I just recently visited for my 1 year checkin to see progress and results. I could not express how professional and courtesy the entire staff, Chris Clark, and Doctor Watkins have been since my consult, surgery, and check ins. I am 110% satisfied with my results, as I did the "strip" procedure and get compliments on how full it is. Doc Watkins and Chris made the process very seamless, educational, and at my pace. I have recommended Washington Medical group to many of my friends and the results have spoken for themselves. I am blessed to have found and worked with their entire team, there is no one better in the business and I am thankful they are located in the DC metro area!! Take time to schedule a consult, even if your are not sure yet, Chris Clark will make you feel very comfortable with options, educate you, and be honest with everything. He was great to work with, and Doctor Watkins is literally the best in the world!
I had my hair surgery with wmhc 9 months ago. It was a fue procedure. When I went there I was a little nervous and unsure as I had a not so pleasant experience with another group. I was referred by Morgan a RN in the group to Dr Watkins. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of time and detail they went through in my consultation. I must have asked him 100 different questions but everything was unrushed and he completely answered all of my questions. On my day of surgery Dr Watkins and the nurses and staff were awesome. They made me super comfortable and I watched Netflix and even chatted with the staff. Even though all of this was great, I was more concerned what my hair would look like. So at a little over 9 months I am very happy and know there is more to come. If you are considering getting your hair back I would recommend that you give these guys a look!
Hi guys!!! Here's the short story 9 yrs I was schedule to get my BA. Two weeks before the procedure, I chickened out and both a house instead. Now after having 2 kids, and still feel the need to get it done, I decided to do so this time around I'm not so scared. I'm just bad with pain and I hope it all goes well. I'm getting 375cc saline mod plus under the muscle. Updated on 19 Apr 2016: Surgery was scheduled for 9:30am today. I arrived at 8:15. The nurses were extremely nice. I thought I would be nervous but I was totally calm. I did my urine sample, got my IV and was off to surgery. The last thing I remember the nurse putting pads in my leg and then I remember waking up. Boom:) Nausea: I was a little nauseous after surgery but that last only until I got home and ate something. I'm sore but not in pain. I'm sitting, standing, walking and I can move my arms. Drink: I've been drinking a lot of water. I seem to be thirsty a lot. Meds: I haven't taken any med since the surgery and it is now 6 hrs since I woke up. I hope this continues to be smooth. Updated on 24 Apr 2016: So I've been staying away from RS. I'm having major boob greed. I'm still very swollen and I do not like the way they look without the bra. My pain level is nonexistent. I do not take the meds other than the antibiotics. I guess patience is a virtue. I see my doctor tomorrow. Updated on 26 Apr 2016: Taking it one day at a time. Updated on 2 May 2016:
After 20+ years of dragging around my belly, it was finally time to get the tummy tuck I had been wishing for. I stopped dragging my feet and went for my free consultation with Dr. Watkins. Worth EVERY single penny!! I am 3 months out and couldn't be happier....I also had a breast lift with augmentation and I couldn't be more pleased! Very natural and exactly what I wanted. Updated on 17 Mar 2015: 3months post op on my Tummy Tuck. What a huge difference!!
Hello RS dolls! I'm 30 years old, just turned 30. I'm 5'7 and weigh 190, with A saggy barely B cup. This is something I've been wanting to do since I was 19, 20 years old. Yes! 10 years and it's finally here. So I decided to stay in Maryland to get my procedure done. I was supposed to get my breast augmentation back in March of 2020, but due to covid-19 it was pushed forward and forward to a more reasonable date. June 24th, Wednesday of this month. On Tuesday I will know the time to be at the surgery center. Yes! So my doctor is Dr. Fredrick Watkins. The office staff are very nice and friendly and his assistant Mrs. Roscio is amazing as well, I can call her every day with a question and she's there with answers and knowledge. I feel very comfortable with the staff and the doctor. Now I told him I wanted to be a double D, small tripple (maybe) with side boob and cleavage. Me and the doctor went with 650cc under the muscle. I know it seems large but I'm pretty thick already and very curvy, I feel this will just blend in with my other features as well. I did my lab test I believe Wednesday and got them back the next day and I'm cleared to have surgery yaaayyyy! So like I said Tuesday (day before surgery) I'm going up to the office to get additional items/ prescriptions etc and I will be doing some last minute shopping for the items I need. So I'm going to do some before and after pictures definitely the day after if I can. I will update yall on further information. Updated on 24 Jun 2020: I've made it ladies and gents ro the other side and it feels great! Soo my last post I mentioned I was going to the pre-opt which was on the 6/23, at the appointment I got additional information on what I needed to do the night before and instructions on what pain reliever I needed to take before 12am which is the same time I had to stop eating food and drinking anything until after the surgery. I had to take 2 Tylenol extra strength PM (blue p.m font on box) to help me go to sleep and fight nervousness. I also had to take 2 Tylenol extra strength in the morning right before surgery, so I took them at 6 when I first woke up. My surgery was scheduled for 8am and took about 1-2 hours and I stayed an additional 1hr in recovery so they can make sure I was good to go. I had gotten 650 cc under the muscle, high profile, mentor round smooth implants. