I had double jaw surgery on January and I can say now that I couldn’t be happier with the results. Dr Alfaro did an amazing job and answered all of my questions (I was a little anxious before the procedure).
Also, the International Team was very caring and sweet!
This surgery has changed my life for the better!

I was so impressed by level of care and treatment I received from Dr. Federico Hernandez-Alfaro and his team. The recovery was made so easy and I couldn't believe how quickly I was able to recover. From the moment I arrived at the Institute until the last appointment I felt taken care of.

I was confident I was in good hands beforehand but I was more than reassured I made the right decision to choose Dr. Federico for surgery now that I have been through the process.

I have done my maxillofacial surgery with Dr Alfaro and feel extremely satisfied and happy about my results. I have got even better look and feel than I expected. Doctor and his team with special thanks to Petra have taken a great care of me since the first day starting from preparation with all details being explained till recovery time. I felt secure throughout the process and the surgery went really smooth. I was in close contact with Doctor during my recovery time and have got all the answers which helped me to get used to the changes.

The attention provided by Dr. Hernandez Alfaro and all his staff is beyond professional. They answered all my doubts and took care at all times that I felt accompanied and looked-after. Despite being in a foreign country I felt secure and comfortable, and of course, the results are the most important! I cannot stress enough the happy I am with the results of my surgery and the change that it has brought about in my life! All I have to say is: THANK YOU!

I had an extremely bad experience with my bimax surgery by Dr Alfaro. If you are thinking about having a bimax surgery by Dr Alfaro in Barcelona, I would run away and find somewhere else better.
I think my result ended up looking extremely bad and like a mutilated looking face, people have no idea how bad. It ended up looking way too overadvanced. As a result of this surgery I think I ended up feeling really
down beyond belief.
I also had problems after and I think they treated me really unacceptably bad especially when considering my reported problems.
I had a nice concave philtrum before my Dr Alfaro surgery. After the surgery I think it ended up looking really convex and ugly from several angles like some bad looking convex shaped philtrum. That's not even close to the worst parts.
I ended up with complications and my face I think ended up looking gruesome after the surgery. I think my face looked relatively balanced before the surgery in comparison to after and I think it was completely thrown out of balance, according to cephalometric analysis, several surgeons mentioned about this. People I have asked think that I ended up looking so much worse after the Dr Alfaro surgery. Gruesome. I didn’t like the amount of gum show visible after the surgery. I strongly believe no one would ever choose to be operated by Dr Alfaro if they knew my whole story.
If they for example write that they care about all their patients satisfaction and that they are open to find a solution and that a certain group of people believe them, then I think this group of people have absolutely no idea how terribly bad I think they treated me and my story. If they for example write that they are open to try and find the solution that works best for all parts involved then I think people really would have thought the opposite if they knew my whole story. If they for example say they really wish that I got the results that I was aiming and people actually believe them then I think they have no idea how ugly I ended up looking and how terribly bad my story really is.
I feel I was extremely tricked and lied to by Dr Alfaro. This review covers very little of my story with them, I haven't even mentioned all the worst parts.

Alfaro performed my bimaxilar surgery in May 2022. As a result I need to go through-at least two corrective surgeries- to correct what he’s done.
He took my 40k, destroyed my health and doesn’t recognise his responsibility.
