I have to watch on the other. Walking is easier, and showering was wonderful but I really wish I would have gotten another bra so I could wash this one. I'm still taking mild pain medicine and feel the most pain around my armpits where there was suction. I might have over done it a bit today but I think resting the next few days will fix the damage. I didn't realize how asymmetrical I was. My doctor took 360 out of my right sight (the side that's not going as well) and 960 out of the other. I was almost blown away. Anyway my next post op is Thursday so things should e getting much better by then. Still so happy with my decision. Definitely takes a load off my shoulders,,,literally. Wishing you all the best!

So glad to hear that things are going so well for you. I remember the noticeable healing I felt when the drains came out. Best wishes for 2013 and good healing!

Well yesterday was not the most fun day. Even as exciting as this surgery is, there is pain involved. I'm not a big fan of the walking but when I'm sitting its just a little uncomfortable which is ok. 2 days post op and I definitely feel improvement everyday. I have my first post op follow up today and I should be able to get te drains out so crossing my fingers. Other than that I just can't wait to see the girls!!
