-BMI 39 -5.7 -250 -United Healthcare -Requirements 6 month diet nonconsecutive within the last 2 years Mental Evaluation EGD Medical Clearance And informational meeting -Sounds like a lot but honestly it hasn't been - I'm nervous I've been dealing with my weight since I was an adolescent (I think I have body dysmorphia) I know this surgery is a tool and that I'm going to lose weight the first year but I have to work to keep it off. I inspired my mom to look into surgery we live in different states and her insurance only requires a 3 month diet. I have July and August left so hopefully we could do surgery together! -My last weigh in is August 14th. -I am hoping everything gets approved end of August or beginning of September and I can do my Liquid diet and surgery end of September or early October. I am ready for the lifestyle change! Updated on 5 Aug 2017: I got approved for surgery by the insurance company! I thought I had one more month to go for my diet but my patient representative sent all my paperwork( I have no idea when she did it) and called me Wednesday and got the call rolling! I had pre-op yesterday(Thursday) I start my liquid diet on Sunday and I have surgery August 16th! They are wasting no time!  Insurance:United HealthCare I’ve reached my deductible and Maximum out of pocket so lately all my appointment have been $0. I haven’t went over the financials for the actually surgery but it’s seem like it will be extremely low. Updated on 19 Aug 2017: Hey guys! So I am 3 days post op it’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I’m pretty gassy. I’ve been getting my liquids in and started eating jello out an 1 ounce measuring cup to make sure I’m not over eating it. Been sleepy and getting some walking in every-time I can. Soreness is like after a hards day of working out. Did two nights in the hospital extremely happy to be home and take care of myself here. I’m 241 as of today yesterday I was 245. I got this waist wrap (golds brand) it’s really been helping as far as the swelling goes and gas! Doctor prescribed me Percocet and a stool softener. Updated on 24 Dec 2017: This pic was taken today. Sleeved: 08/16/17 Lost: 68 pounds so far Current weight: 185 Goal weight: 160 Updated on 26 May 2018: Hey guys! It’s been a while, I hit my goal weight 4-5 months after surgery. I now fluctuate between 164-167 Goal was 165. This has been a journey I still have that “fat girl” mentality and I am a huge stress eater. I haven’t dump on ANYTHING and at times I wish I did so I could have that one experience to make me be like see girl your sleeve don’t like that. ????. Don’t get me wrong I don’t eat horrible all the time but I don’t eat the best either. Food addiction is REAL. I just made a major move to a new state to be closer to my boyfriend and we’re moving into house. Boy has it been stressful! I healed fast and haven’t had any complications. Get gassy from time to time but other than that I have did well. I now where a size 8/9 before I was wearing a 18-20 depending on the fit. I feel like I have left something out. If I remember I will post again! Updated on 26 May 2018: Here’s a picture guys it’s a couple months old