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LoVE THE LOCATION I WENT everyone in that office is Super nice, super genuine , VERY INFORMATIVE and KNOWLEDGEABLE, hands down Professional and great patient assistance. From my doctor I chose to the anesthesiologist, the nurses, front desk staff, the doctors assistant etc.. They knocked alllll that nervousness out (to piggy back on that) The best thing for The ladies and gents that's going into surgery is to first have a POSITIVE MINDSET/STATE going in. I go off of Vibes personally, and going into an elective surgery you NEED to FEEL COMFORTABLE with Every staff member that I mentioned prior to my experience that's in the building, also when you feel someone is being genuine concerns, great comfortability, reminders that are GENUINE [not trying to just take money] that's when it's the right place for you VS feeling like they're not listening, non-professional. Non personal, straight to the point, rushing ECT. I'm not trying to be friends but if a staff is about to put you "under the knife" you better form some type of a relationship ..my opinion but this is what makes GREAT OUTCOMES, Great results and a better understanding of recovery and what to expect. Soooooo now that is out of the way( Look I'm passionate). Prior to surgery I had filled my prescription at a pharmacy near by after my pre-opt appointment. So I had my med ready for to take as soon as surgery was over. When I first got there they had me fill out some paperwork, change into a hospital gown, hospital socks, hospital undies, and a hospital bonnet lol. And I had to take a urine test to confirm I wasn't pregnant. After that, (I couldn't pee, idk if I was just nervous or didn't drink enough water prior to the cutt off of water the night before. Soo I had an IV of fluids , at this time my doctor comes in , my nurse , the anesthesiologist and I believe 1 other nurse, I had filled out some more paperwork and Dr. Fredrick Watkins did my marking's and we went over what I wanted again to confirm my wishes and what he think was best but he listened and. Went with everything I wanted. I cannot stop praising these people. Ok anyway after that, I finally got my urine test in and is ready to go to the surgery room. The anesthesiologist explained everything that was going to happen ( not while) which is comforting also he reminded me that I Will be taken cared of, and Dr Watkins reinsured that I will see him "soon" and said " sleep Goodnight, well good morning " we all laughed and after that, I was out like "the switch challenge" and woke up with what I imagined and wanted ...they do look like Frankensteins boobs but they're my Frankenstein's boob. Which will drop.....Nowwww waking up though, no burning sensations, no hurting but it definitely was uncomfortable with pressure lots of pressure, ( like that famous elephant ) that's on your chest lol ..Now I do have a good amount of pain tolerance so maybe this helped and the the anesthesia helped as well because it's still in your system.Plus I had gotten medicine through the Iv. I was able to get up and walk around almost every 2 hours at home and meds is on point, they also gave me a medline breathing/lung exercise tool for me to get my lungs on the same page as the rest of body lol.....ok.... Fast forward I am going to stop rambling now ...I will update some more tomorrow. I'm currently 11-12 hours out of surgery, let's see how this sleep do me and how I wake up I will attach some pictures of me after surgery, and I will also attach the breathing tool I was given as well the next day ...Alright xoxoxo Updated on 25 Jun 2020: Ohhh my! Waking up this morning was very interesting. I had lots of pressure and stiffness. No burning sensations or painful Feelings, just pressure and slightly aches. I'm on meds I can barely write this, that being said I will update some more later the. The Medline breathing tool they gave me is to help my lungs adapt with the implants'. I stopped a bad habit of smoking cigarettes for ` 2 weeks prior to sx and smoked for 10 years, so maybe you don't need this if you weren't a smoker. Or ,maybe you will. Ok I'ma sorry if this is sooo much but I'm here to spread some Knowledge, I'm very drowsy. Ok I'm going to sleep.e Updated on 28 Jun 2020: Hello ladies and Gents I'm coming back with another update on the girls, I'm felling waaaaaaay better and can finally lift both arms and I have no pain really, just stiffness and pressure in the morning. I've noticed my right breast underneath is numb and pretyb warm to the touch. Thses meds make me really sleepy lol I can barely write a review. I go to my first follow up appointment which is my first week post opt appointment on Thursday. I believe they will remove the original surgery bra I went home with on sx day. Hopefully they give me the ok to take a shower. Also I want to ask about working out on the treadmill ,such as speed walking. Also I want to see if they recommend a different bra, the one I have is cutting into my incision. Also ladies bloating, I look 8 months pregnant sheeshhh what can I take or do for my bloating to decrease. They're definitely still sitting highh ....
Hair transplant will not counteract your tendency to bald. Grafted hairs should be biochemically protected from MPB if harvested appropriately from the lower posterior scalp. Based on your age, the best thing to do would be to see a hair transplant doctor and discuss this. Younger patients with aggressive loss would be better served to wait and also to use adjunctive means of maintaining existing hair.
Thanks for submitting the photograph. Often it is easier to tell what you need in person, but a rough estimate from what I see is in the range of 1200-1500. Hope that helps.
It is unlikely to lose transplanted hair so long as it was harvested from the appropriate "protected" or "safe zone." It is possible that the lost follicles are really your native hair that is thinning. As to options now, that would require consultation with a hair transplant doctor.
Generally I would recommend waiting 48-72 hours for first shampoo using a cup of room temperature water with shampoo mixed in applied gently. At 7-14 days normal shampooing can be resumed. This is true for the typical patient in my practice but you should confer with your own physician.
Brachioplasty (AKA arm lift) can be designed in different ways. Cosmetic surgery for the arms can be something as simple as liposuction alone, provided the skin elasticity is good. If there is loose skin, a procedure that removes this skin is usually necessary. The tradeoff (as for most cosmetic surgery) is the scar that will result. An arm lift that only requires a small tuck may be done with the incision positioned in the axilla (armpit). This scar would only be visible when wearing clothing that exposes this area, and when the arm is raised. In my experience, this sort of arm tuck/lift is often not as satisfying from an aesthetic standpoint. More often, an effective arm lift requires an incision from armpit to elbow (along the lower border of the arm). Clearly this creates a scar that is more difficult to hide. Unless the clothing passes the elbow, the scar will be visible. The quality of the scar (thick/raised versus thin/flat) varies from person to person and is not solely dependent on surgical technique. The patients who are most happy with this procedure are those who have difficulty fitting their arms into clothing and are willing to accept the scar for improved clothing fit.
